Dr Steven Adelsheim is the Director of the Stanford Center for Youth Mental Health and Wellbeing in the Department of Psychiatry. He has had decades of experience in the development and implementation of early detection and intervention programs for young people in school-based and primary care settings, including programs for depression, anxiety and psychosis.
Notably, Dr Adelsheim pioneered the allcove program, an innovative network of integrated youth mental health centers based off the headspace model of mental health early intervention founded in Australia. Designed with, by and for youths, allcove strives to reduce stigma, promote mental wellness, increase community connection and provide access to culturally-responsive services for young people ages 12-25.
