As the economy struggles under the weight of an unrelenting pandemic, many young people have taken to social media to set up businesses as self-starters.Similar to the creation of digitally based Uber and Airbnb in the post-2008 financial crash, these start-ups are popping up all over social media and mark a change in the way in which business is conducted. That is, using purely online and digital platforms to market and trade products and services.Moreover, the lockdown period has given rise to an increase in creativity and productivity as many people began to explore new hobbies and projects while forced to stay at home.Get Up and Grow follows the journeys of these young, budding entrepreneurs.
