Hello and welcome to FromPlot2Plate! We are so excited to have you join us on this incredible journey. Our podcast is all about the joys and challenges of growing our own vegetables on our family allotment, and we're thrilled to share our story with you.

We began our allotment adventure back in September 2023. It’s been an amazing and educational experience for all of us, and we have learned so much since we started. From the initial planning stages and digging the first beds to harvesting our very first crops, every step has been a blend of hard work, fun, and invaluable lessons. We've encountered both successes and setbacks, but through it all, we've grown not just vegetables, but also our passion for sustainable living and organic gardening.

This podcast is narrated by me, River, a 12-year-old girl with a love for gardening and a knack for storytelling. My family and I are vegetarians, and our dream is to one day become self-sufficient, eating only the organic food we grow on our allotment. I’m excited to take you along as we document our everyday life on the allotment. My family and I want to share what we've learned so far, from planting tips and organic pest control methods to the best times for sowing and harvesting various vegetables.

But that's not all! We’ll also keep you updated on what’s currently happening at our plot. Whether we’re planting new seeds, trying out different composting techniques, or simply enjoying the beauty of nature, you’ll be right there with us. Expect plenty of laughs, useful tips, and maybe even a few surprises along the way.
