Maximizing profits is the goal for every business. Disney happens to already be masterful at separating people from their money - add the repeated mentions of their "yield management" strategy and "demand-based pricing" from Bob Chapek and Disney brass - and it appears clear the pricing strategy for both admissions and even attractions may be changing. But to what end? Is the current reservation system performing at an optimal level resulting in Disney maximizing profits? Almost certainly not considering its infancy and recent times. If that is the case, changes are to be expected and it's very reasonable to even expect seemingly radical changes. Could reservations and/or the Magic Key Pass be terminated? Could we see Ticket allotments? Ala carte attraction fees? Variable pricing ala airline seats?
