His journey through military service took him through the sands of the Gulf War 1 and the intense experiences of Iraq during 2006-2007, where he faced the harsh reality of combat, including frequent encounters with gunfire. But Jay's story doesn't stop there; his aviation adventures are equally fascinating. He's had hands-on experience with various aircraft models, from Shnooks to B, C, and D Models, and even undertook training on the iconic Huey helicopters during his flight school days.

Not only has Jay had a remarkable military career, but he's also left his mark on the aviation industry. His connection with Southwest Airlines, where he once served as a supervisor, provides a glimpse into his professional life. And if you're ever curious about his sense of humor, just ask him about the time he playfully threw water in a fit of frustration when another supervisor sent his crew home while he had a flight to manage.
