I got carried away researching several different lines of my family tree at once, I felt tempted to click on a match to add an ancestor to the tree without checking the facts and yep, I did it! On many occasions too.

So I’ve compiled the top 10 mistakes that most people make when starting off their research. 

Then we can look at ways in which we can avoid making those same mistakes again.
