Having a mentor in Corporate America is great. Having a sponsor in Corporate America is awesome. Being a top-tier worker is outstanding! While all of us would love to have these speak to our phenomenal skill and talents at work, it’s not quite the same as singing our own praises. Self-promotion is becoming more and more necessary at work. We watch Jeff do this all the time, and sometimes for the most minor of things. Now it’s our turn to get comfortable speaking highly of ourselves to others.
