I hope you are enjoying the calmness of meditation.  Hopefully you are noticing this calmness more in the rest of your life too.Here is one way that you can consciously bring that calmness more into your day to day life.Start with some activity you don't really need to think about, say commuting to work, going to the gym, mowing the lawns.  For 10 minutes each day, while you are doing an activity like this, meditate.  Again you can focus your attention on your breathing, the sensations in your body or the space around you.  While still paying attention to the road or ensuring you don't mow your foot, keep part of your attention on your chosen focus.  Set a timer, or do it until you get to the top of the next hill or what ever works for you.Again, if your mind wanders just notice that and return your attention to your focus.  If you get all they way to work and realise you have been thinking about work all the way - that's OK.  You noticed that.  It was still a good exercise.  It is still good training.Some of you will be thinking "But I need to have time to think about things."  Yep that is true.  So set yourself some thinking time each day.  Think about your days challenges.  Think about how you want to live your life.  Most importantly at the end of that thinking time make some decisions.  Even if the decision is "I'll talk to Bob and get his advice."  or "I will be strong and rise above John's hurtful comments."  Decision made.  Now you can stop thinking about that subject and get on with living.Each day spend 10 minutes meditation while you are doing something else.  Give yourself a break from your mind.  Notice how much calmer you feel.Download audio image image imageimage
