The Biden Administration has set very ambitious targets for decarbonization in the US, a target of 100% carbon pollution free electricity by 2035 and a net zero US economy no later than 2050. The IRA is a critical driver of these goals and will enable renewables capacity to increase to over 900 GW across US markets, representing $420bn of capital expenditure. 

The big question is whether the supply chain will be able to support these lofty goals, given the heavy focus on US domestic content in the IRA.
