This is the end My

0:03

friend of the podcast. This

0:05

is the end Hello

0:08

Lindsay. Hello Ryan. Here we

0:10

are on the final Ultimate

0:12

episode of the fun

0:14

house podcast last week was

0:16

the penultimate. Yes three weeks ago was

0:18

what the trend ultimate This

0:22

is the end It's been a

0:24

run then through a million different iterations. I could

0:26

not possibly name them all or all the hosts

0:29

Can you know but I know that

0:31

you know, it's been the fun house podcast for a

0:34

couple years I've been really

0:36

multiple years that it was called the fun

0:38

house. Oh, right and I have been here hosting It's

0:40

just been this year. Okay, that's what I thought year

0:42

before that, you know, there was Armando

0:45

and Charlotte and Jacob

0:48

and you know before that we

0:50

were doing it online for a while But

0:54

dude soup dude soup, but this

0:56

is the end of this For

0:59

now podcast maybe who knows now

1:05

We're gonna have a fun show

1:07

today. Okay. Well, yeah, we are just me

1:09

and Ryan it we're bringing in everyone

1:11

Yeah, okay you gave the the

1:14

lineup look really fun. I'm excited. Yeah,

1:16

it's all your co-worker, right? We

1:20

like these people you've seen them on the podcast

1:22

here and there before we've been able to pick

1:24

some of their brains throughout the year We've

1:27

done bachelor and survivor recaps with some

1:29

of them much people should get Sorry

1:32

about that But it's always

1:35

a fun time. Hell. Yeah, and

1:37

it's gonna be the funnest time This is gonna

1:39

be probably the best episode of the podcast. I

1:41

think we've been waiting We've all agreed beforehand that

1:43

we're really saving it here for the end So

1:46

whenever you come back and revisit this podcast,

1:48

please start on this episode This

1:51

is the best one. Yeah, what do you got for us

1:53

Lindsay? Well, we're gonna talk a little bit

1:55

about what I was really special about this year

1:57

So not just related to the podcast but fun

2:00

in general and some projects that we were able to

2:02

work on and fun moments, even outside

2:04

of work we could talk about that. You're telling me this

2:06

is going to be a Funhouse-themed Funhouse

2:08

podcast? Yes, I know it's crazy. I

2:11

know it's crazy. I'm saying. But,

2:14

you know, we'll talk about some of

2:16

our highlights, reflections, fun memories of

2:18

moments. And

2:21

should we just get started? Yeah, let's get into our

2:23

first guest. Okay, our first guest. I think she's a

2:25

real good get here. I can believe we got her

2:27

first. I know. She had a

2:29

very expensive rate, but I was able

2:31

to get the boss to approve that.

2:33

So, everybody, please welcome Elise Willem. Elise

2:36

Willem to the podcast. Thank you

2:38

for coming, Elise. Thank you for coming. Did you

2:40

get the milkshake? That's mine. Ryan,

2:42

did you forget the milkshake? That

2:45

was my rate. Was

2:47

one milkshake. I guess it's

2:49

half-drunk Coke. You don't want to drink.

2:51

You don't want to drink that. Hi,

2:53

Elise. Hey, guys. Welcome. I

2:55

feel like it was only yesterday I was on this

2:58

podcast. Was it?

3:00

A week ago. A week ago. But

3:03

you've been on the Funhouse podcast many times,

3:05

and you are also on Dude's Tube many

3:07

times, which neither of those

3:09

names or podcasts are coming back ever. Yeah,

3:12

I can't say that for sure. I've

3:15

produced episodes of this podcast in the past.

3:19

You know, then kind of run the game out on

3:21

this podcast. I feel like you were

3:23

the best producer of this kind of podcast because

3:25

you're so thorough and I've always said that. No,

3:28

you're an amazing producer as well.

3:31

And you do research, amazing guests

3:33

and co-hosts run. You guys have

3:35

done such a beautiful, fun job

3:38

with the podcast, especially in a

3:40

challenging year where we renamed

3:42

the podcast and

3:44

we reformatted the podcast and then

3:46

also like who's listening to podcasts

3:49

anymore because we're on the street is

3:51

Gen Z teenagers. They're just getting their news

3:53

from Twitch. I've had their game

3:55

news from TikTok. Three-minute bite-size

3:58

TikTok. Yeah. I think

4:00

you guys have done a really really fun job

4:02

together and people love your dynamic Oh

4:05

congrats on a really really good year. That's really

4:07

sweet I mean though we definitely have

4:09

a lot of fun moments But it's also like it's

4:11

a lot of work to do a podcast every week

4:13

which people don't talk about people who are podcasters Maybe

4:15

they do talk about it on some podcast, but it's

4:19

a lot of work Sometimes I feel like there's just

4:21

this expectation of we'll just sit down and shoot the

4:23

shit. Yeah, no Can't

4:26

always be like that I'm

4:30

not good at that kind of thing, but sometimes

4:32

those are fun podcast to listen to but everyone's

4:34

most times they suck It's like improv or some

4:36

it's like most suck, but some people are good

4:38

at it I mean you are the most interesting

4:41

man alive. So you've always got a fun story

4:43

to tell or something Die

4:45

you don't be modest right? We don't know

4:47

it own it own it. Okay,

4:50

I own it. I Do

4:53

like you know when there

4:55

were there's times where you've done peers on this

4:57

podcast Those have been fun or it's

5:00

like rank. You know, oh, oh Right.

5:02

Has anyone cried on this project? I did tear

5:04

up one time on this podcast and it was

5:06

when James was talking about the movie with the

5:09

dog Oh hachi. Yep. Hachiko. I

5:11

was crying a little bit during that. Yeah,

5:13

I feel like I should have cried more

5:15

on this podcast I could have got more

5:17

you have till the end of this

5:19

episode. Okay, I'll get there. I'll get

5:21

there I can do it or we start a new podcast

5:24

The she's called crux of it

5:26

is like why I cry or something and

5:28

then every episode we're trying to figure

5:30

out What makes us cry or how to cry how to cry

5:32

over something? Yeah, I don't need to figure that out

5:37

I can cry over anything but Elise. Why don't

5:39

you tell me? You

5:41

know, we're wrapping another year here at Funhouse

5:43

and I just want to know what's like

5:46

one of your favorite, you know productions or

5:49

Videos or stream or character that you got to

5:51

play you can pick your favorite out of any

5:54

of those. Oh my gosh. I Definitely

5:57

loved doing Barbie didn't do it. Yeah

6:00

with you and Charlotte, you two are

6:02

so exceptional. And

6:05

for a tabletop show, where for a lot of it, it's

6:07

just the two of you carrying it. You did such a

6:10

good job. She did a lot, she carried a lot. I

6:13

mean, it's all the rapport between the two of

6:15

you and the friendship and it shined in that.

6:17

And I really had a

6:20

fun time. I'd never GM'd something before. Really?

6:22

Yeah, so I've been in, I've played a ton

6:24

of tabletop, but I've never. I thought you were

6:26

great. Oh, thanks. But

6:28

yeah, I thought that was really fun to do. You

6:31

can listen to it now, watch it if you want. Man,

6:35

watching you guys play disc golf was

6:37

a highlight. That was such, that was my birthday too,

6:39

that we filmed that. Yeah, that's a good time. It

6:41

was such a fun thing to do on my

6:43

birthday. Like that's what I get to go to

6:45

work and do. And that was your idea too

6:48

for the video, remember? It was,

6:50

it was funny. But I was like, it's a

6:52

nice little thing for me. Yeah. There's,

6:55

I mean, man, there's too much. You step

6:57

with a bucco when Charlotte's like put on

6:59

this little hat and wheel on this tray

7:02

and you know, gosh, what

7:04

a little joyful job we have

7:06

to do all these things. Super

7:08

grateful. You know, why not?

7:10

Remember when I won the disc golf

7:12

and how awesome that part was specifically?

7:16

There's a whole video about it on the

7:18

membership. So if you go to the members

7:20

part of this YouTube channel. Ryan, when you do

7:22

things like that, where you edit

7:24

something to fudge the misrepresent. I don't know

7:27

what you're talking about. Do you really actually

7:29

feel like rewarded? I'm

7:33

very transparent about it though. You get it.

7:36

It's obvious, right? Yeah, but when actually winning, it'd

7:38

be so much more rewarding. I know there's a

7:40

plan B. If I don't win, then I gotta

7:43

have a plan B to win. You know, the

7:45

plan B is I make it look like I won. You're

7:48

like an ocean's 11. Just

7:51

kidding. The flying is bad. I don't condone it.

7:54

The plan is in funny video, manipulate my

7:56

edits. So it looks like I always win.

7:58

Right. I really did, you

8:00

know, talking

8:02

about how humble I am, the

8:05

pig video, I legitimately did

8:07

win, and I just didn't have time to edit

8:09

that part in. And you remember that. We don't

8:11

know that, though. See, that's the thing. Because we

8:13

didn't see that. Does that make you feel good,

8:15

at least, to deprive me of my

8:18

legitimate win right now? What are you talking about? Tell

8:20

everyone, you were there. That was

8:22

your time. I don't remember what happened exactly. But

8:24

if there is the footage, why isn't, why

8:26

don't we have a video coming? I

8:28

will edit it, and everyone will know. It is on

8:31

my hard drive. It's until it gets edited, no

8:33

one can confirm this information. And I'm sorry, the

8:35

proof is in the pudding, and you're always somebody

8:37

who can back up with receipts, and this is

8:39

the one time. No, I just had

8:41

that time. I'm going to. I have

8:43

the receipts, and they're coming to that. Well, he ate

8:45

all the pudding. Now,

8:47

okay, one more question for you, Elise, and

8:50

then it's time for you to go, because we got a lot of people to get

8:52

in here. What is one

8:54

thing that you're looking forward to most next year?

8:57

Creatively, like at work, you know? Or

8:59

anything in life. Oh my gosh, well, there's something that's like

9:01

directly on the horizon right now at work, but I

9:03

don't know if I can talk about it. Can I

9:05

talk about the show that? Why

9:10

not? Yeah, right, why not? Because

9:13

if it falls apart, you never heard nothing. We're

9:15

not doing it. But if we can

9:17

make it happen, and we figure it out, and you're

9:19

working on it now. Yeah, if it doesn't happen, there's

9:21

a good reason for it not happening. But we're bringing

9:23

back eye tracker, that we used to do. So

9:26

I'm working on that right now, and

9:28

man, I'm cracking myself up. You're cracking

9:30

me up. And I'm so excited for

9:32

everybody to do it, and to film

9:35

these, like, what a fun.

9:37

And also, we do

9:39

a lot of content which falls in the

9:41

bucket of play game, react to game, spit

9:43

ball on game. But this is a very

9:45

specific, we're doing something different, we're

9:48

reacting to something different. And so it just

9:50

feels like a refresh, which feels really, really

9:52

exciting. I love those last ones. And

9:55

we've talked a little bit about what else we could do outside. Yes,

9:58

yeah. Like, what other outdoor adventure. We talked

10:00

about cross-net volleyball. We talked about

10:02

regular volleyball. We talked about, I

10:05

think we talked about... Soccer baseball. Soccer

10:07

baseball, cornhole. We should probably go

10:09

to... King Kong. In the Gulf. The UK so

10:12

we can play football. That's a good

10:14

idea. We should probably get a budget to go to the

10:16

UK. Hawaii for volleyball. We

10:18

should probably go to Hawaii for

10:20

beach volleyball. And surfing,

10:22

probably. Oh, we gotta learn how to,

10:24

Ryan's gotta learn how to surf. In Hawaii. I

10:27

know how to surf. Will you win at surf

10:29

somehow? I mean, I'm still an intermediate. I'm

10:32

not great at it, but I can win. Well,

10:35

I am also looking forward to that show

10:37

being a part of it and then watching

10:39

it and watching everybody have those reactions. So

10:42

the audience should be looking forward to that. But we

10:44

have a lot of content that's coming out, I

10:46

think even before that too, so people can get really excited about

10:48

all of that stuff. I'd love to hear what you two are

10:50

excited about. I'm excited about

10:53

Napkin the Elf's Christmas games that he

10:55

came here to play. When does that

10:57

come out? On December 13th. Unless

11:00

YouTube gives us a

11:02

strike for the video. Will that already be

11:04

out by the time this podcast is out?

11:06

I have no idea. What day

11:08

is it right now in terms of the people that

11:10

are watching? I think

11:12

it's like the

11:14

7, 6, 15th? Oh, okay,

11:17

so that came out a couple days ago. I really wanna

11:19

watch it. Check it out, yeah. It's

11:21

the 14th. Oh, the day after then. Okay,

11:24

so they all watched it. Great. What

11:26

else do you like to say to the podcast,

11:29

viewers and listeners? Well, this

11:31

podcast has gone through so many

11:33

iterations, so many evolutions, different

11:36

phases, different hosts, different casts. And

11:38

I just wanna say thank you to everybody who stayed

11:41

the course no matter what it looked like,

11:43

what it sounded like. Times where

11:46

we put out bad audio

11:48

because we had some recording mishap, or

11:50

forgot to record the video, or you

11:52

know. It's

11:54

like the people who have that grace with

11:57

you and are

11:59

supportive in that. That way, those

12:01

are my favorite people in the community. It

12:05

genuinely means a lot to me that

12:07

people have stayed the course of this channel because I

12:09

think it's a good group of people to

12:12

stay the course for. So

12:14

thank you so much, and thank you guys for taking

12:16

on the mantle this year.

12:18

That was really well played away. Yeah, well

12:20

you know, because content evolves, YouTube channels evolve

12:23

over time, and some people don't stick around,

12:25

you know? I wish

12:27

I had more cooler, interesting stuff to say this, and

12:30

I've been here for whatever. I

12:33

lead a very uninteresting life. Yeah, I drew it

12:35

all. I drew it all. But yeah,

12:37

like you're saying, Ryan, maybe down the road,

12:39

maybe we'll come up with something, we'll spin

12:41

up another kind of iteration or format of

12:44

this. Because it's fun hanging with

12:46

the homies. It is. It's

12:48

the fun, like, loosest, I think,

12:50

thing that we do. I feel like sometimes,

12:52

you know, for better or worse. But

12:54

it's fun. Yeah, it's fun. Thanks, Elise.

12:57

Thanks, Elise. We appreciate you guys. We'll

13:00

give Elise a round of applause to get home. Okay,

13:04

are you ready to roll

13:06

in our next guest? Who is

13:08

it? I have no clue. It's

13:10

Dan Soder. I

13:13

mean, Omar. Why

13:17

is this? You know

13:19

what we're doing? Like, get out of the way. Did

13:23

I not update it on the calendar? Omer was hovering

13:25

and trying to steal my spot. Oh,

13:28

trying to steal your spot. Did

13:30

you change the order or something? Yeah, earlier.

13:33

What'd you say? Oh,

13:35

thank you. I did. I did change the

13:37

order. Uh-oh. Boss mainly me upset.

13:39

But it's also not correct on here either.

13:42

I thought I fixed it. Anyways. Well,

13:44

we're also doing now. They don't want to hear about all that. Shove

13:46

Omar out of the way. They don't want to hear about all

13:48

that. They want to know what is

13:50

going on in the world of Dan

13:52

Schneider. 2023, Dan. What

13:55

do you thoughts? About the year?

13:58

I don't know. We asked a bunch of questions there. Yeah, that

14:00

was a lot. Lindsey is producing this one.

14:02

Lindsey asks again. Ryan's very prepared. Well,

14:05

you know, I just, we've

14:07

been talking about how this is, yeah, he,

14:09

Ryan's got a passion for podcasts as we've

14:11

been on this podcast. Yeah,

14:13

but he's so busy with his other responsibilities.

14:15

He has no time for his passion. Everything

14:18

is also my number one passion. Always complaining about time.

14:22

At all times. So yeah, we've

14:24

been talking about how, yes, we're wrapping

14:26

up the podcast here. Good

14:28

riddance. We had a

14:30

couple other iterations of

14:32

this podcast before Ryan and I. And

14:35

so it's all coming up to

14:37

an end here. Cool. You know,

14:39

this is definitely I think the most casual spin. Well,

14:41

it's pretty casual with like Armando and them on the

14:43

couch. That was pretty casual. For

14:45

sure. But, you know, it's

14:48

a little bit less casual than when it was

14:50

in the booth with people and they were

14:52

specifically talking about games and news events. Oh

14:54

yeah. Yeah, I remember one time Lawrence had

14:56

me on the show and he was talking about some

14:58

technical thing in video games. No one had any idea

15:00

what he's fucking talking about. We were all just nodding.

15:02

Oh, yes. Ray tracing. Yeah. Well,

15:05

we always try to keep it simple here. So when

15:07

you're not going to throw some technical shit at. Yeah,

15:09

I know he's not. And

15:12

you used to host another podcast that

15:14

was on the on the channel too.

15:16

Oh yeah. What are you talking about? Yeah,

15:18

I did film health for a while. Yeah. So

15:21

we're talking about podcasting in general. Yeah. I heard

15:23

James briefly talking about how much of a grind it is. I think

15:25

when you guys kind of split it up

15:27

a little bit, at least made it a little more

15:29

tenable for a while. Yeah. Because it's like

15:31

something you can come into. I think anything you come into with

15:34

excitement, enthusiasm, because it's new. It's

15:36

new. It's even something every week for a year

15:39

is exhausting. It's very. I mean, I'll just like

15:41

steal whatever you love from it because you have

15:43

to do it constantly. Yeah. Yeah.

15:46

I don't mean that sound as down as it is because

15:48

like I'm sure you guys both started this in like was

15:51

it January when you took over? Yeah.

15:53

Yeah. It's like, oh, but then

15:55

it just becomes. I love it. We cannot

15:57

spend the whole last podcast complaining about podcasting.

16:00

No, no, no, no, no. I was

16:02

going to say though, because I wanted

16:04

to add a positive note on that that even

16:06

though like something like Filmhouse ended, a different

16:09

iteration of people

16:11

at Funhouse talking about movies came back. Sure, sure. Yeah, Filmhouse

16:14

kind of came about this year. So you never know

16:16

what, how this could do it. I'm sure there

16:18

will be a Funhouse podcast in the future at some

16:20

point. It'll come back in some way. Who

16:22

knows what that'll be? Who knows what that'll be? But

16:24

I did want to know, you know, we are at

16:27

the end of another year. So we've been asking everybody

16:29

sort of what it's like, one of your favorite moments,

16:32

either a project or a production,

16:34

a video stream, anything that

16:36

you worked on creatively this year? Well,

16:39

this year I kind of did take a

16:41

step back creatively a little bit to

16:44

more management. But

16:46

the thing, the two shows I was still producing

16:49

were Must Be Dice and Border's Hell. And I got

16:51

a lot of joy out of this, especially I think

16:54

the highlight was seeing Elise DM for like run a

16:56

game for the first time. She's like always played a

16:58

lot of these games, you know, we all know she's

17:01

funny, but I'd never seen her like run a game.

17:03

So that was really exciting. And I think

17:05

that Barbie didn't do it was really funny, really

17:07

awesome. Along

17:12

Must Be Dice lines. Yeah, the two one shots

17:14

we just did were really awesome. I don't know

17:16

if you guys have seen them yet. But Jacob's

17:18

Gundam video was really, really cool. Oh, and then,

17:20

um, and then ladies and feelings too was really

17:22

fun. So I really like the, I

17:25

guess my realm was sort of the non game

17:27

stuff that we make non game non bad podcast

17:29

stuff we like in the board as

17:31

hell had a bunch of bangers this year, especially

17:33

in ones that I was super unsure of, because like every

17:35

once in a while, like this is

17:37

exactly what I'm talking about. Like I

17:39

put it out there like I don't have the games I

17:42

have picked there too much pre-pro who has a game that

17:44

we can like describe. I brought a couple real simple ones.

17:47

He shows up for baby coat hangers. I'm like,

17:49

Oh, okay. But then, you know, of course,

17:51

Patrick makes it incredible. And he's,

17:53

you know, you're, you're like having one in the

17:56

bag. Anytime you put you in a board game

17:58

show, I know you're going to drive. That

20:00

has come from. Success of snow They like

20:02

what what makes you is it like some

20:04

having much like siblings the your arms I'm

20:06

gonna beat the shit out you didn't splint

20:09

out of business are having a lot has

20:11

been the youngest who wants a cousins and

20:13

stuff to and them old boy and up

20:15

on me and staff as soon as it's

20:17

like five three houses are fun. Part of

20:20

the game was still be like women. Take

20:22

this extra says why do far more seriously

20:24

and get our like like it's a row

20:26

and Will didn't say he's talking sit idle

20:29

good times where I know it's. Prevalence

20:31

in my brothers and Seven posts advertisers

20:33

who and we saw are you to

20:35

sit down Some Bio note another just

20:37

like it. I'm really get a Target

20:39

but I'm I bow go out and

20:41

buy your own lives. Lots of right?

20:43

Yeah, paint that thirty years so that

20:45

zero in the mirror. See I I

20:47

like those shows like Summer have a

20:49

larger creative Roland. I'm. A

20:52

we were silly middle out a really good stuff

20:54

as those lot of agree I was looking back

20:56

on the tools which has a bunch of beggars.

20:58

This year there was A.about this more than the

21:01

five minutes as soon as much as I only

21:03

your i really likes us. When. I

21:05

hope there will be more of that

21:07

seem odd movie recreation show that Charlotte's

21:09

made those a relic I think it's

21:11

really cool. I'm. It's

21:15

very of. Such a unique thing that I

21:17

mean, it's like them cinema or like Sigma

21:19

Cinema, but it's sorta like it's cel behind

21:22

the fourth wall. It's like, yeah, appalling that

21:24

back the curtain and it's. It's.

21:26

Dizzy and it's making fun of that

21:28

to and really good some now. What

21:30

is something that you I think would

21:32

be looking for to did to doing

21:34

next year? Is it like Mm Force.

21:36

Reserve. I know is live or disease

21:39

or yeah, I don't know where that sits

21:41

in and our immediate future. Just

21:44

as the are, we don't prefer more amazing a

21:46

long. Way to do a streaming events of guess.

21:48

I think that's probably it does for that. So we

21:50

made our borders whole lives to and streaming world. Doesn't

21:54

Streaming was a things like we started this year.

21:57

As like part of a a big part of a plan

21:59

that initially as like. Really annoyed by because

22:01

it takes up so much of all

22:03

of the editors. Time is a lime

22:05

But I kind of started the Love

22:07

It as like a place that we

22:09

get to try things and experiment the

22:11

plans and like torture Ryan a little

22:13

bit torture James will be announce it

22:15

became a real fun space. It it

22:17

did. I. Went from being annoyed by

22:20

to be excited about yeah. I'm

22:22

some excited to see Connor how we continue

22:24

to evolve. Streams. And

22:26

the pledge drives and over life stuff

22:28

we're doing is. I

22:31

mean that seems to be have a place where we're doing

22:33

really well and that we sent into some and I want

22:35

to see what we come up with when we try and

22:37

push it to the winners next right? Mean just

22:39

even then putting stuff together like the tracker.

22:42

Stream at all. It. Is. That it so creative. Let's say

22:44

there's so much more there that we can that

22:46

we can do to make really fun of And

22:48

said. I think the

22:50

audience will love and last that. For

22:52

sure No can feel it. Ryan's payment.

22:55

Or there when he finished Kingdom hearts a

22:57

couple the how you out and grant was

22:59

that the think it was yesterday wound still

23:01

his last week I was about. it is

23:03

some of those those yeah you want to

23:05

figure out some rivers and streams. Something

23:08

you're unhappy of it as agree

23:10

with you about. There's enough room

23:12

on the sale for both more

23:14

than one time so you come

23:16

out of that room after march

23:18

stream just like sweaty and exhaustive

23:20

and sort of a sufficient it's

23:22

been a great as it's agitated

23:24

four hours. I'm loves his i

23:26

a being on or whatever it's

23:28

exhaust phrase that he. Is. A lot

23:30

of the ah that. Is so how people

23:33

do that for their day. Says why?

23:35

Like I feel like all my suggestions are

23:37

always like yeah and will just sit around.

23:40

And will be acquired or to camera

23:42

on. Yeah, I'm glad I could stream

23:44

if there's no camera, no lights, I could

23:46

simply eight hour. The. Like

23:49

the sound was movie for eight hours of seats.

23:52

Movies like playing a game and just talking. Okay,

23:54

do that for a long time. I do that

23:56

every night. So Cayman Islands more

23:58

than yourself. Wonder

24:00

second my friends is that could

24:02

say wanted wiener. Eight

24:05

hours or girl's mouth wanted wiener. It's

24:08

a Wiener Schnitzel cup. Okra, Ah,

24:10

we were hulu. A day would

24:13

say cameos am Anyway, my Stan.

24:15

Anything else you'd like to say?

24:17

and above all about Funhouse? Oh

24:20

has the final episode, so say

24:22

whatever. You. Like a man or guess as.

24:26

A last Chance I'm

24:28

I love Funhouse! Arrows

24:30

are things on the john. much of a

24:32

given bum bum bum else have given fun

24:35

of my thirties so if you're you're for

24:37

like a lot into it right? Stand near

24:39

me me cry so I'm just like. His

24:42

agitated as everyone makes me to like I'm in

24:45

charge of certain things and you know people are

24:47

hard to hard to work with sometimes but I'm

24:49

just is so. Impressive.

24:51

Like we have this extremely talented group of

24:53

people. The but like I'm always like surprised

24:56

by are like excited by the thing they

24:58

make like really always excited to see like

25:00

a Ryan at it when I know he's

25:02

like. Passing. The balconies at the

25:04

actually dates worked on it. Or can we

25:06

do see the suit like. We.

25:08

Have a super talented group in seeing

25:10

as pivot so hard for like the

25:12

adversity of the year and like setting

25:14

up all these different recordings aces and

25:16

just kind of constantly getting fertile thrown

25:19

in front of us. and like. Being.

25:21

Exhausted by that but seeing as

25:24

like persevere and continues succeed and

25:26

like. Creed. New avenues for

25:28

that You cream streams, cream the

25:30

pledges. Having these tears in like

25:32

leaning into the community underscored much

25:34

to seeing the group. Constantly

25:36

Evolve is really really cool and like

25:38

a know. I've been here for almost

25:41

eight years I think and like honestly

25:43

think this is like the most powerful,

25:45

the most creatively strong the teams ever

25:47

been. Like Ice I think we make

25:49

stuff is better than one else has

25:51

ever made stuff and it's I'm more

25:53

excited by the work and more happy

25:55

about that work environment. So I think

25:57

it's really cool that this whole thing.

26:00

The bald into. A. Better

26:02

thing over time, even though we constantly did.

26:04

You him, Sit. Thrown at us this or to

26:06

deal with. Like just know that

26:08

I need some no new youtube stuff. Can.

26:10

Cause problems in January our around

26:13

and it's just. it's cool to

26:15

see a talented group of people.

26:18

Constantly. Get over those

26:20

versus and it's It's fun to

26:22

be able to rely on. Like.

26:24

A team of people to be credence to

26:26

gather my come up with stuff and a

26:28

does things really cool. Or you. Can

26:31

thank you for saying her. I mean. Why

26:34

Five one has any? I'd rather than when

26:36

I've I've been high fived earlier. You. Are

26:39

a man I'd Human Voice and one Diana

26:41

deserves leave for saving. Seventy on else and

26:43

and a game that I've been working on

26:45

Save It will finally be done and December

26:47

seem like a Christmas present or I have

26:50

a couple weeks it'll be a Pdf for

26:52

that Is that something you're into? Keep your

26:54

was on our read it is. People are

26:56

on twitter on anymore I don't know but

26:58

still be around their open it up if

27:00

that's something to fight interview your but I

27:02

who's next on of you. Are

27:05

I everybody's. Please.

27:07

Let them. Chance. Miss Don

27:09

Smith wrote last forever He

27:11

was done fine, just fine.

27:14

How are you doing? All

27:16

right? I brought my new

27:18

picture frame thera my desk.

27:20

Ah was. A

27:22

Gentleman hair or is what Bill series

27:25

knives and Will rule I saw everyone's

27:27

are in this event and I was

27:29

so excited about that. I'll say we

27:31

can't fly bones out so I thought

27:33

I seats are him in our into

27:36

the your purchase. Now Barnes is

27:38

another member of Funhouse. He doesn't work

27:40

here with us in the office. He

27:42

you know. Through I saw the descriptions. I

27:44

saw that services as all the title does

27:46

a lot of back and staff. Ah and

27:49

he's a true hero of like the you

27:51

too bland say as on and he was

27:53

in his ah attempts at Rbc that was

27:55

once Yeah, it was really Gates and John

27:57

Smith. Hurry up. To.

27:59

Say. What? Do you

28:01

want to know? You're at a. Store

28:04

and businesses as as as a person, Who

28:07

you know where to find out? The end

28:09

of the pie cast here is had a

28:11

lot of lives in this is the ninth

28:13

and stalwart killing and but we should talk

28:15

about what is one of your favorite. Projects

28:18

that you are to work on this year

28:21

like a character or video or stream endowment

28:23

that you thought creatively this was the best.

28:26

I really love our time

28:28

with Jeopardy! Objects That

28:30

game was amazing and it was

28:32

such a fuss. Was originally sponsored

28:35

thing during quarantine. Long time? Yeah

28:37

yeah long time ago. So.

28:39

Teams and I played. It emerged as laughing our ass

28:41

off her like we don't even know if they're gonna.

28:44

Want us use this because the whole

28:46

videos just be up breaking. Ah,

28:49

But then they still paid us and we really

28:51

severe and so a few years later of like

28:53

when you get back to next that was so

28:55

fucking funny and then he was awesome and. I.

28:57

Think we lucked out in doing it

29:00

because forever on the doesn't know. They.

29:02

Shut bad service down? Yeah. like like

29:04

not even like they don't sell the

29:06

game anymore. Like. The. Service that

29:08

required the text to speech doesn't

29:10

is an online anymore so. We.

29:13

Just can't play that game ever again. So the fact

29:15

that we were able to. Get a couple

29:17

episodes in this year before it went away forever.

29:19

I'm I'm really grateful for that. Yeah.

29:22

And I think the you know we're we're looking for

29:24

a sort of the other ways to play a game

29:26

like that or even other games that are like that

29:28

that has sort of the what I need and. By.

29:31

It seems like it was putting. Without such

29:33

an offer, we actually we have a

29:35

wheel of fortune z are coming out.

29:37

it might actually already be out or

29:39

know when this is absurd drug overdoses

29:41

because we're working on all the various

29:43

linux like three months right now. So.

29:46

We're trying to get a little bit ahead you

29:48

know, with holidays coming up and I. I

29:51

guess two months we're we're currently working

29:53

towards. Financing. Everything to have

29:55

with the July. Yeah, that's true, Assume.

30:00

What are some things? Are you? You would

30:02

be looking forward to doing next year's or anything you

30:04

want to do creatively. Is there anything you want to

30:06

do here? You know, a funhouse, Ah

30:08

yeah, Find a new

30:10

Jeopardy Yeah. Find any

30:12

Jeopardy roses. get back

30:14

into. Ah, The.

30:17

Rhythm. You know? Ah,

30:20

it's been a chaotic

30:22

year. For. All of us.

30:25

Ah, And yeah, this

30:27

I'm just looking for. Maybe some

30:29

more stability. Accept This is a

30:31

size. India as he everybody my share

30:33

that sentiment haired. Yeah, yeah, was. Are

30:35

you not looking forward to what we're

30:38

doing in February of Monsieur? I'm very

30:40

much looking forward to that. Is eileen

30:42

thing or something? Public partially is

30:44

is related is we're just. As

30:47

we did, Cydia two nights of Women

30:50

Del Mar calif of wouldn't out

30:52

of room the audience and noodles.

30:57

Ah well as or anything that you'd

31:00

like to talk about on this last

31:02

episode of the podcast. Did. You

31:04

Use ousted him produced a couple

31:06

of these episodes and Dude Superior

31:08

Sin A Even as a fine,

31:10

how funny maybe Adam. Yeah.

31:13

Did you find out it was a lot of work to

31:15

put one of these together? Now. So

31:17

as easy as pie I would

31:19

literally probably about forty five minutes

31:21

before we started out as google

31:23

current events and fun stuff from.

31:26

Fear I may think it's it's However,

31:28

you have to see Godzilla with me

31:30

somewhat tonight. I'm so fucking stoked You

31:32

have no idea and we do with

31:34

what. I'm trying not to

31:36

get my hopes up on. There are mild sort

31:39

of oblige mothers who said for movie about which

31:41

movie godzilla odds Oh and I'm out my the

31:43

small I won't spoil anything for you then are

31:45

you saw it? Know. Sort. Of

31:47

bits. On. Out here businesses,

31:50

Ah I google current events per

31:52

job suggestions as China World. As

31:56

exactly. What are your thoughts on that? Ah,

31:59

I mean. Third, weeping and sensors.

32:03

Magnets, On thanks much

32:05

John for tone by on earth

32:07

and for bringing bone. Ovaries removed.

32:09

And. You know I'm

32:11

I'm excited that we're going as

32:13

continue to make fun stuff night

32:16

after. A. Month since August

32:18

cancel them and before the parker

32:20

there's in which case. And see

32:22

wizard. Thanks. For whom are

32:24

right they have a good when your are you.

32:26

33:13

of us and a part of every episode

33:15

because of during the audio c or or silence.

33:17

As the Audi. I mostly just by where the

33:19

way for Zarrella has to. Be

33:21

some. Drop a line and

33:23

he added the noise or dogs and

33:26

I do some compressing, some some hard

33:28

limiting. Yeah, Me: Juri listening.

33:30

She has to did someone just far. Does

33:34

somebody says that happened with the Sound Bitter?

33:36

We every single for couple. Then. Why would she

33:38

34:00

more you. Know.

34:04

You were moving. On to say that we

34:06

didn't have some great fun moments. the we

34:08

had a show and tell episode that Ryan

34:10

put together Hammer That. Forgot about

34:12

how oh that was a good time was

34:15

a far more the time he says as.

34:18

A few. You borrowing I ended

34:20

up as. As Mom's Home and and

34:22

you just proceeded to point out how

34:24

the lyrics I had written on line

34:26

to share were different from the lyrics

34:28

in a song and then you were

34:30

making jokes off the lyrics and I'm

34:32

like. Yeah, yeah, I guess I

34:34

did. I do. I put the lot wrong. Words

34:37

are there and you're like. Interesting.

34:41

Or guy. Oliver Rind had

34:43

some illegal acts as he is like signing, have listening

34:45

but sign it is trying to get through his own.

34:47

Leisure Fl. I gotcha journalism but

34:49

but but done by like someone

34:51

35:02

looking back at Twenty Twenty Three to that's another

35:04

thing we're doing on the special very as final

35:06

episode of the podcast with one of the or

35:09

favorite things effect work on this year. On

35:11

creatively upon how thorough mean otherwise as it's

35:13

like fuck. That I would talk about Mom's

35:15

Home I make Money for Your lyrics. Thank

35:19

35:31

35:42

35:44

35:48

36:25

in the middle of the Cowboys' game that

36:27

36:29

it looks like someone would have risen out

36:31

and performed on top of this and I

36:33

know if there is a malfunction or of

36:35

36:41

lovely she was the on and says he stood in front of

36:43

36:45

36:47

on the set that was clearly not

36:49

made as a handrail like otherwise that

36:52

could have had. Set. Dressing a

36:54

clear that some thoughts about the such as

36:56

him out of loud for Dolly Parton. To.

36:58

Be that old and were those heels and still

37:00

have like some support or or like. It

37:03

when anything else you do an illegal barbie

37:06

37:08

37:10

strange. and I think our service. By.

37:12

Do a lot better job is standing up. I

37:15

don't get why it's like who's thing about I

37:17

37:34

sites in the middle of the air as

37:36

tore their should have been as a scrimmage.

37:39

And. I'm to Nfl is that seems. Make it to

37:41

this role as a conflict of interest? Yeah, Sorry

37:43

37:45

37:47

43:21

43:23

milling named Moran. On

43:26

the Omar thing for joining us in

43:28

their discussion say we're having everybody here

43:30

and a funhouse team through to talk

43:32

about some of our favorite moments from

43:34

Twenty Three, Some how we feel that

43:36

the podcast on the way even though

43:38

what do you know Pike as not

43:41

this podcast the So Movie podcasts and

43:43

talking about Morneau says that where are

43:45

you know looking forward to it in

43:47

the New Year. So what? it's like

43:49

one of your favorite. Moments.

43:52

Such moments in this year. And for next

43:54

year think. Creatively or a project

43:56

or stream. Some. Omega

43:59

specific wanna. I think my whole thing is

44:01

just. We're. We did

44:03

fucking everything this year. Suffer this.

44:05

we did so much stuff and

44:07

everyone kick their ass for tickets

44:10

ever would take. Dass Es did

44:12

did super good getting us through.

44:14

This year we started streaming like

44:16

crazy. Those our super fun done

44:18

very well for us. That's crazy,

44:20

that's not. That's all. Pretty much knew this

44:23

area. I mean during little that

44:25

nothing from last year is a

44:27

thing anymore. As with streaming this

44:29

year going crazy Memberships as you're

44:31

going crazy. we started putting out

44:33

a more special things special videos

44:36

The Stars: people work in their

44:38

ass off getting all that stuff

44:40

done. I think this most

44:42

everything The seer his the the team.

44:45

That. Doing all this herself leads

44:47

ritual more. Well worth the work. I

44:49

quit doing this stuff. Like

44:51

that so we can have more room to

44:53

do other that. Other. Podcast ideas other parties

44:56

will come through. And like I was

44:58

saying earlier, there's another you know podcast that

45:00

Funhouse is producing enough. the test for trust

45:02

podcasts. As precise as cool. That's a

45:04

cool thing. The start of this year

45:06

name's Patrick Cell. And and James your

45:08

comments and maybe there's other nice topics

45:10

are fun little sort of groupings that

45:12

we can maybe produce possess a typical

45:14

his sort of a one off. Or

45:17

here's a little limited limited run podcast

45:19

Years I'll be great. right?

45:21

Past About Podcast. Us as like that.

45:24

oh really I am more surprises me when I

45:26

have found the make them or think about the

45:28

girl when you have time to make them look

45:30

as good as. A

45:33

thirty of the he would be good at it. when you have

45:35

time to do it. During

45:40

a little bit loopy because of podcast getting

45:42

dell little bit longer than our normal times

45:44

faster. And were thirty five minutes

45:47

behind it. She's already. Oh

45:49

are we just wanted to make sure that

45:51

everybody got to come on here And and

45:54

you how little mommy on the last podcast.

45:56

Now I feel like I'm a fool. that

45:58

special for the listeners and. The years And

46:00

and the last one. so. I mean it

46:02

it. I mean just since the last one of

46:04

this podcast the photos out just in this aeration

46:07

which is the. Fourth,

46:09

Third, Version. Out a later

46:11

time of have on our own or at least

46:13

three right February for a means of the don't

46:15

come around like this. Don't

46:18

earn. Never say never Certain was right.

46:20

Never say never assist. You know if we probably

46:22

won't be doing this, Police I will be here

46:25

doing this for a while. Using

46:27

it on. Welcome

46:30

to the Lindsay and Omar The Idea: Of

46:33

legacy that. Oh,

46:35

is there anything that you're looking forward to

46:38

next year for? For. Next.

46:41

Year. I

46:43

mean it is. Yes, I'm looking forward

46:45

to like a having. Space.

46:48

To do fun things again? Yeah, so

46:50

like. Building. Into our plan

46:52

because we've been. You know we've been running

46:54

pretty hard for a while. It does he

46:56

like we've been renting. We've been sprinting for

46:58

a long time I'm but I do hope

47:01

that next year we can find the space

47:03

to do like the bigger weird or of

47:05

fun things that people have on their brains.

47:07

Yeah, no rise gonna blow dumb ideas I'm

47:09

sure you've got us awesome ideas. This year

47:11

we had in love with all Good. No

47:13

worries a you have to show that was

47:16

going that was extra on top everything else.

47:18

I'll how the salaries are so sometimes. I

47:20

feel like I don't remember basically what happened

47:22

January through July because. They are our

47:24

library. Was. Honestly, Don't.

47:26

Do we are halfway through it when it

47:28

started? when? A: When this comes up? A

47:31

we're halfway through December of this year already

47:33

in. We. Moved in his office.

47:36

Just. Over a year ago, he feels

47:38

like. Like. Feels like know

47:40

if you like her it feels like forever ago.

47:43

But also I remember vividly what was going. Those

47:45

who feels like yesterday. Yeah I'm are walking

47:47

through this phase touring it on the phone

47:49

you because you can make it. Yeah I'm

47:51

trying to like like and then look at

47:53

this and it's and you're like this and

47:55

I'm like oh sees me but I remember

47:57

that like that was just straight. Hours. It's

48:00

crazy. This year has flown by and there's so

48:02

much stuff that we want to do that we

48:04

just couldn't because

48:06

we didn't have the time. That's the thing.

48:09

I'm looking forward to making sure that

48:11

stuff happens. Finding the time. Yeah.

48:14

And you know, stuff like this where we're

48:16

sort of going to say goodbye to this

48:18

podcast, like you're saying, for a while, maybe

48:20

not forever. But like, I think that gives

48:23

time back to Ryan and I to really put in some

48:25

other stuff to be a part

48:27

of other stuff. Now you're,

48:29

now you're on it. Yeah.

48:32

Yeah. No excuses anymore. No

48:34

fucking podcast holding you back.

48:36

There you go. Um,

48:38

is there anything else you'd like to

48:40

tell everybody who's listening or watching the

48:42

last episode? Anything else that you know

48:44

you'd like to add? Uh,

48:47

thank you, I guess. That's

48:52

always nice. Thank you for, uh, for, for

48:54

all, especially all the, like, all the people

48:56

who are doing, you know, patrons

48:58

of our stuff, all the members, all the

49:00

people who are in the live streams, keeping

49:03

that stuff going super rad.

49:05

Yeah. It has, it has been like fulfilling

49:09

to see that kind of

49:11

feedback going for sure. Cause it's really hard to

49:13

do it without that feedback. That's very clear feedback

49:15

of, Hey, we like this and we want to

49:17

keep seeing it. Ryan,

49:19

do you have anything to add? Do you got anything to ask your boss? No,

49:23

I thought you, that was very, um, you

49:25

know, uh, uh, we already, did you already

49:27

say your favorite video that we put out

49:29

this year? My favorite video. I'm not going

49:31

to be able to think

49:36

of one right now off the top of my head. I feel like

49:38

there were so many good, crazy things. Yeah. There

49:40

was a lot of, I feel like, and there's so many

49:43

videos, there's so many videos. I'm

49:45

not going to be able to think of one, but I'm going

49:47

to think of like the, there's a couple of like really awesome

49:49

stream times. I get to engage

49:52

more with streams personally, just like

49:54

being there and stuff, because it's like, I can pop

49:56

in, pop out, you know, things are busy for me

49:58

during the day. So I don't. get to like

50:00

do a bunch of stuff also like I'm not on

50:02

a lot of videos I'm not I'm not that kind

50:06

of I mean yeah demo wheels crazy like

50:08

I don't get to do a lot of

50:11

I I choose not to participate in a

50:13

lot of videos because that's not the kind of thing

50:15

I feel like I offer strength that's not my strength to offer

50:17

to the all the kind of work you want to focus on

50:19

really well I'm it's just I don't think I got a lot

50:21

to offer there I give you a nicer

50:23

way to say yeah but you know like the

50:29

streams are fun to pop in on it's super

50:31

fun to see that like real-time feedback from people

50:33

that they're super stoked on what we're doing the

50:36

trucking stuff has been awesome just like that's

50:38

like a recent example every time we have

50:41

guests come through and do stuff that's super cool yeah

50:43

yeah there's been way too

50:46

many to highlight this specific thing I

50:48

think you're a funny foil straight

50:51

man you

50:53

as the boss figure of the grand

50:57

show that is funhouse it

50:59

is really funny when I watch like an old video and there's a

51:02

joke about you and then it cuts to you like it's

51:07

really I wish that was on purpose I

51:09

like my favorite

51:13

thing you've done this year is you

51:15

got an Alamo draft house pass

51:18

so that now you come to me and you say

51:20

that you've actually seen movies I've been talking movies I've

51:22

been talking to Ryan I love it Ryan

51:25

was like the most out there I had to find a

51:27

way to connect with him well thank

51:35

you so much for coming by spend some

51:37

time here to chat with us and

51:40

yeah now

51:42

51:51

everything cool all right everybody

51:56

okay we're gonna take a

51:58

quick break so we can hear a word from this

52:00

week's sponsors. Happy holidays.

52:02

It's the season of giving, but

52:04

you've already given enough to your

52:06

internet service provider if you haven't

52:09

been using ExpressVPN. Every time

52:11

you've gone online this year. And

52:13

I'm not just talking about the enormous

52:15

internet bill you pay every month. Every

52:17

time you go online without ExpressVPN, your

52:20

provider can see and log every single

52:22

website that you visit, and they can

52:24

sell your browsing activity to third party

52:26

advertisers for huge profits. That's why I'm

52:29

done giving to my internet service provider.

52:31

I always go online with ExpressVPN. The

52:33

app encrypts and reroutes 100% of

52:36

my network data through their secure servers. So

52:38

my provider can't say a thing. It

52:41

couldn't be easier to use. Simply fire

52:43

up ExpressVPN on any of your devices,

52:45

phone, laptop, whatever, tap one button to

52:47

connect, and that's it. I've got ExpressVPN

52:50

cooked up to everything. My computer, my

52:52

router, my phone. I

52:54

just need to know that I am

52:56

safe on the internet. You've given enough

52:59

to your ISP this year. It's time

53:01

for you to start taking. So take

53:03

back your internet privacy today with the

53:06

VPN-ridden number one by tech radar and

53:18

you remember your

53:20

first holiday ever?

53:23

Probably not, but I bet your parents do. And

53:26

they have pictures to prove it. Probably a lot

53:28

of pictures to prove it. But even if they

53:30

have one or two on the wall, there's a

53:32

ton that they haven't seen in years. You can

53:34

put all those amazing childhood Christmas photos in a

53:36

place where your parents can actually see them. An

53:38

Aura digital frame. Aura was

53:40

named the number one digital frame by Wirecutter, the

53:43

strategist, and Wired. And it doesn't even have to

53:45

be just your pictures. In the app, you can

53:47

add other members so your siblings and cousins and

53:49

friends can all upload their own photos too. There's

53:52

unlimited storage so you don't even have to fight

53:54

over it. And your loved ones can swipe the

53:56

top of the frame to get past all the

53:58

photos of everyone else. to get to the

54:00

solo shots of you, as I'm sure

54:03

they'll want to do. I have an Aura frame, I

54:05

love it. I'm giving one to my mom for Christmas,

54:07

and I'm loaning up with all the pictures of my

54:09

dog and me. And you know what? Maybe I won't

54:11

even share it with my siblings, because then it's just

54:13

pictures of me. Visit auraframes.com

54:29

do you call a person who

54:31

speaks three languages? Bilingual.

54:34

What do you call a person who speaks two languages? Bilingual.

54:37

What do you call a person who speaks one

54:39

language? American. Only 22%

54:42

of Americans speak a language other than

54:44

English at home, but this winter you

54:46

can be the exception, not the rule,

54:48

because with Babbel, you start speaking a

54:50

new language in just three weeks. Babbel's

54:53

designed by real people for real conversations.

54:55

All of the tips and tools for

54:57

learning a new language are rooted in

54:59

real-life situations and delivered with conversation-based teaching.

55:01

I've been using Babbel to learn Spanish.

55:04

I love how convenient and easy it

55:06

is to use to learn sort of

55:08

real-life conversation skills. It's so easy to

55:10

pick up on how to order food

55:13

or speak to merchants,

55:15

ask for directions, all without having

55:17

to consult the language app. Love

55:41

Welcome back. And

55:43

we have more people from Funhaus

55:45

coming to chat with us today.

55:47

Are you ready? What? Too

55:50

many people here. Okay, up

55:52

next. He's probably been the number

55:54

one guest on this iteration of

55:56

the podcast. You

55:58

know who's coming over? No, it's

56:01

Jacob! Oh! Well,

56:04

Rick's usually in the voiceover thing. Okay, yeah, yeah,

56:06

yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah! Clap, clap, clap for

56:08

me! Clap for

56:10

me! Hey, friends, it's been

56:13

a while. We haven't busted in a

56:15

while. We haven't busted in

56:17

a while. We haven't busted in a while.

56:20

We haven't synced in a while. So,

56:22

I do want to say we are going

56:24

to do a very, very brief bust of

56:27

the Plinkett. We have to be the entire Jacob segment.

56:29

We have to bust the rest of the Golden Bachelor.

56:32

What the fuck is all about? I

56:34

also wanted to say, were you singing Creed when he sat down? No.

56:36

Oh. Okay,

56:38

he's lying. I saw the clip, and

56:41

I know your secret. My secret? That's my secret.

56:44

It's the secret that Creed is his number

56:46

one song this year. We talked about

56:48

that on the stream yesterday. Well, now we're

56:50

talking about it on the podcast. What's my secret? That

56:54

was your secret. You should

56:56

want to hide that is what she's implying. Everybody

56:58

knows that. Everybody knows that.

57:02

I saw it on your stream post. I'm

57:04

going to hide that clip. This

57:06

is it for the Funhouse podcast. It's

57:08

the last episode. Wow. What's

57:12

the bust, baby? Can you

57:14

believe that he fucking went with her? Theresa? Theresa.

57:18

That was a surprise. And

57:20

who was the person right before that? The third person. There

57:24

was Faith, and then Faith was the

57:26

rapport, and then there was somebody else

57:28

who was in the space. I did not expect number

57:30

three. Was

57:32

Leslie the motorcycle person? No, that was

57:35

Faith. Leslie was like a

57:37

dancer. Right. Faith, I think... I

57:40

thought Faith was going to be the finalist with Leslie, and

57:42

then it turned out that... Who was the third one? It

57:46

was Faith. And then

57:48

Faith gets out, and I'm like, oh wow, big

57:50

fucking... That was crazy. I did not expect

57:52

Theresa at all. Obviously they misled

57:54

us in the editing, those fucking... Well, I've read a

57:56

lot about it. I go, okay,

57:58

well... Well, uh,

58:02

she's got money. She got

58:04

money. I didn't know that was a part of it. She's

58:06

like, uh, yeah, yeah, yeah. safety security. She's

58:08

been in a relationship. They have all sorts

58:10

of common commonality. Like yes,

58:13

like the hit their relationship history where

58:15

Leslie is this free spirit and she's

58:17

a wild card and she has explicitly

58:19

said, Oh, I have turbulence in my

58:22

relationships. And it's like, if

58:24

you kind of have an, if you kind of have two

58:26

women and you're like, I really like both of them. This

58:29

one is offer security

58:31

and, uh, comfort. And

58:33

we have these things in common. This one is like,

58:35

okay, you know, these, these other

58:37

aspects, even with that being said,

58:39

it's like, that doesn't excuse Gary,

58:41

uh, misleading or so bad. He

58:44

was clearly some conversations and you know

58:46

what? I think it was maybe like pill

58:48

talk type thing. It was a rough break

58:50

up motherfucker. Yeah. Yeah. I

58:52

kind of like for saw some of this because he

58:55

was throughout the show, Hannah now

58:57

roses left and right. We're just like

58:59

candy. Yeah. He's like, you look kind of

59:01

sad. I'm going to give you a rose. Yeah. His

59:03

voice is so funny. Sounds like

59:06

it is what he sounds like. Now there has been

59:08

some stuff that came out after the fact a little

59:10

bit about the fact that

59:13

I thought that Hollywood reporter article was fucking

59:15

gross. I didn't read the article. I just

59:17

read snippets and it

59:19

was, it's like, yeah, whatever he had, he dated somebody

59:22

for a little bit. It's like not a huge.

59:24

And then the fact that what it is, he had,

59:26

you know, he's supposed to look at it and he's

59:28

supposedly a retired restaurant here, but really his restaurant ended

59:30

in like the eighties and he's been a handyman forever.

59:33

Who gives a fuck? Oh, well that's up. Yeah. You

59:36

know, it's like supposed to be like a

59:38

big expose. He was that, oh,

59:40

he lied and he has dated somebody and not

59:42

only did he date somebody, but they moved in

59:44

with him. And then there's a

59:47

bunch of snippets that are, I

59:49

think here's a mostly just like she, this

59:51

woman said that these things happened. So

59:54

you never know whether it's true or not, but basically it

59:56

was like, oh, and he called me and he said, I

59:58

couldn't go to this thing with him. them and he

1:00:00

asked me for money and he used to

1:00:02

make me give him money

1:00:04

before we would go out to eat so that way

1:00:06

he would look like he was paying the bill. So

1:00:08

it's like this kind of stuff. Right, I mean

1:00:11

look, it was very imperfect. Even

1:00:13

all those things though in the article, it was all just

1:00:15

kind of yeah, like to me, not

1:00:17

petty but just like things that are in

1:00:20

a relationship that are probably dealing

1:00:22

with. And it's like what did you do? Sometimes

1:00:25

I go, what did you do? Without

1:00:27

even getting into that, it just to me the whole article didn't

1:00:29

really even rise to the

1:00:31

level. It just was like, they made it seem

1:00:34

like a big expo, so yeah, it was just

1:00:36

nothing. Yeah, it sounds like something from like high

1:00:38

school. Yeah, it was just trying to get dirt

1:00:40

on Gary. Yeah, whatever. You can't dirty Gary. They're

1:00:43

golden boy. In the end,

1:00:45

he's gonna live happily ever after they're going to Italy

1:00:48

or whatever. So we're happy for Theresa and Gary.

1:00:50

Yeah, whatever. Who cares? It was

1:00:52

a fun show to watch. I need to

1:00:54

see Ellen as the golden

1:00:56

bachelorette. That's who I want to see. Ellen

1:00:58

DeGeneres? No. Ellen the woman

1:01:00

from the show. I want to watch more season. I think I

1:01:04

need a reality show watching these

1:01:06

women. They

1:01:11

were great. They were great. Them all

1:01:13

together in a small house together, not small. How awesome.

1:01:16

Yeah, Susan, did you see that clip of her farting all

1:01:18

over the mansion? Oh, which one? They're

1:01:20

all farting all over the mansion. Who was the lid

1:01:22

in the show? I would too. The woman who did

1:01:24

the long fart. What was her name again? That was Susan.

1:01:27

No, it wasn't. It wasn't?

1:01:29

Well, Susan was farting, but

1:01:32

it was the... It was the guacamole she was

1:01:34

blaming it on. Well, she was farting every... They're in

1:01:36

the bloopers. They're in the blooper reel, they're in the

1:01:38

tell-all. The woman that she's like, give me one sec.

1:01:43

Oh yeah. All right, anyways. Oh, um...

1:01:46

She has a big hair. Not Natasha. I

1:01:49

don't remember. It was a good fart. It

1:01:51

was solid. It was solid farts. Sandra. Sandra.

1:01:55

It was Sandra, yeah. She's great. She ripped

1:01:57

like this. Oh yeah, yeah. It had

1:01:59

Jesse's face. to happen and he was just like... It

1:02:01

was so good. She's the one

1:02:03

that left for her or she didn't go to her daughter's wedding.

1:02:05

Daughter's wedding. Right. Yeah. I

1:02:08

was like, what? I'm like, maybe the third wedding. I

1:02:10

don't know. Yeah. Wow.

1:02:13

This whole podcast turned me into this reality person. Yeah.

1:02:16

I'm just here to talk about reality. Yeah.

1:02:19

How have you felt over this year

1:02:21

on the Funhouse Podcast? You've sort of watched

1:02:23

a lot of reality. I've

1:02:25

been around for Funhouse Podcast

1:02:28

for years and years and years. I still

1:02:30

remember my first one. I talked about Titanfall

1:02:32

2. Oh. I was on

1:02:34

just to talk about Titanfall 2. We won't be talking about

1:02:36

any of that. And here I am talking about Golden

1:02:39

Bachelor. Farts. Yeah. Golden

1:02:42

Bachelor. Farts. You know,

1:02:44

I think the first time I was ever on

1:02:46

the channel at all was during a dude's suit

1:02:48

when they came to get my Game of Thrones

1:02:51

finale take. Oh. Yeah.

1:02:54

I don't even remember what it was. I'm like, what year

1:02:56

was that? Wasn't that not until 2019? Was it a long time?

1:02:59

Was that your first time? Oh, yeah. That

1:03:01

was like four years ago. Right.

1:03:05

That's bonkers. Well, there will be no more

1:03:07

busting, but maybe we'll do like social for busting

1:03:09

for Bachelorette for Ben. What's his name? Oh.

1:03:12

Dave? Joey. Joey.

1:03:15

Yeah. He

1:03:18

was your pick when we did our thing. So maybe we'll

1:03:20

have to do some social, like Instagram lives or something where

1:03:22

we can do that. Bussing for Bachelorette

1:03:24

live. Or we like just we do a game

1:03:26

play. We're playing like, I don't know, uh,

1:03:30

GTA or something, but we'll just talk about

1:03:32

Bachelorette the whole time. I

1:03:34

love it. I love it. We'll just trick

1:03:36

whoever, whatever fourth person's there into playing GTA. So

1:03:38

we could talk about bachelor. I love it. And

1:03:41

real quick, before you go, you know, we

1:03:43

have obviously before Bussing for Bachelorette, we were

1:03:45

something for survivor. That's true. Jacob.

1:03:48

Well, since I just finished golden bachelor and bachelor

1:03:50

in paradise just by the end, I'm

1:03:52

going to be simping for survivor after. Oh, you're going

1:03:55

to binge up till. Yeah. Okay. You

1:03:57

got a lot of episodes. Oh,

1:04:00

that's not that bad. They're longer now. They're an

1:04:02

hour and a half apiece. It's seven movies.

1:04:04

That's easy. Oh, God. That's so much.

1:04:07

I know. To be honest, I mean, I, you

1:04:09

know, I love Survivor. I would say the 90-minute

1:04:11

format is great most of the time.

1:04:14

Sometimes I'm just kind of like, this does not need

1:04:16

to be 90 minutes. This is too long. I'll get

1:04:18

through it. You need to be an hour. Cut the

1:04:20

flux. I can't wait

1:04:22

to start simping and busting again. Hell

1:04:24

yeah. It's going to be great. 2024,

1:04:27

lots of simping and busting. Hell yeah. Now,

1:04:29

we did have to talk to you most

1:04:32

of this time about busting and simping. Of

1:04:34

course. I have 30 seconds left for the

1:04:36

remaining of the day. Of course. If you

1:04:38

have anything that you'd like to say about this year

1:04:40

at Funhouse, what was like one of your favorite moments?

1:04:43

Oh, this year? I've had a

1:04:46

great time doing the live streams.

1:04:48

Yeah. Jacob has had a

1:04:50

large role in making sure all those

1:04:52

streams are running smoothly twice a week for

1:04:54

the last 50 weeks.

1:04:57

Like they're super fun. Like we all get to just

1:04:59

like kind of just hang

1:05:01

out and have fun and stuff. Like the trucker

1:05:03

stuff has been really fun unexpectedly. Yeah. The

1:05:06

Elden Ring, like it's all been super fun. Elden

1:05:08

Moa is. It's been a different dynamic to be

1:05:10

able to explore with everybody that we all work

1:05:12

with. Different groupings of people. Yeah. It's

1:05:15

really nice. It's like we're in this room for four hours and we're

1:05:17

just talking and playing games and having a great time. And the audience

1:05:19

seems to like that a lot too. Yeah. That's

1:05:21

been a highlight for me for sure. So are you looking

1:05:23

forward to more of that next year? Oh, 100%. Yeah.

1:05:27

Oh, Jacob's got big ideas. We're all cooking up in

1:05:29

here. But

1:05:32

I'm already excited for next week's stream. Like

1:05:34

that's going to be a lot of fun. That's

1:05:36

true. Technically it will be this week because.

1:05:39

Oh yeah. Yeah. So whatever. We

1:05:42

played Lethal Company and it was fun. That was. Yeah.

1:05:45

It was so fun. So fun. Like, can

1:05:47

we play? Do you have anything else you'd

1:05:49

like to say on this final finale? Thanks

1:05:52

for watching the Fun House podcast for all

1:05:54

these years. It's been super fun. And

1:05:56

this iteration especially has been warm and fuzzy.

1:06:00

Thank you, Jacob. I appreciate it. Go watch The

1:06:02

Star Boys. I gotta go work on more Star

1:06:04

Boys right now. Well,

1:06:06

hi, five. You both can't wait to bus. Can't wait to

1:06:08

simp some more. I will see

1:06:10

you next time. Not really, because there's

1:06:12

no more. Bye, Jacob,

1:06:15

for the last time. Jacob Fullerton

1:06:17

on the Funhouse podcast. Right,

1:06:19

are you ready for the next game? Bring him

1:06:21

on. Hey, it's John Hunt.

1:06:23

Well, it's John Hunt. What

1:06:26

did I hear about Jacob busting? Are we doing milking

1:06:28

tables, finally? Is

1:06:31

it replacing the podcast? The milking

1:06:34

table of podcasts? Welcome,

1:06:37

John Holland. That's the only way I can

1:06:40

move on from that. Listen, you

1:06:42

know my stick. Sexy. John,

1:06:44

how are you? I

1:06:46

am good. I feel like I've been

1:06:48

gone for a month. What the fuck?

1:06:50

You were traveling, so. Rusty,

1:06:52

yeah. Not just traveling. John Holland

1:06:54

was traveling in Holland. That's right.

1:06:57

Special. And that's so crazy,

1:06:59

because you were there just after I was there.

1:07:01

And I was so excited looking at your posts

1:07:03

every day. I was like, oh, cool. I

1:07:05

had such a good time. I didn't expect to be

1:07:07

traveling as much, because the Europe trip was already planned,

1:07:10

because we wanted to be Holland's in Holland. But

1:07:12

then I went to the DR for a week, because I

1:07:14

think I told you, a whole bunch of shit happened last

1:07:16

year with this resort. And they were like, hey, Terry has

1:07:18

a free week on us. And I was like, y'all gave

1:07:20

that to me way too easy. I feel like y'all are

1:07:22

going to close soon. So I was like, let me cash

1:07:25

that shit in now. I was in

1:07:27

a DR for a week, came back for half

1:07:29

a week, then went right back to Europe. That's

1:07:31

so crazy. Never doing that again. That was stressful

1:07:33

and tiring, but fun. So much fun. Seems like

1:07:35

a lot. Yeah, so

1:07:37

you're welcome to the finale. Hey,

1:07:39

man. We've just been. Ryan, what have

1:07:42

we been talking about? Everything. Everything. Funhouse,

1:07:44

basically. Funhouse. The year. Favorite

1:07:47

video. You have one of the year?

1:07:51

That you worked on, that you were a part of. I

1:07:53

mean, the stream, but that's not necessary either. The

1:07:56

stream's been from people's answers. Gorilla

1:07:58

VR was a lot of fun. wall

1:10:00

and seeing what sticks. Playing disc

1:10:02

golf and basketball. Yeah. Both

1:10:05

of you are part of the

1:10:07

outdoor adventure crew. Yeah. It's

1:10:10

been you, you,

1:10:13

Jacob and James. And

1:10:15

so, you know, somebody's got to get in there and maybe show you

1:10:17

guys how it's done. I don't know. I

1:10:19

mean, you know, you try to show us how it was

1:10:22

done on the disc golf and, you know. Nobody saw that.

1:10:24

I don't think the done got done. Oh, really? No,

1:10:26

it came out. I saw it in the net. I

1:10:28

had a I had a perfect. You

1:10:31

have to pay to see it. You got to pay for

1:10:33

the women. I had a four whole

1:10:35

of ones in a row. It was insane. I

1:10:37

don't remember that being like that. I remember you

1:10:39

kind of collapsing at the end. I remember in

1:10:41

the editing room and being like that. But

1:10:46

yeah, is there anything else that you want

1:10:48

to talk to the Funhouse viewers, the Funhouse

1:10:50

podcast listeners? Yeah. Man,

1:10:53

what a while, right? I remember this podcast when

1:10:55

I joined Funhouse in 2018 and just

1:10:57

the evolution of it. So it's crazy that we're here.

1:11:00

If you're not a member, I mean, I know we keep pushing,

1:11:02

but definitely sign up because the crew commentaries are amazing. That's another

1:11:04

thing that I've been wanting to do since 2019. And

1:11:07

we finally get to do it. It's such a unique

1:11:09

experience because it's like we get to relive the videos

1:11:12

after we forgot them and suppress the memories. And

1:11:14

then like you get the kind of like the

1:11:16

inside baseball, but everything and you learn like the

1:11:19

good accidents, the shortcomings,

1:11:21

the things that were intentional, but turned

1:11:23

into this and all that. And especially like I feel like

1:11:26

our audience has like a class of aspiring

1:11:28

content creators. And I want them to know like, hey,

1:11:31

no matter how much money you throw at this

1:11:33

shit, something's going to go wrong. So be prepared

1:11:35

for it. Don't get discouraged. And hopefully you can learn

1:11:37

from us, like this divulging all the stuff that goes

1:11:39

on. But I love watching it. Even though I set

1:11:41

it up, you know, and

1:11:44

for George's kitchen, follow that. I'm

1:11:47

trying to get to 10,000 subscribers by the end of

1:11:49

next year. So let's go ahead and do that. Oh

1:11:51

yeah. So three of us did the

1:11:53

John and Lindsay cook off where Ryan

1:11:55

had to pick out food and then

1:11:57

go eat it. So that was a

1:11:59

memory school. video that came out this year

1:12:01

and actually was one of my if I

1:12:03

haven't asked myself or Ryan this question yet

1:12:05

But that was one of my favorite moments

1:12:07

was doing that cook-off video Yeah, it definitely

1:12:09

one when we were in the moment I

1:12:11

had the couch hop cook-off vibes which a

1:12:14

lot of people in the comments or the

1:12:16

top five or cooking show vibes And

1:12:19

I just love that kind of

1:12:21

environment. It was great. Like I watched I Sniggled

1:12:24

and giggled so much just watching I was like,

1:12:26

yeah, my kind of wishes was it behind the

1:12:28

paywall? We totally I do

1:12:31

another one. That's that's something else. I will look forward to

1:12:33

I could do like two more of those in such Unique

1:12:35

ways. I know we have one plan that I think is

1:12:37

gonna be great I don't know what a third one could

1:12:39

be We'll have to see how this one goes if we

1:12:41

can catch lightning a bottle again But that that was a

1:12:43

like a lot of fun. We did that one like a

1:12:45

Friday I think or was that during the middle

1:12:47

of the week? I don't remember when we

1:12:49

recorded it because it's so long ago.

1:12:52

They finally it took forever to record

1:12:54

it Yeah, but that was really fun.

1:12:56

And and I would look forward to

1:12:58

doing more stuff. Hell yeah Yeah,

1:13:01

I just brought it up cuz you know shout out your

1:13:03

cooking show, which I think is so cool, too So

1:13:06

yeah, I want to cook You

1:13:09

need to come one. I know. Yeah, it's

1:13:12

my shooting schedule so shitty for the show because I

1:13:14

do it on Saturdays like early Yes,

1:13:16

I won't be doing that. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Well,

1:13:18

listen, I don't like getting drunk early I

1:13:21

don't get drunk as drunk one screen anymore By the way for

1:13:23

those who are concerned about me at the beginning of the show

1:13:25

I don't do that I kind of

1:13:27

just sip wine and then later in the evening is

1:13:29

when I'll turn up unless you're a guest then

1:13:31

Lindsay I gotta get you fucked up. Yeah All

1:13:36

right. Thanks for coming by John

1:13:38

Holland. Thank you John. We appreciate

1:13:40

you. See you man practice Alright,

1:13:44

please welcome. It's the

1:13:46

voice of the God thing that you're talking about

1:13:49

the Wizard of Oz Welcome

1:13:51

our podcast technical director one

1:13:54

of the best guys here Look

1:14:01

at that. I mean, look at that amazing shout

1:14:03

out. Look at us. I know. Who

1:14:06

would have thought? Thank you. We needed to hear you guys.

1:14:08

So for anybody who, you know, doesn't,

1:14:10

is not aware, Rick is

1:14:12

always behind the scenes TDing

1:14:14

this podcast. He's camera switching.

1:14:16

He's there listening, taking notes

1:14:19

sometimes, adding commentary occasionally. Yeah.

1:14:22

So, yeah, welcome to the table.

1:14:25

Mickey, this is a

1:14:27

nice little table. What was your favorite podcast

1:14:29

of the year? From listening to it, from

1:14:32

your vantage point. Yeah, which episode? Yeah, which

1:14:34

episode? I know you guys are going to

1:14:36

say the Rick podcast, but that's not it.

1:14:38

It's all the, am I the asshole podcast?

1:14:40

Those ones, were you laughing a lot back

1:14:42

there? Sometimes I can hear your laugh across

1:14:44

the room. Oh, that feels

1:14:46

so good when you can hear it echoing across.

1:14:49

Yeah. Yeah. I mean, just the discussions you guys

1:14:51

have from that. I mean, I like to see

1:14:53

who plays double advocate the most. Yeah. Yeah.

1:14:55

That shouldn't be that way. No, you're the asshole.

1:14:57

If you think about that, I mean, it's just, it's

1:14:59

just fun seeing how your guys' mind works. I

1:15:02

think, yeah, I think there's been a lot of

1:15:04

fun moments where we learned something new about Ryan

1:15:06

and it's hard for me to, I feel like

1:15:09

at this point, it's hard for me to learn

1:15:11

something new about you and be like totally surprised.

1:15:13

I think now if I learned something new about

1:15:15

you, I'm just like, that makes a lot

1:15:17

of sense. Because of this podcast? Yeah.

1:15:19

Just because I'm working with you now for a

1:15:22

while and you know. Yeah. It's amazing

1:15:24

to see how Ryan works. Works?

1:15:27

Yeah. How you operate? Yeah.

1:15:29

How do you operate? How those gears are turning?

1:15:31

Yeah. How those gears are grinding? It's just, it's

1:15:34

amazing, dude. Like you

1:15:36

literally turn chicken shit into like

1:15:38

chicken salad. Amazing. And shit and

1:15:40

the chicken salad. It's

1:15:42

amazing. Because like I, the

1:15:44

whole pig thing, I fucked that up and I

1:15:46

just handed Ryan just complete chicken shit and he

1:15:49

just made something out of it. The pig video?

1:15:51

Yeah. Oh, no, that was fun. But

1:15:54

thank you, Rick. Aw,

1:15:56

that's so sweet. At first I was like, what are you,

1:15:58

a pig? You got him a pig? Yeah, the

1:16:01

big video that Ryan lost him.

1:16:05

We've already gone over that. We've already gone over the

1:16:07

sporting events. I'm going to edit the rest of that

1:16:09

video and it's every single night. So

1:16:12

that was one of your favorite podcasts. Is there

1:16:14

a favorite production or a stream? I mean, you

1:16:17

know all the questions we've been asking. Favorite

1:16:20

production that, favorite

1:16:24

overall production I would say is the Wrestling

1:16:27

Battle Royale because that's one of the first

1:16:29

things. Actually, the first thing I actually started

1:16:31

producing for Funhaus was the Mario

1:16:34

Maker 2 video. But that was just like, you

1:16:36

know what? I'm into Mario Maker. Let me just

1:16:39

get my feet wet, try to see what this

1:16:41

whole producing thing is all about. But then I

1:16:43

actually suck my teeth into the wrestling video. And

1:16:46

James just said that, you know, that was

1:16:48

his number one video of the year. Yeah,

1:16:51

I mean like. The way that you program

1:16:53

those fights or whatever and build each character,

1:16:55

right? You build the whole fucking thing. Absolutely.

1:16:57

Yeah, you put a lot of work in

1:16:59

it. It's awesome. Ryan was a

1:17:02

huge inspiration because of all

1:17:04

your stories. I'm just like, dude, who is this guy?

1:17:07

You know, there's just something crazy about Ryan

1:17:09

every single time I hear about him. So

1:17:11

obviously you are like my Mick Foley in

1:17:13

this whole thing. I think in

1:17:15

the comments, it's like, is Ryan the three faces

1:17:17

of Foley? So yes, he is the three faces

1:17:20

of Foley. That's because this is crazy motherfucker right

1:17:22

here. Always has something different. But other than that.

1:17:24

Red State Ryan getting his best shot off. Red

1:17:26

State Ryan getting his best shot off. Red

1:17:29

State Ryan always got to be there. Alter State Ryan

1:17:31

is my favorite one. Was

1:17:33

there a fourth one? The Ryanator.

1:17:36

The Ryanator. Yeah, that was a little one

1:17:38

off. There's going to be more. There's going to be a whole lot more.

1:17:41

Other than that, another

1:17:43

production that isn't

1:17:45

on this channel but did take

1:17:47

place here was the always

1:17:50

open episode with Barb

1:17:52

Charlotte and Stevie from Mythical.

1:17:54

Okay. Because it

1:17:56

is insane. When Charlotte turns

1:17:58

it on, you just... see magic

1:18:00

happen. Oh, yeah. And it's so crazy

1:18:03

to witness a switch turned on is

1:18:05

like, yo, this is gonna

1:18:07

be super special. And she killed it that episode.

1:18:10

I always charismatic, crazy, you know,

1:18:12

it's a charm. Yeah. But then

1:18:14

all the calcite

1:18:17

videos, pig, of course,

1:18:19

like, I hurt my foot the night before

1:18:21

pig, which really upset

1:18:23

me because I was gonna kick

1:18:25

your guys's asses in basketball. I

1:18:27

was like, you know, I

1:18:30

haven't shot a basketball in like, three years. But

1:18:32

I know I can still cook these fools. But

1:18:35

then I was like, I was doing like,

1:18:38

post news, I'll zoom footwork shit, like at home.

1:18:40

And then all of a sudden, I felt a

1:18:42

pop in my foot. And like, I've been limping

1:18:44

ever since Jesus. So yeah, that's bad news. Bad

1:18:46

news. But yeah, like, also another

1:18:49

crazy thing about this year that I noticed is

1:18:51

the growth of everyone. Like,

1:18:53

it's been really amazing to see like right before

1:18:55

my eyes, like, Lindsay taking the

1:18:58

role of channel manager now. Yeah,

1:19:00

co channel manager, managing with Dan,

1:19:02

like, it's just crazy, like, the

1:19:05

growth that you and Dan have showed in leading

1:19:07

us. What's really nice

1:19:09

to hear? That's good. No, it's like,

1:19:11

it's crazy, because a lot of things got thrown at us.

1:19:14

A lot of things like we didn't want to do like, right? You don't

1:19:16

want to do this podcast. That's not fair.

1:19:19

Why? I volunteer. That was my idea.

1:19:21

What happened is yes, Ryan was like, I'll do it. And

1:19:23

then I was like, and then all

1:19:25

he's gonna need some help. Like, I'll

1:19:27

help you. It's

1:19:32

just like, you took on producing roles

1:19:34

for this podcast. And like, you've killed

1:19:36

it every time you had something stressful.

1:19:38

Sometimes you did it like, but when you do,

1:19:41

you knock it out of the park every single

1:19:43

time. And that's fucking sick. But like you said,

1:19:45

if your focus, if your sole focus was on

1:19:47

this podcast game, you would kill it. Yeah. I

1:19:49

put way more into my gameplay edits

1:19:53

than I did. I feel like B minus C plus maybe in

1:19:55

this. Yeah,

1:20:00

it's also everyone's growth Jacob I share

1:20:02

an office with Jacob seeing him grow

1:20:04

into like the producer and like the

1:20:07

content creator that he is now Jacob's crazy

1:20:09

crazy everything that he's done Patrick Patrick's evolution

1:20:11

this year is insane Like everyone has just

1:20:13

stepped their game up to an elevator and

1:20:16

it's super inspiring to see and like I

1:20:18

don't edit here at all And

1:20:20

when people went in the comments call me and I'm like,

1:20:23

you know, dude, that's that's a disrespect to Ryan First

1:20:26

and foremost, I'm like, you know Don't label me in the

1:20:28

class of mine because I'm nowhere near that but

1:20:30

like I just you know, everyone has a role here I

1:20:32

just try to do the best I can and I

1:20:34

hope I'm just You're

1:20:37

killing it. Yeah, Rick you

1:20:39

are here. It's really behind

1:20:41

the scenes and like everything that you're seeing

1:20:43

I don't want it. There's so much going

1:20:45

on. It's time. It's it takes a lot

1:20:47

out of me personally, but I Work

1:20:50

with an amazing group of people and they make me

1:20:52

laugh every single time they're all my friends and it's

1:20:55

just crazy to see just like Everyone

1:20:57

grow and I just hope we just keep continuing grow

1:21:00

next year next year. Yeah Go

1:21:03

to more Grizzlies games. Oh, dude, actually I

1:21:05

want to talk to you about that because

1:21:07

I I've started my NBA arena bucket list

1:21:09

Or, uh-huh. I'm going to Chicago FedEx for

1:21:11

him. We're going to Memphis cuz

1:21:13

I would love to catch on I already have

1:21:15

my I'm gonna be at the first game jaw

1:21:17

is back at over Christmas over Christmas

1:21:19

I mean, you know, that's probably too I

1:21:22

get it. You can't know because here's my

1:21:24

list right now I wanted to go to

1:21:26

Phoenix for the Orlando game during New Year's

1:21:28

is on December 31st But

1:21:30

I'm also thinking about going to

1:21:32

James Dean Damian Lillard's return game

1:21:34

to Portland at the end of

1:21:37

January Okay, so I want to do that but

1:21:40

I would love to go to Memphis game with

1:21:42

you. We're down. Yeah Yeah, let's plan it out. All 20

1:21:44

24 all 20 24. Do you have anything else? You

1:21:48

want to say to all the listeners now, I

1:21:50

just see you later pretty much. Yeah. See you

1:21:52

later. Have a good one Fuck

1:21:54

all this bullshit No,

1:21:57

thank you for rocking us like a lot of

1:21:59

changes happen This year and for you guys to be

1:22:01

just sticking with us through all my

1:22:03

bullshit through all their bullshit. Just thank you Good

1:22:16

A fun house face. Yeah

1:22:23

To make my second appearance on

1:22:25

the podcast What was your other

1:22:27

one? I don't remember I was

1:22:29

on dude soup. Okay once but

1:22:31

it's not the counts In

1:22:37

this office, yeah, we were over there What

1:22:40

did you bring? Oh, yeah, I did it

1:22:42

might be the only other No, I was on

1:22:44

once with Elise when you were out and early on

1:22:47

too when we were in that room We would bring

1:22:49

people in a lot more often for random things But

1:22:51

then I always felt like it it was I was

1:22:53

bothering people being like, you know I come do this,

1:22:55

you know, like it's like be

1:22:57

part of your job to be able to do this kind

1:22:59

of thing But

1:23:01

I always felt guilty asking because I go

1:23:04

nobody wants to come stay on me You

1:23:07

were I mean you were right. You're right on the money Well,

1:23:10

thank you for being here now on

1:23:12

this final episode of this

1:23:14

version of the podcast going away We don't

1:23:16

know what's gonna happen afterwards But I've been

1:23:18

telling you know the listeners and I was

1:23:21

here with James It's not like Funhouse isn't

1:23:23

producing a podcast anymore because we

1:23:25

have another podcast Yeah, and

1:23:27

you are on that podcast trash for

1:23:29

trash trash for trash James and Patrick talking about shitty

1:23:32

movies We already went over all this, but I just wanted

1:23:34

to give you your Thank

1:23:36

you your piece. Hey, what do

1:23:38

you like about doing that podcast? We get

1:23:40

to watch any movies That's all it is is

1:23:42

I found a way to get paid to watch shitty movies. How

1:23:44

are you? We do it on the clock Mm-hmm. We do it

1:23:46

right here in the office. Yeah, this isn't a thing that we

1:23:48

watch at home and then come in we Schedule

1:23:51

time on the camera. I do. I'm the one who's

1:23:54

Like here's the block. They're unavailable. The boys

1:23:56

are unavailable. I got paid to watch

1:23:58

a munchy. Yeah Win-win.

1:24:01

You see Munchy? No, I haven't. Do you really recommend

1:24:03

it? Fuck, hot pottery, I feel like you'd like it. parties

1:24:06

so I can just watch movies? I mean, yeah, it's great. It's

1:24:08

great. And I think a watch party is fun. But this

1:24:10

is neither here nor there. moments,

1:24:13

especially when it comes to the show. And I think it's a great idea to watch. And

1:24:15

I think it's a great idea to watch. And I think it's a great idea to watch. And I

1:24:17

think it's a great idea to watch. There

1:24:48

are so many series that you've been a part of.

1:24:51

Demo Wheel? Did you say Demo Wheel? I did say

1:24:53

Demo Wheel. I don't know. But, what

1:24:55

is maybe your favorite video? Oh

1:24:58

Jesus. Oh, from this year? Yeah, is there

1:25:00

one that was like this was a gut buster? The

1:25:04

Batman one? Actually,

1:25:06

yeah, that's pretty recent. It was really, really fun.

1:25:09

There was something that came up recently that I was

1:25:11

like, oh yeah, that was super

1:25:14

funny but I don't remember what it was now. It's

1:25:17

a memory. It's okay. But yeah, recently,

1:25:20

let me say Batman. Batman was great. Or

1:25:22

there's a couple Demo Wheels too. There's

1:25:24

a Demo Wheel where it was all about like

1:25:27

cops sucking off. Was that

1:25:29

Demo Wheel or was that something else? I

1:25:31

don't know. I did a couple rough cuts of

1:25:33

a couple episodes of Demo Wheel and it was

1:25:35

making me laugh a lot. It

1:25:37

was very good. And then I would just pass on and be like, here, finish this

1:25:39

off. Bad couple weeks. There

1:25:43

was so much recording because there was... How many... I

1:25:46

had a great time. How many individual episodes were there?

1:25:48

Including like... So one that went out on the YouTube

1:25:50

channel every week and then one that was for members

1:25:52

every week? Yeah, I think it was 14 total.

1:25:55

14 members weeks. Yeah, and we recorded them like that.

1:25:57

So spam. Spam, yeah, all done.

1:26:00

We got a spam call earlier. Yeah, I

1:26:02

think was 14 total. No added something

1:26:05

as far as streams go You've

1:26:07

also you were also in a lot of streams this

1:26:09

year. Yeah, is there any standout

1:26:11

moments standout events? the

1:26:14

Well trucker trucker trucker the

1:26:17

one it's really fun to watch those elban

1:26:19

boys is fun I always get fucked in

1:26:21

both of those though through some I mean

1:26:24

elban ring. I'm just not paying attention I

1:26:26

can't pay attention and to a game and

1:26:28

stream at the same time. So it's like

1:26:30

I'm dying constantly and Jacob

1:26:33

is a has a weird like

1:26:37

Pre whatever he's he has a

1:26:40

gift video

1:26:42

games And

1:26:44

then the truck thing the controls keep breaking but they're

1:26:47

very fun to do. Otherwise The

1:26:51

live events are really fun the

1:26:54

Like the sub-a-thon like yeah, those have been really

1:26:56

fun. Yeah Yeah,

1:27:02

I like a day where you come in and just know I'm

1:27:04

not gonna do shit I'm not gonna do anything you still try

1:27:06

to edit on those days I'm here like

1:27:09

on what day like sub us there's like a sub-a-thon

1:27:11

where everyone's streaming and you're like still trying to get

1:27:18

Everyone else is like I don't have to do shit that

1:27:20

I'm gonna hang out or go get lunch or whatever Yeah,

1:27:22

you look in and you're like headphones That

1:27:25

is one thing though that I will say About

1:27:28

here is it's because of we try to

1:27:30

be so flexible with like all the schedules

1:27:32

and being able to put this here and

1:27:34

move That there I think there's very rarely

1:27:36

opportunity for like all of us to be

1:27:38

like here. We're taking lunch This

1:27:40

is lunch. Yeah, so the few times that we've

1:27:43

gotten to do that this year have been

1:27:45

really nice where we're like Yes,

1:27:47

it's all of I think it was actually be

1:27:49

only one time where we're all like we're all

1:27:51

at lunch And it might have been like Elise's

1:27:53

birthday or something. Oh, yeah, this

1:27:55

is lunch Just because

1:27:58

it's difficult to kind of manage 11,

1:28:01

12 people scheduled. So there's more than that. Um,

1:28:05

maybe like 14, maybe I'm counting bones. Who doesn't work

1:28:07

here. I mean, it works here, but yeah, I'm

1:28:09

just trying to count people, everybody who's in the office. And

1:28:11

I don't know the exact number. Um, is

1:28:14

there anything that you're looking forward to working on

1:28:16

next year? Like for fun house,

1:28:19

any projects or streams or anything that you have

1:28:21

been, haven't been able to like kind of take

1:28:23

on this year? No, I

1:28:25

took on everything this year. Um, I

1:28:29

don't know. I mean, you did take on

1:28:31

a lot, but is there something because you had to take

1:28:33

on all this other stuff, you're like, I wish I could

1:28:35

have done this. And I, I didn't get to do it.

1:28:37

I didn't have to take on a baby this year.

1:28:39

I did also take on a baby. That's true. I

1:28:41

had a very funny idea for a mitch. I

1:28:45

mean, all my, all my ideas

1:28:47

are mostly Christmas special variations on

1:28:49

Christmas specials. I don't

1:28:51

know why that's like your Shane black

1:28:53

of YouTube, I guess. But yeah,

1:28:56

I, I really wanted to do like, I had

1:28:58

a really funny idea for a mitch Christmas special

1:29:00

that I didn't have until like

1:29:02

two, I had the idea like two weeks ago,

1:29:04

write it down, bring it back in a year. I

1:29:06

know. So it's like, well, fingers

1:29:09

crossed. We'll be there.

1:29:11

I'll, uh, me and Elise, what did the, what's

1:29:14

it called the thing

1:29:17

that John, John Holland produces? What's

1:29:20

her gamers? No crew commentary. We

1:29:22

watched the gift guide. I think

1:29:25

that I think those, they

1:29:27

need, those two need to be dragged

1:29:29

out into the light again. Sandy and

1:29:31

Tanya. But I don't know what

1:29:33

that's so much. Those are so much work. Other

1:29:36

than that, I don't know. I mean,

1:29:38

there's a bunch of, I just want to play a bunch of shitty

1:29:40

games with weird nudity. Yeah.

1:29:44

Just play a bunch of shitty

1:29:46

games. You know, more

1:29:48

trash for trash. I'd love to do more of

1:29:50

that and have that grow. What about have guests

1:29:53

on trash? Only you knew other

1:29:55

people who love movies at this channel.

1:30:00

It's like, okay, yeah.

1:30:02

And then we go record

1:30:05

something without him. I

1:30:07

think there's definitely, yeah, we could make

1:30:10

room for that, eventually. Did you go

1:30:12

to the Baroness actually? No,

1:30:14

I didn't go. It's hard

1:30:16

to... I think we went to...

1:30:18

We went and saw Nick Cave the night before. So it

1:30:21

was a little difficult to go

1:30:23

out to that the next day, but I wanted to do real bad,

1:30:26

but I couldn't... Never seen him. I

1:30:29

want to see him. Nick Cave was great, though. Was

1:30:32

he with... What's his band? No,

1:30:34

it was just him and

1:30:36

the bassist from Radiohead. Oh, cool.

1:30:38

It was just like a two-person thing.

1:30:40

It was all good? Yeah, it was rocked. Nice.

1:30:43

Yeah, I don't know. I haven't

1:30:46

even thought about... Next year? No.

1:30:48

Just really trying to get through the end of

1:30:50

this year? Yeah, pretty much. I mean, I totally

1:30:52

get that. It's a question that's more like, oh

1:30:54

yeah, I really wish I could have done this,

1:30:56

so I look forward to maybe having the opportunity

1:30:58

to doing something like that. So the Minch, the

1:31:21

Minch, I want everyone freed

1:31:24

up and feeling good to be

1:31:26

in and produce random bullshit again. That's

1:31:29

what I want. Hell yeah.

1:31:31

Because we're all so fucking

1:31:34

busy. You can only focus on one thing,

1:31:36

really. You can... Edit time. I

1:31:39

mean, yeah, but you can only put so much energy

1:31:41

into anything. So it's like, I

1:31:45

would say most of your energy goes into editing. I

1:31:47

put most of my energy into producing. We both have

1:31:50

the same job title or

1:31:52

whatever, right? But you

1:31:54

have to figure out the

1:31:56

percentage split. And I just

1:31:58

chose that I'm not putting... most of my energy

1:32:00

into this. And it's not to do the other shit too,

1:32:03

but this is where my focus

1:32:05

is going or whatever. And I

1:32:07

feel like we used to all have more... I mean,

1:32:09

this is because we had... A

1:32:12

lot of things have changed. This is not, I

1:32:14

think, a choice anyone made. A

1:32:17

lot of people do a lot of things here. Yes.

1:32:19

But that was a very fun time

1:32:21

where I think everyone was very active

1:32:25

in like, oh, I had

1:32:28

this idea and back then you could also just be like,

1:32:30

well, let's just shoot it right now, which you can't really

1:32:32

do anymore. But, yeah,

1:32:35

one more. Because you'd get like a weird

1:32:38

video that someone just found a

1:32:40

game, was like, hey, this seems odd. And then

1:32:42

we'd just like pull three people. And

1:32:44

sometimes those would end up being like

1:32:47

the best videos on the channel. That's

1:32:49

what I want. I think that's a

1:32:51

good goal. That's really, yeah. And attainable. Yeah,

1:32:53

maybe. Is there anything

1:32:55

else you'd like to say to the

1:32:58

Funhouse Podcast listeners or viewers? Anything else

1:33:00

out there? Yeah. Hi, I'm Patrick

1:33:03

Brown. Fun from

1:33:06

Funhouse. First time here.

1:33:10

Second time here. Second time here.

1:33:12

Check me out on... A

1:33:15

thread. No, I don't have any. They know. I

1:33:17

don't have any. Thank

1:33:21

you. Thank you for listening. Thank

1:33:23

you. Thank you, Patrick, for stopping by the

1:33:25

fun of the last podcast of the Funhouse

1:33:28

Podcast. All

1:33:31

right, please welcome our next

1:33:33

guest. James

1:33:36

Willow. Where's the

1:33:38

band? The post. Can you hear it?

1:33:41

Oh, there it is. There it is.

1:33:43

Yeah, yeah. How are

1:33:45

you, James? I'm good. How are you? Great.

1:33:47

Congratulations. We made it. We made it. We did it.

1:33:49

We did it. We did it. We did it. We did

1:33:51

it. Now,

1:33:54

for now, Ryan and I are done.

1:33:56

But to be clear, Funhouse still produces

1:33:58

a podcast, and that's... You,

1:34:00

it's the James podcast. Yes, the James

1:34:02

show. It's just me talking for four

1:34:04

hours, I think, and we're gonna do

1:34:06

three a week. Three a week. Just

1:34:08

my rants, just my thoughts and stuff.

1:34:11

No, yeah. I mean, we are, so we're

1:34:14

getting rid of this podcast, right? But we're

1:34:16

still doing podcasting. Yeah. And I

1:34:18

think in a more focused manner. Yeah. So currently

1:34:21

there's another podcast that Funhouse is producing. It's

1:34:23

called Trash for Trash. It's a movie about, or

1:34:25

it's a, excuse me, a podcast. It's about bad movies.

1:34:28

And you guys kind of just break down

1:34:30

some, the movie and, you know, giving it

1:34:33

some jabs. I've watched them and I've listened.

1:34:35

Listen, it's not an original idea. Who are we

1:34:37

trying to fool? It's not an original idea. Is

1:34:39

there any original idea? No, I mean, yeah, there

1:34:41

are, but we don't have time for that. We

1:34:43

don't have time. But we don't get paid enough for

1:34:45

our original idea. I've never done that. Original.

1:34:47

Okay, now we're going to. I think, no, have you

1:34:49

been watching The Curse? No, I'm buying.

1:34:52

Okay, well, someone does basically that

1:34:54

in the most recent episode. And

1:34:57

it's awesome. But

1:34:59

no, yeah, it's, so it's a bad

1:35:01

movie podcast, but it's Patrick and I.

1:35:03

And basically we kind of love that

1:35:05

weird genre of movies from the eighties

1:35:08

and nineties. Yeah. Where like you

1:35:10

could for some reason get like 800,000 to

1:35:14

like $3 million and like convince the

1:35:16

studio to make an actual movie, even though

1:35:18

you're not good at it in any way,

1:35:20

shape or form. So

1:35:23

we focus mostly on those types of films.

1:35:25

Yeah. And, and it's fun. It's not necessarily

1:35:27

a replacement for this, but I think we

1:35:29

have a fun take on everything. Yeah. But

1:35:31

it's like something, if you want a little audio fix in your

1:35:34

car, who am I gonna, I'll listen to something. Now

1:35:36

you can listen to James and Patrick. And how,

1:35:38

what percentage do you think of the people listening

1:35:40

to this podcast have actually gone and dug

1:35:43

up this shitty old movie and then rewatch

1:35:45

it specifically so that they can follow along?

1:35:47

You mean our, like have listened to an

1:35:49

episode of our podcast to go,

1:35:51

I don't understand the question. Like,

1:35:53

like before they're like, oh, you did it. Blank

1:35:56

movies. And they watched the movie and then they

1:35:58

listen to your podcasts. I

1:36:01

have no idea but I will say this we

1:36:03

always know what we're gonna do next so at

1:36:05

the end of any given episode We make sure

1:36:07

to let people know what we're gonna talk about

1:36:09

in the next episode So if they want to

1:36:12

watch and join along But that's

1:36:14

smart But about half of the podcast

1:36:16

at least is devoted to recapping the

1:36:18

plot because the whole point is that

1:36:21

We're watching it so you don't have to that's

1:36:24

the whole point. Uh-huh. It's probably not worth your

1:36:26

time That's fair. But you know just

1:36:28

as like I guess a counterpoint one of my

1:36:30

favorite things to do is listen

1:36:33

to somebody that I like or respect

1:36:35

and Hear them talk

1:36:37

about stuff. I already know so like today

1:36:39

could recap the whole thing and I'd be like, huh?

1:36:41

Yeah, yeah, that's right And then cuz I'll add in

1:36:43

their little flavor here and there and that's what I'm

1:36:45

listening for But like in respect aren't

1:36:47

two things that Patrick Dig

1:36:51

into the your philosophy with

1:36:53

behind calling these films trash

1:36:55

sure, you know Did you

1:36:57

do genuinely think that they're

1:37:00

terrible bad movies? Objectively or

1:37:02

or is it like do you think that there's

1:37:04

a small? Specific charm

1:37:06

the term trash was specifically chosen and

1:37:08

the podcast is called trash for trash

1:37:11

So implying that we are the trash.

1:37:13

Well, yeah as well and it's trash

1:37:15

for us I do think that it

1:37:17

it ties into the adage that one

1:37:20

one person's trash could be another person's

1:37:22

treasure. I I'm

1:37:24

telling you Siri I have to

1:37:26

look but no I think it ties into

1:37:28

the whole track one track persons trash could

1:37:30

be another person Okay, got it. Thanks. So

1:37:32

yeah, we're digging through a dumpster and we're

1:37:34

finding these things Assuming them

1:37:37

so it is trash. It's been thrown

1:37:39

away by society at large So in

1:37:41

the industry at large we try but

1:37:43

we are repurposing it to something beautiful

1:37:45

or terrible And now you can listen to

1:37:47

trash for trash Wherever you get

1:37:49

your audio podcasts Spotify Apple podcast blah blah

1:37:51

blah blah you can watch the video version

1:37:53

over on roostsees.com But

1:37:56

but James, I just wanted to talk to

1:37:58

you a little bit about the history of

1:38:00

this podcast. Ryan and I started

1:38:02

it. Yeah, he feels like only

1:38:04

yesterday. Wow. There's

1:38:07

been many iterations of this podcast because

1:38:09

we sort of just kept, even though

1:38:11

the hosts would change or the setting

1:38:13

would change. I mean, we did

1:38:15

it in the little white room at the beginning of this

1:38:18

year and I was like, we got to get out of

1:38:20

this room. You know, how do you

1:38:22

feel about it ending? I mean,

1:38:25

you haven't been a part of, I guess, like

1:38:27

the roles and responsibilities of like taking care of

1:38:30

it for a while and then you're a little

1:38:32

bit less attached. Well, I can tell you

1:38:34

this. I did, I did have to produce it

1:38:36

for a while and it burns you out really,

1:38:38

really bad. I

1:38:41

know that making a podcast is a

1:38:44

full time job and doing it alongside

1:38:46

a full time job is really exhausting.

1:38:48

I think some of the detriment to

1:38:50

the fun house podcast was that if

1:38:53

all we had to do was make one

1:38:55

podcast per week, like a 90 minute

1:38:57

podcast, I have no, there would always be

1:38:59

stuff to talk about. There would always be

1:39:02

reactions to things topical or otherwise. We'd always

1:39:04

have new stuff. But when

1:39:06

you realize that you recorded four

1:39:08

or five videos earlier

1:39:10

that week where you, you kind

1:39:13

of shared with your friends and

1:39:15

coworkers, these other things that spurned

1:39:17

into topics alongside eight hours of

1:39:19

streaming every single week, there's really

1:39:21

not that much left unless

1:39:24

your podcast has like a

1:39:26

concept, like a movie thing or

1:39:28

whatever. So I know how impossible

1:39:31

that is to maintain. I'll take

1:39:33

you way back to Inside Gaming when

1:39:35

we started a podcast because

1:39:38

no one was buying ads on gameplays.

1:39:40

Right. So we were making these gameplays

1:39:42

and it was costing money because no

1:39:44

one was buying ads on who would

1:39:47

want to buy an ad on

1:39:49

gameplays. Now that you see that everywhere, like everywhere

1:39:51

on YouTube has some sort of custom ad that

1:39:54

wasn't a thing. And we were telling the machine and the sales

1:39:56

seem like we'll make a podcast and

1:39:58

you sell it. We'd made a podcast and

1:40:00

they didn't know how to sell it. We

1:40:02

had to go to an outside company to get

1:40:05

them to sell it. So when we finally got

1:40:07

it rolling, it was like, finally we have money,

1:40:09

we're making money. It was from Shinnema, but we're

1:40:11

making money using a podcast. So

1:40:13

the podcast concept became such an integral

1:40:16

part of the business for so long.

1:40:19

But I think those

1:40:21

aren't necessary anymore. Like

1:40:23

I don't think so. I

1:40:26

feel like it has to be, I feel like to do

1:40:28

podcasting at this point, it has

1:40:30

to be a passion. You have to be super excited to,

1:40:33

and maybe like you're saying, it's the only opportunity

1:40:35

that you get to be like, let me tell

1:40:37

you my opinions and shoot this shit. But

1:40:39

it's not the only opportunity. Even if it's

1:40:42

not on camera, I have a hard time

1:40:44

not going to Ryan's office and being like,

1:40:46

Ryan, I wanna talk to you about this thing right

1:40:48

now. But then having to go, wow, we should save

1:40:50

it for the podcast because I think it's entertaining. Or

1:40:53

we're making each other crack up and we know it

1:40:55

would make other people laugh. So many

1:40:57

times I just ruin what I wanna talk

1:40:59

about because I gotta go, I gotta talk

1:41:01

now. So it's like you have

1:41:03

to be, I think, super passionate about this kind

1:41:05

of thing. And yeah, have it be maybe one

1:41:07

of your only opportunities to do so, to have

1:41:09

those conversations. I'd say it's more of the second

1:41:12

thing. Because I am very passionate about podcasting as

1:41:14

everyone knows. Are you? I love

1:41:16

podcasting. I've come in on Monday and you're like, am

1:41:18

I doing the podcast this week? Well, right,

1:41:20

but that goes back to the second thing

1:41:22

she said is that it's just like, it's

1:41:24

not our only gig. Yeah, oh yeah, our

1:41:26

fifth gig. So it's kinda

1:41:28

like, oh, there's just not enough bandwidths in the

1:41:30

fucking week. I would love to be able to.

1:41:32

We've talked about this before, but anyway.

1:41:35

And yeah, there's so many different avenues

1:41:37

for creating that revenue. So it's like,

1:41:40

how do you find

1:41:42

the passion to do it when I'm

1:41:44

way more passionate about the creative

1:41:46

projects that we're doing and

1:41:49

other fun stuff. And we can be putting more

1:41:51

time into that. That's one of the reasons

1:41:53

why. I think it would be cool. There's two

1:41:55

scenarios. One is better than the other. They'd

1:41:58

be cool if, you know, more

1:42:00

people, kind of like Patrick and I did, just like

1:42:03

duo'd or trio'd off and said, hey,

1:42:05

the three of us share this thing

1:42:08

and that could be a podcast. And then

1:42:10

that just became a podcast. It's its own

1:42:12

branding that we could support by like promoting

1:42:14

it on streams and on videos and stuff

1:42:16

like that. But it doesn't have to be

1:42:18

the fun house podcast or

1:42:21

something happens and we don't make any

1:42:23

gameplay videos anymore. And then we only

1:42:25

make one awesome podcast for a week.

1:42:29

Those would be the two scenarios that I'd

1:42:31

be like. Talk about what's happening in the game.

1:42:33

Yeah. James, what

1:42:35

are you excited about for the new year? It's

1:42:39

so tough. To be candid, I have

1:42:41

been so concerned about making it through

1:42:43

this year. I

1:42:45

understand that. We did a lot, I mean,

1:42:47

without pulling back the veil too much, we

1:42:49

did a lot of transitioning this year to

1:42:51

new content formats, new programming formats, new

1:42:54

revenue streams, trying to really redevelop and

1:42:56

hone in on our community again and

1:42:58

build up that passion for the kind

1:43:01

of content that we're making, refocus on

1:43:03

that stuff. We got kicked out of

1:43:05

our old office. We got moved to

1:43:08

a new office that I think we've

1:43:10

turned into something really fantastic. But to

1:43:12

be frank, when we arrived, we

1:43:15

just kind of got dumped in an office

1:43:17

building. It's, yeah. And we're told good luck.

1:43:19

It's very corporate in here. And so, but

1:43:21

I think everyone's done a really great job

1:43:23

of figuring out how to turn it into

1:43:25

our vibe. But

1:43:27

that has been happening slowly over the course of

1:43:29

a whole year. And

1:43:31

anytime you're dealing with that transition, there's

1:43:33

always the uncertainty of like, why

1:43:36

are we having to do hurdles? Like,

1:43:39

should we be concerned? I think everyone at a

1:43:41

certain point was always wondering, like, is something, are

1:43:43

we just gonna come in one day and the

1:43:45

lights are off? I think that's still gonna be

1:43:47

a factor in 2024. But

1:43:49

that's mostly what I've been thinking about. But

1:43:53

yeah, I mean, I think there's fun stuff. I'm excited to

1:43:55

keep doing trash for trash. I'm

1:43:58

excited to see new ideas. Bringing back

1:44:00

demo wheel was really fun. I'd like to see

1:44:02

more people pick up old strands of things and

1:44:04

figure out how we could do that. Put

1:44:06

a new twist on it. New twist. Actually

1:44:09

just figuring out a way to

1:44:11

get, not necessarily around YouTube's restrictions,

1:44:14

but work within the

1:44:16

system to give the hardest of

1:44:18

hardcore people what they want and

1:44:20

kind of without feeling like we

1:44:22

have to not

1:44:24

censor ourselves. But like great PG

1:44:27

content. Which is that. I think

1:44:29

that's totally fair to say. No,

1:44:31

the kind of stuff in our sense of humor

1:44:33

and our sensibilities, it can be right at our.

1:44:35

That doesn't mean like, oh every video we wanna

1:44:37

look at sex. Or NC-17. Or

1:44:40

NC-17. But you know, just

1:44:43

like having that, that's

1:44:45

like the flavor of humor and then not

1:44:47

being able to basically put that into our

1:44:49

creative work feels stifling. Yeah,

1:44:51

it's really. And also doesn't make us money. Yeah. So

1:44:54

I think that's a really cool thing to look forward to in

1:44:56

2024. Because I think we figured

1:44:58

that out with members and stuff. And then

1:45:00

also outdoor. Going outdoor and filming things outdoor.

1:45:03

Even if Ryan loses every single

1:45:05

time. We already been over that on

1:45:07

the staff. We go through it every

1:45:09

single time. I've pitched

1:45:11

some things. They're more complex.

1:45:14

But I think they're really fun. And they always seem to do

1:45:16

really well. And so I would like to do more

1:45:18

of that. Yeah, I think so.

1:45:21

That'd be fine. I said earlier, yeah, we gotta, oh

1:45:23

we should go to the UK to play football. Yeah.

1:45:26

We should just go get our nails done. Everyone goes

1:45:28

and gets their polishes. In the UK? Sure, in the

1:45:31

UK. All right, great. Now one more question

1:45:33

for you, James. Which Ryan asked you the

1:45:35

last question first. But I'm gonna ask the

1:45:37

question I was meant to be first. He

1:45:40

has a passion for this. And that's great. We love

1:45:42

the passion for the podcast. What

1:45:44

is one of your favorite moments from

1:45:47

this year? Whether it's like a production

1:45:49

stream, video, character. I would

1:45:51

say. Or not even work related,

1:45:53

I don't know. I would say

1:45:55

our, not our first member drive,

1:45:58

but our second member. drive

1:46:00

where we like introduce new tiers and

1:46:02

stuff and like in August, the one

1:46:04

in August, that whole thing I think

1:46:06

was so well executed and tons of

1:46:08

fun. And, and

1:46:10

then just the overwhelming

1:46:13

amount of support that we kind of got

1:46:15

from the community was really fun. It's I

1:46:17

always say the worst thing about this is you put

1:46:19

out a piece of content, it's like performing, but then

1:46:21

for numbers. So you

1:46:23

can do something like, man, I hope people love

1:46:25

this. But then the only thing you can go

1:46:27

is like, okay, a certain number of people love

1:46:29

this, but it doesn't mean anything. We'll watch this.

1:46:32

Yeah, something something about having like a chat open

1:46:34

and seeing people react in real time, things you're

1:46:36

doing, and saying it's different. It's as close as

1:46:38

you can get to like a live. And

1:46:41

so that was really, really, really fun. And

1:46:44

then for me personally, one of

1:46:46

the hardest I've laughed this year was

1:46:48

when we did the wrestling, the wrestling

1:46:51

battle royale, and all the different versions

1:46:53

of Ryan came out and all the

1:46:55

things that happened with the gun in

1:46:57

the ring and Patrick, Patrick falling off

1:46:59

was amazing. That was

1:47:02

great. And then trucker. I love trucking. You laugh a

1:47:04

lot in the trucker street. Trucking is really, really

1:47:06

fun too. So those are my highlights

1:47:08

for me. My highlight with you

1:47:10

was the voice activated video

1:47:12

game we played. Oh yeah,

1:47:14

yeah, that was a very, we haven't gone

1:47:17

back to that. And your edit of it

1:47:19

was amazing. I've watched it so many times.

1:47:21

That was a really fun, really great videos.

1:47:23

Well, thanks so much James

1:47:27

for coming to be on the finale

1:47:29

of the fine house podcast.

1:47:31

Thank you. Thanks for having me and I'll see you in

1:47:33

hell. All right. Now get the fuck out of here. Well,

1:47:35

Ryan, now

1:47:40

was there to talk about everybody came through.

1:47:42

We just had James here. He's

1:47:45

gone now. And so it's just

1:47:47

back to me and you were the furthest apart

1:47:49

on the screen as we've ever been

1:47:52

literally on opposite frame. I

1:47:54

know that was so weird how I took

1:47:57

my jacket off for most of it, but then I put

1:47:59

it back. back on for the James segment and then

1:48:01

I just took it back off again. I

1:48:04

mean, that's crazy. Don't worry. Movie

1:48:06

magic. Is

1:48:08

there anything else that you want to

1:48:10

say to the podcast? What's this man? Are

1:48:13

you telling me this is about an hour ago? You

1:48:16

were like, let's wrap this up. And now you're like,

1:48:18

this is it. I'm like, yeah, fuck

1:48:20

man. This has been fun. That's

1:48:23

a lot of fun. I mean,

1:48:25

I made man, Lindsey. Oh man.

1:48:29

It's just a shot of you moving. I'm not in it. We

1:48:34

did it. Well, I

1:48:36

think it's okay. We are going to be

1:48:38

in some videos still together. Lots

1:48:40

of stream. We'll be out. I think it,

1:48:43

I think it'd be funny if basically, uh, the

1:48:46

next time we're in a video together, maybe once

1:48:48

a month when we're in a video together, we

1:48:50

essentially just hijack it. And in the back, we'll

1:48:52

be having our own funnels podcast in the middle

1:48:55

of whatever we would be doing, you know, regardless

1:48:57

of the gameplay on a stream, that would be

1:48:59

good. On a stream. Maybe on stream. Think about

1:49:01

that. Sitting on the back couch, annoying shit.

1:49:05

Live funnels podcast unedited,

1:49:08

you know, I think that's a good idea. So

1:49:10

maybe, maybe this will go on just

1:49:12

in a different iteration in the

1:49:15

background of other people's videos and

1:49:17

other people's content planning. Yeah.

1:49:20

I just want to thank everybody for listening

1:49:22

and like basically accepting us as like the

1:49:24

people that you are listening to every week

1:49:27

for about a year. It,

1:49:30

it was a big change because you

1:49:32

know, we were new

1:49:34

to this sort of responsibility.

1:49:37

Yeah. I'm glad we gave it a shot. We gave it a

1:49:39

shot. And I think life is worth living when you

1:49:42

try new things. Yolo

1:49:45

motherfucker. Um, yeah, I

1:49:48

like, whenever I, you know, you, you, we counted

1:49:50

the story earlier whenever I volunteered and I was

1:49:52

like, I want to, that sounds fun. And in

1:49:55

my head, what I was thinking was like, cause

1:49:57

you know, at some point I kind of, Everyone

1:50:00

has a podcast on the internet, right? I mean, it's

1:50:02

just a rite of passage. If you are a person

1:50:05

on the internet, you must have a podcast.

1:50:07

So I've, at some point I want

1:50:09

to do that. You know what I mean? I'm just jumping there

1:50:11

and have my own little podcast and stuff. So I was like,

1:50:13

this will be like a nice little testing ground for me to

1:50:16

figure out. And what I found out is what

1:50:18

we've talked about a lot on this show is

1:50:20

it's fucking hard and especially when you get another

1:50:22

job. So basically it's like, like, I think that

1:50:24

was a good valuable lesson. It's just kind of

1:50:26

like, all right, you know, I hope I didn't

1:50:28

burn anyone else out there on me, you

1:50:30

know, hosting a podcast.

1:50:32

Come back when I actually have one on my

1:50:34

own channel. But I'm glad that we tried this.

1:50:37

You know what I mean? I'm glad. And

1:50:39

like I said, I appreciate that everybody who

1:50:41

still listens and watches, like, were interested to

1:50:43

keep hanging out with us and seeing what

1:50:45

we brought to the table each week or

1:50:47

sort of just sort of tossed on the

1:50:50

table each week of like, I don't know,

1:50:52

we're just figuring it out. And

1:50:55

yeah, you can still

1:50:57

watch the Funhouse channel. It

1:50:59

was cool seeing like people in the comments,

1:51:02

you know, when we first announced that this

1:51:04

was basically over, like, what the fuck? Like

1:51:08

I've listened to every single episode of

1:51:10

every iteration of this thing and why,

1:51:14

you know, so like, like, yeah,

1:51:16

to your point, I made

1:51:18

me feel bad and good at the same time. Well,

1:51:21

somebody stuck around the whole time. Every

1:51:23

single minute of this podcast we put out

1:51:25

and thank you for doing that. It's

1:51:28

definitely sort of a, I

1:51:31

had a chat GPT earlier write a thing because I

1:51:33

thought it'd be funny to do it. Because

1:51:35

I do remember one of the episodes that you did

1:51:37

earlier this year was a whole episode written by chat

1:51:39

GPT. Oh yeah. But I

1:51:41

for some reason am dumb and I'm

1:51:43

like, write a thing that's like, it's

1:51:46

sad that it's ending, but it's also a relief

1:51:48

and like we're happy to move on to new

1:51:51

things. And like the word is bittersweet.

1:51:53

That's the word I'm looking for dumbass. It's bittersweet.

1:51:56

It's just bittersweet. She's saying

1:51:58

goodbye, but we got to. I

1:52:00

should today, you know yeah Things

1:52:02

and you know and then there's new

1:52:05

beginnings, so you know people

1:52:07

know how it goes people know how it goes We're

1:52:09

adults here. We're all adults here Thanks

1:52:12

for listening. Thanks for watching. We appreciate

1:52:14

you We love you come watch come watch

1:52:16

the rest of whatever the fuck we end

1:52:18

up doing you know over on the time

1:52:20

We got now Swimming

1:52:23

in time the YouTube fun house channel and

1:52:25

make sure you listen to trash for trash

1:52:27

1:52:30

uh That's

1:52:32

it This

1:52:35

is the end The

1:52:42

end of the podcast, thank you everyone for watching I

1:52:47

Keep saying goodbye, but then I'm like

1:52:49

I Don't like

1:52:51

this can't be the last thing that we say on the

1:52:53

podcast we got to make it a cool thing We should

1:52:55

have talked about this. You know like which is the last

1:52:57

thing that they we say I

1:53:10

1:53:20

it's fighting off a band of ninjas on

a pommel horse in Jim Potter or fighting

1:53:24

for your life against a dilapidated Pervert

1:53:27

puppet munchie we're watching it It's
