I translate the “Joy of the LORD is my strength” to “making God happy strengthens me”. There are a lot of things that come to mind when I hear “the joy of the LORD is my strength”, I remember my mom would always sing those words to me whenever I was feeling down about life. I believe that joy for the LORD God is to see his children prosper here on earth, it’s to see us walking in his ways and in his will for our lives. Help God help you by choosing this day, to begin to walk in the ways of God, and in the ways that pleases and brings a whole lot of joy to his heart (yes, God is not a man but he has a heart… remember, we are made in his image). When a man’s ways are pleasing to the LORD, he makes even his enemies be at peace with him! Let your ways be pleasing to God because this is Joy for God, and strength for you.
