On Tuesday, April 24 from 3:30pm-5:00pm, the CSIS Global Health Policy Center and Friends of the Global Fight will co-host a screening of the Great Decisions Episode, "Global Health: Preventing Pandemic". The event will bring together the global health community to discuss the importance of U.S. and global leadership in efforts to end the epidemics of AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria, particularly through funding for the Global Fund and U.S. bilateral programs. The episode makes a compelling case for how global health investments, in addition to saving millions of lives and stopping deadly infectious diseases in their tracks, strengthens economies and protects the health security in the U.S. and around the world.

The screening will be followed by a panel featuring:

Ambassador Deborah Birx, U.S. Global AIDS Coordinator and U.S. Special Representative for Global Health Diplomacy

Dr. Helene Gayle, President and CEO, The Chicago Community Trust

Amanda Glassman, Chief Operating Officer and Senior Fellow, Center for Global Development

Chris Collins, President, Friends of the Global Fight Against AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria

Moderated by:

J. Stephen Morrison, Senior Vice President and Director, CSIS Global Health Policy Center

Light refreshments served starting at 3:00pm.

This event is made possible through generous support from Friends of the Global Fight Against AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria and CSIS.
