Keeda Haynes was about to graduate from college when she was indicted on federal charges. She spent 3 1/2 years in the feds after her appeal was denied by the Supreme Court.
After incarceration Keeda went on to attain her law degree with the hopes of one day becoming a criminal attorney in spite of being a convicted felon. Keeda became a public defender helping who like her were fighting for their freedom.
Keeda Haynes is now the first ever Black woman with a felony conviction to ever run for Congress in the state of Tennessee!
