Listening to 'Pastor Sara' as I affectionately call her, recount her childhood ... well it is hard to listen to and believe.

The daughter of a prominent Jamaican musician, light-skinned in a time where that automatically equated to being well-off in Jamaica, a young Sara describes grappling with the reality of a father absent on musical tours and a mother in the grips of drug addiction. 

She describes those years as a 'chaotic adventure' during which she had to grow up and figure things out, assuming responsibility for her siblings and suffering abuse.
