Clinton Maynard spoke to former NRL and Origin referee, Greg McCallum, who said "the focus is too tight on tackles and referees are left with little option from those who assess them week in week out, sin binning these sort of tackles is wrong". He also agrees with Dean Pay that referees are over coached.

When quizzed, Greg also hinted that anything is possible as far as him returning to the match review committee.
