Jose Chavez’s mom instilled a warrior like ethic in him.  If warriors were constantly encouraged to quit.  And also taunted about quitting.  And also shamed for quitting.  Look this is mostly therapy.  Also, there’s the best story about his dad giving him a Nintendo.  It’s like Chicken Soup for the Soul level except instead of being “feel good” it’s more like “feel bad.”  But so good to listen to.
