Jean has been in the business since the 80s, starting in theater and clubs. He was able to work under the tutelage of his very first mentor, Jacques Tanguay. It was with Jacques that he learned all aspects of fixing, hauling, hanging, and designing lighting. Life began to change when Jean was invited to work at a major club in the Czech republic, where he lived for 2 years. It was there, he became acquainted with the folks at High End Systems, due to his use of Intellabeams at the club. On an invitation from co-founder, Richard Belliveau, he visited High End and was hired on the spot. Since that time, Jean has gone on to work several years with High End, then starting his own business, and eventually, leveraging his global network with manufacturers, where he remains a valuable designer relations guy today.
