This is Gone Racing, Vson's

0:08

premier NASCAR betting podcast. Here

0:10

are your hosts, former NASCAR driver Brendan

0:12

Gone and Las Vegas Motor Speedways.

0:14

Jeff Motley. You're welcoming everybody

0:16

to another fabulous edition of Gone Racing.

0:19

Whyatt, Tomshak filling in for our good buddy Jeff

0:21

Motley and of course Brendan Gone hanging out the Vson

0:24

studio at the South Point Hotel, Casino, spa

0:26

resort. Whatever oil you want to put with it had

0:29

the green flag. Wyatt, you're on the side of the glass again

0:31

today. Sure you're able

0:33

to give the flags.

0:35

Away, but you know it's a tough,

0:37

tough thing to give away.

0:38

But I told Rob you know, I have a faith,

0:40

and robbed I got a faith, a lot of faith, and Robin I told him I'm

0:42

going on the flag and he did not give us

0:44

the flag at the beginning of the race.

0:46

So we're we're on a black flag.

0:47

Black flag already. But hey, he

0:49

was more on time than I was last week.

0:52

That is true.

0:53

You don't blame the Vegas rain, you

0:55

with getting within five minutes of it raining

0:57

in Vegas.

0:58

Bravo, And listen, I've and

1:00

that's the second week in row. I've done that professionally,

1:03

unprofessional hair gone racing. I

1:06

love it. So we had a

1:08

I don't want to say it was not a good race at

1:11

Indianapolis. The race was a

1:13

good race for some of the fans at home.

1:16

The drivers did their job. We talked about this, what

1:18

maybe three or four weeks ago Richmond, Richmond

1:20

where you know, no cautions. The drivers did their jobs

1:23

right. We did a great job. One caution flag

1:25

lap five and then without stage break cautions

1:27

and road racing, they went back to running road courses

1:29

on atcheral. They had one hell

1:31

of a race, and one hell of a race by what

1:34

a hell of a guy that we said was going

1:36

to be good. But goodness, gracious,

1:39

not that good. Eight fifty

1:41

four of the eighty something laps. My

1:44

god, Michael McDowell on the front Row team just

1:47

dominated that show.

1:48

Unbelievable. I mean, Michael McDowell, you know, throughout

1:50

his career has been a grinder to get to this spot.

1:53

He's had a lot of starting parks.

1:54

And he's look daytona five hundred champion, you

1:56

know, I mean, he's no but never dominated

1:59

a race.

2:00

I mean, yeah, they toy five hundred. Look, will

2:02

he ever be taken away from sight? But he he got

2:05

it whin two cars wrecked and he was just able to squeak

2:07

on by this one. Absolutely dominated

2:09

from start to finish, and he beat out some really

2:12

really good drivers Brandon Chase, Elliott,

2:14

Daniel Swarez, Tyler Reddick, Chase, Brisco Truex,

2:16

Junior Larson. I mean, these are the guys that we expect

2:19

to win week in and week out. Nobody

2:21

really came close to him.

2:22

Now. The only one that had a shot Daniel

2:24

Swarez, and they had, oh god,

2:26

just crushing pit stop. If you did the math

2:29

on where everybody finished, Daniel

2:31

Swares had a twenty three second pit

2:33

stop. He lost the

2:35

race by five seconds. So Daniel

2:38

Swarez should have come out with a massive lead, locked

2:40

that other trackhouse team in the playoffs and off they

2:43

go instead. Michael McDowell,

2:45

And how about the numbers here we talked about him, why

2:47

twenty eight to one to win. His

2:50

top three number was a plus seven hundred

2:53

Group C, which we all normally jump on Michael

2:55

McDowell, but he was in Group C last week and went, oh

2:57

dang it, he was up against him.

2:59

He was up with Shane. Yeah, if

3:01

Shane was not in that group, I probably would

3:03

have.

3:03

Jumped on it.

3:04

Yeah, but you know plus two fifty there and then Ford,

3:07

Hey how about Ford plus three thirty?

3:10

Third win in a row for our guys

3:12

at Ford. I mean that's a

3:15

and you said it before the show started. Three

3:18

style tracks.

3:19

Yeah, you know, you get the short track at Richmond, intermedia

3:21

track at Michigan, and now the road course ht

3:23

Indy. And they're doing it with we

3:25

think is the lower teams.

3:27

With Ford.

3:28

It's not Stuart Haas, it's not Penske, it

3:30

is RFK Racing and Front Row

3:32

Motorsports and they're dominating these these races as

3:34

well.

3:35

It's not cheap wins, No, absolutely not. I

3:37

mean when you talk Chris Buscher, once again, another guy

3:39

we don't expect to be dominant, right, He's won a

3:41

couple of races, had a fog win years ago, had

3:43

all these things, but we don't expect like a Chris

3:46

Buscher to dominate. Michael McDowell, Chris

3:48

Buscher, they have flat out dominated races,

3:50

won them an amazing style and I I kind

3:53

of chuckled, you know last year are

3:55

uh you know, Brad Keselowski takes over OURFK.

3:57

We all go how big of a difference can he make? Of course,

3:59

on this show, certain people are

4:03

massive Brad Keselowski fans, and

4:05

so he's been on the bandwagon a long time. I

4:07

got to give crops to the bandwagon guy

4:09

over here.

4:10

We just need Brad to get a win.

4:11

But we talked about

4:13

what Brad would do. And then there was a

4:16

side note last year that happened in the offseason

4:19

that front Row Motorsports

4:21

went from engineering and assistance

4:23

from Stuart Hawss and they switched

4:25

over to RFK. Little side note. Nobody

4:27

talked about it, Nobody really made big deal out of it.

4:29

Kind of a nothing move, right, and

4:32

even I went, why would they leave Stuart Haass? I mean, Stuart

4:34

Hawss's, you know, that's the team.

4:37

Apparently it's a brilliant move because even without this,

4:39

when Michael McDowell has been in the playoffs

4:42

almost the entire time, maybe two points out,

4:44

five points in, two points out, and the

4:46

two normal superstars

4:48

of Ford Penske Racing

4:51

and Stuart Hawss are not the superstars.

4:53

Yeah, I mean we were talking about it before the show. If

4:55

I'm Stuart hawas I'm looking at the Sea Meeting and wondering

4:57

what the heck is going wrong here? We've not

5:00

won a race so far this year. RFK has two, and

5:02

now Front Row Motorsports, who dumped us to

5:04

go to RFK, has

5:06

a win and they dominated us Right

5:09

now. For Stuart Haas, Kevin Harvick is

5:11

almost guaranteed to get in. I think he just needs

5:13

to start the race at Watkins Glenn and I think he's in

5:15

on points. But the rest of the

5:17

three not come close to winning a race.

5:20

No, it's it's gonna be. They got some soul

5:22

searching to do over there. Let's look at the rest of the top ten

5:24

though. Chase Elliot, remember I said I'm betting

5:26

on Chase el It every week. Almost there

5:28

was right there Wyatt plus

5:31

two ten for a top three, Daniel Sorez the plus

5:33

five hundred, and then Tyler Reddick, who continues

5:35

the super star strong runs on road courses.

5:37

Right there, a guy that I poop pued pretty bad

5:39

last week. Alex Bowman comes home with a nice solid

5:41

top five. Needed that, especially if he has

5:43

any dreams of making this on points. He's

5:46

gotta save that there. Even though with the win

5:48

it puts him a little further back. Chase Briscoe's

5:51

another road course guy, and we'd have a good run Martin Truex.

5:53

There is Larson, Chrisopher Bell, and

5:55

then of course Shane Van Giesbergen. Two starts,

5:58

one win, two top tens, continues

6:00

that and lots of news swirling around him that he

6:02

will be full time. It looks like next year in

6:05

as.

6:06

Good starts of the career for for Shane who got a little

6:08

bit of taste of short track racing. Uh in

6:10

the truck race top to I mean you two starts,

6:12

two top ten finishes, that that really listened

6:15

up the confidence.

6:15

The bad news is it can only go downhill, I know. But

6:19

you know.

6:19

Another person that you know stood out

6:22

to me was was what Chase Elliott did. I think

6:24

Chase Elliott showed that he's kind of

6:26

got his mojo back at the road courses. It was a little

6:28

up and down that race. I mean he

6:30

was he drove a phenomenal race, and

6:32

we look at the odds here for Watkins

6:34

Glenn coming up later. It

6:37

shows I mean it's really gonna be hard to find anything to

6:39

bet for Chase Elliott, but him Daniel

6:41

Swarz and then Tyler Reddick. I thought final, you know, had

6:43

that clean race. I think that was big. I

6:45

mean they were they were really shooting themselves in the foot on

6:47

the track on Pitt Road, you know, so

6:50

that was a good race I believe for Tyler Reddick to

6:52

kind of get that momentum back and just run a

6:54

nice clean race.

6:55

Yeah, no, no mistakes, just and the mistakes

6:58

Daniel Swariz, it's what cost him this ought

7:00

to win. Let's look at our season

7:02

standings real quick before we get to those odds

7:04

for another road course race, back to back at Watkins

7:06

Glenn and your points leader

7:08

is still Martin Truex Junior for the regular season

7:11

title at eight hundred and thirty points, pulling away right now

7:13

from a fading William Byron. Byron

7:17

was what five six weeks ago we said he was the hottest

7:19

guy in the sport and you know, couldn't stop talking

7:21

about him. Now kind of faded

7:23

off, but still your playoff standings leader with

7:25

the four wins. Kyle Busch bad day,

7:28

was running good, had some engine problems near the end. He's

7:30

still up there. But with that win, when we go to

7:32

that cutoff line, when you get to the win that

7:35

move. We talked about it. It was really

7:37

tight for the cutoff line, and less one of those guys outside

7:39

one, well, guess what, one of those guys in the outside one

7:42

gave himself a little breathing room. So now Bubba

7:44

Wallace he has a twenty eight

7:46

point lead over Daniel Suarez

7:49

for the cut line, and Ty Gibbs

7:51

now has a bigger gap than he had

7:53

before to get himself back in there.

7:55

This is a very Michael McDowell

7:57

winning really kind of screwed everything up. Now after bubble

7:59

loss, you are nervous because you go to a place

8:01

like Watkins, Glenn has had a lot of success at. Then

8:04

Chase Elliott goes and wins. Yeah, boom, Bubbas, you're

8:06

out of there. And then Daytona you're like, okay, we've ran

8:08

well, but everybody can win at Daytona. So

8:11

you're real nervous. And I even think Brad's a

8:13

little nervous as well with that

8:15

win. But I mean for Chase Elliott, Daniel

8:17

Swarz, hey we finished second and third, it'd be a good

8:19

points day, right, Not really because

8:21

with McDowell winning, Swarez, who was minus five

8:23

to start the race is now minus twenty eight going

8:26

into Watkins Glen and

8:28

for Chase Elliott, he went from minus fifty

8:30

points out yeah, to midas eighty points.

8:32

That's out. So it's amazing.

8:34

It's like you thought you had a good day and all of a sudden, it's like,

8:36

wow, we were farther behind them when we started.

8:37

And look, want to talk about a cut off line.

8:40

Let's say we do get a Chase Elliott win this weekend

8:42

that puts Brad Kiselowski Kevin Harvick on

8:44

the bubble. That's a two point deal, that's

8:47

right.

8:47

Yeah.

8:47

Now you go off into Daytona

8:50

and you get a random winner, the cutoff

8:52

line becomes two points between Brad Keselowski

8:54

and Kevin Harvick, you know so. I mean it's

8:56

definitely going to be a nail

8:59

bider all the way till the end of this playoffs,

9:01

which is why NASCAR has done such a great job

9:03

I think, in my opinion with changing the schedule

9:05

and how they have done it, I love it.

9:07

I think it's I love that Daytona is the final

9:09

race of the year. It just creates a stick

9:12

case.

9:12

It gives that chaos that you're looking for and

9:15

so that's what we're talking about. The upcoming schedule that we got

9:17

right here. You end up with the goal balling

9:19

at the Glenn with walkins Glenn this weekend, which

9:21

the back to back Jeff talked about it last week

9:23

back to back road course races.

9:26

You could have maybe swapped a little Michigan weekend

9:28

done like they did in twenty twenty two where

9:30

they had a weekend in between, but maybe that's what

9:33

the teams wanted. Then, of course you go to the

9:35

Coke zero Sugar four hundred at

9:37

Daytona, the playoff, the cutoff race.

9:39

I would say, right now, your regular season point leader

9:42

is going to win it. Martin Truck Junior, He's going

9:44

to get those bonus points and that's a big

9:46

deal to get that. And then

9:48

you start the playoffs. I mean the

9:51

Southern five hundred in Darlington, no better place.

9:53

And you remember that race last year a lot

9:56

of playoff drivers struggled and Aaron

9:58

Jones, Yeah, I mean, actually

10:00

I think last year in the first three races was

10:03

playoff drivers.

10:04

Jeff and I remember got in the argument about all the guys,

10:07

you know, we got so many winners right after the cutoff

10:09

line. It was like dah uh. Then we go to Kansas

10:11

Hollywood Casino four hundred and then we

10:13

end up at the Bristol Bass Pro Shops

10:16

Night Race. Favorite race of the season,

10:18

honestly one of my favorites.

10:19

Good I The.

10:20

Bristol Night Race is always is like one of the crown jewels

10:24

of NASCAR, and that's a race where I look at for RFK

10:26

if with Busher won it last year and the way he's been

10:28

running, that could be another way you.

10:30

Can get themselves into the next round really easy with

10:33

with with the way the Bass Pro Shops works out

10:35

the way that that Brad Keseloski runs there and Busher

10:37

ran there last year, so.

10:39

Brad should have won that race last year. And I was so

10:41

I was, I was ready.

10:42

I was ready to come into gone race and

10:44

I was gonna be like I told all y'all.

10:46

And then he blew his tire and I had about

10:48

five people text me, oh.

10:50

You were close, so hey, so close.

10:53

It's so far far. Uh

10:55

So Walkin's Glenn super fun road course. Wish

10:57

they'd a had the boot back. That's a story for another day.

10:59

I could tell stories about the boot, but

11:02

you actually have a picture with the boot in there by the

11:04

way that it's a two point four to five mile road

11:07

course, ninety return turn

11:09

one. The race is Sunday, August

11:11

twentieth at three Eastern time, and the

11:13

back to back winner is Kyle Larson the last

11:15

two years. That picture is the actual

11:18

full course right there that you had up on.

11:19

When did they give it the boot?

11:20

They've never used it in Nascar and Bill France won't

11:22

use it, gotcha?

11:23

Okay? I was gonna ask real quick before we go to

11:25

break what part of that track is the most difficult

11:27

part?

11:28

So the problem I have you've heard me talk about the

11:30

NASCAR Rising, is there's a word that I

11:32

could slip in there. Of road courses, it

11:35

used to be turn one. Now you've made this forty

11:37

acre field of turn one and I'm

11:40

just not the same. All Right,

11:42

we come back. We'll get you the job we're supposed

11:44

to do the odds when we return.

12:10

This is Gone Racing fi Sin's

12:12

premier NASCAR betting podcast. You

12:14

are your hosts former NASCAR driver Brendan

12:16

Gohn and Las Vegas Motor Speedways

12:19

Jeff Motley.

12:21

And the green flag is out on time this year, we

12:23

freshly nrofessional. We got this done today. Golf Club,

12:25

Golf Club, Golf Club Wyatt, Tom

12:28

Jack filling in for my good buddy mister Jeff Motley. Jeff

12:30

is in places unknown today.

12:32

He told me he was golf outing. I think he guys,

12:36

well.

12:36

Golf clap is very approprisan, So

12:39

welcome back in. We are talking walkings Glenn now the go

12:42

bowling at the Glen and we got some

12:44

great track records at this track. There are some guys that

12:46

really and you kick off the list right

12:48

off the bat. You got to talk about Kyle Larson won the last

12:50

two races. He's only got eight starts

12:52

there, two wins, five top tens.

12:54

That's pretty phenomenal. But how about you go down just

12:56

a couple of rows there, Kyle Busch, I

12:59

mean thirteen top tens and seventeen

13:02

races and the Dinger. I'm

13:04

high on the Dinger, but I'm a little nervous right now. But he's

13:06

got seven top tens and eleven starts. I mean, there's

13:09

some guys with amazing track records here.

13:11

Yeah, like you said with Aj, you

13:14

want to be high on him, but unfortunately something's

13:17

just off with him, and especially on the road courses

13:19

this year.

13:19

Something's off Indy.

13:20

Indy.

13:20

He did not come close. I know he got taken out by Ryan Blaney,

13:22

but they went.

13:23

Road America in the Ffinity car Indian.

13:25

The cup car that has cut has just not been on.

13:28

Look at the two guys at the bottom of that screen there though, the

13:30

stat that Karna pulls up right there, Eric

13:32

Jones four starts, five top tens

13:35

or five starts four top tens and

13:37

Daniel Suarez three top fives

13:39

and five starts.

13:40

Daniel Swarz, that's the one that popped out to me doing the notes

13:42

last night. I'm like, he's really liking this

13:45

track. And after that nice performance

13:48

at Indy, to go along with the nice

13:50

performance at Michigan, I mean, if we

13:52

go to the odds, that might be a guy that I might

13:54

be picking to win.

13:55

Yeah, I mean those two guys right there, we gonna

13:57

definitely have to talk to them, at least at the top threes when we get

13:59

there, and there's going to be in the conversation. Let's

14:01

get to our odds to win the race, and wow,

14:04

I hate these numbers. Yow

14:07

yow yo DraftKings. Hey what are we doing?

14:10

Baby?

14:10

Uh?

14:11

Chase Elliott plus three fifty is

14:13

your favorite. I

14:15

guess nobody's gonna bet Chase Elliott this week, or somebody

14:17

bet him big before the race started or something.

14:20

I don't know, but Chase Elliott

14:22

is your favorite. Plus three fifty Kyle Larson, which

14:24

would, in my opinion, should be the favorite. Plus five hundred,

14:27

Martin Trex Junior six fifty, Tylerdic eight hundred,

14:29

Michael McDowell and Christopher Bell both at

14:32

ten, Daniel Suarez eleven, Kyle Busch, a j

14:34

Almeninger twelve, Chris Buscher out there

14:36

at eighteen to one, Denny Hamlin twenty,

14:38

William Byron twenty two, Ty Gibbs

14:40

twenty five, Austin Sindrick, Alex Bowman

14:42

thirty's and Kevin Harvick forty five

14:44

to one. That makes me want to jump

14:47

on a Kyle Larson five hundred bet right there. I mean,

14:49

it makes it look so good.

14:50

The guy won back to back races, although he

14:52

did kind of knock Chase out last year, but so

14:54

he still won, still won. I'm surprised

14:57

that he is not the favorite. I think this is this those

14:59

odds are showing up us. Is that

15:01

the odds makers are reacting to what Chase Elliott

15:03

has to do this week and what he did last week at Indy.

15:06

It's like, we know he's going to have he's

15:08

got to win.

15:08

Look, I mean, let's go to the last four races,

15:10

first, first, second, and fourth. I get

15:12

it. Chase Elliott is fantastic here and

15:15

and you mentioned he got bumped out of the way

15:17

to get to lose the race last year with Kyle

15:20

Larson. So I mean that still

15:22

though, I mean, that's wow. I mean

15:26

I've said, what have I said? What have I've been saying for

15:28

what eight weeks?

15:29

Now?

15:30

What I have been saying about Chase Elliot.

15:31

I'm gonna bet him.

15:33

I can't bet him to window it.

15:34

Three Fifty's gracious, it's time.

15:36

When I looked at the odds for Chase Elliott this week, I

15:38

was I was not happier, man.

15:40

I mean, give me something to bet on with him, at

15:42

least. I mean, I gotta find a bet for him. But I think

15:44

he can win. But three fifty or not to that might

15:46

be the lowest number we've seen since the Big three Days.

15:48

I mean, that's pretty paltry there. Let's

15:52

get to the second page real quick. Though, because there are some

15:54

numbers on the second page that also kind

15:56

of stand out to me. And right off the back

15:58

Joey Logano at forty five to one,

16:00

Ross Chastain and Chase Briscoe both

16:03

fifty to one, h Ryan

16:05

Blaney sixty five, Brad k sixty five, and

16:07

then the long shot skill in stenhouse Hunter

16:09

one hundred and fifty, Hayley one or fifty, Eric Jones

16:11

won. Eric Jones won fifty. We just talked about

16:14

him, you know, five top four, top

16:16

fives out of five races. I

16:18

mean there's some that that

16:20

that's worth taking a peek at at least,

16:22

but Ross Chastain fifty to one high.

16:26

Do we remember that Ross Chastain won at

16:29

won a road course race a few races ago out

16:31

of Dakota, And yeah, you know we remember that Ross

16:33

Chastain has run pretty well at some

16:35

now this year, little suspect. But you

16:38

know, still, that's that's a high number

16:40

for a guy that's got to win in the last ten races.

16:42

I'm glad you brought up Ross. That was one that that popped

16:44

out to me. But right now, and

16:46

I I'll say this all the time, it's consistency with me

16:48

and Ross Chastain has one top

16:50

ten in the past seven races and in the

16:53

any race didn't really come close

16:55

to a top ten yet again, so I

16:57

just don't I don't know what Tom with you

16:59

this team, but.

17:00

Fifty to one, man, that's I mean there, there's Ross

17:02

Chastain fans out there that are salivating right now

17:04

looking at that number. And even Chase Prisco

17:06

coming off a solid top five this last week

17:08

with you know, with their sixth place finish

17:10

at at Indy. I mean, he's

17:13

a guy that's a hell of a road racer. Brad Kazlowski

17:15

has great stats here. We looked at some of those.

17:17

I mean, I also like Joey two

17:19

forty five to one.

17:20

Joey Logano is not a bad road racer, guys.

17:22

I mean Joey Logano, you know, eighth best point

17:24

getter in the last ten road races overall

17:26

and fifth best point getter at at

17:30

Watkins Glenn.

17:30

So yeah, I finished third here last year,

17:32

and I think when we look at correct

17:35

me if I'm wrong, but look at road

17:37

courses that Sonoma and Watkins Glenn are kind

17:39

of some of.

17:39

The kind of a similar vibe.

17:41

He finished third there this year, So I

17:43

mean, I hope that he does better than what he did at

17:45

Indy since we all gave him the kiss of death. But

17:48

that's another number that really popped out to me.

17:50

No, there's some big numbers there, and let's because I want

17:52

to talk about them. For the top threes. I mean, there's some amazing

17:54

numbers on the top three with them Chase Elliott, though,

17:58

I'm definitely okay. I said, I'm betting Chase Elliott week.

18:00

I promise you it's not going to be the win. It's not going

18:02

to beat for a top three. Apparently Chase

18:04

Elliot is your favorite. Plus one hundred.

18:07

That is once again one of the lowest ones we've seen since

18:09

the old Big three days where there are minuses for the top

18:11

three. Kyle Larson is plus one

18:13

forty, Martin Truex Junior plus one eighty, Tyler

18:15

Reddick two twenty five, Michael McDowell two seventy

18:18

five, Christophervel there with him, Daniel Swearez

18:20

three hundred, Kyle Busch and aj Almendinger

18:22

three thirty had a pretty decent jump. Chris

18:24

Buscher plus five hundred, Denny

18:26

Hamlin five to fifty, William Byron six ty Gibbs

18:29

seven, Austin Cindric, Alex Bowman at eight,

18:31

and then Kevin Harvick double digits there at

18:33

the at the twelve to

18:35

one.

18:37

You know what number jumps out to me is Chris

18:39

Buscher.

18:39

I'm glad

18:41

you brought last week. He ended

18:43

his streak of top ten's on a road course if it's six

18:45

eleven, yeah, and it kind of stopped

18:48

his streak of the road

18:50

course top ten streak that he had been going on.

18:52

Now the problem with him is at

18:56

Watkins Glenn, he's only got one top ten and seven starts.

18:59

Okay, I get this may not be his favorite

19:01

road course, but it's still

19:04

he has been on fire on these road courses and

19:06

you're telling me I can get him right now at five hundred

19:08

for a top three. It's not bad.

19:10

Seventh is what he was last year in this race, So

19:13

I don't dislike that. But Ty Give has been on

19:15

fire too.

19:16

That I was looking at guys also

19:18

who needs to get a win yep, And you know that they're

19:20

going to have to play take a swing yep.

19:22

So like aj Syndric.

19:24

Ty Gibbs, Chase Briscoe,

19:27

like you, they know that they this

19:29

is probably their I mean Daytona.

19:31

Daytona also, but you can't. But everybody has. Everybody

19:34

everybody has. You're naming guys that have

19:36

road race, really good road racers that

19:39

think they can do it here, right. I mean

19:41

that Aj Allmendinger, he thinks he can

19:43

do it here.

19:44

And I got to think with Aj that he is

19:46

going to have he better do so he

19:48

has to have a bounce back. I mean, he that what

19:51

they put out there at Indy was just it

19:53

wasn't what we saw in years past. I mean, he won the first

19:55

Indie road course race and then

19:57

this year just I don't think

20:00

he's had the same I don't

20:02

know the words to describe it, but just the same fire

20:04

there that he did with when he was a part time driver.

20:06

Look go to twenty twenty two ninth, seventh,

20:08

second, fourth, twenty twenty

20:10

three, thirty fourth, six seventeen, twenty sixth

20:12

on the road races, he's not the same Aj.

20:17

Let's get to the back page of the top three because

20:19

here's some amazing numbers that I think

20:22

I might even jump on a couple of these. Long. Why you

20:25

need what you need two of these to hit? Because to catch us

20:27

Joey Logano twelve to one, Ross Chastang,

20:29

Trace Prisco fourteen, Ryan Blaney

20:32

sixteen with Brad Keselowski, Todd

20:34

Gillen twenty five, then Ricky Stenhouse, Justin

20:36

Haley, Eric Jones, Bubba Wallace, Austin

20:38

Dillon all at forty. We just talked about

20:40

that Eric Jones number. Eric

20:43

Jones has four top

20:45

tens. Eric Jones

20:47

has five races. Here. In his five races,

20:50

average finished eleven point two, tenth, fifth,

20:52

fourth, twenty seventh, tenth.

20:55

I mean runs well.

20:56

Here, yeah, like I said, finished tenth

20:58

last year. And here's another thing is what

21:01

we saw. You know, at the road courses, there's no stage

21:03

breaks, so you are guaranteed if everyone

21:05

drives right, you're gonna have some wacky

21:07

strategies.

21:08

Yep. You don't know the old school road race

21:10

strategies.

21:10

You know.

21:11

And some of these guys that are desperate for a win, they're

21:13

going to kind of gamble and try

21:15

to win it on fuel strategies. So you look at those guys

21:17

with those big numbers, they're gonna take

21:19

a big swing at it.

21:21

And look, you got a guy like Mike Rockenfeller that

21:23

we didn't get to sixty five to one for a top three.

21:25

He's in a full time team. That's the biggest difference.

21:28

You know, we don't mention Andy Lali's not on here. Andy

21:30

Laally is one of the greatest road racers

21:32

of all time in America. He's

21:34

in He's not even listed as a top

21:36

three or a win. But that's because he's on a

21:39

team that runs full time. But it's Rickware is not quite

21:41

that organization. But Legacy

21:43

Motorclub is a full time,

21:45

supposed to be premier team. They're not acting

21:48

that way yet. But that's a guy right

21:50

there that got a ton. I mean, remember he went

21:52

over and drove a cup car at Lama for twenty four

21:54

freakin' hours, you know what I mean. So this

21:56

is a guy that has a lot of experience in this car

21:58

and did a lot of testing at this True, he

22:00

could do well. I'm not saying I'm

22:03

going to bet him for the sixty five to one, but Rockefeller

22:05

could do something.

22:06

You don't have to bet him for sixty five to one. I have to bet

22:08

him it, So.

22:08

You need to better fore Yeah, I

22:11

could. I could foreshadow and get to that last page

22:13

and go, yeah, you still wouldn't

22:15

catch me at sixty five to one man.

22:17

It's it's been a rough year.

22:18

He'd be right behind me though, you know.

22:20

But like like like I said, like I said at the

22:22

beginning of the show, I did that graphic to motivate

22:24

you and Jeff, and I feel like I've accomplished.

22:26

That motivate me and Jeff. I

22:29

gotcha. Okay, Well,

22:31

we've gone through our top threes, we've gone through the

22:33

winds. A little foreshadowing

22:35

again, head heads aren't quite as exciting as we

22:37

get sometimes.

22:38

It's another one.

22:38

If you want to bet Chase Elliott in Headheads, guarantee

22:41

you financ find I Chase elliottbt. We

22:43

come back. We're going to try to find

22:45

me at Chase Elliot Bet because we still have the head dead

22:48

matchups, we have our group matchups, and we

22:50

still have our prop bets when we return, So we come

22:52

back. I got to find me at Chase Elliot Bet. Stay

22:54

tuned.

23:46

check and I toyat my buddy filling in

23:48

for old mister Jeff Motley. Not behind the glass Rob

23:50

of course, manning the flags today doing

23:53

a fine, a rough start, but he smoothed

23:55

it out.

23:56

You know, he helps out with first strike. We know it's

23:58

not how you strike first, how you strike last.

24:05

Wow, professionally, I'm professional, right there?

24:06

Okay, okay, no retreat, no surrender. Oh yeah,

24:09

thank you. Black flag on that one. I am right

24:11

there. I was sitting in. I haven't given my picks

24:13

out yet, that black flagging before

24:15

the picks even. We are

24:17

getting into our head to head matchups and there's some

24:19

really cool head to heads. But the problem is I

24:21

have a deal that I'm supposed to bet to Chase Elliott bet every

24:24

race this every week for the rest of this year,

24:26

and I cannot find a Chase Elliott bet this week.

24:28

To pick one. Matter of fact, right off

24:31

the bat, Wyatt Kyle Larson,

24:33

the man who won the last how many races here in a row

24:35

two and he is plus one twenty

24:37

five and a head to head. Ah

24:40

so d d D D

24:43

D D D D D the I think that's

24:45

the ticker that says that is the luck of the

24:47

week for me right now? Really plus one twenty

24:49

five in a head to head for Kyle Larson.

24:50

So my question to you is, you know Chase

24:53

Elliott needs to win if you're going, you know, down

24:56

to the wire here, does Kyle Larson kind of ease

24:58

up a little bit to let Chase go?

25:00

I to get listen, NASCAR has

25:02

a lot of team working

25:05

with each other, but nobody just flat out

25:07

pulls over for somebody to win a freaking race. I

25:09

might get out of the way for like, if listen, third,

25:12

four, fifth, if I whatever,

25:14

get out of the way. You know, I don't want to, But no,

25:16

if I'm going for a win, I don't care what it means

25:18

to you versus what it means to me. I'm going for a win,

25:21

and I think most people have that feeling.

25:23

Kyle Larson has had a rough couple of weeks. Kyle Larson

25:25

would love to get off that Schneider and get a win. So

25:28

I just I look at that number and it screams

25:30

at me right off the bat. Even Martin Trurex

25:32

Junior, who's the number one point getter in the last ten

25:35

races at Watkins, Glenn Martin

25:38

Turex Junior, he's plus one twenty five.

25:40

I mean, dude, they're all over here. A j Ollender, here's

25:42

a plus one twenty, Austin Sindris

25:44

a plus one twenty versus any Hamlin.

25:47

The AJ one I like against Christopher Bell. You

25:50

know Christopher Bell this year, we just

25:52

don't know what he's gonna.

25:54

When he shows up.

25:54

Yeah, when is he gonna show up? What consistency is

25:56

he gonna have? What is the crew gonna do? So

25:59

that one I like, although it's just really tough

26:01

right now just finding what

26:04

that team's gonna have with AJ.

26:06

You know AJ.

26:07

The problem is you don't know which AJ is going to show up right

26:09

now, and that's a big problem. But you

26:12

still you got aj against Daniel Swarez at won ten.

26:15

You got h Sworez against

26:17

Michael McDowell, and even money McDowell maybe taking

26:19

a week to find they've been. They have been. If there's a

26:21

team that has been scratching and clawing, right,

26:24

it's been the McDowell team. I mean, Travis's crew

26:26

chief has been making these gutsy calls. I

26:28

mean, this dude's got steel ones hanging from

26:30

the from the pit box review mirror. He has

26:32

been just throwing them things out there, going that's right.

26:35

You know, I clink when I walk. He can

26:37

finally take a week and go.

26:41

Just a big yeah.

26:42

I mean that's exactly it. So I mean I kind

26:44

of make I don't see a letdown week for

26:46

Michael McDowell, but I see a

26:48

week that they could all take a breather and go,

26:51

oh, thank god, that was awesome. So I

26:53

don't know if I like that. But Dinger's got plus one twenty

26:55

plus one ten plus one, ten plus one twenty

26:58

and Dinger's all over this board. If he's going

27:00

to have that comeback, you can bet the Dinger

27:02

do line and make some money.

27:04

I definitely agree. You mentioned the Austin Cindric

27:07

over Denny Hamlin. I'm just not liking what Cindric's

27:09

doing this year.

27:10

Yeah, but you look at the road courses, he's flat

27:12

out I mean, just bet go road racing

27:14

in general. Six top tens, average finished

27:16

ten to ten point five for Austin Cindric, last

27:18

ten road races. Let me scroll

27:21

down this screen. I know you're looking at the same page.

27:23

I am. Scroll down that screen

27:26

all the way to nineteenth average

27:28

finish in nineteen point five, zero top tens

27:30

and ten road races for Denny Hamlin.

27:33

So I may not like what Cindric's been doing,

27:36

but Cindrics flat out been putting it to Denny

27:38

in the last ten road races. So I head

27:40

to head wise, Cindrics beat him. I think

27:42

nine out of ten.

27:44

Don't disagree.

27:47

A little side action.

27:48

No, No, I've already lost. I've already

27:50

lost too many bets this year. I can't afford another

27:52

one.

27:53

All right, Well, let's get into, of course, our favorite part, and

27:55

that's our group matchups. And we start off with

27:57

Group A. And once again I said, folks,

27:59

you're we're supposed to try to find me a place to bet chase Elliott

28:02

this week and we are not finding many places

28:04

for me to successfully want to bet Chase Elliott. Chase

28:06

Elliot your favorite group at plus one ninety, Kyle Larson

28:09

is two eighty with Martin Trux Junior two eighty, and then

28:11

three sixty for Tyler Redick.

28:16

Like I hate these numbers, but then again, I look at

28:18

what Chase Elliott's done here and it's justified.

28:20

You know, it's he's

28:22

been one of the best, best of the best, not only road

28:25

courses, but at Watkins Glen. You

28:27

know, Kyle Larson won the past two races here. Plus

28:29

two eighty like that value, I

28:31

don't know how high I am on TRUEX in this group.

28:33

And then Tyler Reddick. We've talked about him being

28:36

really strong this year and also with

28:39

road course racing, but he said after the race

28:41

when he was interviewed by NBC, he feels like he's

28:43

a little bit behind other guys at the track and that

28:45

kind of spooks me away from

28:48

him.

28:48

In this group.

28:49

I mean, Tyler Redick as good as he's

28:51

been, you know, this this is one that

28:54

it's a tough group to pick, but one ninety. Look,

28:56

I can pick Chase Elliott to win at

28:58

what three point thirty? I

29:00

can get him for a top three at one hundred or

29:03

his group at one ninety. Not a lot of coin

29:05

there to be. They're just not giving me any

29:07

really chance to bet on him. But

29:10

Chase Leek I could as the bet. I could

29:12

take Old Larsen to win and

29:15

Chase Elliott and the group and top

29:18

three for TRUEX And see if I

29:20

balance my way through all I can balance my way

29:22

through all of them.

29:23

See what you can do when you're you're so far ahead

29:25

of us Right now, I.

29:26

Can play some games. Let's get into Group

29:28

B. Group B is leads off the way with Daniel Suarez,

29:30

who's coming off that big letdown last week, should

29:32

have had a chance to win at plus two thirty five, Christopher

29:34

Bell, Kyle Busch at two sixty and the Dinger

29:37

at three twenty five, and Group B that

29:39

Kyle Busch was intriguing. Kyle had a great

29:41

run last week and had a motor go south

29:43

right there at the end, ended up a lap down after finishing

29:46

sixth in both stages. Kyle's

29:48

six top tens last nine races. Sorry,

29:51

that's Kurt, not Kyle. Kyle

29:53

at Watkins Glenn last ten races

29:56

has been second best one win,

29:58

seven top tens, one

30:01

win four top fives last ten races, so

30:03

Bush two sixty.

30:04

The two people that I'm looking at this group are the two

30:06

guys that need to win. Daniel and AJ. You

30:09

talk about Kyle busch Man, they do not have it right

30:11

now. They are struggling. They have a lot of bad luck,

30:13

some rex unfortunate problems with the engine

30:15

before the five. Last four of the

30:17

past five races he's finished twenty first or

30:20

worse, with three of them being outside the top thirty.

30:22

Even tweeted afterwards, I don't know what I'm doing right now.

30:24

It's so right now with that a team,

30:26

it's just I think it's that summer slump that we see

30:29

with a lot of drivers. So it's hard for

30:31

me to kind of back Kyle in this group. And

30:33

another thing with Christopher Bell good Rod Course racer,

30:36

but you just don't know what you're gonna get with the twenty team.

30:38

I like it. I mean I could book in that. Just the AJ

30:40

thing. Like you and I both say, it's there's something

30:42

wrong with AJ right now and we don't know what it is.

30:45

And that leads me back to Daniel swaz who's coming

30:47

off a great race weekend last weekend, and

30:49

I think they got it right now. I mean they're

30:52

peaking at the right time and he's good here three top

30:54

fives and five races. So I do like Daniel

30:56

Swarez probably in group B. That's that's kind of

30:58

my favorite right there. Let's go

31:00

into group C and we have this last week's winner

31:02

leading off the way in group CEE Michael McDowell. Look

31:04

at this for Michael mcdell.

31:06

In Group C.

31:07

Even he's in group F some weeks.

31:09

He is a plus one seventy

31:11

five favorite in Group C,

31:14

with our buddy Chris Buscher right there at plus

31:16

two twenty, then William Byron three

31:18

to seventy and Ty Gibbs four hundred.

31:21

Whoa wow.

31:25

It's it's amazing to see these odds change. Westgate

31:28

Man. Look, Ty Gibbs ain't a slouch

31:30

on these road races. He's been running pretty dang good.

31:33

I mean, I'll tell

31:35

you what, Brendan. The one I like in this group I think is Chris

31:38

Buscher. So what man, I finally get to

31:40

bet him one and they'd have him in the group for Richmond

31:42

or Michigan, which we definitely would have bet him.

31:45

Now he's back, I think in a favorable one. I

31:47

don't know, you know, McDowell, this isn't

31:49

has been. It hasn't been his best road course.

31:52

He did finish top ten here last year, I think six,

31:54

but it was his first time he finished in the top ten of Watkins

31:56

Glen. I think I'm gonna go with Buscher

31:58

here. Byron last

32:00

year finished twenty seconds.

32:02

I don't let me give you this. You're telling me it's

32:04

four hundred, and you got Ty Gibbs

32:06

who this year on road this year ninth,

32:10

then a bad race at Sonoma, the ninth

32:12

at Chicago, twelfth at Indy, solid

32:16

trying to run for the playoffs. Like you said earlier, William

32:19

Byron hasn't done anything on road courses, even

32:21

when he was the favorite to win the championship. Didn't do anything

32:23

for me on road courses. Chris Buscher has

32:25

been the solid guy, right, solid top tens.

32:27

But Ty Gibbs at plus

32:30

four hundred, I might take the rookie here

32:32

just because this is a great shot,

32:34

man. I mean, plus four hundred, you know they're going to throw

32:37

everything at it. They're going to try to go for that w

32:39

I kind of like the Ty Gibbs plus four hundred number.

32:41

I agree.

32:42

You know, when I've been looking at the guys

32:44

in the groups, who needs to win, Ty Gibbs obviously

32:46

pops out and he's decent here he

32:48

wont an Infinity race back in twenty twenty one. I believe

32:52

it's just so tough when you got two of the hottest drivers

32:54

also in the group. So if

32:56

you're somebody like me who needs to catch up, that's a bet

32:58

to take.

32:59

It's a tough one, a tough one.

33:01

I kind of like it, even in the lead. Let's

33:03

get to group D before we get to break, and that leads off

33:05

the road with Alex Bowman at two ten, Raw

33:08

shast Day too ninety, Chase Prisco to ninety, Ryan Blaney

33:10

two ninety five, kind of weird. Blaney used

33:12

to be so hot on road courses. To see him all the way down

33:14

at a dog at two ninety five. You

33:16

know, Jeff always says there's a group that he doesn't like. This

33:19

is my group that I just don't like.

33:21

This is kind of a yuck group.

33:22

I'm just it's it's none of these guys have really

33:24

shown anything. Bowman had

33:26

a great run last weekend, but that was kind

33:28

of out of character. And would

33:31

I would Lady does, but then but Chase Briscoe.

33:33

Me, I'd go Chase Briscoe just because he's

33:35

got the most experience in me.

33:37

And they finished sixth at Indy

33:39

last week. Although Bowman needs a win, so does Briscos.

33:41

I think those are probably your two guys. Ross

33:43

just struggling too much for me.

33:46

This is this is the group like we always

33:48

talk with Motley group that I just can't

33:50

get into. All right, guys, when we come back, we'll finish our group

33:53

n F get you the props and get.

33:54

You our picks.

34:18

This is Gone Racing, Veisan's

34:20

premier NASCAR betting podcast. You're

34:22

your hosts former NASCAR driver Brendan

34:24

gon and Las Vegas Motor Speedways,

34:26

Jeff Motley.

34:29

And by Jeff Motley, we mean whyat tom check today

34:32

Wyatt filling in for our buddy Jeff, and we are

34:34

in our last segment of Gone Racing and Whyatt.

34:36

We got two more groups to go and two that

34:39

we the names that are

34:41

in group Eta Mere rather

34:43

amusing. Joey Logano is in

34:45

Group E and Joey leads the

34:47

way with at the favorite with two oh five,

34:49

with Kevin Harvick a co favorite. Then you got Brad Keselowski

34:52

three twenty and Eric Jones. Eric Jones,

34:54

who you and I spent a bunch of time giving some stats

34:56

on at four fifteen.

34:59

I like it plus four fifteen. He's

35:01

run well here. But unfortunately

35:03

I think I like Joey just a little

35:06

bit more. I know he really just poop pued

35:08

it yes last week at Indy, But Joey

35:10

really runs well here.

35:11

But so does Brad well. So here's

35:13

the thing with Brad.

35:15

For the past five races at this track, fifteenth or

35:17

worse, and he hasn't had a top ten in a road course this

35:19

year.

35:20

I just don't.

35:20

I think Brad has had a lot of improvements from

35:23

last year and this year, but I just don't think that the road

35:25

courses have been up to his

35:28

standard.

35:29

I like that, Hurt Jones, Man, that hurt Jones.

35:31

It is four fifteen, we said, I mean,

35:34

okay, tenth last year, twenty seventh to eve before

35:36

fifth and fourth though right before that, now those were

35:38

Joe Gibbs years, going back all the way back

35:40

to twenty eighteen for him, So I mean, you do

35:42

have to kind of temper that with That was

35:44

Joe Gibbs the but they've been running that Legacy

35:47

car has been running decent, So I don't

35:49

know, four fifteen is a decent little number there.

35:51

Group BEV leads off with Austin Dylan at two

35:53

fifty five, Todd Gillen co favorite there two fifty

35:55

five, Justin Haley co favorite there at two fifty five,

35:58

and Ricky Stenhouse junior three ten. I

36:00

got no excitement in here, and you know, I love you know,

36:02

I'm I'm biased. I always love to pick

36:04

my Austin Dylan, but I got no I

36:07

got nothing in this group. I can't. I can't even give you

36:09

a stat to differentiate between him.

36:10

That was what I was really tough with yesterday doing

36:12

the notes.

36:13

Todd Gillen, Maybe, you know, maybe at the

36:16

front row charm

36:18

can wear rub off on him.

36:20

You know, I think maybe Ricky Stenhouse, since he's running

36:23

in the ago, brunch in a jar would

36:26

have.

36:26

Gone to me.

36:27

I heard it's an ago. It's an ago like alcoholic

36:30

drink. I'm like, come on, come to city light shine. We'd

36:32

have done it with you.

36:33

How much.

36:33

How much would it take for you to drink a brunch in a jar?

36:35

I don't know what tastes like.

36:37

I mean, I got a candy bar with city light shine.

36:39

I mean it's you got a candy bar.

36:40

Yeah, we got candy bar right over there,

36:43

right there. I'm gonna get right there

36:45

sweet tooth right over that shoulder.

36:48

But I'm I'm not buying anything in this group.

36:50

Yeah, I can't give you nothing on this one. Man.

36:52

I could try to spout some knowledge

36:54

on you, but it's really just going to be a bunch

36:57

of you know, perfume on. Sorry,

37:00

guys in this group. I just

37:02

I can't give you nothing on a group day, and group that's

37:04

normally my favorite group. Man, your gupf is normally today

37:06

it's not my favorite group.

37:08

All right.

37:08

We do have our prop bets this week, and our

37:11

prop bets are they're still

37:13

the dog you got Chevy at minus

37:15

won twenty five this weekend, and that of

37:17

course leads off because of Chase Elliott, Kyle Larson.

37:20

You know, we can lay the list goes on, but

37:22

Toyota two twenty and Ford three fifty

37:25

two twenty on Toyota there, dude. First

37:28

of all, Ford three fifty when

37:31

I wrote my notes on they've won three in a row,

37:33

guys, why not Ford again?

37:34

They've won every style of track the last

37:36

three weeks, and they keep just shutting us up.

37:38

But Toyota's you got, you got Martin Truex,

37:40

you got Tyler Reddick, you got

37:42

you know, you've got decent Rotor Ty Gibbs

37:45

still got decent road racers in that

37:47

shortened Toyota group. I almost

37:49

would have had that Toyota fod backwards if you want the truth,

37:51

the way they're running right now. But Minus

37:53

won twenty five for Chevy. I kind of like the Toyota

37:56

Ford right here. I'm do they go four

37:58

to row? I think I might like the Toyota.

38:00

I mean, if you just you betting on just kind

38:02

of the luck there what not?

38:03

Just I mean looking at it.

38:04

I mean, but I do agree with the Chevy mince one twenty

38:06

five.

38:07

Well, they got they got the two main guys, and you got the guys

38:09

that absolutely.

38:10

Flat out and I think they got a lot of guys that need a win

38:12

that are in the Chevy.

38:13

Yes, Alex Bowman, you know still,

38:15

you know, God, I'm with you, all right, Let's get

38:17

real quickly to the season. Championship

38:19

stuff. Not a whole lot of change from last

38:21

week. The only one, of course, Mike

38:24

McDowell. He is he has absolutely

38:26

changed and come onto the screen h

38:29

one one.

38:30

I'm just happy to see him up on that.

38:32

Not a lot of love and belief in Michael mcdoll championship,

38:35

but he's there. That's all that matters. I

38:37

still there's some numbers I'm looking at. I'm

38:40

telling you that Sea Bell at thirteen to one, at

38:42

twelve to one, sorry, is sitting there. Ross Chastain

38:44

hanging out still, the Chase Elliott hanging out there. Tyler

38:47

Reddick. If that team they're in the playoffs, that's

38:49

they get hot. That that's there

38:51

are some numbers here for some guys that are still pretty

38:54

fantastic.

38:54

That's the one I love, Tyler. I am a big

38:57

Tyler Redick fan.

38:58

This year, you know, I've been atting

39:00

them a lot, but it's just it's that's why I've been so frustrated

39:02

with all the mistakes, because they have top

39:04

five speed every week and

39:06

you keep shooting themselves in the foot. If they can get like

39:09

you, like you said, if they could just slow it down just a little

39:11

bit.

39:12

I think that this is a this.

39:13

Is legit slowed down to your team, slow down

39:16

to go fast. Yep, I heard it before.

39:19

Well with that, we get to last week's uh

39:21

picks and the show's over all, right bye guys, Yeah

39:24

no, uh. The the pict crew is back on their

39:26

their usual slide of death.

39:28

They were zero for five again. Now I'm saying

39:30

that is me and Motley. We were so stellar also,

39:33

but you know, you get one, you only lose

39:35

one unit, right, you miss

39:37

all five, you're losing five. So Mottley

39:39

and I we tempered our losses a minus one point

39:41

eight and a minus one point five. I got

39:43

Elliott over TRUEX. There's my Elliott bet came

39:45

through for me. Uh, and he got Boucher

39:47

over Bush, which you know, decent

39:50

little things came through for us, but so

39:52

close with Jase Elliott to win finish

39:54

second.

39:55

Hey, Jane van Geisberg in top ten, but unfortunately

39:57

was in the same group with the big Dowels.

39:58

Yeah, and that was And look,

40:01

I've been saying Chase Elliott all year, right, I mean I've

40:03

Chase Elliott. I've been saying I'm betting and betting and betting him. He

40:05

almost won that race. You were right there, but

40:08

I just happened to have him the head head and it gave me a double.

40:10

And you know, give a tip of the captain, Joey Logano, thank

40:12

you for not having to sweat that out.

40:14

You know, well you first took care of the took

40:16

care of business early for us.

40:18

Yeah. Unfortunately, just door poor Justin

40:20

Haley into the tire barrier and then the next restart

40:23

I almost took about ten cars out, so

40:25

we left the race.

40:26

We did give the Legano jinkes. We said it before.

40:28

I see if I would remember. I wanted to change my bet.

40:30

You did, should change my bet.

40:34

It's still in the one. I was going to pick a Brodie

40:36

Kostecki. He still didn't win it, yeah, but helped

40:39

out and the Joey might not have done

40:41

that.

40:41

So well, hopefully we don't have any kiss at death

40:43

this week because I need some I need some wins.

40:45

Well, we always go worse to first, and I love to

40:47

bring that up because I went first a lot last year.

40:49

So now it's time for me to brag and say you're

40:52

worst, you first?

40:53

All right, Well, you know what I am.

40:55

I got to swing big here and I'm liking what Daniel

40:57

Sours has done in the last handful of races, what

40:59

he's done at this track. We got him to win eleven

41:01

to one. He needs to win to get in the playoffs.

41:04

I think AJ's got a gut improved from

41:06

last week. I this is this is a gorg

41:09

home race for him, got him a top three

41:11

plus three thirty. I like

41:13

Kyle Larson Group A plus two eighty.

41:15

I know Chase Elliott is the favorite, he's,

41:17

you know, the best driver on these tracks.

41:19

But Larson has won the last two races. That's too big

41:21

of a number to pass up. Go with Chris

41:24

Busher. He's won of so many that's this year

41:26

and last year. Group C plus two twenty

41:28

and I'm back on Joey Logano. I think he has redemption

41:31

win Group E plus two O five all.

41:34

Right, can't knock any of that. There's

41:36

one in there that I'm with, and I might have to cross

41:38

out because I don't want to be the same as

41:40

you often, because you go for five for so often that it

41:42

scares me.

41:43

We're not the same as black Flag right

41:46

tough crowd today.

41:47

Oh even your own pick crews given you a back flack flag

41:49

on your picks. All right, please

41:51

tell me you have Motley's picks. We do. It's all right

41:54

up on the board. Even better. I can read him. I

41:56

just realized I did not have Jef Motley's picks. Jeff

41:59

has taking Jason Kace, Elliott and Group A at one

42:01

ninety. Apparently he does not carry he's on my pick

42:03

at Chase Elliott. That's what he's picking. Uh,

42:05

Daniel Suarez Group B. Okay, once

42:08

again, there's two of them, Chris Buscher,

42:10

Group three, see at two twenty. All right, Alex

42:13

Bowman Group D And wait, did

42:15

I just read the Pickcrew picks again?

42:17

Just about almost? Yeah?

42:19

Yeah, So there's a couple of kicks Pick

42:21

Crew picks.

42:21

We only have three? No, I have

42:24

only one.

42:24

I think you had three?

42:25

Oh, Chase Elliott, Toyota. No, No, I didn't pick

42:27

Toyotah.

42:27

They had Toyota in there. No oh.

42:29

I was looking at it. Then it was Jeff's picks. I thought it was pict

42:31

Crew. No pintention we have what?

42:33

We have one car save what?

42:35

Okay, so I ain't going to start off.

42:38

I've got to pick Chase Elliott. So the only thing that's worth

42:40

a deal picking him for the W

42:44

so go Group BA Chase Elliott. Nope, Nope,

42:46

not going Group A. I'm going Chase Elliott to win the race.

42:49

Just I gotta get him. I gotta pick something in there.

42:51

But I'm tempering that because I'm

42:53

picking Kyle Larson head to head versus him.

42:55

I'm going Kyle Larson the plus one twenty five.

42:58

I just there's too much coin left on that

43:00

with Kyle Larson. And once again, i'm

43:02

three thirty or I'm two and a quarter

43:04

units, So either way, I'm up at least

43:06

a point. If I win the head to head,

43:09

I'd rather Chase e Lat win the race. And then

43:11

I'm going to go to another head to head Austin Sindric.

43:13

I like that, Austin Sindric versus Denny

43:15

Hamlin. I think that Austin runs just

43:18

better this year on these road races. And

43:20

that's three. Then I'm going one group pick.

43:22

I'm going Ty Gibbs in Group C. I'm

43:25

going head to head with you guys. I'm not going

43:27

Chris Bouscher. I'm not. I'm

43:30

going with Ty Gibbs. I like that four hundred number.

43:32

And then I'm going to go with Jeff I'm picking

43:34

Toyota to win. I got a bunch of hedges all over

43:36

my bet here. I think that Toyota has

43:38

a shot to win

43:41

this with Tyler Reddick or Martin Truex.

43:43

So I think we're really diverse on these

43:45

picks. This week we got I tried

43:48

to stay away from a lot of things I did like Suarez. I was

43:50

thinking Suarez, but I just something

43:52

about me, says Dingers. Just I

43:54

can't jump back on the Dinger bandwagon yet.

43:56

It's tough.

43:57

Gotta show me something.

43:58

I mean, if he finished like you know or ninth Indy,

44:00

You're like, okay, you know what, I'll take it.

44:02

But that one is just not even close.

44:05

Well, there's our picks for this week. Wyatt, we

44:08

appreciate as always when we get white

44:10

about you know, the voice of the UNLV

44:12

Lady ReBs. We got to get the golden pipes

44:14

in here of Wyatt once in a while. We appreciate

44:17

it. Rob to the guys, thank you for filling in

44:19

and Motley wherever he is. But next

44:21

week we'll be back with Daytona.

44:24

I'm so excited.

44:25

We love that one too.

44:26

This is this is, this is.

44:27

Gonna be a fun that's gonna be a fun race

44:29

chaos. I mean, we saw last year a

44:32

rainstorm really screwed up the whole thing, got

44:34

Austin Dillon into the playoffs.

44:35

Hard hard, hard to bet, but you know what,

44:37

it's so much fun to talk, it so much fun to try

44:39

it. And of course we maybe we need to get

44:41

the guys Isaiah start working on a crapshoot counter,

44:43

because I'm sure that Jeff Motley would love to be pulling out
