Drummer John Moloney is a founding member of the band/collective Sunburned Hand of the Man. Sunburned Hand of the Man was featured on the cover of The Wire Magazine's New Weird America 2003 issue, when David Keenan coined the term New Weird America. Sunburned continues to flourish. Before Sunburned, John was in Shit Spangled Banner. He has collaborated with former Sonic Youth front man Thurston Moore, including Thurston's being the drummer for his band after Sonic Youth, Chelsea Light Moving. He has also sat in with Six Organs of Admittance, the Boredoms, and several others.
