This is Gone Racing, Fison's

0:03

premier NASCAR betting podcast.

0:05

Here are your.

0:06

Hosts, former NASCAR driver Brendan Gone

0:08

and Las Vegas Motor Speedways and Jeff

0:10

Montley.

0:12

Welcome back in to another edition of Gone Racing,

0:14

our New digs, our second week in our

0:16

new digs here at the Circa Hotel

0:18

Casino in downtown Las

0:21

Vegas. Brendant, we

0:23

had a big, big week this past weekend at Kansas.

0:26

A familiar car in victory

0:29

Lane, not necessarily familiar

0:31

driver.

0:31

You know, I'd be interested to see if there's

0:33

some stat that says that any

0:36

car number or team

0:38

has won that many races in that

0:40

short of time with that many different drivers. You

0:42

know, I mean the forty five team one with Kyle

0:44

Busch two years ago. I mean Kurt

0:46

Busch two years ag before he got hurt, then he got hurt,

0:48

Bubba Wallace ran the number and got

0:50

the win in the playoffs for him that

0:53

year. And then now

0:55

you have Tyler Reddick who and Tyler Redick, by the way,

0:58

almost won the first race of the season at

1:00

Kansas, come comes

1:02

back to win this one. So the forty five team,

1:05

that Toyota group absolutely dominates Kansas

1:07

Speed.

1:07

Well, and we clearly know that the Toyotas in

1:09

general are really good there. I mean, Bubba Wallace

1:11

was one of the best cars on the track all day. He ran second

1:14

almost the entire day. Denny Hamlin

1:16

had the race one and we had a lake costume,

1:18

Chris Busher with a flat tire, and.

1:20

Then you know how it all happened.

1:21

Somebody's doing a four tire stop, somebody's

1:23

doing two tires, somebody's taking no tires.

1:25

Hey listen, And if I'm a cruchie for those guys,

1:28

you go for it, baby. I mean, it's a green white checker. You

1:30

do what you can. You weren't running

1:32

well, you take the shot. And a couple of them

1:34

almost did well with it if you look at that deal. In the

1:36

end, Eric Jones comes home with a third place finish, which

1:38

is fantastic for him. But some of those guys,

1:41

you know, you have to throw caution to the win there,

1:43

you have to try something. The big loser in that was Daniel Suarez

1:45

who had no tires and did not

1:48

hang on to a good position.

1:49

Yeah, and some of those guys it took for Chase Elliott

1:51

was another guy who was running top three and he ended up

1:53

dropping back, but I'll tell you to win the race.

1:55

Tyler Redick was a plus nine hundred great

1:57

return on that. He was plus two to fifty for

2:00

a top three. He won Group B at a plus two

2:02

to twenty five driving Toyota

2:04

a plus one ten is only head to head matchup

2:07

against Kyle Busch, it was a minus one forty

2:09

five, so there was very little return there.

2:11

It also locks Tyler Reddick into the

2:13

next round of the playoffs so he doesn't have

2:15

to sweat out Bristol because we all kind of

2:17

know how Bristol can be. You know, one guy can spin

2:20

completely a whole straightaway ahead of you.

2:22

And then you could end up being in the mess there.

2:24

Listen, there are only two drivers right now that are happy

2:27

going into Bristol that they don't have to deal with the calamity.

2:30

I mean, then everybody else and there's

2:32

one guy right now that is sweating bullets

2:35

about to be the first guy ever to be the regular season champion.

2:37

And now that we have many data points on this, but

2:40

the first time a regular season champion we get knocked

2:42

out number last year I think was Chase Elliott came really

2:44

close. He had a couple bad first rounds,

2:47

ate up all his points. We talked about the same thing, but

2:49

Martin right now is on the outside looking at well.

2:51

And one of the things that helped last year is we didn't

2:54

have any playoff drivers win the first two

2:56

or those early races.

2:57

With Martin trickx Junior.

2:59

I think it's perplexing to all of us

3:01

right now that Martin Trickx Junior is sitting here on the

3:03

outside of the playoffs looking in. He had a

3:05

horrible race the weekend before at Darlington, and

3:07

in this race he blows a tire. I

3:09

mean literally, we're not even what fifteen laps

3:11

into the race, three laps, three laps into the race,

3:13

he's blown a tire, which I still can't quite

3:16

fathom. How does a tire not

3:18

last more than three laps? It makes me there

3:20

was something had to be wrong with that tire before that race

3:22

ever start.

3:23

He had to get a cut. I mean to me, it had to be a cut.

3:25

There's no way that There's nothing

3:28

they try. There's no camber, you know, they didn't

3:30

try to do to over camber the tire. That

3:32

had to be a cut tire. That's all that

3:34

it could be and but talk about

3:36

bad timing. Lap three, Martin Truex

3:38

Junior goes out, So that was horrible. But

3:41

a bunch of names in that top ten again, Motley some

3:43

great this sport healthy? Is this

3:45

sport when you look at names in the top ten?

3:46

Absolutely?

3:47

Danny Hamlin came in as a plus one thirty

3:49

for his top three. You mentioned Eric Jones.

3:51

Eric Jones forty to one

3:54

for a top three. Eric Jones finishes

3:56

third, you know, and they're going over to Toyota

3:59

next year in a Toyota yet but that team's

4:01

going to be a Toyota team next year. Kyle Larson,

4:03

our winner at Darlington. He came

4:05

in forth and he was strong all day long. I mean,

4:08

Larson was probably another guy that the lake

4:10

pit stopped. The caution with Chris Busher

4:12

didn't help Joey Logano getting the top

4:14

five. Chase Elliott, another guy ran top three

4:17

a good portion of today was there right at the mid end.

4:19

Kyle Busch a strong run and we're expecting a lot

4:21

out of Kyle I think this weekend. Going to Bristol,

4:24

Christopher Bell, Brad Keselowski had another

4:26

good run there for the RFK team, which also

4:28

had Chris Busher having a top ten run until

4:30

he cut the tire down at the very end of the race,

4:32

and Alex Bowman a top ten. So no real surprises

4:35

other than Eric Jones in that top

4:37

ten, but it's a solid group.

4:38

Larson led the most laps on the day, ninety nine laps,

4:40

so Larson was the strongest car if you go by the number

4:42

of laps led. But Eric Jones a great name

4:45

on that list right there. Even Kyle Busch

4:47

good rebound get himself just a solid finish

4:49

to get back in the conversation, so he's not in

4:51

danger near that cut line right now. Bowman

4:53

would finally at least a top ten

4:56

run, right I mean, Bowman has been kind

4:58

of disappeared the last half of the season. Seabell

5:01

still strong, but man, that RFK team, I think

5:03

this might be I wish, you know, I should

5:05

have thought this for the show started. I'd love to

5:07

see when the last time Jack Roush

5:09

had this many top tens in

5:11

a row in a season. It had

5:13

to be over ten years since he's had this many

5:15

top tens by his teams in a row.

5:17

Yeah, I think you're probably right, because I mean, there were some pretty

5:19

lean years in there in the you know Stenhouse

5:21

years and even toward the end of Biffles years and things

5:23

like that. All right, well, let's we talked a little bit about

5:26

TRUEX being on the outside. Let's take

5:28

a look at our standings. We know that Larson and

5:30

we know that Reddick. They're locked into the next round.

5:32

Denny Hamlin, William Byron, brad

5:35

Keselowski, all in pretty good shape.

5:37

But you start looking down that list and

5:39

you see the guy on the bubble right now is Kevin

5:42

Harvick. He's seven points ahead

5:44

of Martin Trix Junior. Martin Trix Junior

5:46

finishes eighth or seventh in stage

5:48

one and Harvick gets no stage points. They're tied

5:51

one stage into this race at Bristol, So that's pretty

5:53

tight.

5:54

I look at this and I go anywhere from Chris Buscher, who's

5:56

in ninth, all the way down to bubble with which.

5:58

Is that is a show just

6:01

that one blown tire run belonging to the race.

6:03

That Chris Buscher, who we thought was a

6:05

guy who's in really good shape for the final four,

6:08

is now I mean, he's got to make sure neck. Granted

6:10

he did win this race last year, but only

6:12

thirteen points to the good.

6:13

Well, I mean, look, you finished twenty seventh with that blown

6:15

tire last week, so that hurt him, and you look

6:17

at that, but you go, Bubba Wallace, even

6:20

Ricky Stenhouse at forty one, that's

6:22

not undoable for twenty one points to Kevin

6:24

Harvick, especially with a problem, especially

6:26

with stage points, all those things. So I

6:29

say, from ninth to fourteenth, maybe

6:31

even fifteenth, you've got five guys,

6:33

seven guys right there that literally

6:35

are going to be sweating this whole race, counting points,

6:38

counting cars, really figuring out what they

6:40

got to do to make sure they make this playoff. And one guy who's

6:42

got all the pressure in the world, Martin Truex Junior,

6:44

all the playoff points he got the regular season champion.

6:47

If he makes it to the next round, he resets

6:49

with all those points that he had the advantage of. He

6:51

goes back to being your leader in the point. He'll

6:53

go from twelfth to first in

6:56

one day if he makes it.

6:57

Yes, like losing the two point basketball game with

6:59

four timeouts, you

7:01

know, just to have all that sitting there

7:04

in your in your hands and know that

7:06

it could slip away. But you've also got to believe

7:08

that team drivers like

7:10

Truex, Harvick, Legano the importance.

7:12

They're gonna put number one on qualifying

7:15

yep, and number two. Guess

7:17

what you when that flag drops, there's

7:19

not gonna be any of this. I'm gonna take

7:22

it easy now because they've got to get every stage

7:24

point they can. And at Bristol, we're running

7:26

fifteen sixteen second laps.

7:28

Those one hundred and twenty five laps are gonna

7:30

go by in a hurry.

7:32

Listen at Bristol, get it gets spread

7:34

out right at the drop of the rag. I mean by

7:37

the time you get lap ten, the leader

7:39

is looking at the back of the field in his windshield,

7:41

you know, I mean it's right there. It is hard

7:43

to do. It is hard to keep up there. And those

7:45

guys. But when you look at those names, when you NASCAR

7:48

Champion, Kevin Harvick, NASCAR Champion, Martin

7:50

Truex, Junior NASCAR Champion, Joey Logano,

7:53

those are three guys that have been here, done that. Unless

7:55

we forget Christopher Bell, the king

7:58

of go or go home races. I

8:00

mean last year he's true walk off. Yeah, he proved

8:03

you know that that things clank when he walks

8:05

because he proved that he does not. He loves

8:08

pressure. So you got all those guys right there

8:10

that there's a lot of lot of guys

8:12

with confidence that are one of them is

8:14

going to be looking at the outside after this round, and some.

8:17

Guys that are probably not getting a lot of sleep this week.

8:19

So it is Bristol, and we need to remind

8:21

everybody. So for the last couple of years,

8:23

this is the only race on the concrete

8:26

at Bristol, so we really don't have any data

8:28

points this year. The only guy that

8:30

has won at Bristol on this surface

8:33

in this car is Chris Busher.

8:36

Yes, and that was last and that was last fall.

8:38

So looking at the schedule coming up, we talked

8:40

about the fact we've got Bristol this week. Once

8:42

we passed Bristol, the next trip, we're going

8:44

into the next the next round of the playoffs,

8:46

So we'll start that out in Fort Worth, Texas. Then

8:49

we go to Talladega, and then we run the roval

8:51

in Charlotte before coming here to Las Vegas

8:53

to start the third round of the playoffs.

8:55

I love that second round and I think once

8:57

Bristol is over, we're really going to have

8:59

a lot to talk about for that second round of the playoffs.

9:01

Once again, I really hope NASCAR does

9:04

not get talked into changing the

9:06

cutoff rounds right now. I love that

9:08

everybody they're they're not afraid to change schedules

9:10

this and that. But when you go from Daytona to

9:12

being a regular season cutoff race, which

9:14

is a crapshoot that you'd love to use, then

9:16

you end up with a Bristol Night Race as

9:19

a cutoff race, another race that is

9:21

calamity Jane Corner, you know, can be so

9:23

many things. Then you go to the Roval

9:25

at you know how I feel about that

9:27

one. But you go

9:29

to the you know, the Roval at Charlotte, which

9:32

another race that a lot of things

9:35

can happen in. I think they got these

9:37

cutoff races nailed, pat

9:39

I think it's hard to change want to change them.

9:41

And then I love the mixture of races mile

9:43

and a half, super Speedway, Roval.

9:46

Then you go to the South Point four hundred, we kick off with a

9:48

mile and a half. You gotta be good. It shows

9:50

that you have to be well rounded. And I

9:52

really like the way the schedule lays out for the playoffs well.

9:54

The main main one we're talking about right now is

9:56

going to be this cutoff race right here, which is Bristol.

9:59

And take a quick look get the stats at Bristol. Kyle

10:02

Busch, I mean, if he doesn't get in

10:04

erect Kyle Busch probably gonna win thirty

10:06

three races, eight wins, fourteen

10:08

top fives.

10:09

Are you raced at Bristol a few times? Can you fathom

10:12

nineteen top tens and thirty three

10:14

races at Bristol just knowing how quickly something

10:17

bad can happen.

10:18

Listen, I'm jealous

10:20

of that right there. I mean, that's just phenomenal. What Kyle

10:23

the Bush brothers, remember Kurt Busch was his stats

10:25

if we had them here. Kurt Busch's stats

10:27

were fantastic at Bristol. So the Bush

10:29

boys know how to get around that place. There's some

10:31

guys down there, Chase Elliott fifty percent top

10:33

ten, you know, even Eric Jones fifty percent

10:35

top ten, and he's been running better. He's coming

10:37

off two top tens in a row right now with Darlington

10:40

and Kansas, so he's got some stuff

10:42

there. You know. Chris Buscher not quite

10:44

as good, but he's got the win from last year,

10:46

Kyle Larson, nine top tens and fourteen

10:49

races. There are some amazing numbers on

10:51

guys here, along with the fact you got the Harvicks,

10:54

the and the Bushes that just flat out

10:56

you know know how to get it done.

10:57

But you know a couple of names we don't see on this list right here,

11:00

Martin Truch Junior and Bubble Wallace. The two guys

11:02

are sitting on the bubble. They don't have any wins here.

11:04

They really don't have a strong showing here.

11:06

Martin Truch Junior, two top tens, last ten

11:08

races, average finished twenty point six.

11:10

Well, so you know Martin is going in and

11:13

Martin's going into this race at Bristol, and he

11:15

probably doesn't have a great deal of confidence.

11:17

I'm thinking to you.

11:18

Listen, right now, he's scratching

11:21

his head, going, oh my god, he's got all

11:23

the pressure because this becomes

11:25

a meme. Right if you

11:28

not get knocked out the first round after being the race

11:30

season points champion with a fifty five point lead, that's

11:32

a meme.

11:33

We may even give you a little credit for maybe the most disappointing

11:35

season that you called it before the season started.

11:37

Are we back on ground racing.

11:39

We'll start going over the odds to win and our top

11:41

threes.

11:58

This is Gone Racing since

12:00

premier NASCAR Betting podcast.

12:02

Here are your.

12:02

Hosts, former NASCAR driver Brendan Gonn

12:05

and Las Vegas Motor Speedways Jeff

12:07

Motley.

12:08

We're back here talking all things the Night

12:10

Race at Bristol. Brendan, you know, they're

12:13

so proud of the name of this race. They don't even put a number

12:15

on it. It's not even it's not the Bass Pro

12:17

Shops five hundred, it's just the Bass

12:19

Pro Shops Night Race. And they've been doing

12:22

that, I think for we used to call it, I think just the

12:24

Night Race at Bristol when they didn't have a

12:26

sponsor on the race. So pretty cool. But anyway,

12:28

we're going to start taking a look at odds to win. Kyle

12:31

Larson comes in as our favorite. I

12:33

might be mildly surprised, but

12:36

maybe not shocked there. He's a plus five fifty,

12:38

William Byron and Denny Hamlin of both plus seven

12:40

to fifty, Christopher Bell plus eight hundred,

12:43

Brad Keselowski plus eight fifty, Chase

12:45

Elliott ten to one, Kyle Busch,

12:47

Kevin Harvick, Chris Buscher all twelve to

12:49

one, Ryan Blaney, Rosschastain,

12:51

Martin Trix Junior, Joey Lgano all at fourteen,

12:54

Tyler Reddick at sixteen, Bubba Wallace

12:56

twenty eight and making an appearance on the

12:58

first page this week, Tyger Gibbs it forty

13:00

to one. What jumps out at you there?

13:03

Well, I'll give you the stat for Kyle Larson. He's the only

13:05

guy in the single digit in the last ten races.

13:08

To be the only guy in single digits average

13:10

finished last ten races. He's only got eight data points

13:12

because remember he missed a couple of races, but he's

13:14

seven top tens, four top fives and a win

13:17

in the last ten races, and the one that

13:19

he didn't was a nineteenth place that he still

13:21

led sixty laps in, So you

13:24

know, he is really good here fifth, first, sixth,

13:26

second, second, ninth and sixth in

13:28

the last eight not counting

13:30

the nineteenth. So there's a reason why he is

13:33

the favorite. But I look at that Kyle Busch number.

13:36

You know, six top fives and the last

13:38

ten races, got three wins in the last

13:40

ten races, and he's twelve to one. He

13:43

hasn't been very loud lately. We've

13:45

talked about that fade. But where did they

13:47

start the season that Kyle Busch was so good

13:50

at the coliseum? Now anything not

13:53

anything like Bristol. Let's not you know, don't

13:55

get me wrong, but a short track. That's where

13:57

they came off the bus, you know, with the

13:59

new RCR deal, and he came out

14:01

firing. So this could be a place. At twelve

14:03

to one, that's a hell of a number on a Kyle

14:06

Busch.

14:07

I like that.

14:07

Well, and you know we talk about attitude,

14:10

right, he has great attitude.

14:11

He has a great attitude at Bristol. I mean when a guy when

14:13

he.

14:13

Wins, he says, I hate this car, I hate

14:16

you, I hate this but he loves Bristol

14:18

and.

14:18

That's the thing.

14:18

He's got eight wins there, so I agree with you twelve

14:21

to one. And the other guy is, like we just

14:23

said a minute ago, the only guy that's

14:25

won on this surface in this.

14:27

Car is Chris Buscher, who's been one of the hottest

14:29

shirts.

14:29

Look, he was running top ten last week, so let's

14:32

let's discount where he finished last week.

14:34

No belief to one, No belief, No

14:36

believers. No, no believers in Chris

14:38

Buscher still. I mean, you got to look, Chris Buscher won

14:41

the race last year, led one hundred.

14:43

Didn't just win the race last year? Remember not

14:45

playoff guy RFK. Last

14:47

year much different year than this year, right, We're

14:49

not that strong, went and led one hundred

14:52

and sixty nine laps. The guy

14:54

who led the most laps, he

14:56

finished seventh in Stage one, one

14:58

hundred and sixty nine laps. And you got him

15:00

right now sitting here at four to twelve

15:03

to one. I'm sorry, there's

15:05

two numbers right there that I might bet winners

15:07

this week just because of that.

15:08

Well, and then one other name it jumps out

15:10

of me on the very beginning of the board there,

15:13

Tyler Reddick at sixteen to one.

15:15

Tyler Reddick, here's a guy he won last week.

15:18

We've talked about how these are kind

15:20

of his kind of racetracks. You

15:22

know, Reddick is run He's run well here in every

15:24

other series that he's been in, and we know

15:26

the Toyotas are going to probably run well here because

15:28

they always do. I just think that's a really, really

15:31

nice return on Tyler Reddick.

15:33

Honestly, I'd probably have him up there close

15:35

to where Brad Keselowski is at at plus eight fifty

15:38

as opposed to be in sixteen to one.

15:39

But that's just me.

15:41

I don't discount that. I mean ty and right now,

15:43

Reddick is no pressure. Is fast,

15:45

He's been fast everywhere.

15:46

The last He's just going for bonus points. Now, that's

15:49

what matters to him is bonus points. All right, let's

15:51

take a look at our longer shots this race

15:54

coming up here in Bristol. We got Alex Bowman at fifty

15:56

five to one, Eric Jones who just

15:58

keeps finishing well one,

16:00

Daniel Suarez and Eric Almol at ninety,

16:03

Stenhouse and McDowell, a couple of playoff

16:05

drivers along with Chase Briscoe at one hundred

16:07

to one, Ryan Prees, Almondinger at

16:09

one fifty, Haley Josse of ar In,

16:12

Austin Dylon big now last

16:14

fifty and there's some bigger.

16:16

Yeah, there's some bigglers behind that. But still

16:18

I mean Austin Dillon way down there behind Carson Josvar

16:21

same odd. But I mean, really, Ryan,

16:23

I mean that just surprises me. Not that I

16:25

think he's going to win the race. Sorry Austin, but

16:28

still nothing on this back page.

16:30

Really, the only one maybe

16:32

that gets gets me going to say, hmmm,

16:35

rather talk about him in the top threes is that Eric

16:37

Jones stat we started the show

16:39

with where Eric Jones ten races,

16:42

five top fives, four top tens, average

16:44

finish at thirteen point three last ten races.

16:46

So here's a guy that he's finished second

16:48

here in the past, granted it was with Gibbs,

16:51

but got a fifth place here, got a third

16:53

place, here, got another fifth place. Here's

16:56

a guy pretty good here.

16:58

Yeah, I think, and I think Suarez is an guy

17:00

that it's a really big number on Daniel.

17:02

I know he hasn't won this year, but Daniel.

17:05

Seems fairly comfortable when he goes to some

17:07

of these short tracks and runs fairly well.

17:09

But I guess we'll see.

17:10

Okay, let's take a look at our top threes. Kyle

17:12

Larson comes in as our favorite there at plus one

17:14

sixty, William Byron

17:17

and Denny Hamlin are both plus two to ten, Christopher

17:19

Bell at plus two twenty five, Brad Kasilowski

17:22

two fifty, Elliott two seventy five, Bush

17:24

three fifty, along with Harvick and Busher, Blaney,

17:27

Chastain, Truex, and Legano All

17:29

at four hundred, Reddick at four to fifty,

17:31

Bubba at eight hundred, and Ty Gibbs at

17:33

twelve to one.

17:34

I lock right back in those same two Chris Buscher

17:36

at three to fifty. Here's a guy that won last

17:38

year, he was fast last week at Kansas.

17:40

He's been fast the arguably

17:43

the hottest guy coming into the playoffs, and you're

17:45

telling me he's three fifty. That's a great return,

17:48

I do. I'm intrigued by the Bubba Wallace

17:50

number there, just because

17:52

of how well he's been running lately. I

17:54

think the Bubba has really matured a

17:56

lot, and the last little bit I think Tyler Reddick has

17:58

helped him a lot. I think Bush as a

18:01

as a driver, coach, slash mentor over there has

18:03

helped and it's shown lately. So that

18:05

that eight hundred on Bubba Wallace and

18:07

even that Ty Gibson, Remember the kid just missed

18:09

the playoffs. Having a good rookie season. I

18:12

think that he could snap off a top three here because

18:14

he won this in Xfinity at least once

18:16

that I can remember off the top of my head. So I

18:19

like those two numbers at the bottom page.

18:20

You know, and I think a couple of guys here that I

18:23

probably wouldn't discount because

18:25

I think they'll run well. Here are

18:27

those two Penske cars there, Blainey and Logano.

18:30

Blaney in Logano, he's said

18:32

his moments at britt he's been pretty good.

18:34

He's been lately, not bad.

18:36

Four top tens, three top fives, so

18:38

not terrible lately. But Logano did

18:40

win here, did used to do really well here.

18:43

He does like this place so.

18:45

And he's plus four hundred. I mean, there's

18:47

some real value I think there on Joey Logano. I just

18:49

don't think he should be discounted. You know, we've really

18:51

kind of talked about a lot of what we talked

18:53

about Ben the Toyota guys, you know, and

18:55

in Kyle Busch along with Apple Sleeve Larson, sorry.

18:58

Not name it, and we haven't said Ross Chastain's name. Ross

19:01

Chastain.

19:02

I think Mike issue with chastainn He just had that strong

19:04

this year or two, and he sometimes gets himself

19:07

into trouble.

19:07

And Bristol is one track where.

19:09

Well that's one track where people get even with him. And

19:12

we've seen that at this track he's gotten people

19:14

have gotten even with Ross here at Bristol

19:16

in the past. This is a place that his personality

19:21

has not paid dividends when it comes to Bristol.

19:23

Well, and maybe that's one thing we need going into

19:25

this race. We need a scorecard, or

19:28

as Dion Sanders coach Prime likes

19:30

to say, I keep receipts.

19:32

We need to know who's keeping receivers.

19:33

This weekend, because this, as you say,

19:36

is the weekend that you tend to redeem those

19:38

receipts.

19:40

You tend to cash

19:42

in a lot of tickets on this one,

19:44

so it definitely happens. Let's just say,

19:46

all.

19:46

Right, let's take a look at our longer shots for top threes.

19:48

Here, Alex Bowman comes in at fourteen to

19:51

one, Eric Jones is sixteen to

19:53

one, Daniel Suarez, Eric al Merle at

19:55

twenty, Stenhouse, McDowell and Briscoe

19:57

at twenty five priests and Almendinger at

19:59

four Hayley, hos of Ar,

20:02

Dylan and Burton All at sixty, Cindric

20:04

And at one hundred, Corey La Joy at one thirty,

20:07

and Ty Dylan two fifty.

20:10

You know, maybe Alex Bowman, Eric Eric Jones

20:12

again, I harped the dead horse, right I mean, Eric Jones,

20:14

we're talking about a lot Alex Bowman. A couple

20:16

of good runs here, last eight races, two

20:19

top fives, got a fifth and got a fifth.

20:22

Not terrible, but once

20:24

again, he's the guy that's kind of disappeared as

20:26

of late. But when Alex Bowman shows

20:29

back up on the scene, Alex Bowman

20:31

shows up, right. I mean normally, when all of

20:33

a sudden we talk about Alex Bowman again, it's like, oh my god, Alex

20:35

Bowman ripped off two wins in a row, and then you

20:37

don't talk about him for three weeks, you know,

20:40

so it's it's three

20:42

months. So that one

20:44

kind of gets me there. Really,

20:47

that's it on this page. That kind of gets me excited

20:49

as Eric Jones and Alex Bowman. Eric Jones sixteen

20:51

to one, I think that could happen well.

20:53

And it seems like, you know, every week

20:55

we've got somebody that's now granted, I

20:57

say, we've got every week we got somebody surprising

20:59

us. It's really kind of been Eric Jones

21:02

has been the guy that's been surprising on so most.

21:04

Of these weeks.

21:04

But you know, we've had, like you mentioned,

21:06

Bowman, Bowman's had some good runs. Problem

21:08

with Bowman he hasn't had good finishes. And

21:12

also you got to look at I mean, okay,

21:14

I know they haven't been great at Bristol, but Ricky

21:16

Stenhouse and Michael McDowell, those guys

21:19

don't want to be one and Dons in the playoffs,

21:21

and those guys are gonna I mean, look.

21:23

I'm not saying they're gonna go out there and win, but.

21:25

I just gotta believe you're going to get absolutely

21:27

their best effort this week.

21:29

And look, Michael McDowell's crew chief.

21:31

How many times has he proven this year that this

21:33

man has got guts and is

21:35

not afraid to roll the dice and take chances

21:37

and do these things. So McDowell's kind of a wild

21:40

card down there at that twenty five to one.

21:42

I just here's the deal. At twenty five to one for a top

21:44

three, I'd love to look at Michael

21:46

McDowell. We don't do it here of course on Gone Racing,

21:49

but you know, DraftKings does have and a lot of the books

21:51

in town do have top ten top five.

21:54

I would love to see a Michael McDowell or Ricky

21:56

Stenhouse junior top ten top five number

21:58

because if they're twenty five to one here,

22:00

they may still be eight nine,

22:03

maybe even ten to one on a top ten

22:05

number. Pretty good, pretty good odds for that, right.

22:07

I just think if you're going in and you've got the mentality

22:09

of Ricky Stenhouse junior Michael McDowell,

22:12

finishing top ten is probably not gonna be

22:14

good enough now and then, like we talked

22:16

about early in the show, though, one thing we do know

22:18

they're gonna be is very very

22:20

aggressive from the start of the race because

22:22

these stage points are gonna need so

22:25

much.

22:25

And McDowell's a guy who they managed

22:27

that.

22:28

They've proved it, they've done it, he's done putting

22:30

on that.

22:30

Stenhouse sometimes gets himself

22:33

in a little bit of trouble.

22:36

All Right, we'll be back on Gone Racing very charly,

22:38

and we will start talking about our driver head to heads

22:40

and our group matchups.

22:58

This is Gone Racing, FISA's

23:32

Okay, Jeff Miley, Brendan Ghan or the promo

23:34

just.

23:34

Told you that put them goggles back on there?

23:36

Put my goggles back on here. I got

23:38

to be Kareem Abdul Jabbar, now here.

23:40

Put some I'm dating myself.

23:42

Pet.

23:43

Half the people probably remember Kurt

23:46

rambas Baby, come on, Kurt Rambas. Oh.

23:48

But if you're watching that Winning Time

23:50

on HBO then, which is a

23:52

great show by the way, you see a lot of Kareem

23:54

and Kurt Rambus and all those guys.

23:56

And baby, here's the King of the

23:58

Rexpax back then this Showtimeli.

24:00

Oh, Yeah, yeah, I gotta love Kurt Rambiss.

24:01

But all right, it's uh it's

24:03

Bristol Night Race, the Bass Pro

24:06

Shops Night Race at Bristol. That's

24:08

our sister track, Speedway Motorsports. So I gotta

24:10

get their sponsor love in there a little bit. So looking

24:12

at our driver head to heads, boy,

24:15

they just don't blow me away this week, Brendan.

24:17

But uh, I mean we got a few plus

24:19

lines there. Bell's a plus one ten against

24:21

Hamlin, and he's plus one ten against

24:23

Larson, and Elliott's one ten against Larson.

24:25

There's some evens.

24:26

But I feel like I'm

24:28

looking at Talladega and Daytona here not

24:31

not really.

24:32

And we only got six to choose from this week, where normally

24:34

we have nine on them and Westgate we

24:36

appreciate them always, you know, getting odds up for us

24:38

so early, so it's

24:40

sometimes tough for us to get you know, kind

24:42

of fun choices on picks. But really

24:44

not a lot of fun there. I mean, you know, Christopher

24:47

Bell, he's up against Denny Hamlin, Kyle Larson.

24:50

Okay, the Denny Hamlin even

24:52

money versus Kyle Larson, you

24:54

know that. That to me, it's it's

24:58

just Denny. The problem is Denny's. You

25:01

never know what Denny's gonna show up on Pitt

25:03

Road every week. So there's not a

25:05

whole lot of fun on the headheads.

25:07

And it bumms me out because I've been knocking

25:09

the head heads out of the park this year and just chipping

25:11

away at the season. And I got I don't.

25:13

I just don't feel any love in the headheads for me this

25:15

week.

25:15

Yeah, I mean, the only one I see that I might

25:18

feel a little bit pretty good about, maybe

25:20

is Christopher Bell head to head against Brad Keselowski

25:22

on an even line. But again, I'm not gonna

25:25

touch these. It just doesn't do

25:27

much for me. So let's just get to the groups.

25:29

We talk enough about those, So on to the groups

25:31

we go. We're gonna take a look at Group A. Kyle

25:33

Larson is the favorite here at a plus two fifty.

25:36

Denny Hamlin comes in plus two to seventy,

25:38

William Byron, and Brad

25:41

Keselowski plus two seventy

25:44

five. Brad Keaslowski has not won

25:46

a race and how many years now

25:48

two years and he is in Group

25:50

A.

25:51

Well, and I'm looking at this going okay, hold on,

25:54

Christopher Bell, one of the hottest guys in the sport. Hit the

25:56

guy who drives for Brad Keselowski, won three races

25:58

right before the playoff and three or FO style acts finished.

26:00

You know, amazing here won this race last year.

26:03

He's in Group b Brad Keselowski's

26:05

in group A.

26:07

I think somebody might have

26:10

that might have be off off a little bit somewhere.

26:14

Look, I can take that down a three man horse race right there. I'm

26:16

sorry, I don't disbelieve in Brad, but you

26:18

take that to a Byron, Larson and Hamlin,

26:21

and you know, then it becomes, well,

26:23

who do I give them on too? I like Kyle Larson

26:25

heavy in that group.

26:26

Well, and I guess that's

26:28

a good thing since you're kicking our butts in the standings.

26:30

Because I'm with you totally. I mean, if Kyle

26:33

Larson was coming in there at plus one

26:35

seventy five or plus one eighty five, then

26:37

I might be like, well, I don't know if I'm going to go down that route.

26:39

But plus two fifty on Kyle Larson you

26:41

talked, I mean, Brennan, you read off the stats,

26:43

how dominant he's been here at

26:45

Bristol, So I think at a plus two to fifty, I'm

26:48

with you. Love Kyle Larson in group A.

26:50

Yeah, it's because I can take

26:52

Brad out right off the bats three man horse race. Byron's

26:54

pretty good. Don't get me wrong on Brian Byron Byron's

26:57

got two third place finish his last two races,

26:59

so Byron up there, But I still

27:01

like Larson at two

27:03

fifty there.

27:03

So now when we look at group B, we can make a

27:06

case that every guy that's in group B

27:08

could be in group A. We'll take a look right off the

27:10

top. Christopher Bell and Chase Elliott are the co

27:12

favorites at plus two thirty. But then Chris

27:15

Buscher we mentioned in fact he won this race

27:17

last year's plus three fifteen, and Kyle

27:19

Busch, he of the eight wins,

27:22

A nineteen top five and I'm

27:24

gonna sorry, nineteen top tens and fifteen top

27:26

fives and thirty three starts at Bristol

27:29

A plus three fifteen in group B.

27:31

Now I'm not hedging how I feel, but those

27:33

two three fifteen's are pretty

27:35

good numbers.

27:35

We talked about enticement, right, they're trying to entice

27:38

us here now. Christopher Bell in the race

27:40

last year, second in stage one, first in stage

27:42

two, one hundred and forty three last years and

27:44

mister walkoff and mister walkoff.

27:46

So I mean, I don't dislike the ce Bell

27:49

pick, but three

27:52

point fifteen on Chris Buscher, who won the race last

27:54

year, who's been super hot going

27:56

into the playoffs peaking at the right time.

28:00

Or Kyle Busch with those amazing stats.

28:02

I like the two dogs and this one. Hell, I can

28:04

put one, you know, on each of them. I'm still gonna end up ahead.

28:06

Right if either one of those guys wins the group, I kind of

28:08

I'm with you. I think those are huge numbers and really

28:11

like Kyle Busch and Chris Busher in that group.

28:13

There all our group.

28:14

See Ryan Blaney comes in as a favorite

28:16

here at plus two sixty five. Tyler

28:18

Reddick, Martin TRICKX Junior, and Ross Chastain

28:21

all come in at plus two seventy. Brendan,

28:24

I'm just gonna jump right in there and tell you that I

28:26

like one guy way more than I do the

28:29

other three, and he's

28:31

not even the favorite in this group. Tyler

28:33

Reddick to me in this group, I

28:36

just love the Tyler Reddick bet right here.

28:38

Look, Martin TRUEX Junior has

28:40

not been good here lately. I mean our

28:42

start of the show two top ten to ten races average finished

28:45

twenty point six, thirty six, seventh,

28:47

twenty fourth, twentieth, thirteenth, seventeenth,

28:50

thirtieth, thirtieth twenty first not

28:52

Martin truckx's favorite place. Ross Chastain,

28:55

another guy that when he shows up, he shows up

28:57

in a big way, but hasn't been showing up lately.

29:00

I really like that Reddick, but he's in

29:02

this group. He's a guy that arguably could

29:04

be in Group A. He's

29:06

down in Group C. That's like a couple weeks ago

29:08

we talked, we had a we had like

29:10

Chase Elliot or somebody down in Group C or D, and

29:12

we're like, well, what do you How can you not

29:14

pick Kyle Busch or Chase Elliott in Group C? Tyler

29:17

Reddick? How can you not pick him in Group C?

29:19

Yeah?

29:19

And we know the Toyotas are strong here, and you

29:21

mentioned the fact that TRUEX, this just isn't his

29:23

favorite place. I agree that he's desperate,

29:26

but I think sometimes when you get the guy who

29:28

can kind of throw caution to the wind, I

29:31

like that guy.

29:32

Yeah, And that's what.

29:32

Tyler Reddick can do right now? All right, Group D,

29:35

we got a heavy favorite and Joey Logano

29:37

at plus one seventy five,

29:39

Bubba Wallace at plus two eighty five,

29:42

and then ty Gibbs and Alex Bowman

29:44

both coming in at plus three point

29:46

thirty. Now you talking about a group

29:48

that is spread out with some enticement

29:52

in here.

29:53

There's some enticement in this group.

29:54

Yeah, and Logano being the heavy favorite.

29:56

Is that for a reason Alex

29:58

Bowman is my you know? Once

30:00

again, I just it's so tough to read

30:03

Alex Bowman. Ty Gibbs was

30:05

in this race last year, crashed

30:07

out, finished thirty fifth, so

30:10

tough to get a read on Ty Gibbs on the on the

30:12

number of starts because he doesn't have many,

30:15

so tough to read him. Bowman

30:18

once again? Is it time for Bowman

30:20

to start? Bowman? Bowman the showman? Is

30:22

he coming back? Or do we got this Bowman

30:24

we've had right now? I

30:27

told you I kind of like Bubba a little bit. But you know what,

30:29

I'd still bet Legano at one seventy five.

30:32

The problem is one seventy five. I

30:34

can get a better number for his top three well.

30:37

And I think that's my hold up here. I mean, I think Legano

30:39

there's a reason he's the favorite. I think Legano is

30:41

the best one in the group. But this is a group that I'm

30:44

just not going to touch only because I

30:46

don't like the plus one seventy five number. Bowman

30:49

to me is the other guy that I think,

30:52

like you just said, Brendan, I mean, Bowman is

30:54

so unpredictable.

30:56

When he shows up, he should be groupe. I

30:58

mean, when he shows up, he is Alex Bowman, grew a

31:00

Alex Bowman and amazing and

31:02

fantastic. When he doesn't show up, he's Alex

31:04

Bowman. Group deep, you know, and so

31:06

it's you just don't know what he's going to get. So it's too

31:08

tough for me. This is we always have the one group that

31:11

we look at and say I'm not I'm

31:13

not touching. Here's my group, and

31:15

I'm with you on that.

31:16

But we're agreeing on a lot to wait.

31:17

This is that just means we're jinks

31:20

and everybody out here, which is usually

31:22

what happens is we Brendan, I agree, all right, we'll take

31:24

a look at.

31:24

Group E here.

31:26

Eric Almarola, Eric Jones, and Daniel

31:28

Suarez all come in at plus two fifty

31:30

five and Chase Briscow at plus three

31:32

ten. And finally a week that I don't think

31:35

Chase Briscoe is the guy to beat. In

31:37

a in a group right here. I know there's

31:39

three guys tied at the top, but man,

31:41

you know, we like to talk about what have you done for me

31:44

lately? And the only guy in this group is

31:46

Eric Jones that has done something lately.

31:48

Now, before the last three weeks, we

31:50

were not talking much about Eric Jones or the Legacy

31:52

Motor Club team. Now I look at this

31:54

and go, well, Eric Jones pretty good,

31:57

and I gave you the stats. He's pretty darn good here. But

31:59

there's one that's tough fun that Chase Briscoe has

32:01

been kind of our money maker and Group F lately and

32:04

bummer, he's not in Group F this week because

32:07

putting him in this group, But Chase Briscoe

32:09

fourteenth and thirteenth. This

32:12

is what makes sports betting so

32:15

great for NASCAR. Do

32:17

you care normally who finishes thirteenth or fourteenth

32:19

in a race?

32:19

Absolutely not, And nor do you care where Eric almerol,

32:22

Eric Jones, Daniel Swarez or Chase prisco finished.

32:24

Mostly But last week we lost

32:26

our group BEF bet with Chase Briscoe to Ryan

32:28

Priest fourteenth and fifteenth

32:31

position. So you look at this and this

32:33

is what I get so mad that the television

32:35

networks right, don't spend more

32:37

time focusing on the gambling, because it's like,

32:39

dude, you could have had a hell of a battle

32:42

showing Brisco and Priests

32:44

running for that fourteenth place finish. Going, man, there's

32:47

money on that well.

32:48

No question, and I'm you and

32:50

I have been preaching to the choir on that one.

32:51

All right, quick, But I like Eric John's quick.

32:53

Look at our group f Michael McDowell is a favorite

32:55

at plus two sixty five, along with Stenhouse and

32:57

Almendinger. Dylan comes in at plus two

33:00

seventy five.

33:01

I like McDowell here, you

33:03

know, I don't dislike McDowell, but he just

33:07

I don't know. I circled Austin Dylan

33:10

because just that's

33:12

the best team in this group. If

33:14

you look at the team right, RCR

33:17

is the strongest team that's right there in groupth That's

33:20

the only reason I'm throwing to Austin

33:23

Dillon.

33:23

I guess I think Mike McDowell's a rather popular

33:26

driver amongst the other drivers. He is a blessed

33:28

guy. I don't think guys will give him a lot of

33:30

trouble if he's a little faster. I think they might

33:32

let him go.

33:33

I don't know. We'll see. Maybe

33:35

I'm wrong, who knows. Okay, we'll be back on Gone

33:37

Racing.

33:37

We have our final segment Web Manufacturers

33:40

and give you our picks.

33:58

This is Gone Racing Feasts,

34:00

premier NASCAR betting podcast. Here

34:02

are your hosts, former NASCAR driver Brendan

34:04

Gahn and Las Vegas Motor Speedways.

34:07

Jeff Modley.

34:09

Well, it's our final segment for today, talking

34:11

about the Bass pro Shop Night race at

34:13

Bristol. We've got Wyatt

34:15

in our ear. He's very good, very

34:18

very very very clever in

34:20

our area. I think he's just trying to trip us up, is what

34:22

he's really trying.

34:23

It's not tough to trip up the professionally unprofessional.

34:25

That's true.

34:25

I mean we don't need you know, we've made it through

34:27

this whole show without doing something unprofessional.

34:30

So we've got one segment to go to listen, I

34:32

just jinxed.

34:32

It or I think we just look the desk isn't

34:35

would so I'm not really knocking a would have

34:37

my head thing?

34:37

There you go? Yeah, there were so all

34:40

right.

34:40

Our last bet for this week is our manufacturer

34:43

Props and we see a closer

34:45

group here than we've seen a Ford's getting

34:47

a little bit more love than we're used to. I'm

34:49

not really sure who their love

34:51

is going to, if it's Joey Logano or what

34:53

many or Kevin Harvick, but anyway.

34:55

Chris Buscher or Brad Kelaski

34:57

for some reason.

34:58

So anyway, Chevy's a plus one twenty five

35:00

Toyota and Ford or plus two ten.

35:03

Maybe not a lot of value here, other than I'm a

35:05

little surprised Toyota's plus two

35:07

ten knowing that Hamlin

35:10

and Reddick in particular, I think those two

35:12

guys and Christopher Bell shouldn't leave him out.

35:14

Could be very tough here.

35:15

Yeah, no, I like that Toyota

35:18

two ten number. A lot of the chevyes

35:20

I like, But right now I can take out

35:22

two of our favorite Chevy's always been Chase Elliott

35:24

and you know, any of the Hendrick Chevvies,

35:26

and right now two of them mart running will really

35:29

well, So you're really relying on Kyle

35:31

Larson, you know, it's just really

35:33

just kind of a one man show,

35:36

Kyle Busch. Maybe Kyle Larson

35:38

is your main Chevy guy. So

35:41

I think the Toyota actually is a great number. I think

35:43

it should be flip flopped almost.

35:45

Well, and I think it's like I said, I think is one

35:47

throw a blanket over them. So it's really kind of hard to have

35:49

a favorite here.

35:50

You know, something you.

35:51

Just said kind of remind me some Okay, there's

35:54

somebody we have not even mentioned

35:56

his name on this show today. Not one time

35:58

has his name been mentioned this year, this

36:01

this week. And this is the guy who's won

36:03

more races than anybody in the entire

36:05

series this year.

36:08

Is a Chevrolet I named one name.

36:10

So is William Byron?

36:11

Do we think that, well, gosh, his best

36:14

days are behind him. I mean, you know, he's

36:16

in great position to move on and he's going to

36:18

carry a lot of bonus points with him. But

36:20

is Byron just riding around collecting points?

36:22

And people were ready to hand him the trophy? You

36:25

know, halfway through the regular season and at

36:27

Bristol he's got three top tens, two top fives.

36:30

But the difference is they both come in the last two

36:32

races, and Jeff, your favorite thing is what have you

36:34

done for me lately? Third and third

36:36

in the last two races, So there's

36:39

something to be said about that.

36:40

He finished and in fact, we haven't even talked about him is

36:43

Man. We never brought his name.

36:44

Yeah, good point, So good point.

36:46

Okay, Well, speaking of speaking

36:48

of running for the championship, we can and take a look

36:50

at our championship odds and we kind

36:52

of get our little comparison from where we were

36:55

going into the playoffs to where we are now and

36:57

kind of looking at the whole deal. Obviously, one

36:59

guy who made up big leap last

37:01

week was Tyler Reddick.

37:03

We talked about he was a guy at eighteen.

37:04

But it's still eleven to one, still.

37:06

Eleven to one, still eleven to one, and maybe

37:08

but which surprises me knowing we've got a

37:10

road course coming up in the next round of the playoffs,

37:12

so we know how good he is on road courses, So that

37:15

one does surprise me a little bit.

37:16

Uh, we don't really see.

37:18

I don't think a ton of movement, at least

37:20

not movement to There's.

37:21

There's a good side.

37:22

There's three that I like on this right now. Martin

37:24

Treux Junior is plus eight hundred. He's had a bad round,

37:27

Okay, Martin Treux Junior makes it through the next.

37:29

Round, and he was a favorite going in.

37:30

He gets his fifty five points back. So Martin Trux Junior

37:32

plus eight hundred, that's the highest he's going to be

37:35

because once he makes it the next round, he's gonna drop way

37:37

back down. Tyler Redick eleven to

37:39

one, Chris Busher twelve to one, and Christopher Bell

37:41

right there at sixteen to one. Those are three

37:43

that I really do like right now as big

37:45

odds that those are going to drop as

37:47

we get closer to the playoffs.

37:48

And you know the guy, the guy who will

37:51

see a dramatic difference if he makes it into

37:53

the next round. Bubba Wallace was thirty

37:55

five to one when the playoffs started. He's seventy

37:58

five to one now. But he's

38:00

not that many points out of sneaking into the playoffs.

38:02

So if he is able to sneak into the playoffs,

38:05

you're going to see that seventy five to one number drop

38:07

all the way back down, probably to thirty five to

38:09

one.

38:10

I'm with you, all right, Well, last

38:12

week, Brandon, I.

38:13

Think, see, I'm going to claim I haven't

38:15

had many offers yet this season,

38:18

and I'm going to claim new digs I wasn't used to

38:20

looking at the case. You know, it's just all new stuff. You

38:22

know, I don't got Wyatt right here, I'm

38:24

looking through glass. We got the circle

38:26

in the back. It had me off, but

38:28

it's not going to be off two weeks in a row, I'm telling.

38:30

Well, just remember Joe Demaggio got hitting fifty

38:32

six straight games and then he went, oh for four. Everybody's

38:35

got to go four at some point for five

38:37

in your case here. So, uh, we had a couple

38:39

winners last week. The pit crew came

38:41

in with a winner, getting Joey

38:43

Logano to win his group. Congratulations

38:45

to the pit crew. You know, it's so great that

38:47

the pit crew we don't have Wyatt here defending

38:50

himself on on camera now.

38:55

I think they're behind where I was last year.

38:57

Now. Yeah, and my.

38:58

Only win last week was getting Joey Logano

39:01

over Ryan Blaney, So at least it was Joey

39:03

Logano who was giving wins

39:05

to us, which unfortunately

39:07

dropped me down to where I have that little

39:10

minus number right beside.

39:12

Who Who's Who's?

39:15

What's that? How many positive?

39:16

Wife? Forty?

39:17

These cameras are kind of my way. What what what's the positive?

39:20

I'll read it for you. Forty point seven.

39:21

Congratulations yet jeez,

39:24

I think we need to add the last two years

39:26

together.

39:27

In some I'm still positive. I'm positive.

39:29

Probably we wont still be about that point.

39:30

You'd be barely positive. I think after

39:32

last year.

39:33

I don't know, and I'm mumbling because I'm

39:35

disappointed that I'm so far behind you, is what

39:37

I'm doing. Okay, let's get into

39:39

our picks for this week and our fabulous

39:41

pit crew. They get to go first because

39:44

they are last. And what's that that would

39:46

mean?

39:46

Worst is first? Worst

39:48

first.

39:49

So they've got Chase Elliott over Kyle Larson

39:51

at a plus one ten, Kyle Busch to

39:53

finish it in the top three at a plus three fifty.

39:56

Martin Truex Junior go win for Truex

39:59

there at plus two seventy in Group C, Eric

40:01

Jones in Group E, and Michael

40:03

McDowell in Group F, which

40:06

will come as a little disappointment to me

40:09

because we're gonna have some head to heads. Actually,

40:11

we're going to be in agreement on some of these with the pit

40:13

crew. I'm gonna go Tyler Reddick

40:16

for a top three at plus

40:18

four fifty, and the rest of my picks

40:20

will be in the groups. I'm going Kyle

40:22

Larson at plus two fifty to win Group

40:25

A. I like Tyler Reddick in

40:27

Group C, so we're gonna go head to head with the pit crew

40:29

there on Martin Drix Junior. But I do like

40:31

the Eric Jones pick in Group E, and

40:34

I like the Michael McDowell pick in Group

40:36

F.

40:38

All right, I don't dislike some of these that we're

40:40

throwing out. I mean the the

40:42

Kyle Busch top three from the pit crew. I

40:44

think it's very doable. I do like that.

40:47

Unfortunately, I think we're going to give a Jinks to somebody

40:49

here, oh boy. And so that's kind

40:51

of the bummer right now. Last week, do you remember last

40:53

week I said, you know we're going to jinks

40:55

Chase brisco I think I want to go Priest. Priest is

40:57

a tough guy, the eyes, the whole guy

41:00

thing. I said, Nope, nope, sticking with Briscoe.

41:02

And then when the race ended, I looked at the finish and I go,

41:04

I knew I should have gone Priest, and I said I was gonna

41:06

be mad about it, and I was. This week

41:09

I had.

41:10

I may have gotten a text from you with the bad word.

41:12

Yeah, yeah, I had a

41:14

head to head circled chrispher Bell. But

41:17

I'm nope, I'm taking it off off the board.

41:20

With that one off the board, I'm going

41:22

Group B with Chris Boucher U

41:24

Boucher Cash's tickets. He's in Group B. He's

41:27

plus three fifteen. I'm just hoping

41:29

that he has enough to cover Kyle Busch right there. I'm

41:31

going Group C with Tyler Redick. I'm going head to

41:33

head with the pit crew. I think

41:36

that I know Martin's going to go swing and do

41:38

great and blah blah blah. But I think that Tyler

41:40

Redick is just running too well. Sticking

41:42

in the groups. I got Group E with

41:45

Eric Jones. That's where the jinks comes

41:47

in. I do like

41:49

him. I got Group F with Austin

41:51

Dillon when I just after we talked, I did

41:53

some looking on the stats. He is five

41:55

average finish of five spaces higher than

41:58

all three other guys in the group. So

42:00

I like that one. And then my last pick. This

42:02

is why I canceled out the even

42:04

money pick with Christopher Bell Toyota

42:07

plus two ten. I like.

42:10

I think the Toyotas are very very strong right now,

42:12

and looking at how they finished last year. With this new car.

42:14

They also are very strong last year with

42:17

the number of laps led by Christopher

42:20

Bell and what they were able to do there.

42:22

So will you be sending the

42:24

text Eric Jones with apologies before

42:27

the race they ever even starts. Since he's the

42:29

one, who are James Well?

42:30

I don't think he's going to show up to the Brendan gonn Selty

42:32

Blackjack Tournament after what if he hits the

42:34

jinks? So I think we're in trouble.

42:36

Maybe if we pick him, he will show up for the Brendan

42:38

Gone Celebrity Blackjack Tournament which we

42:40

picked him, which everyone should attend on

42:42

Thursday night, October twelfth, at

42:45

the South Point leading into the Las Vegas

42:47

Race, the Brendan Gon Celebrity Blackjack Tournament.

42:49

I did not name it, by the way. I just want that known,

42:52

not my choice of names. Just throw

42:54

that up.

42:54

I may have had something to do with it, because I knew if we put

42:56

his name on it, he had to get us the drivers. But

43:00

I think we've got Kevin Harvick so

43:02

far.

43:02

We got yes, Rick Allen Ring Allen, Kevin

43:05

Harvick.

43:05

Rusty Walls, Rusty Wallace is going to be there.

43:07

We got a couple that are real close. We should butt know

43:09

by the end of the week and we.

43:10

May have a legendary Vegas Golden

43:12

Night as a possibility as a player.

43:15

See here's the fun thing about it, though. What I tell everybody

43:18

I only call the guys I like, and the guys I

43:20

like in the sport are dwindling because I'm you know,

43:22

my guys are going away, so you can imagine

43:25

there's very few guys left that I like. So those names

43:27

are the ones that are going to be there.

43:28

Yeah, in five years, we won't be able to have a tournament

43:30

because anybody, Brenda

43:32

won't know anybody anymore. Well, Brenda, we got about a minute

43:35

left. Talk talk to us about Bristol.

43:37

I mean, did you love it? Did you hate

43:39

it?

43:39

Love it?

43:39

Love it? Absolutely love Bristol. Bristol

43:42

is I'm telling you. The first time I went there,

43:44

we call it the Great Coliseum. I'm telling

43:46

you. Walk through that tunnel Motley, you look up.

43:49

The grand stands are at what thirty five forty

43:51

degrees? The high bank half mile

43:53

you think, I swear, I think a drunk guy can fall from

43:55

the top and hit the racetrack, you know, I mean it's just it's

43:58

that much fun, it's that wild, you

44:01

just everything about it. Jeff is the best.

44:03

Well and I think if there is a bucket

44:06

list place to it to watch your right, this

44:08

race is it, and this is it.

44:10

You're right, the night race at Bristol on

44:12

the concrete, the beating, the banging, the

44:14

huge crowds will get there. Yeah, I'm excited

44:17

to see this race.

44:17

On Saturday Saturday night. Remember, don't forget Saturday night.

44:19

A Saturday night race.

44:20

Okay, that'll do it for us on Gone Racing this

44:23

week, breaking down all things Bristol. Next week,

44:25

we're back to talk about Bristol and kick her off

44:27

the second round of the playoffs.
