This is Gone Racing, Veson's

0:04

premier NASCAR betting podcast. Here

0:06

are your hosts, former NASCAR driver Brendan

0:08

Gone and Las Vegas Motor Speedways

0:10

and jeff Motley.

0:13

I can't, I can't with that thing. Why

0:16

it is way too excited that green flag today.

0:18

Welcome into Gone Racing, my friends. Ah,

0:21

of course I'm hanging out. Brendan Gone hanging out in the studio.

0:23

Oh now he's on. Now he's on. Oh now he's

0:25

doing it all. Calm there you go. Uh,

0:28

Brendan GNN in studio, the fabulous Vson Studio

0:30

at the south Point. Mister Jeffrey Motley is

0:32

out in nash Vegas this week,

0:34

hanging out as one of the many tracks that SMI

0:36

sends my good buddy mister Motley all around

0:38

the country too. And mister Motley, I hear we have a

0:40

better security guard today.

0:43

Oh we do.

0:43

I've got a trunk that's about fifty pounds

0:45

right behind me up against the door, and I

0:47

have the wheels locked so if somebody tries to

0:49

open it, it ain't open.

0:50

It ain't happening well, and I'm breaking our rule today.

0:53

Normally we always wear south Point for one hundred stuff, but you know,

0:55

with what just happened. I know it's a racing show, but I

0:57

gotta have a little stand, you know, VGK

0:59

Stand Cup champions on today.

1:02

I have my BGK hat with me on this trip

1:04

and the number of people that I have seen this

1:06

week it says, oh, I.

1:07

Loved your hockey team. That was fun.

1:08

I was like, oh, okay, I'm jealous.

1:11

You guys already got your stuff. I'm mine still waiting

1:13

to get processed.

1:14

No, no, no, I don't have my championship stuff. I

1:16

just have a Golden Nights at my championship stuff is still

1:18

the way?

1:18

Yeah, yeah, Brendan probably waited in line for three

1:21

hours at the Arsenal begin Is I just in

1:23

order to mine and wait for the UPS guy

1:26

to deliver it?

1:26

No, I wasn't there. The Rochelle Rice

1:28

and Nick Rice took my seats and forgive

1:31

them seats to Game five and Stanley Cup. They brought me back

1:33

a hat.

1:33

So you know, I wondered how Rochelle got

1:36

such good seats.

1:37

I saw her Facebook posts and I'm like.

1:39

Wow, Rochelle knows somebody tonight,

1:41

you.

1:41

Know, But I was I was in undera scuba

1:43

diving with my boys. So it is a great time to have

1:45

an off week for us. But let's get back to what we're

1:47

talking about, mister Motley, And of course we got

1:49

to wrap up everything that was Sonoma a

1:53

little bit of a I'm

1:55

not going to call it a snooze fest, just a I

1:58

like, look, I love road racing, right so I

2:00

love road racing. Just didn't have a lot

2:02

of strategy plays, didn't have a lot of the stuff.

2:04

Had a massive mistake by old Denny Hamlin.

2:08

Listening to everybody talk about it, I am kind of chuckling

2:11

hitting the driver's left wall before the start

2:13

finish line, which, Jeff,

2:17

We've been doing this a long time. I don't remember anybody

2:19

ever hitting that with it not having like be pissed

2:22

into it or something breaking or was kind.

2:24

Of I certainly haven't seen it. In the cup brace, we

2:26

might have had an arca guy or two, you.

2:27

Know, come

2:29

on, that doesn't count. We've had them, you know.

2:32

Last year in the truck race, we had two

2:34

guys go head on into the wall and turn one

2:37

after the start finn of sign and that was a hard hit.

2:39

Fact.

2:39

We had to stop the race and get the wall picks, but I've

2:41

never seen a guy misjudge turned

2:44

twelve and scraped the inside wall like that.

2:46

Before without help. And that pissed me

2:48

off because I had Danny to win, of course win my group,

2:50

and so Danny finishing dead last on the

2:52

field, that was not a good thing for me, thinking.

2:55

There's there's something funny that you actually

2:57

picking Denny to win and.

3:00

I pick him and I never pick him when I pick him,

3:02

and then he finished his death. Now doesn't just

3:04

finish finishes dfl on

3:06

the field, Like come on, you gotta be killing killing

3:09

me, kidding me. But who did win

3:11

the race was our good buddy Martin Trurex Junior.

3:14

Martin dominated the show. I mean absolutely

3:16

did what what Martin Truex Junior was doing. A couple

3:18

of years ago at road races, led fifty

3:21

one of the of the one hundred

3:23

and ten laps. He was thirty to one

3:25

to win. We talked about that, thirty

3:27

to one to win, and we talked about

3:29

it like, man, should we

3:31

bet this? But I think

3:33

that first of all, that's a former

3:35

sprint NASCAR Cup champion

3:38

at a road course where he dominated road courses

3:41

three years ago, four years something

3:43

like that, got right before pandemic ish

3:45

and he was thirty to one plus

3:47

eight point fifty for a top three, almost

3:49

double digit top three, two seventy

3:52

five and three hundred for Toyota Group each

3:54

seventy five, Toyota three hundred, thirty

3:56

to one. Jeh, talk about no respect,

3:58

I mean Rodney Dangerfield right here and

4:01

just putting it on them.

4:03

Well, you started in their respect thing with him. You

4:05

said he was going to be the most disappointing driver this

4:07

year.

4:08

But I'll tell you he's back. He really

4:10

is.

4:10

And you know, the last ten laps of the

4:12

race, I'm standing in victory Lane and the victory

4:15

lane we have at Sonoma, now it's not like

4:17

probably what you remember. We actually set it up on

4:19

the drag strip right across from the start finish

4:21

line, so you can watch those cars

4:23

come down the hill through the s's

4:26

and I mean watching trueex come through

4:28

the SS's.

4:29

It was literally like his car was

4:31

on a rail.

4:32

He was so smooth, same

4:34

line every time, never bobbled. Nobody

4:36

else came down through the s's except for maybe Kyle

4:38

Busch, anywhere close to the way

4:40

that Martin.

4:41

Was coming down through those s's.

4:42

And I'm just sitting there watching that car, and I'm thinking, if

4:44

something crazy doesn't happen, there's no way

4:46

he's not winning this race.

4:47

Well, I mean, thirty to one, and this is his fourth

4:50

win at Sonoma, fourth

4:52

win he won it twenty thirteen,

4:54

twenty eighteen, twenty nineteen, and then

4:57

this one, of course, fourth win, second

4:59

win the season. Not for a four times Soma.

5:02

That's four wins and ten races. I mean that's

5:05

can.

5:05

Can the picker get a mulligan on their pick from

5:08

a mullet?

5:09

Oh?

5:09

What do we just just just go ahead and repicked?

5:11

Now, I'm so I'm so disappointed. I was looking

5:13

at I'm like, dang, TRUEX is thirty to one

5:15

and he's Actually I'm sick

5:17

about that one.

5:18

That was That was a dude, thirty to one. I mean we talked

5:20

about it, we all. I mean, I gave you stats on him

5:22

last time. I mean, he was great at We've said how great he

5:24

was at Sonoma. It's just you know, thirty

5:27

to one, and yeah, I hope somebody

5:29

jumped on that in a big way and was

5:31

able to win on that because we did not jump

5:34

on it here. We just talked about it one

5:37

little thing. We all were high on Tyler Reddick. Of course,

5:39

right, Tyler was one of the toilers that we thought might

5:41

win the race. Had an

5:43

interesting little penalty there, Jeff, And let's

5:46

start off by saying, Tyler did the right thing,

5:49

so for the the.

5:50

Right thing, And I still don't think he should have been

5:52

penalized.

5:53

He didn't really short course like he didn't.

5:55

He shortn't cut the course a long course, yes,

5:57

a long course. He did a quarter or twice.

6:00

He never got to the start finish line.

6:02

So to me, the fact he never got to the

6:04

start finish line and he cut through the opening

6:07

their turn eleven to go get into the pits,

6:10

I just don't understand why.

6:12

Listen, I listened to NASCAR's NASCAR's

6:14

h explanation.

6:17

Now they said one thing, right, the rule is

6:19

you can't do that, so okay, period,

6:22

you can't just cut the island back across the

6:24

island get to pit Road. That is shortcutting

6:27

to get back to pitt Road, which

6:29

which is that's the.

6:30

Whole thing, because once you missed the opening

6:32

the pit rocks and every other racetrack,

6:34

you're gonna have.

6:35

To go all the way around.

6:36

You don't get to turn around and drive backwards down

6:38

pit Road without getting a penalty.

6:40

So I understand that, but it didn't.

6:41

Short course the course. It wasn't like we're

6:43

thinking, like, you know, he was able to gain a lap

6:45

on the field or anything.

6:47

And there was the explanation Ruiz

6:49

and the Boston Marathon.

6:51

Yeah, yeah, And their explanation

6:53

though, is that he get you know, he gained all this and I'm like,

6:55

oh, he didn't gain anything. The

6:57

rule is you can't just blow by it and make

7:00

it round. But it was a brilliant move on his part

7:02

to at least salvage his race car, not

7:04

destroy it, to at least get back to Pitt Road,

7:06

not destroy, not piss off the whole field

7:08

and leave debris everywhere. And then these things with

7:10

the way they are no caution and the way

7:12

they are, he'll get stuck somewhere, you know, or it won't

7:14

be able to keep driving. So great job

7:16

on him to turn around and come back. But

7:20

you know, it just it was one of those amusing parts

7:22

to us that we're like, that was a great move, but he

7:24

got a penalty for it.

7:26

Poor Wyatt is sitting there saying, who the heck

7:29

is Rosy?

7:29

Ruiz I

7:32

know that one the lady thatated the boss. I

7:34

know this is that Earl

7:36

ross nugget.

7:37

It's not pretty close, pretty close that he knew

7:39

the name off the top of his head like that pretty Earl Rossian.

7:41

You know, it's amazing that woman is synonymous

7:44

with cheating on a race course.

7:47

So let's get to the rest of the top ten. Kyle

7:50

Busch was second at a plus two seventy five.

7:52

Joey Logano once again another

7:54

one that we kind of said, Joey Logano

7:56

plus nine hundred for a top three. Pretty

7:59

big number there. Chris Buscher another

8:01

road course run. We talked about Chris

8:03

Buscher a lot on the show. There he is

8:05

with another top ten, the Dinger with a good

8:07

run, Chase Elliott. We talked, wasn't good all day,

8:10

just did pitt strategy got there, the Dinger Michael

8:12

mcdowalls, still showing his road course chops.

8:14

And then there's a good all day, yepod all day

8:16

Michael Bande it was so and then there's the

8:18

there's the perennials, Kyle Larson, Chrispherbell,

8:21

Ross Chast ten eight nine ten. Not were they accustomed

8:23

running, but eight nine ten, So that

8:25

was that kind of puts a little bow on Sonoma

8:28

little one big piece of news we need to

8:30

at least get to, you know, just real quick,

8:33

Jeff uh not not

8:35

a shocker. Most news in NASCAR, of courses

8:38

is the worst kept secrets in

8:40

the world. But Josh Berry officially

8:42

replacing Kevin Harvick next year at

8:44

Stuart Haas Racing. Big

8:47

loss to me. For the for the Hendrick camp, for the

8:49

Chevrolet camp. Josh has done a pretty darn

8:51

good job, even though we got to start late

8:53

in his career. Dale Junior really

8:55

did a nice job of mentoring him. And And

8:58

if I know Dale, he's not mad that he's leaving. He's he's

9:00

happy he's getting a great opportunity.

9:02

Oh, I think you're exactly right. I mean, I don't think there's any question

9:04

about that. And I think, you know, I think what's going to

9:06

be interesting going forward. You know, he's been like

9:09

the perennial fill in guy for Chase Elliot,

9:11

for Alex Bowman. So if we have

9:13

a Hendrick driver get hurt the rest of the year,

9:15

now that we know he's going to the Ford camp,

9:18

I'm gonna say he's not the fill in driver.

9:20

Well, you already had Coury Lajoy. Remember they already put

9:22

Corey la Joy in for Alex Bowman the one week, so

9:25

we already know that that they already knew

9:27

this was coming, so they had already pushed him back as the

9:29

filling gay.

9:30

But that situation was a little different because

9:32

Josh Berry was running the Exfinity car in Portland

9:34

that weekend, so he really didn't have an opportunity.

9:37

He couldn't run the Cup guard in Saint Louis,

9:39

so a little bit different there. So, but no great

9:41

for him, and it gets to keep Rodney Childers as

9:43

his crew chief, which I think will be huge to

9:45

have. I mean, I'm not saying he's a young driver,

9:47

but look, the Cup Series is still relatively

9:49

new to him. To have a veteran crew chief like Rodney

9:52

Childers come in can only be a positive.

9:54

Nope, Let's get to our season standings real quick,

9:56

and my seventeen race winner

9:59

theory is it's it's

10:01

looking more difficult but not impossible.

10:03

So far we're at ten winners with

10:05

still with still what was this one?

10:07

We still got nine races

10:10

to go, so or ten races to go,

10:12

so we still got some We still had a shot, but we're

10:14

going to need some stuff. William Byron, still

10:16

your your playoff standings leader, Kyle

10:19

Busch right there. But that cut line,

10:21

man, Jeff, we keep talking about it. That

10:23

cut line is awfully,

10:25

awfully tight. Man. It is going to be

10:28

so much fun for us as fans.

10:30

It's going to be so much fun watching this cut line

10:32

come into play as the season winds down.

10:35

Yeah, you're right.

10:35

And here's a guy, Alex Bowman who missed those races.

10:38

He's up there and true X I think went from

10:40

sixth in the actual point standings

10:42

to first in points just by

10:44

winning at Sonoma.

10:45

Just shows how tight it is at the top right.

10:47

Now, yep. And then let's talk

10:49

about our little upcoming schedule. Right here. We got, of course,

10:51

we're you're in nash Vegas, Nashville this weekend.

10:53

We got the Chicago the Big Street

10:55

Course race. Going to be a lot of fun watching them

10:57

go around the streets of Chicago. I hope there's

10:59

many he has many Blues Brothers references

11:01

as they do it. Quaker State four

11:03

hundred in Atlanta. After that, then Loud New

11:06

Hampshire for the We already discussed the crayon

11:08

at three oh one, not the c yes,

11:12

and then of course Pocono for the Pocono four hundred,

11:15

one of my old favorite courses with with of course the

11:17

Battioli's and the Rose family that are such great people

11:19

up there.

11:19

I'm excited to see what next week brings. When

11:22

we get to that street course in Chicago.

11:24

It's going to be interesting, going to be different.

11:26

We'll see what happens.

11:28

So when we come back, we'll talk all things. Nashville Super

11:30

Speedway, the one point three mile concrete

11:32

oval, which tough on tires,

11:35

tough on drivers. It's it's a fun

11:37

place. I used to love racing there in the truck, so I'm excited the

11:39

cups guys are there and we'll get you the odds

11:41

to win when we return.

12:04

This is Gone Racing, FISA's

12:06

premier NASCAR Betty Podcast. You're

12:09

your hosts former NASCAR driver Brendan

12:11

Gone and Las Vegas Motor Speedways

12:13

Jeff Motley.

12:15

It's the green flag is back in the air after

12:17

the yellow flag. Of course, when we go to break Brendang

12:20

Gone hanging out in studio, mister Motley hanging out in

12:23

Nashville, and we are talking Nashville. Getting

12:25

ready to talk about the race here at Nashville.

12:27

The track itself is a one point three mile. We

12:29

used to call it one on a quarter, so it's one in a third. Actually

12:33

it's a concrete oval, which is unique

12:35

in our sport race of course, Sunday afternoon,

12:38

seven pm Eastern time. Chase Elliott,

12:40

your winner last year, and Jeff this track

12:43

it has no equal. Honestly,

12:45

it's Dover is the only place that I

12:47

would say a little bit because the amount

12:49

of grip the Goodyear tires have going

12:52

into the corner with the concrete. It's amazing

12:54

how much grip this place has. But there's no mile and a

12:56

half, no gateway, no Phoenix.

12:58

You know, there's no banking there. Nashville's got a bunch of banking

13:01

concrete and you absolutely

13:03

rail this place. It is phenomenal

13:05

to drive.

13:06

Yeah, but it's not banking like Dover either

13:08

though. No, it's kind of like I

13:10

mean, you're right, it's very unique.

13:13

I mean you can probably find elements of about

13:15

five or six different racetracks on the circuit

13:17

that we race on here. The concrete, like you said,

13:19

very similar to Dover. The one

13:22

point three very similar to a Gateway

13:24

or a Darlington, but the actual layout,

13:27

it's kind of shaped like a Charlotte, a Texas

13:29

so or even a Vegas or

13:31

a Kansas, So just a little different, different

13:33

linked and distance there. So yeah,

13:36

I think you can put a lot of elements of a lot of different racetracks

13:38

into this.

13:39

Yeah.

13:39

That concrete though, makes it where it's just its

13:41

own animal. It's so much fun to race there.

13:44

You know.

13:44

Last year, of course, Chase Elliott was your winner, so

13:46

maybe this is the week we talk about Chase getting off

13:48

the schnide of the

13:51

winds. And Kirk Busch was second place,

13:53

not Kyle Busch, so we

13:55

definitely don't have that Bush brother. And we were doing some

13:57

stats during the break Jeff and Bush

14:00

one of the best at Nashville. Kyle

14:03

Busch so far, his dats

14:05

don't look very good, but I think that that

14:07

may change with old ARCR.

14:09

Yeah, I was gonna say I went underestimate

14:11

Kyle Busch in this race. I think he's certainly going

14:13

to be one of the guys to beat coming into

14:15

this thing.

14:16

So he's a guy.

14:17

I think we start looking at the odds, we probably might

14:19

see a decent number on him and boy,

14:22

he might be hard to pass up.

14:24

So let's get into the odds to win this race and

14:27

we will start off with our favorite right now is

14:29

Kyle Larson. I mean that doesn't surprise

14:31

anybody. I think, no shocker there, Kyle Larson

14:34

is your favorite to win plus five

14:36

fifty, Martin Truex Junior, Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin

14:38

all seven fifties, William

14:40

Byron, Chase Elliott eight fifties, Ryan

14:42

Blaney nine hundred, then double digits, Ross

14:44

chaste In eleven to one, Christopher Bell twelve,

14:47

Tyler Redick, Joey Logano sixteen, Kevin

14:49

Harvick eighteen, Bubba Wallace twenty two,

14:52

Alex Bowman thirty and Brad Keselowski

14:54

thirty five, Ty Gibbs ending out the front page

14:56

forty five to one. Jeff, there is a stat

14:58

though about Kyle about

15:01

the winner of this race of

15:04

Nashville, Chase Elliott. Chase

15:07

Elliott, if you remember the first year of it, he

15:12

actually won the race and was disqualified

15:16

so he finished I don't know

15:18

if you remember what he was

15:21

running at the end. He ended up finishing thirty

15:23

ninth. They did give him a penalty

15:25

post race, so Chase

15:28

Elliott pretty darn good. You

15:30

know, I've been on that Chase elli bandwagon saying, you know Chase

15:33

is going to win again. You know that he's going to get

15:35

a w before the playoffs start. This

15:37

to me at eight point fifty, I think I may

15:39

have to take a shot on a race winner, and it may have

15:41

to be Chase Elliott.

15:42

Well, you're right, two checker flags at Nashville,

15:45

and Chase Elliott has taken both checker

15:47

flags. That's certainly something worth looking

15:49

at. It just seems this year we haven't seen

15:51

the same Chase Elliott. I mean, I know we had the injury,

15:53

but even before the injury,

15:56

I'm not sure that we were seeing the same Chase

15:58

Elliott.

15:58

Yet this year.

15:59

So I think it's probably a fair number

16:01

on him to put him at plus eight fifty.

16:03

You know, one thing we also didn't mention.

16:04

It's different about this race this year, the

16:06

first time it's going to be run at night. This was a

16:08

day race the last couple of years, so they

16:11

moved it tonight NBC once at in prime

16:13

time for their first race of the year. So I

16:15

think that's probably gonna be a little bit of a factor too.

16:17

For these teams, you know, so

16:20

he just toreer. He

16:22

actually didn't win the race. He finished thirteenth, but

16:24

he was leading the race, and he had five loose lug

16:27

nuts, which is why they penalized him

16:29

all the way.

16:30

Oh that's right, Yeah, that's right.

16:31

He had the lead, he won stage one,

16:34

led he was leading the most laps, or

16:36

Larson was leading, but he led the second most laps, was

16:38

right up there in the end, and then had the loose

16:40

lug nuts and aided back and that was what

16:43

it was. So but eight

16:45

to fifty for Chase Elliott. That's I like

16:47

that. And look, Kevin Harvick, I'm looking.

16:49

I'm digging into the stats here. Kevin Harvick, you

16:52

know, just announced his retirement. Raced

16:54

here, you know, in Infinity back in the day,

16:56

got some laps here, average, finished seven point five in

16:58

the two races, got one of one

17:01

top five, two top tens in the two races. Here

17:03

that eighteen to one. Could we see

17:05

these huge numbers off of former

17:07

Cup Series champions two weeks in a row.

17:10

Well, I think that's possible.

17:11

And I think another guy sitting there is Joey Logano

17:14

at sixteen to one. I mean, look, These are

17:16

the kind of tracks that you just expect Joey Logano

17:18

to be there at the end. Now, I know, sometimes he's

17:20

either been out to lunch or he's been.

17:23

You know, feasting on everybody else.

17:24

But Joey Logano sixteen to one,

17:27

I think is another former champion that's

17:29

worth taking a look at.

17:30

Let's get to the second page of the odds here real quick,

17:32

and we lead off with with still a conundrum

17:34

for me. Daniel Suarez is fifty five to one.

17:37

Then huge drop off after Daniel, Ryan

17:39

Prees, Ricky Stenhouse Junior, Chris Buscher

17:42

all ninety to one. How about this for some

17:44

guys, Chase Brisco, Austin Dillon,

17:46

Eric Alamarola one hundreds, and then

17:49

Eric Jones and Austin Cindric one fifty.

17:51

Austin Sindric finished seventh in

17:53

this race last year. Kind

17:55

of surprised they have him that far of a long

17:57

shot. I mean, I can say

18:00

that he's that far off.

18:02

Well, I think part of it is, you know what

18:05

we talk about, the what have you done for me lately? Yeah,

18:07

Cindric hasn't really been very good this year, And I

18:09

told you, if you look at last year's top ten. You look

18:11

at the top ten the year before that, we haven't

18:13

really seen a lot of upset names. Like I said,

18:16

Cindric finishing seventh was probably the only name

18:18

in the top ten that might have surprised.

18:20

You a little bit last year.

18:21

But again, last year he had already won the Daytona

18:23

five hundred, you know, so he had a little

18:25

bit more momentum last year. So I just think

18:27

Nashville is one of those racetracks that we just

18:30

don't see a big upset come out

18:32

of the blue and have a good run.

18:34

Now, Daniel Suarez, he finished,

18:36

he finished first year, you know, had a lot

18:38

of experience in trucks and Exfinity. Here finished

18:41

seventh, and then if you look at at how

18:43

he did last year, fifteenth, I don't know, fifty

18:45

five to one. I just there's something about trackhouse

18:48

is running so good, and he's just

18:50

running so middle of the road. I don't understand

18:52

what the Denis war is a great race car driver.

18:55

I'm not sure what's going on right there.

18:56

Well, and honestly, I think maybe the last three

18:58

or four weeks he's probably been a little bit better

19:01

than Chastain.

19:02

I mean, I think with the whole, right, if you take

19:04

the whole season as a whole.

19:05

Yeah, Chastayin's having a better year, clearly,

19:07

you look at the points, you look where he is, but

19:10

neither one of them have been to Victory Lane.

19:11

I just feel like Daniel's getting a little bit better right

19:13

now.

19:14

I do too, And that's that's fifty five. One

19:16

might talk about him a little more when we do top threes, and let's get

19:18

into those. Kyle Larson is your favorite,

19:20

of course, his top three plus one fifty five on DraftKings,

19:23

Martin Schurex Junior, Kyle Bush, Deny Hamlin are all

19:25

plus two hundred. William Byron, Chase

19:27

Elliot are two forty's, Ryan Blaney two fifty,

19:29

Ross Chastain three hundred, Christopher Bell

19:32

is there at four hundred, Tyler Reddick, Joey Logano

19:34

four fifties, Kevin Harvick five fifty,

19:36

Bubba Wallace six hundred, and then double digit start

19:38

with Alex Bowman, Brad Kay and Ty Gibbs

19:41

all at ten to one.

19:45

You know, there's one guy we haven't talked about,

19:47

Brendan and I know he doesn't necessarily have

19:49

the greatest numbers at Nashville,

19:52

but the guy's been really good all year. And that's William

19:54

Byron. We talked about him

19:56

to.

19:57

Win, we had and we had top three a plus two.

19:59

Forty Byron is there

20:01

every week on these these similar type

20:03

layout racetracks.

20:04

Well, and he's got a third and then a thirty fifth. His

20:07

thirty fifth was and let's see, let me

20:09

check with that.

20:09

I guarantee he wasn't the thirty fifth fastest

20:12

car on the racetrack.

20:12

No, No, that's why I'm I'm going back to

20:14

see what it says. Yeah,

20:17

he was forty laps down, so he had something happened.

20:19

Doesn't say what, but he was forty laps

20:21

down. And but he was top ten the year before,

20:24

So I like that. And how about Alex Bowman way down

20:26

there at ten to one. I mean, look Bowman,

20:28

all these Hendrick cars at this type of place, they

20:30

do run pretty darn well. So I can't

20:32

say I dislike that right there.

20:35

No, I mean I think any of those guys and look,

20:38

we've also seen a great resurgence

20:40

over the you know, this year in the Ralsh

20:42

Finway cars. So even a Brad Kesilowski

20:44

or a Chris Busher, both of those guys are

20:46

capable of clicking off a top three any

20:48

week.

20:49

Let's get to the second page real quick, and we got Daniel

20:51

Suarez twelve to one. There's my number

20:53

that I was looking at for there. That's a hell of a number

20:55

for a top three, and I think Suarez could

20:57

possibly do that here. Then you got a big drop

20:59

off, Ryan Priest, Ricky Standhouse Junior, Chris

21:02

Buscher, Chase Prisco, Austin Dyllon, Eric

21:04

Almolla all twenty two to one, Eric Jones,

21:06

and Austin Cindric forty to one, Dinger

21:09

fifty five. You know Eric almrola

21:13

fourth place fist, Yeah, fourth place

21:15

Alola.

21:16

You like al Morola better than Buscher for a

21:18

top three because I think Buscher twenty two to one is

21:20

worth taking a look at as well.

21:22

I do. I'm just looking at stats of

21:24

what they've done the last two years. Eric

21:26

al Morola has been pretty stout the

21:28

last two years. Here, He's not terrible. I

21:30

mean he has a top ten with a fourth or top

21:32

five with a fourth place finish average

21:35

finished ten and a half. That's not a

21:37

bad number for him

21:39

on a top three number way down there. If

21:41

you want to take that flyer at twenty two

21:43

to one. I'm betting you if you find

21:46

go to DraftKings, find a top ten number, he's still probably

21:48

got a double digit top ten even, you know, maybe

21:50

eight fifty or something like that. So that's

21:52

a I like that Eric Almarrola, at least for

21:54

a top ten if you can find it.

21:56

Hey, you know the other wild card in there to me because

21:58

he always does it once or twice a

22:00

year, Justin Haley and

22:03

he throws that hail Mary and he ends up getting

22:05

the top three. He did it twice last year.

22:08

I mean, Justin Haley's eighty to one.

22:10

And I don't know why.

22:11

This just seemed like one of those kind of tracks where just

22:13

wouldn't shock me to see a guy like him pop up

22:15

around the top five before the race is over.

22:17

Well, and in the name we blew over pretty quickly. Was

22:19

Tyler Reddick twice? I mean Tyler Redick to win

22:22

or as a top three, as a top three, Tyler's

22:24

four to fifty. I mean that's

22:26

a Tyler Redick is pretty stout every

22:28

place we kind of go. This kind of fits in his wheelhouse.

22:31

No, you're exactly right. I mean I would

22:33

not sell him short at all.

22:35

I mean, there's some numbers here for the top threes.

22:37

It's going to be difficult for me. In the top threes. I

22:39

have to focus on the head to head battles because

22:41

I've been whooping y'alls butt this year basically

22:44

because it had to heads. So we'll get to those as we

22:46

come back in the next segment.

23:05

This is Gone Racing, Vison's

23:07

23:41

23:43

Gawn. Uh, yeah,

23:45

there it is. There's my black flag. Uh,

23:49

welcome back in.

23:50

Like I said, this is the best thing that we've bought

23:52

at Vison.

23:53

I have so much fun with these black like black flig

23:55

I got. I got a black flag before we went to the break

23:57

because why Ittt was saying that it was very uncalled

23:59

for that. I took a dig on how bad I've been kicking you all

24:01

his butt this year in the series, in the gone

24:04

race and betting pool. And then I got

24:06

the black flag because I did not have the read right in

24:08

front of me ready to go. So karma double

24:10

black flags. That's the black flag with white stripe.

24:12

They're parking me a lot.

24:14

But Brendan, I'm gonna I'm actually gonna get.

24:16

Defend you here. I think if you're kicking

24:18

everybody's butt, then it's up up

24:20

to us to get more races. Right, So, I

24:23

like, I don't ever have a problem with somebody runs

24:25

up the score. To me, it's your it's

24:27

the other team's job to stop them. So no,

24:30

look, I say, look, you're kicking our butt.

24:32

We kicked your butt last year. We gave you so much

24:34

grief last year. I mean, the freaking pit

24:36

crew even created their own comic strip

24:39

after he did so.

24:41

It was entertainment.

24:43

Are you are you telling me that it was that not

24:45

talk team?

24:46

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

24:47

No, it was it was basking in the glory

24:50

of how well we did last year. You

24:53

know, you know, I blame I blame Harrison

24:55

burn Phoenix for bringing out that caution because

24:57

we had Kevin Harvick. He was gonna win the race, you know,

25:00

Sony, Harrison, Domyerson.

25:02

They thought they were like Ronda Rowsey, John

25:05

Cena and Paul Cougan.

25:06

Oh, that's right, and we noticed we haven't seen

25:08

that in weeks weeks.

25:10

Oh and the last one we had had

25:12

had bandages of.

25:13

Don't know, we got time, we got we got like twenty

25:16

races left.

25:16

Okay, maybe ish ish

25:19

that's a technical term, by the way. All right, let's

25:21

get to our head to heads, and we start

25:23

off there. There's there are a couple head to heads here

25:25

that first of all, I really really

25:27

look at, like, uh, this is the of course

25:29

from the west Gate is where we get our head to head matchups.

25:32

And Jeff, right off the bat, I understand

25:34

it's against our race favorite, Kyle Larson. You're

25:36

telling me Kyle Busch in a head to head

25:39

matchup is getting one thirty

25:41

five to Kyle Larson and getting

25:43

one fifteen to William Byron.

25:46

Those two just leap out the page at me.

25:48

Kyle Busch with that big of a number

25:50

and a head to head, well, like.

25:52

Kyle Larson has been so beast or famine.

25:55

He either wins or somebody crashes

25:57

him out of the race, or he crashes himself

25:59

out of it. So no, I like that one.

26:01

I think that number is the Kyle Busch one is the one

26:03

I think I really like the most compared

26:06

those. But yeah, plus one thirty five, that's a pretty

26:08

big number.

26:10

The other one I look at is maybe

26:13

I'm going with my heart here a little bit.

26:15

But what has happened to Wyatt by the way, I mean

26:17

see I'm looking at him on my screen, and I

26:19

mean literally.

26:20

We'll tell you the break what happened he's

26:23

looking at that. Yeah, let's just keep going

26:25

with the head heads right now.

26:27

We at least

26:29

there's not an imposter standing behind me like

26:32

last week.

26:32

No, No, this one's pretty good. Kevin

26:35

Harvick is plus one ten. I'm looking

26:37

at stats, you

26:39

know, bubble or Ryan

26:42

Blaney has one bad race

26:44

because he had an accident in last

26:46

year's race. He was really

26:48

good the year before, third third, third in the stages,

26:51

third in the race led no lapse. Harvick

26:54

has been good both years here. I

26:57

don't know if I'm going head or heart, but plus one ten

27:00

in a head to head matchup with Kevin Harvick

27:02

against Ryan Blaney, I kind of like that

27:04

too.

27:06

I think you're reading the wrong Ryan Blaney line.

27:08

Though I love the plus one fifteen

27:10

against Danny Hamblin. I really

27:12

do like that one because you talked about how well Blaney

27:14

has run there.

27:16

Look, we know Danny is another kind of.

27:17

A feast or famine guy, and I

27:20

just think Blaney he looks like he's running

27:22

better. You know, he's got to win under his belt now. I

27:24

think that's probably giving him a little bit of confidence. I

27:26

like Ryan Blaney at the plus one fifteen against

27:28

Denny more than I do Kevin against

27:31

Ryan Blaney.

27:31

I can't argue that. I can't argue that. I think I'm doing

27:33

a little bit of heart right there with

27:36

with with the announcement

27:38

that just came out with Harvick and all that stuff, and so

27:40

maybe maybe I'm reading into that too much. But the

27:42

two Kyle busches, I do like both

27:44

of those, and those those are pretty

27:46

darn good looking to me. I think I'm going to have to jump

27:48

on at least one of those. Let's get into

27:50

our group matchups and Motley. There's

27:53

some fun numbers in the groups this week. There are

27:55

some really big odds and

27:57

some interesting names around

28:00

on the groups here. Let's

28:02

start with Group A. Kyle Larson your favorite two forty,

28:04

William Byron two sixty five, Martin Truex

28:06

Junior two ninety and Chase Elliott two ninety five.

28:08

That would be Chase Elliott, last year's winner

28:10

of this race the year before, the guy that

28:13

led the second most laps in this race at

28:15

two ninety five. In Group A.

28:19

Yeah, I don't really like Group

28:21

A.

28:22

Look you say, Okay, Larson

28:24

and Byron have been the two best drivers all year long,

28:27

true X with a tremendous amount of confidence,

28:29

Chase Elliott the defending winner of

28:31

this race. I mean, you can make a case

28:33

for all four of those guys so much. I just think

28:35

this one's a hard one to handicap. I mean, if

28:38

you're looking for the long shots, maybe it's Elliott

28:40

and Truex. But I'm just telling you, I don't

28:42

think this is the same Chase Elliott this year that we've

28:44

seen over the last few years. True

28:47

X is the one that might be able to surprise somebody

28:49

and actually come out of this group. If you're looking

28:51

for a long shot. But I'm kind of feeling staying

28:54

away from it.

28:54

Well, let me give you a note stat about Truex. I said, the only

28:56

track to me that this kind of relates to is

28:58

Dover right the Concrete Monster.

29:00

Yess oh, one of his home one of his hometown tracks.

29:03

Nashville is one of his home run tracks. Come on, it's still it's

29:05

still east of the Colorado River. So

29:08

so Martin Truex Junior. Remember

29:10

one Dover, I

29:13

mean had a hell of a race at Dover too. So

29:16

remember that was the weekend of the trucks. Is Ryan

29:18

got his first win, Martin got, you know, back

29:20

off the snide. So to ninety.

29:22

I like the two bottom guys that are, like I said, Larson.

29:25

We know Larsen is always fast and then either he

29:27

wins or he ends up, you know, getting wrecked

29:29

out by Ross Chastain and finished in thirty fifth.

29:31

So to ninety. I

29:34

kind of like that a lot. I don't like those two

29:36

dogs in group A.

29:38

I think if I'm gonna go anybody, I would go through

29:41

X if I'm looking to try to get some value there.

29:43

I do like that one got Let's

29:45

go into group B and you got the guy you just talked about Denny

29:47

Hamlin at plus two sixty, Kyle Busch two

29:49

sixty five, Christopher Bell and Ross

29:51

Shastain in two eighties. This one to

29:53

me, I mean Ross Schastain

29:56

second and second in the two races, and

29:58

he's the dog. Now. He has

30:00

not been running as well since he had the little talk with his

30:02

team owner and everybody you know,

30:04

kind of did that whole thing. But let's go back to the Dover

30:06

thing. Guess who finished second at Dover lead ninety eight laps

30:08

and was chasing down you know, Martin TRUCKX Junior

30:11

at the end of that race. That was Ross Schastain.

30:14

It was I tell you, I'm just liking

30:17

Kyle Busch here. I just think this year

30:19

Kyle is so much better. I think this is

30:21

a racetrack that really really suits him.

30:23

He runs well in these kind of race tracks, and

30:26

I just think he is in a much better position

30:28

this year than he has been the last couple of years.

30:30

I'm really going to kind of throw out his history

30:32

here in the cup car.

30:33

I mean, yeah, he's a guy that look, he

30:35

can race anything.

30:36

We know he's good and I just

30:38

like the fact that you can even get him and he's not

30:40

the favorite in this group.

30:42

That's a good point. He's not the favorites two sixty five,

30:44

which is a good number. And

30:47

we're leaving Sea Bell out of this whole argument. See

30:49

Bell not a slouch here either. I mean, we

30:51

should at least give a little bit of, you know, two top

30:53

tens for Christopher Bell at this place. So I

30:56

just this is the group to me that I

30:58

look at Ross Chastean though a man,

31:00

he's finished second second and the other track I think

31:03

is like this one second and

31:05

he's the dog. I mean, I'm getting the best number in there

31:07

at two eighty.

31:10

Uh yeah, I like Bell too.

31:12

I mean, look, this is a tough group, it really is.

31:14

I just I'm feeling partial to Kyle Busch in

31:16

this group. But it's look, and you mentioned it before

31:19

we even started talking about these groups. We've got

31:21

some interesting numbers, we got some tough matchups

31:23

in the groups.

31:24

This week.

31:24

It's gonna be exciting to watch how the group's unfold during

31:27

the course of the race.

31:27

On Sunday, Let's get to Group C and

31:29

Group C kicks off with Ryan Blaney is your

31:32

huge favorite at two twenty five, Tyler

31:34

Reddick two fifty, Kevin Harvick two eighty,

31:37

and then Bubba Wallace three fifty five. Blaney

31:40

is is the favorite for a

31:42

reason, right, I mean we I've

31:45

talked about it a minute ago, him versus Kevin

31:47

Harvick. But the

31:50

only wildcard here to me is Tyler Reddick. What

31:52

Tyler Reddick's going to do has not had

31:54

good races here in his In his

31:57

two races here average finish of eighteen. But

31:59

I think that's kind of an anomaly for Tyler Reddick.

32:01

He normally is really good at this place or

32:04

a place is like this. He he's

32:06

the type of guy like Kyle Larson, likes these things.

32:09

Kevin Harvick to me at two eighty or

32:11

Ryan Blaney, I think that's two man horse race. Then

32:13

why would I pick the head to head? Why don't I just pick here

32:16

and get a better return on either one of the guys.

32:19

Yeah, I think that's a fair point. You know, I really

32:21

like Blainey here. I

32:23

just think This is a this is a group that sets up well

32:25

for him. I know he's the favorite. No big surprise there,

32:28

boy, that plus three fifty five on Bubba,

32:30

and knowing how well Bubba has run this year

32:33

on the one point five mile tracks, this

32:35

is a little smaller at one point three, but again

32:37

it's got some similarities and you know, it's got

32:39

a little similarity to Kansas, just a little

32:41

bit shorter track, and we know how good he's been there.

32:43

So that plus three to fifty five on Bubba

32:46

is intriguing just because he's

32:48

been so much better this year on these type race tracks.

32:50

But I like Blainey.

32:51

Yeah, I'm just looking back at Dover and then the two races

32:54

here, Bubba has been kind of not

32:56

been his type of for tail. Let's just say he's

32:59

doing better this year.

33:00

He is.

33:01

Let's get the Group D real quick, and Group D kicks off

33:03

with a huge favorite of Joey Lecano one fifty

33:06

five, Alex Bowman two seventy five,

33:08

Brad Keselowski three eighty, and Daniel

33:10

Suarez three eighty. That's enticement

33:12

right there, Jeff, Well, it

33:15

is, and I.

33:15

Think the one after any of the bottom three, I like

33:17

Bowman here because I can get the plus two seventy

33:19

five. I would not touch Legano just

33:21

because he's such a heavy favorite. Certainly,

33:24

those three eighties are big, but I like the plus two

33:26

seventy five.

33:26

I think that's a good number on Alex Bowman.

33:29

In this group, Brad Keselowski finished eighth

33:31

that do over this year, that eight laps fourth

33:33

in the.

33:33

Study, and we know who the pit crew is picking.

33:36

I may have to jump back on that with him. I may I

33:39

may join him in there at Kazlowski Bad Wagon

33:41

there. All right, guys, we come back and finish up the groups, our

33:43

prop bets and our picks.

34:11

This is Gone Racing VII, San's

34:13

premier NASCAR betting podcast. You're

34:15

your hosts former NASCAR driver Brendan

34:17

Gahn and Las Vegas Motor Speedways

34:20

Jeff Motley.

34:22

White flag is in the air, A one more time

34:24

around me Gone Racing Show

34:26

here with Brendan Gaughan hanging out with you,

34:28

Jeff Motley in Nash Vegas. We're just finishing up our

34:30

groups. We just were finishing up Group D,

34:32

where Brad Keselowski

34:34

is a plus three eighty. We we know who the

34:37

crew is gonna be picking today with that number. Let's

34:40

get into Group E real quick, mister Motley, and

34:42

Group B leads off with the rookie Ty Gibbs.

34:44

Is your favorite two thirty five Chris Buscher

34:46

two seventy five, Austin Dyllon to eighty

34:48

five Ricky Stenhouse Junior two

34:51

ninety five. You

34:53

know, I'm looking through stats. Chris

34:56

Buscher ninth place at Dover this year, right

34:58

behind his teammate. That was one that I lost, by the way.

35:00

Brad and Chris were in the same group at that race, and

35:02

I wanted him flip flopped. But Chris

35:04

Buscher to seventy five. The wildcard

35:07

to me is is that Ty Gibbs, who's

35:09

been running very well lately. You

35:12

know, has me a little concerned with how good

35:14

he's been running. But I

35:17

kind of like Chris Buscher in this well,

35:19

you know.

35:20

Me the guy that's probably got

35:22

me more points this year than anybody's

35:24

been Chris Buscher.

35:25

I love Buscher in this group.

35:27

The guy to me that can be the wild card here

35:29

is Ricky Stanhous Junior.

35:31

There's a guy.

35:32

He's plus two ninety five, and he clearly

35:35

has run better this year than we've seen in

35:37

a lot of years. He's stayed out of trouble. He's

35:39

run everybody clean, He's run consistently.

35:42

He's the kind of guy that could sneak in there on a big number.

35:44

But man, Chris Buscher, I love

35:47

love cashing checks with Chris Buscher.

35:48

No, he's cash a lot of tickets for us over the years.

35:51

And Stenhouse does have a top ten

35:53

here. He finished sixth in the very first year at this race

35:55

and then followed it up last year with the sixteenth. Not quite

35:58

as good, but that team has been running better, so you

36:01

know, it's there's just something about that Chris

36:03

Busher man, he just does I mean, we've talked about him

36:05

since the very first year a Gone Racing. He

36:08

cashes some tickets for us on this show. Group

36:11

f Eric Almrole your favorite two

36:13

seventy, it's all co favorites two seventy, Chase Priscow

36:15

two seventy, Bryan Priest two seventy, Austin Cindric

36:17

two seventy five. I was

36:19

going to be really high on Eric al Morola just

36:22

with the with what I saw from

36:24

him in the past here, but that

36:26

Austin Cindric number has me a little nervous

36:29

and then you throw the blanket over this group. But all

36:31

two seventies, not a lot of cheese to spread

36:33

around there. It's all kind of one one world.

36:36

No, But I think Eric al Morola should

36:38

be the favorite. I really do.

36:40

I mean, you mentioned you know how well he's

36:42

done here, and and Almerolla

36:45

runs around these kind of tracks. So I know Cindric has

36:47

that seventh place finished last year. I'll give credit

36:49

for that, But I like al.

36:51

Moola here I kind

36:53

of do. But Sindric has me a little. I don't

36:55

know. Oh, Chase

36:57

Prisco has not been showing it that that

37:00

that they just need to figure something out over there. That Stuart

37:02

Hask group other than just Kevin we

37:04

I.

37:04

Was gonna say, you got three Stewarts cars in

37:06

this one. I think al Brol is the best of the three.

37:09

And I just don't have a lot of faith in Austin Sindrick these

37:11

days.

37:12

I thought for sure this would be the group that you guys just say, I

37:14

don't want to touch might these might be the foremost

37:16

disappointing drivers this year.

37:17

Well that listen,

37:20

that's Stuart Hass racing. This is not Spire,

37:23

this is no, not knock in front row inspiring

37:25

those guys. This is Stuart Haas racing

37:27

in Group F, three of them with

37:30

a Penske car. I mean, you

37:32

know, I'm eating Crowe for my worst

37:34

pick of the season that I you know started

37:37

off early with Martin Truex Junior being the disappointment.

37:39

But this right here is the the disappointing

37:42

group of the season right here. I mean three Stuart Hawk cars

37:44

in a Penske car Group F. That is not what

37:46

they were looking thinking they were going to do this season.

37:49

We're picking the best of the worst.

37:51

So uh this and this is the one that

37:53

Wyatt though, I'm like, I just look at

37:55

and go not enough spread. Each guy

37:58

is underperforming every once all one

38:00

performs. Hard to pick which one I don't

38:02

like? Group F this week? Uh the

38:04

manufacturer prop is up this week and go

38:06

figure no shocker here,

38:09

Chevy is minus one oh five is your

38:11

odds on favorite Toyota plus one

38:13

ninety Fords or plus three thirty? You

38:15

know I would not be shocked at a Ford

38:18

this week. I mean, I do think that Kevin

38:20

Harvick, I do think that Joey Logano, I

38:22

do think those two guys leading the charge,

38:25

but that one ninety in Toyota is not a bad return

38:27

either, No.

38:29

It's not. I mean, obviously there's no point

38:31

in betting Chevrolet here.

38:32

I just I mean one O five minus one

38:34

O five that's less than a than a straight

38:37

juice bet a one to ten. So I mean, you

38:39

know, it's not a bad number.

38:41

Honestly, I agree with you, but I

38:43

just think there's so many more opportunities that Toyota.

38:45

I think Toyota and Ford's chances are

38:48

are a little bit more level this week with

38:51

Chevy, and I think that getting those plus numbers

38:53

or would be worth it to you.

38:56

I don't disagree, but one O five is we hit

38:58

what was Chevy last couple weeks one minus one twenty

39:00

five I think, or something like that. One it's one third five fifty

39:02

five one week.

39:03

I means Toyota was plus three hundred

39:05

last week, and and I'm happy that Martin

39:07

Drux Junior brought it home.

39:09

So so well, let's talk

39:11

about last week then, since we can get to my favorite part

39:13

of the show this season, that is

39:16

how we've been doing week to week. And mister

39:18

Motley, you absolutely you won

39:20

the week. I will have to but

39:22

all of us had really good weeks

39:25

last week. All of us were winners.

39:27

Not all of us had good weeks.

39:29

That wouldn't well, we didn't suck that bad. Listen

39:31

listen for the picture. That's a that's a good week. I mean,

39:33

uh, being only minus point two, that's

39:36

a that's a w for them.

39:37

That's the frustrating part with is that we you know,

39:39

we picked you know, Ross Chats, staying

39:41

over Chase Lly, Chase Ley gets the you know,

39:43

the fuel strategy. I was

39:45

high on Austin Sindrick as you know road racing,

39:48

and you know he's been struggling this year. He was awful and never

39:50

picking him again. And I think we

39:52

had Daniel Suarez and I top

39:55

three. He misses a shift or I don't

39:57

know, got stuck in first year in the first lap and

39:59

lost twenty spot. So it was like anything

40:01

that could go wrong went wrong.

40:02

Well, Warts has a history of that in real courses

40:05

lately.

40:05

And I also would like to point out that if

40:07

it wasn't for Elliott doing this silly pit strategy,

40:10

I would have won four out of my five bets,

40:13

and I would have had a huge number because I had the same

40:15

head to head you had, plus I had

40:18

Kyle Larson.

40:19

I had Larson and Chestain both over Elliott.

40:22

I have some butts for candy nuts. Oh what a merry

40:24

Christmas.

40:26

You're exactly right, and you can't talk

40:28

about it.

40:28

I got my Kyle Busch group B. I got

40:30

my Bush over Elliott. You know my Hamlin was

40:33

was a big disappointment there A

40:35

d definitely not did not quite

40:37

perform quite like I was expecting from my ad.

40:40

And then Harvick. I said it when I picked

40:42

him. A lot of heart in that Harvick pick.

40:45

At some point you might have to check your heart at

40:47

the door and your head when it comes to Harvick.

40:49

Might have to at some point, but I don't know if I'm going to do

40:52

it yet.

40:54

He'll surprise us at some point like you did last

40:56

year winning two in a row when he won at Michigan

40:58

and.

40:58

Then somewhere else, so right right for the playoffs.

41:00

He knocked his way into the playoffs real fast. So that was

41:03

But as we always do, we go from worse to

41:05

first on this show, and after last year's

41:07

season of me doing three quarters of it from the

41:09

first pick position, that

41:12

honor goes to our friends mired in

41:14

the basement, and that is Wyatt and

41:16

the pit crew. Wyatt, please lead the way, sir.

41:18

All right, we had the week off to kind of refocus,

41:20

re energize. This has a little Isaiah

41:22

flair to it. He liked Kyle Busch over William

41:25

Byron plus one fifteen. I

41:27

was debating on the Chase Elliot plus two ninety five

41:29

in Group BAY, but I just like the momentum the TRUEX

41:31

has I got him in Group A plus two ninety same

41:33

thing. I like what Kyle Busch has been doing this year with the consistency

41:36

with the new team to win Group B plus

41:38

two sixty five, Tyler Reddick to win

41:40

Group C at plus two to fifty, and

41:43

Ricky Stenhouse Junior to win Group E plus two

41:45

ninety five. I was also debating the Chris Busher

41:47

one, but Isaiah was high on Stenhouse.

41:51

And notice abs noticeably

41:55

absent.

41:56

No, no, the I'm not taking Brad until Atlanta.

41:59

I'm already telling you I'm taking Brad Kesloskia Atlanta

42:01

to win. I'm building that one up.

42:04

Well, we've got that's the That is

42:07

the earliest pick ever made in the

42:09

history of this show. We've got to pick two weeks

42:11

in advance.

42:12

Well, hey, I think

42:14

he's leaving a lot of a lot of coin on the table there for old

42:16

Brad Keslasky's race. But please, mister

42:18

Motley, you get a second though.

42:20

Based on that verbiage, I don't know who was

42:22

more plummox Brendan

42:25

about you not picking Kazlowski or Clint

42:27

Boyer watching Denny Hamlin crash at the start

42:29

finished on it, So.

42:31

Okay my picks, I'm gonna go head

42:34

to head.

42:34

I'm taking Ryan Blaney over

42:36

Denny Hamlin speaking of the guy miss

42:38

Judge's turn eleven at Soma, and then the rest.

42:40

Of mine are in the groups.

42:41

I'm kind of putting a lot of eggs into the Blaney

42:43

baskets.

42:44

I'm taking Ryan Blaney in Group C.

42:46

I'm going Alex Bowman in Group D, my

42:49

Man, Chris Busher in Group B, and

42:52

Eric Almola and Group F.

42:54

And yes, it's killing me not to take Kyle

42:56

Busch in Group B. And I have a feeling that

42:58

one's going to come home to bite me.

43:01

All right, I've got I've got scratches all over the

43:03

place on mine this week. I'm torn.

43:06

I have too many that I want.

43:07

Can I think you say that you gave

43:09

me during the break, I'm just gonna have to go scribble it out.

43:12

No, no, no, But I've

43:14

been sitting here debating. I'm going

43:16

to go with a pick a winner, which I rarely do, but I'm

43:18

picking a winner this week, Chase Elliott.

43:20

I'm going to ride that horse because he's going to get a w before

43:22

the playoffs happen. This is a place he's really

43:24

good at. I'm taking Chase Elliott to win. I

43:27

am going to put my money where my mouth is on them head to head

43:29

bets. I am taking Kyle Busch over

43:32

Kyle Larson plus one thirty five and

43:34

a head to head matchup with Kyle Busch. Too

43:36

much coin there to be returned. I think

43:38

Kyle Larson is going to win the race, but so

43:40

many things happened to Kyle that are so odd that

43:42

I'm going to jump on that. And then I'm going into

43:45

the group matchups. I'm taking Martin Truex

43:47

Junior and Group A. We

43:49

talked about it to me, it's him and Elliot. I'm kind

43:51

of hedging my bet there Group A for him. I'm

43:54

taking Ross jast Ain in Group B those

43:57

are four and then my last one, I

43:59

had Boucher and Brad Keselowski

44:01

circled and just to make Wyat

44:04

happy. And I'm hoping it wins because that way

44:06

I can just dig the pit crew again. I

44:08

am taking Brad Keselowski at three eighty in

44:11

group Proud

44:15

of you.

44:15

I really, you know, I hope you win that Bat.

44:17

I appreciate that.

44:18

I appreciate it in group what he's

44:20

not in Group B.

44:21

What D I said D as in dumbbod

44:24

is in dumbbo.

44:26

Probably use another word for me right now, but

44:29

that's okay, Group D.

44:31

So, mister Motley, have fun in nash Vegas

44:33

this weekend. It's it's always a party down

44:35

down at the old Main Street down there, So don't get

44:37

into much trouble.

44:38

Chicago, Chicago next week.

44:39

Chicago next week is gonna be a lot of fun, all right, guys, we

44:41

come next week, we'll see it breaking down

44:43

nash Vegas and Chicago,
