In the first episode of Get Yourself A Proper Job, Simon Topping talks to top cooking comedian George Egg. 

George has done 3 sell out Edinburgh Fringe shows about food, Anarchist Cook, DIY Chef and his latest creation, Moveable Feast.  He had also appeared on This Morning, Chanel Four's "Bake Off : An Extra Slice and presented an episode of BBC Four's Food Programme. 

Here we talk about how he stated as a stand-up, including his days as a street performer in Covent Garden.  We touch on how he tours all over the world as a physical comedian, chat about the perils of being self employed and George gives some sound advice to anyone looking to make a start in the world of comedy.
