William Shakespeare's Sonnets were love poems - but the first 126 were about a Fair Youth and the first 17 clearly encouraging a young man to marry and father children. But who was the fair youth and do they imply that Shakespeare had a gay relationship.

I have done some research on this and looked at some sonnets from a fresh perspective. Shakespeare lived in a world where young boys and men plated women's roles in the theatre.
