This relatively new movie podcast has quickly become a firm favourite, even though I couldn’t be described as a big horror movie fan by any stretch of the imagination. The three hosts have quite varied tastes in films and also different (and often strongly held) ideas about what counts as a horror film. This means their discussions often involve plenty of cut and thrust. (Actually, come to think of it, that figure of speech would be better suited for a pirate movie podcast...) OK, let’s say their discussions involve plenty of hack and stab, but nevertheless, it’s clear throughout that it's all in fun and they have a great deal of affection and respect for each other. The movies watched for each episode are usually selected at random from a long and eclectic list, but they’ve also covered movies connected with various holidays and festivals throughout the year. It’s a hugely fun show and I listen to new episodes within 24 hours of them appearing in my feed pretty much like clockwork at this point.

You ever watch a movie and immediately need to share it with your friends? The Fright Pub hosts are a great balance of knowledge, comedy and realness. Sometimes the movie is so good you spend most of your time drinking and raving. Other times, it is so bad you spend the evening talking about everything but the movie. Either way, I always feel like I'm hanging out with my favorite people and having a good laugh.
