In Episode 12, I discuss the future of work in the United States. By 2030, half of all workers will be Gig and/or contract workers who will maintain 3.5 different work relationships per year. As the number of workers reaches 75M, companies will find it difficult to source and retain workers. Gone are the days where companies can hire workers to complete an 8hour shift. Companies must be prepared to offer micor-gig jobs that are 1-2 hours per shift. If this is the new reality, verifying work histories will become the most important process in the Sharing Economy.
