This episode and the many others coming out in February are all in service of Women in Horror. It's an initiative that encourages supporters to learn about and showcase the underrepresented work of women in the horror industry.
This week on the show hosts Anthony Derington and Danielle Million are chatting with genre legend Sandy King Carpenter. Sandy has been a staple within horror and sci-fi for decades working alongside her partner to create such film's as They Live, Village of the Damned, and Big Trouble in Little China. Sandy took a step away from the film industry and in 2012 decided to take on writing comic books under Storm King Comics. In our conversation, we get into the transition from filmmaking to comic book writing, her fingerprint on the industry, and where her company is headed in 2020.
