Welcome to the show! This first episode is a bit on the boring side. It’s me explaining what the show is all about, why I think it’s important, and what you can get out of it. No guest on this one!

TLDR: We have so much access to free information and online learning resources that for most people, the traditional higher education route is no longer necessary. It’s expensive, you don’t have much control over what you learn, and it often leads to getting lame jobs that we don’t like.

My solution for this problem is to learn new skills through online education, and apply those skills towards getting an enjoyable job, starting a business, or mastering a new hobby.

Many people are uncomfortable with the idea of their friends and colleagues improving their lives and leveling up through non-traditional education. They may make fun of you or think you are crazy for trying to learn new things and better your life. They’re just jealous and insecure about trying new things for their own lives. Screw ‘em!

I interview people who have learned new skills in various ways which has led them to enjoyable lives. Buck the system! If it upsets you, go tell your mom!
