This lesser-known Spielberg classic stars then-unknown LEGENDS Whoopi Goldberg & Oprah Winfrey as they adapt author Alice Walker's magnum opus into harrowing performances you'll never forget. Accompanied by a soundtrack composed by Quincy Jones and Michael Jackson's lyricist, Rod Temperton (the guy literally wrote 'THRILLER'), "The Color Purple" is a celebration of the human experience that is marred by brutality and tragedy, but ends up being triumphant and glorious. A true tear-jerker, please join us as we cover this beautiful cinematic gem.
