What happens with excess yang (heat) and not enough yin (cooling) to counter it? What happens when oxygen and fluids fail to flow properly? It turns out the same thing that happens in a car engine happens inside of us: poor circulation causes overheating, stagnation, and ultimately a break down. Today we experience a lot of stimulation - a lot of up, up, up - and not enough relaxation, grounding, and returning to centre - and as a result our engines are overheating and a lot of “check engine” lights are appearing. But if we don’t know how to read the warnings and treat ourselves, the results can be catastrophic.

This week Jost and Leon focus on the fast-growing pathology ADHD and how traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) chalks it up to poor flow and an overabundance of heat. They talk about the correlations between vehicle dynamics, consumer electronic technology, and shoes when it comes to ‘using it or losing it’, and how this relates to our mind, body, and soul. Jost talks in depth about the Taoist’s mastery of frequency, pitch, and the 5 elements, and how our job is to establish the spirit in the physical world. Leon talks about his recent trip to China, how relaxation is key to developing power, and spending time with a master.  Jost and Leon also talk about the correct way to drive a rental car, how we should elect trees instead of politicians, and how breathing is the first step to combating, working with, and ultimately treating ADHD.
