Recorded during Hispanic Heritage Month (Sept 15-Oct 15), FWC Junior, Julian Sanchez, interviewed the honorable Mayor of North Richland Hills, Mr. Oscar Trevino. Mayor Trevino is a long-time friend of FWC. Julian is brand new to FWC this year and does a great job talking about faith, service, and leadership with Mayor Trevino. 

OSCAR TREVINO BIO: 

Mayor Oscar Trevino was elected Mayor of North Richland Hills, Texas in June 2002 and re-elected in 2004 and 2006. He has served on the City Council since 1999.

Mr. Trevino was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. He graduated from Texas A&M University in 1978 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. He is the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials (NALEO), Ex-Officio Member. He also won the Hispanic Businessman of the Year, Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (2015)

Mr. Trevino currently serves on the following boards and committees:

  • Executive Committee Member and Past Chair, Tarrant Regional Transportation Coalition (TRTC)
  • Chair, Regional Transportation Council (RTC)
  • Vice Chair, National League of Cities Transportation Infrastructure and Services Steering Committee
  • Partners in Mobility Steering Committee, North Central Texas Council of Governments
  • Coalition for Better Transportation
  • Regional Transit Initiative Committee
  • Texas Transportation Institute (TTI) Advisory Council
