Sarah Young is an entrepreneur, a business leader, and a sought after communications advisor. From her position of Managing Partner, Atlantic Canada, at NATIONAL Public Relations, Canada’s leading PR firm, Sarah grew the team through award-winning work.

Sarah helps private and public organizations across Canada tackle complex challenges ranging from industry disruptors, the modernized workplace, gaining social license, shifting consumer attitudes, scaling business into new markets and investment attraction. With Sarah’s vision, NATIONAL has become a leading organization focused on cultivating leaders, supporting youth and newcomers, and instigating change. 

Sarah is a founder and Managing Partner of Sandpiper Ventures, the inaugural fund of the Atlantic Women's Venture Fund. Sandpiper identifies high-performing founders who traditional venture investors miss. 

Sarah currently serves as a director on the boards of the Trans Canada Trail, as well as the YMCA for Greater Halifax/Dartmouth Board of Honourary Trustees. She is also an Associate with the Creative Destruction Lab Atlantic, helping innovators transition from seed-stage to massively scalable, high-growth companies. 

Sarah has been named one of Atlantic Canada’s Top 50 CEO’s; Atlantic Canada's 25 Most Powerful Women; and Concordia University Top 50 Corporate Leaders. She was a recipient of Canada’s Top 40 Under 40™, which annually honours 40 Canadians under the age of 40 for vision, leadership, innovation, achievement and community involvement and she is also an alumnus of the Governor General’s Leadership Conference.

Sarah holds a Bachelor of Arts degree (Honours) from Mount Allison University, and a Master of Arts degree in media studies from Concordia University.
