This is Gone Racing, Vison's

0:04

premier NASCAR betting podcast. Here

0:06

are your hosts, former NASCAR driver Brendan

0:08

Gahn and Las Vegas Motor Speedways,

0:10

Jeff Motley.

0:13

And welcome and everybody. We're bagging

0:15

Gone Racing and mister Motley. We have

0:17

more fun than anybody can possibly.

0:19

Have, and we give the production staff more

0:21

entertainment than anybody too.

0:23

We also try to give them more, you know, more

0:25

kaka because right now Isaiah,

0:27

So those of you that know we are professionally unprofessional.

0:30

We normally have our main man, Wyatt behind the glass

0:32

and we call it the glass here at the Vson studio because

0:34

it looks like a hockey marink.

0:35

Here. He's like in the penalty boxes.

0:38

And so Wyatt normally counts us down and gives the five

0:40

four. And if you watch our podcast and our show all

0:42

the time, you know that we love to give Wyatt

0:44

a hard time about it.

0:45

But sometimes he has a premature.

0:47

Premature countdown and sounds like,

0:50

you know, they've got drugs for that. So but

0:52

he blames Isaiah for the

0:54

premature countdown in Isaiah, of course, the

0:57

Isaiah that sometimes is behind the glass but

0:59

won't come on cam that never talks sees

1:01

you know, he won't do anything. So

1:03

Isaiah, we think Isaiah sets him up. So

1:06

they came up and said now that we could start on our own.

1:08

When the sound ended, and blah blah blah, because

1:10

you know, I just think that Isaiah is

1:12

trying to take We can't blame anybody.

1:14

Look, I just want to give you guys as much airtime as

1:16

you possibly can to

1:18

show those beautiful faces.

1:20

Wow, the spin doctor is at his best

1:22

faces for radio.

1:23

Right here is what we got.

1:24

Well, this is true.

1:25

Well, welcome, and let's get to these things that we do talk

1:27

about here, which is our sports betting in NASCAR?

1:29

Are you and I's favorite sport around?

1:31

And we had an amazing

1:33

race at Kansas Motley, the mile and

1:35

a half speedways and more

1:37

particularly the old cookie Cutter and

1:39

half the ones that everybody poop pooed during my era,

1:42

right oh, Kansas, Kentucky,

1:44

Vegas. They built all these things at

1:46

once, you know, and they're a cookie Cutter and everybody

1:48

poop pooed them.

1:50

Was that one of the best mile and a half races you've

1:52

ever seen?

1:52

No question. I think the next gen car has

1:54

certainly changed the game on the mile and a half. Unfortunately

1:56

it's changed the game on some other tracks or the other way,

1:59

but that's another story for another day. But on the

2:01

mile and a half tracks it has. I mean, we had a race

2:03

where it was competitive the whole day. We

2:05

had a last lap pass, we had a

2:07

fight on Pitt Road. We had another

2:09

week where half the field was mad at Ross Chestain.

2:13

So we've had a we had a little bit of everything

2:15

in that race, you know.

2:16

And on the covers they said that this was there

2:18

had never been a last lap pass at Kansas for

2:20

the win, and I kind of went, man, there's

2:22

been some pretty good finishes, and then I remembered I was like Carl

2:25

Everards, I go, oh no, no, Carl Vers did

2:27

pass, but then he got passed

2:29

back as he was up.

2:30

In the wall and it wasn't He

2:33

tried the original video game move and

2:35

he said that too. Remember that.

2:36

He said, you know, it worked in the video game,

2:38

but there has never been a last lap pass.

2:40

But man, I'll tell you what hell of a race.

2:42

And let's talk That was also the site of the famous

2:44

Logano Kensith Round

2:46

one round one.

2:47

Yes, right, yes, So let's talk

2:49

about that.

2:50

Last lap pass though, BALI, we we

2:52

all know that that sometimes I don't

2:54

mince words about certain people. There

2:56

is nothing wrong with what happened there. Oh No,

2:58

I mean that was a race. There was two guys racing hard.

3:01

Larson knew he was not faster than Denny.

3:03

He was doing everything he could to hold on. Danny

3:05

knew he was faster than Larson, but had to get

3:08

into a situation to get by him. He's side

3:10

drafting him. Larson taps the wall, gets a little

3:12

squirrely. Denny happens to be at his we're

3:14

a bumper. Side drafting comes down a little

3:16

bit.

3:17

To me. That was one hundred percent hard racing.

3:19

And even Larson after the race didn't really have anything

3:21

to say about it.

3:22

No, and it's the last lap. And here's the thing.

3:24

It's important to me if you're going

3:26

to move a guy a little bit, move newerd,

3:29

move right. When I see somebody run

3:31

through a guy and so the guy goes from first to twenty

3:33

fifth, I got a problem with that. Kyle

3:35

Larson finished second, dump and run.

3:37

I've never been a fan of no bumping run I am.

3:40

And this wasn't even a bump and run. This was just air

3:42

and two guys racing hard and you know,

3:44

close quarters, and they got going and Kyle finished

3:46

a second. And Kyle's interview

3:48

is great afterwards where the fight happened. While

3:51

he was giving his interview and the crowd

3:53

he looked up on the jump. You could see he had looked up and he

3:55

goes, hey, look at that, somebody's finally going after

3:57

Ross.

3:58

It's like, all right, well,

4:01

well, and here's the other thing about that With

4:03

Denny. Denny was a little more desperate. First

4:05

off, Denny hadn't won in about thirty four races.

4:08

Races thirty four almost a year. He also

4:10

didn't have a win yet this year. Kyle Larson

4:13

has already been to Victory Lane this year, so certainly

4:15

no Granted, Kyle wants to get as many wins as he can,

4:17

he wants to get those playoff points and everything else.

4:20

But Denny was in a little bit more of a desperate

4:22

situation there. And I think if you're Kyle Larson, you kind

4:24

of know that well.

4:25

And what have I been saying about how many winners Jeff this year?

4:27

I know?

4:28

But does that out does

4:30

that add to the number of winners we've been talking about?

4:32

It does add to the number of winners, but it doesn't change

4:34

my thought when we get a big upset

4:36

winner, like if Corey la Joy wins, if

4:38

Michael was back one yet, he's.

4:41

Not a guy that had won yet.

4:42

Survey says no.

4:43

Survey says no. So now

4:46

we are twelve races into the season

4:49

and we have nine winners.

4:51

Okay, I'm

4:54

just saying we're not going to get more than sixteen.

4:57

Look at guys that still haven't won yet. I'm looking at this

4:59

list.

5:00

Not more than sixteen before we get to race

5:02

twenty six.

5:03

Ross Chess, Daine, Ryan Blaney, Kevin

5:05

Harvick, Brad Kazowski, Alex.

5:08

Leman, well, Chase Elliott,

5:11

who has been a little disappointed.

5:13

I'm just pointing this out, just

5:15

pointing these little bits of kernels

5:18

of knowledge.

5:18

I will earl Ross's of knowledge.

5:20

But for the record, I hope you're

5:22

right and I'm wrong. Though, I think just be fun.

5:25

I just think that'd be chaos.

5:26

It'd be fun to see a driver actually who wins

5:28

the race not make the playoffs, because I

5:30

want to.

5:31

I want to see who it's going to be in here, listen to how bad

5:33

they're If it's certain drivers.

5:34

Can you imagine how bad they will whind?

5:36

What do they want to expand the playoffs again?

5:39

You know they'll say that, let's get to a Denny

5:41

Hamlin page though if you had a ticket on him. Denny

5:43

won at Kansas. He was seven to fifty to win. He

5:45

was a plus two hundred for a top three group A. He

5:47

was actually two eighty, which was a great return on him

5:50

in the groups. He was plus one twenty

5:52

five versus Larson and he got that on the last lap,

5:54

plus one oh five versus Byron and a minus

5:56

one twenty to Martin

5:59

Truex Junior. There was no We did not have

6:01

any of our manufacturer props

6:03

from last week, so that we didn't have

6:05

the Toyota prop.

6:06

But what probably had you bet it later it's

6:08

probably.

6:08

Around three hundred again, that's kind of where it's

6:11

been hovering, that Toyota prop in that.

6:12

Three hundred rains.

6:13

I changed a little bit this week. That was

6:15

a thirty three race Winlesstrout. That's his fourth win

6:17

at Kansas. Joe gives four hundredth win.

6:20

By the way, found.

6:21

It's amazing, you know, I would have never guessed

6:24

that Gibbs it.

6:26

Think about it.

6:26

They had some I mean, well, Kyle Busch is Kyle

6:29

Busch probably won, Bobby races

6:32

Dale, j Ed Dale.

6:34

I mean, there were some guys that really got it done over

6:36

there.

6:36

And Denny's won a lot of races for him,

6:38

as has Carl Edwards.

6:40

Carl, there's been a lot of races, a lot of w's

6:42

over there, So congratulations as a coach. And on his four

6:44

hundred top ten, Kyle

6:46

Larson was a plus one forty, William

6:49

Byron plus two hundred, so not a lot

6:51

of you know, a lot of chalk heavy on the top of this of

6:53

this board, even though we said it was a great race, but

6:55

look at this top ten. Bubba Wallace a great

6:58

race, by the way, again for Bubba Wallace, he

7:01

could run Kansas every week. He might have been a champion.

7:03

Ross Shastain taking everybody else out and never hurts

7:05

himself. Top five, amazing Chase,

7:08

Top four in the field, Joey Logano, sixth,

7:11

Chase Elliott.

7:12

I was pretty heavy on Chase Elliott last week. You know,

7:14

I picked him to win out like that. That might have been the highest

7:16

he ran all day.

7:16

It was on the last week.

7:18

He didn't he didn't do quite what I wanted.

7:20

But he got a top ten out of it, so that's all he needs.

7:22

Uh, Marty, Marty, Marty Truck Junior on

7:24

one of his many home tracks, did not win this week.

7:25

Tyler Reddick and then Austin.

7:27

Dillon squeaking out of top ten even though Kyle

7:29

Busch, Kyle Busch was pretty darn good early on,

7:32

had that wreck and you know that

7:35

is all she wrote for him.

7:37

But you know, we kind of glanced over do we really

7:39

want to talk about the fight? Well?

7:43

You know, I mean had a list of another Vegas

7:45

drivers that wanted to knock the snot out

7:47

of the watermelon out of melon

7:50

Head.

7:50

It is amazing to me though, how

7:53

every week the

7:56

same guy has a run in

7:58

with a different driver.

8:00

Here's my thing about

8:02

I don't care if you want to be my

8:05

biggest problem with Ross is that he tries to play

8:07

this hody dough.

8:09

I'm just trying to drive hard. I'm

8:12

sorry. I'm going to apologize next

8:14

week. No that that that ship

8:17

has sailed. When you were Johnny Davis Motorsports and did it fifteen,

8:19

maybe he should just have on the back TV panel.

8:22

Sorry girls, I mean, at this point

8:24

he needs.

8:24

He needs to take the different approach, and that is you

8:26

want to do something about it, Come do something about it.

8:29

You know.

8:29

Now, I will say, at least he learned

8:31

to give a little bit better punch than when I pummeled him

8:33

and made him look like a watermelon. But you

8:35

know, at least he gave one back this

8:38

time.

8:38

But I mean, you knew years ago what everybody

8:41

else is fighting out right now.

8:44

I just but it's

8:46

just what I'm tired of is if you're

8:48

going to be it, be it.

8:51

You know, if you're going to.

8:53

Do these things, that's

8:55

right where the black cat come. If come

8:57

do something about me. You don't like the way I'm doing

9:00

it, come do something about me.

9:01

Don't dance around it, don't play the patty cake,

9:03

don't say I'm sorry, don't do this and that you're

9:06

going to do it, do it Otherwise I'm going

9:08

to think you're a schmuck.

9:09

Otherwise I want to think you have no talent.

9:11

You got talent, Jesus Christ McKidd

9:13

has been crushing it and winning races.

9:15

He got talent.

9:15

But if you're doing it every week like this, I'm going to think

9:18

you don't have talent. I'm going to think that that

9:20

maybe you can't control your race

9:22

car. So I know we already.

9:24

Know that you can.

9:25

And there's and I'll say, there's nothing he

9:27

has done on the racetrack that if he had

9:29

done it in the last ten lane laps that.

9:31

We would have said, I would be any

9:33

issue with Most of the time, I would have said,

9:35

you know what what he at Talent Stage one. In

9:37

stage two in Talladega, when him and Noel Gregson

9:39

with five laps to go or seven laps to go, whatever

9:42

it was, Noah left the middle open, Ross

9:44

chaste and filled the middle. Noah

9:46

tried to come back down, Ross went not

9:48

on me, and a big wreck happened. I

9:50

think we looked at that one go back and grab the tape.

9:52

I even said that wasn't Ross's fault.

9:55

No, Noah shouldn't have left

9:57

it.

9:57

But Ross didn't need to run. No into the fence in

9:59

stage two this past week in it.

10:01

He didn't need to run whoever it was last week

10:03

in stage.

10:04

One, Kyle Busch in the first stage.

10:07

You know that those things he just he doesn't

10:09

understand time and place, and

10:11

and that to me says either he's not

10:13

intelligent enough to have situational awareness

10:17

or he's just doing it and then trying

10:19

to play stupid afterwards. So he's

10:21

won enough racist for me to say he has situational awareness.

10:24

I'm going to say that he thinks we're all stupid,

10:26

and we're going.

10:27

To well, he's not a rookie anymore.

10:28

No, No, he is not a rookie.

10:31

Let's get into some of the stats real quick, or the season

10:33

standing, sorry, season standings, over it,

10:35

Jeff.

10:36

What we're talking about. Look at what we got here.

10:38

I know, nine guys,

10:42

nine guys, hm,

10:45

nine guys.

10:46

I know what have we run?

10:48

Twelve races

10:51

and the cut off line. I'll tell you what, man, that

10:53

cut off line. It is going to be dog eat

10:55

dog for this cut off line. Chase

10:58

Briscoe right there, Bubba wall Us ty

11:00

gives is up in the picture even and

11:02

Michael McDowell having a silent great season

11:05

right now, and still both RFK cars.

11:07

Well, well, and here's the thing. One of

11:09

those guys in the top sixteen, he'll be out after this

11:11

week. Alex Bowman will drop out of the top sixteen.

11:13

Yeah, that's another one that hasn't won. I'm

11:17

telling you, Jeff, I think we got it.

11:19

This year.

11:19

I think I'm finally going to get it.

11:21

I predicted the other way.

11:22

Let's talk about the next upcoming races real quick. We're this

11:24

week, We're at the Mother's Day Race, the Throwback

11:26

at Darlington, the Good Year.

11:28

Four hundred, one of our favorite races all year,

11:30

Wilkesborough.

11:31

Next the All Star Race, then of course the Kokes six hundred momorrow

11:33

weekend, then Gateway enjoying oy three

11:35

hundred, and then off Motley where you'll.

11:37

Be working the Sonoma Toyota Save mark

11:39

three fifty.

11:40

Out on our coast.

11:41

See it in a minute.

11:42

Guess

12:03

this is Gone Racing, FISA's

12:05

premier NASCAR Beny Podcast. You're

12:08

your hosts former NASCAR driver Brendan

12:10

Gone and Las Vegas Motor Speedways,

12:12

Jeff Motley.

12:14

And we're back in guys, and we are mister

12:16

Motley and mister Gougan, and we are hanging

12:18

out the sudd Is only my good friends

12:21

call me Brandon and

12:23

so we are hanging out the studio. We just went over

12:25

the schedule real quick, and Jeff I blew over Sonoma.

12:27

You know the Twitter to save mark three fifty. But that's

12:30

a West coast race and you know West Coast

12:32

Hall of Fame. I got inducted last year. I'm now

12:34

on the board of directors by the way of the West Coast stock Car

12:36

Hall of Fame.

12:37

Think you ken clap?

12:38

I mean meetings, does that require you to sit in?

12:41

But but we uh that that's that's the weekend

12:44

that you know.

12:44

This year we have some some We have a pretty star studed lineup

12:46

going to the West Coast stock Car Hall of Fame this year.

12:48

Yeah, Kurt Bush is going in, Kevin Harvick's going

12:50

in, Matt Kraft's going in, and uh and Lynn's

12:52

Saint James is going Inn's going in. Yeah, all right,

12:54

And I am going to say this, and I'm not going to tell on the

12:56

person who sent sent this text to me in the

12:58

middle of it. Now, you and I have been to this thing

13:01

and we know that it can be a lengthy affair. Right.

13:03

Last year was about a four and a half five hour Who

13:05

goes up there exactly and how much talking. I'm

13:08

not going to call this person out, but if

13:10

you remember Butch Gilliland,

13:12

David Gilan and Tod and Todd

13:14

Gillen were all on the stage and Butch was in

13:16

the Hall of Fame. David was being inducted

13:18

last year and Todd was part of the induction. And

13:21

in the middle of the night, I get

13:23

a text from a NASCAR official again

13:25

I'm not going to name his name on the air, who said,

13:27

before this thing is over, we're going to be inducting.

13:31

I say, it was that took a little long.

13:33

I was quick.

13:34

I was quick.

13:35

There was a couple of those old guys that started telling stories

13:37

and then one guy started comparing something

13:40

to something we're not going to talk about.

13:41

It was.

13:42

It was an amusing night.

13:44

But you know what, hey, listen, a lot of a lot of Great

13:46

West Coast stock car racing.

13:47

Great night. Loved going to Soma.

13:49

But we are at Darlington, which is the Come

13:51

on, this is the track in NASCAR, right,

13:54

this is the one that you know Daytona, we

13:56

get it, Sarlotte, all right, But this is

13:58

the original super speedway. This is the oldest

14:00

super speed also the oldest one point three to six mile.

14:02

I remember herschelmcgriff talking about getting a call from Big

14:05

Bill France to drive out there. Drove

14:07

drove the car there, race and drove it home. The

14:10

track too tough to tame. The Lady in Black whatever you

14:12

want to call it. The tires

14:14

you do two laps on tires and on Maskma Crouchie

14:16

for him. It is on Sunday Mother's Day, May fourteenth,

14:19

and last year's winner of this race is

14:21

Joey look On.

14:22

Yeah. You know a couple of things about Darlington and people understand

14:24

it wears tires so badly. Part of

14:26

its proximity to the coast

14:28

the sea air off the Atlantic Ocean

14:30

causes the asphalt to deteriorate very quickly.

14:33

The other thing that's odd about this track is it's an

14:35

egg shape.

14:36

It's an egg shape. It's one term, one corner, this tape,

14:38

one counter of this time. Right, and anybody wants to

14:40

know you know the reason why?

14:42

Right? When Harold Brazington went to build a track

14:45

down there, the Minnopond, it

14:47

couldn't be moved, so he couldn't make both turns

14:49

the same, so he had to narrow up the other turn

14:52

when he realized, oh, I can't move the mino pond.

14:54

It's it's a super cool track and one of the most fun tracks

14:56

in the world to drive on. Jeff, I mean, it's still amazing.

14:59

And what's fun is Krem de La Krem

15:01

can drive here. You look at these driver stats.

15:03

I mean Denny Hamlin's sixty, he's

15:05

How does he only have twenty one races?

15:07

Is my question? One are in races

15:09

sixteen top well.

15:11

He only has twenty one races because you have to remember

15:13

we went through a long stretch where it was only one race.

15:15

You know, Harvick's been racing.

15:16

Heart long eighteen thirteen top tens

15:19

and thirty races.

15:20

Eric Jones, this is the one that gets me.

15:23

Eric Jones seventy percent

15:25

top ten, fifty percent top

15:27

five, and twenty percent winning act.

15:28

And Eric Jones won the last race we had

15:31

there during the playoffs last.

15:32

And look at these guys that are good there. The guys

15:34

that are good there are good there.

15:37

You know why those guys are good there because they understand

15:40

the value of tire management. If

15:42

you why when I see you gut like for example, Ross Chastain,

15:45

who is like on every lesson. I

15:47

don't see Ross Chastain having a strong run.

15:49

No, but you got a guy like Kyle Larson who

15:51

hasn't won because he takes

15:53

too many risks up on that high side. That's what hurts Himy

15:56

smacks the walts many times. But a guy like Eric

15:58

Jones, who understand it hasn't

16:00

been in some of the best He was in late at GMS

16:03

last year in one you know, I mean, amazing

16:05

job by some of these guys.

16:06

This is who's who types that.

16:07

You know.

16:08

The one though that shocks me the most

16:10

up there that he's only got six top fives

16:12

and twenty two starts as Kyle Busch, because Kyle

16:14

Busch is a guy that I think we all know takes

16:17

care of his equipment. Kyle, he's

16:19

a clean driver who understands

16:22

the you understand the sign.

16:24

I think that he would have.

16:25

You know, he he's got thirteen top tens, but only

16:27

six top fives. I think he gets a little

16:29

wants to get a little too aggressive before the end and you

16:32

know, loses that top five chance and goes back

16:34

to top one.

16:34

Well, and show you how tough it is. You look at all

16:36

these drivers on this board and only two of them

16:38

have more than ten top

16:41

fives. That's just the two guys at the top.

16:43

So so let's get into

16:45

the odds to win the Good Year four hundred, and we're going to lead

16:47

off with a guy that was on that list, Kyle Larson, He's

16:49

plus five hundred, Denny Hamlin is

16:51

six, Martin Trurex Junior is seven, William

16:54

Byron eight fifty, Tyler Reddick right there with him in eight

16:56

fifty, Kyle Busch nine hundred.

16:58

Ross Shastain is your first double day guy eleven

17:00

to one.

17:01

Then you got a bunch at twelve, Joey Logano, Chrisphervel,

17:03

Chase Elliott all at twelve to one, Kevin

17:05

Harvick fourteen, Ryan Blaney twenty two, Brad

17:07

Kaselowski thirty five, Bubba Wallace at

17:10

forty, Daniel Swerrez forty five, and Josh

17:12

Berry sixty five. On the end

17:14

of the first page Jeff sixty

17:16

five to one. That tells

17:18

you a very telling story of

17:22

how tough it is to win

17:24

at Darlington.

17:24

Well, no, there's no question that it does. And I

17:27

think when we get to page two you're going to scratch

17:29

your head a little bit because we're missing a name

17:32

off of this, a guy who's won here twice and won

17:34

that last race last year. We haven't even

17:36

seen his name yet.

17:37

Let's get to that quickly then.

17:38

So, but I want to say one thing about on the first page,

17:40

though, the guy who won this race

17:42

last year, and I believe

17:45

he finished in the top five in both races

17:47

at Darlington last year. Joey Logano

17:50

at twelve to one, fourth and first, Yeah,

17:52

fourth and first, and he's coming in at

17:54

twelve to one. You know, look,

17:56

I know the Fords haven't been quite as strong this year,

17:58

quite as strong, But I'm just telling

18:00

you that when it comes to a racetrack like Darlington,

18:03

the driver takes over a little

18:05

bit more than the car. Sometimes when you get to

18:08

Darlington, Joey Logano is

18:10

undervalued here at twelve to one. I think I.

18:11

Agree, But the problem is the forde has been so bad

18:14

that I just worry that

18:16

that the car just isn't.

18:17

Up to snuff.

18:18

Could be right, could be right.

18:19

Let's get to that second page because the last

18:22

time we raced here was in the playoffs, and the last

18:24

most current winner of this race is

18:27

Eric Jones, and he is sixty five

18:29

to one also to win this race. Then

18:31

you got Ty Gibbs and Chris Buscher at seventy, Ricky

18:34

Stenhouse Junior, Chase Brisco, Austin Dolling at one

18:36

hundred, Ryan Priest, Noah Gregson,

18:38

Michael McDowell, Justin Haley, Austin

18:40

Cindric, Eric Almolla and aj Allmendinger

18:42

at won fifty huge odds here.

18:44

You know, And I think if you go back and look at last year's

18:47

races, I think Austin Dillon ran fairly

18:49

well here. I think Stenhouse has had some

18:52

good runs here. Chris Busher is a guy who

18:54

I love the way Chris Busher takes care of his equipment,

18:56

in the way he races, and this is a racetrack. I think

18:59

that sets up well for Chris Buscher. And and

19:01

look, let's face it, the best Fords on the

19:03

track this year have been the RFK cars.

19:06

I know they haven't won, but I think Keaslowski

19:08

and Busher have been more consistent than

19:10

any of the Penske cars or the Stuart Hoss

19:12

cars.

19:12

They have. But the problem is, I'm going back to

19:14

the thing of Ford just has not been very

19:16

good.

19:17

Ford's just but we're not, you know.

19:19

And granted, these are odds to win, so you

19:22

know, I'll give you that. I think we get into odds the top

19:24

three and we don't do top tens.

19:27

Some those guys are worth taking a look at.

19:28

Well, let's get into those top threes, then shall we, mister

19:30

Motley, we start shaft with Kyle

19:32

Larson at plus one forty, Denny Hamlin is

19:34

plus one seventy, and then Martin Truex

19:36

Junior plus two hundred for top three.

19:38

I mean it's not terrible.

19:39

William Byron Tyler Reddick to forty, Kyle

19:41

Busch two fifty, Ross shastaining

19:44

three, Hunter, Joey Logano, Christopher Bell, Chase

19:46

Elliott all at three thirty, Kevin Harvick

19:48

at four hundred, Ryan

19:50

Blaney six hundred. Then you got double digits Brad Keselowski

19:53

ten, Bubba Wallace, Daniel Swarez eleven, Josh

19:56

Berry sixteen to one. I was high on Josh

19:58

Berry a couple weeks ago, not quite as

20:00

high on Josh Berry currently he

20:02

is definitely faded a little

20:04

bit well.

20:06

And now I start asking myself is there something

20:08

different going on in the Hendrick camp too,

20:10

Because when Josh Barry was driving

20:12

the nine for Chase Elliott, he

20:14

was doing way better than he has done

20:17

in the forty eight replacing Alex Bowman. You

20:19

remember last year it was Noah Gregson had

20:21

to go into that forty eight and replace Bowman. Didn't

20:24

really do as well as we may have thought he was going to do. So

20:26

I'm asking myself, why is that? Why

20:28

did Josh Berry run so much better in the nine

20:31

than he's running the forty eight. Are those two cars that different?

20:35

I don't know.

20:36

I mean, it's just an ax question. But and back to my

20:38

talking about Joey Logano. Now a first and

20:40

a fourth and we get plus three thirty on him for three.

20:42

That's I kind of like that probably is the Fods.

20:45

I'm just I'm off for and badwag until they get

20:47

me a little more something.

20:48

And I think Christopher Bell is another guy who this

20:50

is a kind of racetrack where now Seabell,

20:52

Christopher Bell's again.

20:53

Bell three fifty.

20:54

I do like, let's get to the second page real quick,

20:56

and we lead it off with last last race winner,

20:58

Eric Jones.

20:59

Eight Teen to one, Eric Jones.

21:02

I mean that's a for the guy that just won this

21:04

race and won it well, you know, I mean,

21:06

that's a really good number. Eighteen

21:09

to one on him, sixteen to one

21:11

Ty Gibbs, Chris Bouscher. So somebody's been bet

21:13

down, some guy's been bet up, apparently on our board. Austin

21:16

Dillon twenty two, Ricky Stenhouse, Chris Brisco

21:18

twenty five, Ryan Priestno Gregson,

21:21

Michael McDowall, Justin Hayley, Austin Cindric, Eric Almolla,

21:23

and aj Allmendinger all at forty to one. I'm

21:26

just going to keep harping on this Chevrolet thing, Eric

21:28

Jones and Austin Dylon, the

21:31

Cheves. You know, there's some top threes

21:33

there that I don't mind putting

21:36

some money down, especially for that return.

21:37

You know, sometimes when a guy wins one

21:39

race and I might say, well, okay, maybe

21:42

it was a fluke. You know, he had some gas mileage

21:44

or whatever. Because Eric Jones he won

21:46

it Darlington about four or five years ago.

21:48

I think when he won his first time.

21:49

He won the first time nineteen.

21:50

But guess what, when you do it twice, had

21:53

a place like Darlington, not a

21:55

fluke. Eighteen to one,

21:57

top three, it's a great value.

22:00

That's an amazing value.

22:01

I mean, that's that's a that's a big number

22:03

for a guy that I mean, I don't look, I understand

22:06

Legacy is doing horrible right now. Let's

22:08

not kid ourselves, right They just announced the move to Toyota.

22:10

They've got all this stuff going on, I

22:13

think it is. Do you think Toyota's

22:15

gona let him in the big bed?

22:16

Right?

22:17

Is Toyota gonna let him be in all the all the engineering

22:19

meetings about this? Is Chevy gonna let and that's I mean

22:21

sorry, Is Chevrolet gonna let him be in all these meetings?

22:24

And are they gonna get the same kind of because

22:26

they're getting your engines from shoulders?

22:27

Right?

22:27

Uh yeah, Hendrick childres whicheveryone

22:30

you want to call it now? So, I mean, it's

22:32

just it's got to affect him.

22:35

It's God, that's my only drawback on that's

22:37

my only.

22:37

Draw right now. Same with me.

22:40

That's the old but still a Chevrolet. There's still

22:42

beat in the ford.

22:42

I don't care. How about let's do all.

22:43

Right, we come back, we get in the head heads and our group matches.

22:46

When we returned.

23:38

any more times than that.

23:39

I know, it's like you feel like you're saying it on every

23:41

other word.

23:42

That's okay, who wrote that paid

23:45

the podcast?

23:46

We get paid by the word podcast.

23:48

That's like the Cooke family.

23:49

Of drivers have told me that I

23:51

can say podcasts every We can talk about podcasts

23:53

all the time.

23:53

I mean, it's like crapshoot.

23:54

We can mix that baby bushy mcbush

23:57

or pushy the.

23:57

Book bushy bush face or whatever

24:00

that's right.

24:00

We could do that one welcome back in

24:02

we're talking good year four hundred Mother's Day weekend, the

24:04

throwback weekend. Did you, by the way, speak of throwacks?

24:06

You see what Kyle Busch threw back to? Oh

24:09

like when you like a car? We won earlier

24:11

this year, right before they didn't do a throwback

24:13

this year, so they did a throwback to his first win

24:15

at RCR.

24:16

I will I will tell you there's no question

24:19

what my favorite throwback car is going to be in this

24:21

race though. Okay, Chase Elliott

24:23

driving the car that his dad won the Winston

24:25

Million year back in about nineteen

24:27

eighty five.

24:28

I love all the throwback weekends, but I love RCR's

24:31

marketing department.

24:32

They didn't have a throwback for Kyle. So what they do.

24:34

It's a Lucasol race, and.

24:36

They threw it back to his first win at RCR,

24:39

all two months ago.

24:40

Well, there you go.

24:41

It's like, all right, way to go. That was

24:43

kind of funny.

24:43

All right, let's get into head to heads, and Jeff, I've been

24:45

making a lot of money in these head to heads right here, and

24:47

so I see some return on some guys in here

24:50

that I really do like. And right now,

24:52

William Byron is a plus one

24:55

forty.

24:57

On Why

25:00

don't you look up William Byron's stats from

25:02

looking at them?

25:03

I'm looking him up right now. Eight thirteenth,

25:05

last two races.

25:06

Not shabby, but compared to the two

25:08

guys that he's plus one forty against, Denny

25:10

Hamlin and Kyle Larson.

25:11

Don't don't forget last year he should have won.

25:15

He was super strong last year, got wrecked

25:17

on the last lap, you know, to come home with a

25:19

Where do you end up after the thirteenth because they he's

25:22

still limped to the finish line. But that's

25:24

still that's a I mean, I like

25:26

that one forty Byron versus either

25:29

Larson or Denny Hamlin. I kind

25:31

of like that Tyler Reddick down

25:33

at the bottom there against Martin Truex Junior a

25:35

plus one twenty and Christopher bell a

25:38

plus one twenty to.

25:39

Martin Truex Junior.

25:40

Those two I like better, you know, I mean, I.

25:42

Like both of those. Or do you hey,

25:45

I love the guys at Westgate. Do you like the Kyle

25:47

Larson, Ross Chastain one thirty

25:49

five right there? Anything anything that they

25:51

want to put Ross, Denny Hamlin, Ross Chastain.

25:55

My problem is, I just think the way Ross

25:57

Chastain drives it's not conducive

25:59

to Arlington Raceway. I'm not taking Ross

26:02

Chesstain in any of those.

26:04

I kind of agree with you there

26:07

so, but some decent returns on head to heads

26:09

normally, you know, we might get a one fifteen

26:11

to one to twenty here there, there's some one forty's

26:14

out there, some one thirty fives. I like

26:16

some of these returns, and I like a couple of them.

26:18

I may have to, uh may be circling

26:20

a few things here, you know, just

26:23

foreshadowing.

26:23

I may I

26:26

have take double well, and I like some of these

26:28

too, But I think I like those Toyota

26:30

guys against true X

26:33

a little bit more than I do Byron

26:35

or chess Stain here.

26:36

Well, I don't see I don't see any Chevrolet

26:39

versus Ford.

26:40

Is my problem.

26:40

I was hoping to find, you know, Joey Lagano in there.

26:42

That would be a minus line against somebody, and

26:44

I could jump on that.

26:45

But I just think we have we don't have

26:47

a very single Ford driver anywhere

26:50

in any of the head to heads.

26:51

We do not.

26:51

Today.

26:52

Let's get to our group matchups, Jeff.

26:54

This is the bread and butter of old gone racing here, and we start

26:56

off with Group A and Kyle

26:58

Larson leaves the way at two forty five, Denny Hamlin

27:01

two fifty five, Martin Truex Junior two eighty, Ross

27:03

Chastain three point fifteen.

27:05

They're trying to entice you there at that Ross Chastain.

27:08

But I'm kind of on the thing of one

27:10

what you said, Jeff, you know, Ross

27:13

and his aggressiveness is probably not the place for him.

27:15

But two, this is

27:17

the type of place that that somebody

27:20

doesn't want to give and take. Nobody's gonna give and take

27:22

with Ross.

27:23

Well, you're right, and if you don't give and take, it's

27:25

not gonna end up well for you.

27:26

Now, so I kind of can

27:28

take that one out.

27:30

I really like the two guys at the top on this one

27:32

right here.

27:33

Absolute it's hard to go against those two. But

27:36

I just.

27:37

And look, at some point, isn't some

27:39

kind of good fortune gonna

27:42

smile on Kyle Larson for Kriscott. I'm

27:44

telling you he's the last three weeks, the

27:46

guys had a really good race car and

27:48

he hasn't. He might have had the best car on the track

27:51

three weeks to get three weeks.

27:52

Remember Vegas, he had Vegas, you know.

27:53

I mean, There's been lots of races that Kyle Larson

27:56

should have won this year that he did not win.

27:58

So Larsen is fast everywhere, I.

27:59

Mean, and last week he gets spun

28:01

out on about lap eight. And of course

28:04

somebody who has been on the microphone

28:06

tonight, but not sitting at this desk is

28:08

texting both of us like his race is over.

28:10

No, and you said that, You said, oh man, I got collars

28:12

races over and I'm like, dude.

28:13

It's not when that would be one somebody.

28:16

What happened was is that his bad

28:18

luck can't get any worse and he gets Rex in the I

28:22

just said, and you said he'll

28:24

bet five, he'll be all right, and he wasn't saying

28:27

I'm just saying that back.

28:28

It always can get worse. That

28:31

it got a little worse.

28:32

He's like my buddies who when the Knights lost

28:34

Game one to win a PEG.

28:39

The seven games series, here realized this is the guy

28:41

that works in sports.

28:42

He and he you know, it's like he's it's like he's

28:44

never watched the sporting event before.

28:46

Down by twenty two minutes ago. We got a chance. Uh,

28:49

let's get into the group.

28:50

B William Byron Tyler Reddick co favorites

28:52

the two forty five, seabell is two eighty,

28:55

and Chase Elliott is three thirty.

28:57

This is intriguing.

28:58

It is because I'm telling you, when I see

29:00

a plus three thirty on Chase Elliott, and

29:03

I keep saying, Okay, Elliott, it's

29:05

going to put it together here, and it's

29:07

coming. It has to come. There's no way

29:10

it doesn't.

29:10

He's got a fifth, a fourth, the seventh thrall sporadic,

29:12

a fifth.

29:13

He has a win here, too, doesn't he?

29:14

No, well, not the last ten.

29:16

No, he should. He should have won here during

29:18

the pandemic. I believe in Kyle he and Kyle Busch,

29:20

and Kyle Busch got on the very

29:23

end. So he is a very

29:25

consistent runner here. And I know Byron

29:27

his teammate. Look, they want to get Chase

29:29

Elliott in the playoffs. That Hendrick crew does.

29:31

I mean, right now, if you're Hendrick, you're staring

29:33

straight down the barrel of only two cars

29:35

making the play.

29:36

That's that's a heck of a I mean, once again,

29:38

enticement, right, That's that's why you

29:41

have odds. That's why you set him the way you do three

29:43

point thirty on a on a four man horse

29:45

race. Where I do like Christopher

29:47

Bell, I do like Tyler Reddick, and I do like William

29:49

Byron. But I've

29:52

been high on Chase Elliott last couple weeks, and he

29:54

hasn't quite done it for

29:56

me. But he keeps keeps knocking

29:58

out these top tens and get back into

30:00

form.

30:01

And and it's another week that this I

30:05

like it. It might entice me enough.

30:07

The three thirty is enough probably to push me over

30:09

the edge on this.

30:09

That's that's what. And that's where I'm like, God, that that number

30:12

is such a good return. It might take me there.

30:14

Let's get into group C and we lead off

30:16

with Kyle Busch your favorite at two forty, Joey

30:18

Logano two fifty five, Ryan

30:20

Blaney two seventy, and Bubba Wallace

30:22

three thirty five.

30:25

Well, if we use your theory, then this is a two

30:27

man horse race between Kyle Busch and Bubba Wallace.

30:29

And I would like Kyle Busch with the two with.

30:31

The with the Fords as bad as they are, you

30:33

know, I can take those two kind of out.

30:36

Bubba.

30:36

He did finish ninth in his last race here, so he

30:38

had his best run ever in his last

30:40

race. He's been running good at the Mount half half's a little

30:42

bit lately.

30:45

Min thirty five.

30:45

But but like you said, I'm I look at Kyle Busch at

30:48

two forty against

30:50

what have you done for me lately?

30:51

On on this stop on not on a.

30:53

Speedway Ish track, which

30:56

is the Fords have been kaka

30:59

at Vegas Kansas, I

31:01

mean.

31:01

And the reason I'm feeling right now like

31:04

I've got two factions pulling me like Stretch

31:06

Armstrong is I'm looking at

31:09

the four in somebody before.

31:11

The young kid, the young kids that don't know Wyatt,

31:13

those behind, well, Brian's behind the desk.

31:15

You remember stretch arm You remember Stretch Armstrong. So

31:18

I'm getting tugged on one side saying,

31:20

You're right, the Fords have been terrible, But I'm

31:22

also getting tugged on the other side saying well,

31:25

Joey Logano finished first and fourth here

31:27

in the two races last year.

31:29

I know it was last year the one that always

31:31

says what have you done for well?

31:32

And we talked about it last week with Bubba Wallace

31:34

where he had not been running well, but Kansas

31:37

he ran really well last year, including winning

31:39

a race, And what did Bubba do?

31:40

He went back to Kansas because has been running

31:42

well at those tracks.

31:44

I agree so, but Bubba hadn't been running as

31:46

I guess certain drivers

31:48

get on certain tracks.

31:49

And the game true,

31:52

she only raised so much.

31:53

I know That's why this group just scares me.

31:55

It's this is my group where I'm going.

31:58

To Bush and zero went on that Baby, I'm there. Group

32:01

D.

32:02

Brad Kaselowski back in a group this week at two to fifty,

32:04

Daniel Suarez two to fifty, Ty Gibbs two eighty,

32:06

Chris Buscher three twenty five. You got

32:09

a Chevy at Toyota and the two Fords bookending

32:11

him. The Fords had definitely been the best. I've been high on

32:13

Brad Keselowski, but man as bad as the

32:15

Fords were last week, I just got

32:17

to take those two out and look at the middle.

32:19

Ty Gibbs was hi. Gibbs was running

32:22

really good.

32:22

Jeff, I agree. I just don't trust him to

32:24

run four hundred miles at Darlington without having

32:26

a problem.

32:27

It puts me on Suarez.

32:30

Yeah, if I had to pick somebody, I probably like Suarez.

32:32

I don't think I'm going to pick this group, but if I

32:34

had to go some way, I think I'd probably would go Suarez.

32:36

All right, let's get.

32:37

Into Group E real quick, and Group

32:40

E leads off with Josh Berry still filling in

32:42

for Alex Bowman at two forty. Eric Jones

32:45

winner in the Fall two forty

32:47

five, Austin Dillon two ninety five, Ricky

32:49

Stenhouse Junior three point fifteen.

32:52

This is the one for me that is the most difficult.

32:54

Austin we've said, is probably the most consistent with

32:57

some of those top tens. Eric Jones is

32:59

one here. Josh be not been very strong the

33:01

last couple of races. Ricky stenth House

33:03

is that hit and miss guy where man sometimes

33:05

he shows up and when he was eighth in this race

33:07

last year, when he shows up, he's good. This

33:10

is the one to me that I have the most convoluted time

33:12

with.

33:13

See I look, I'm taking Eric Jones

33:15

all the way in this steal. Okay, he

33:17

knows this racetrack and his confidence

33:20

level. He pulls

33:22

in the he is going to have more confidence than any other

33:24

race track he races at all year.

33:25

That's a very good and And and

33:28

Eric Jones is in a Chevy. It's not like

33:30

his manufacturer hasn't been running good. Their team hasn't

33:32

been. But last year when he won't

33:35

running that well either, So I've

33:38

maybe he talked me into Eric Jones and maybe we'll

33:40

see, well, we will find out if he

33:42

talked me into Eric Jones and we'll get your group f at our

33:44

picks when we return on Gone Racing.

34:09

This is Gone Racing v SA's

34:11

premier NASCAR betting podcast. You're

34:13

your hosts former NASCAR driver Brendan

34:15

Gohn and Las Vegas Motor Speedways.

34:17

Jeff Motley, welcome

34:20

back.

34:20

In final segment here on Gone Racing and mister Motley,

34:22

we are having a lot of fun talking about our favorite

34:24

subjects, which is the group matchups, and

34:27

we end with our favorite

34:29

group that used to be known as the Chris Bouscher group, but

34:31

he has worked his way out of group

34:33

F and now we always have the most fun

34:35

drivers to pick from, although today not

34:38

very exciting odds on our group F Ryan

34:40

Priest is your favorite two seventy, Chase Priscos to

34:42

seventy, aj Almen Dinger's two seventy and Eric

34:45

Almarola to seventy five.

34:48

See, I'm I'm been listening to you.

34:50

Yes, I'm picking this group,

34:52

okay, And do you know if

34:54

I've been listening to you and I'm picking this group, you should

34:57

know who I'm picking and.

34:57

Why You're probably picking the Dinger because of his experience

35:00

and.

35:00

What did you tell me is going to be terrible. The Fords.

35:03

There's three Fords against aj Almendinger. Yeah,

35:06

give me Almendinger. I'm with you,

35:08

you know what, I dang it. I already I already

35:11

gave Jeff my picks. Maybe I maybe I

35:13

take one back on that one.

35:15

We do have our props this week. Again, we have our

35:17

at least our manufacturer prop is back.

35:19

Up and they have as much faith in the Fords

35:21

as you do.

35:22

Yes, and I enticement

35:24

is not even close to being enticeable.

35:27

Chevy is plus one thirty, toyotas plus one

35:29

forty, and the Fords you can put that

35:31

at plus nine hundred, and I probably wouldn't bet it

35:33

h plus three seventy five.

35:35

Jeff.

35:36

There's there's I do like Tyler Reck, I do like Seabell.

35:39

There are some I like, and I

35:41

like Dannel and Truex. I mean, but

35:44

there are way too many Chevies that run

35:46

way too well here. And even though

35:48

the Toyota won last week, Chevys

35:52

were pretty good all day long last week.

35:54

Also, you know that was a Toyota race

35:56

to start and then and then you

35:58

start back catching up.

36:00

It was so I just I

36:02

still am heavy on at plus one thirty that's

36:04

as good as a head to head, right, I mean, that's the same amount

36:07

of money that I'm getting on a head to head bet. So I kind

36:09

of like that Chevy bet there We'll

36:11

touch real quick. NASCAR Championship odds.

36:13

Nothing really has changed much in

36:15

the last couple of weeks. It's been kind of kind

36:18

of consistent. You know, everybody's

36:20

still staying in the same ranges. The only one that is

36:23

dropping. Keep your eye on Alex

36:25

Bowman is back to his preseason odds

36:27

at thirty to one. I think you and I talked

36:29

another one or two weeks. I think you might even be able

36:31

to get bigger on that. Then you can jump on

36:33

it.

36:34

Ty Gibbs been running well enough.

36:36

I'm not going to say I really want to take one on him,

36:38

but I bet those odds get keep

36:40

shrinking slowly and slowly.

36:42

I think keeps running consistently, and that's the thing. He has

36:44

actually started to run pretty well. Still

36:46

not really getting get finished and yet.

36:47

But he's getting but he's running well, So you got

36:50

that. I think Martin Truex Junior at twelve to one

36:52

is still a steal. I think Kyle Busch at eleven

36:54

to one is still a steal.

36:55

If the Fords could ever figure themselves out,

36:57

Ryan Blaney would be a good value right now.

36:59

Me But the Fordes, we've got to figure something out because

37:02

because they they're not been good. But fifteen

37:04

to one on Ryan Blaney and twelve to one enjoy Thegano

37:07

are also very good. You

37:09

know. Normally this is the part of the show that I've been bragging about,

37:11

love to talk about every other week.

37:12

This week, yeah,

37:14

yeah, we gain Hey the

37:17

last last week, let's show this graphic that they're

37:19

saying yeah about.

37:20

Yeah, they lost two but they lost two

37:23

units.

37:24

But they're saying yeah, because

37:26

they only lost two units.

37:29

Gain three units on you guys, We're coming for you.

37:31

Jeff. We're only six laps down.

37:33

Now, this

37:36

is nineteen seventies NASCAR, where you know there's only

37:38

you know, one guy on the lead lap.

37:40

Well, I wish we could go to the betting window with five laps

37:43

to go every week. Wouldn't that be I'd

37:45

be rich man, I mean I'd be Hey, No.

37:46

We wouldn't.

37:47

We still would have lost some races, because there've been some good

37:49

ones this year, bad week for us

37:51

all last week. I was high on

37:53

on Chase Elliott and Chase just

37:56

he got a good finish, just didn't get

37:58

me there. And I've been I was still high on Josh

38:00

Barry and I'm off the Josh Barry bandwagon

38:03

until you you.

38:04

Know, I'm just telling you there's a

38:06

difference in him in the nine and then forty eight.

38:08

I mean, honestly, I think it's night and day.

38:11

I'm with you.

38:11

I've kind of bummed the picture lost that Corey la joy

38:13

Bet by the way, I was.

38:15

You know, he was running, he ran rough,

38:17

but he made the mistake of running out

38:19

of tires. Yep, he he he was

38:21

part of the reason he was running well is because

38:23

of his tire strategy, but it also cost

38:26

him in the end at.

38:27

The end he had not when they when they did that last

38:29

stop he had I think it was I think they saw on the

38:31

TV like a ten

38:33

lap scuff or something like that.

38:34

Yeah.

38:35

Yeah, he quickly like fell down

38:37

like twenty.

38:37

Well that's what the tires.

38:38

But see, that's what's fun about racing right now

38:40

on this type of track, That's what it used

38:42

to be, on the short tracks, that's what it used to do.

38:44

That's what Darlington will be. Will commers and

38:46

goers.

38:46

Will there be a tire limit a darling. Yeah, they still

38:48

have a limit. It's a it's a very high limit. I

38:50

have to go through the rules.

38:52

I mean, these literally can change tires about every fifteen

38:54

laps.

38:55

It's so bad, Jeff.

38:56

We used to actually, like

38:59

you didn't turn the wheel in the garage. We

39:01

literally used to take tires out pushed

39:04

to qualifying and we would get

39:06

permission to change our tires in qualifying

39:08

line, you know, I mean you didn't want to push them through the

39:10

garage. That's how bad it was on tires.

39:12

It's always been that way. But overall

39:15

the pit crew looks like me. Actually, I don't think I was ever

39:17

that bad last year. We have to go back and look. I

39:19

don't know if I was.

39:20

Ever Wow, I will guarantee

39:22

you weren't that bad before the All Star break.

39:25

Absolutely, Actually I think I was leading before the All

39:27

Star Actually, I think it looked kind of like this for the All Star

39:29

breaks.

39:29

So maybe I need to shut up. Motley.

39:31

You've had a couple bad weeks, dropped yourself into

39:34

precarious position, and I still am

39:36

sitting there in a nice positive I.

39:38

Do want to point out I am closer to

39:40

you than the pit crew is to me right now.

39:42

Oh wow, you're right. Twenty three twenty six.

39:44

Ooh hey, hey, we've been gaining.

39:46

We've been gaining on Jeffs. Brendan, you

39:49

no, no, we're we need luck. But Jane, we're

39:51

coming for second place.

39:52

Baby, all right, gainor we'll let let a

39:54

pit crew with the wwe W.

39:56

Here's a chance. Barrett Jones sixty five to one.

39:59

You're gonna go there?

40:00

Oh no, they Legacy Motorsports as sucking.

40:01

It started off for us.

40:02

Why all right, we're gonna go Chris Urrabel over

40:05

Martin Truck Junior plus one twenty.

40:06

That was an Isaiah pick.

40:08

This is the summer of Denny Hamlin, as he said, even though we're

40:10

still in the spring. Got him to win Group A plus two

40:12

fifty five, Kyle Busch to win Group C

40:14

at plus two forty. I did not take Brendan's advice on

40:16

the Fords. I'm going with old faithful Brad Keselowski

40:19

to win Group D plus two fifty. And

40:21

I'm liking what Austin Dillon has done at Darlington

40:23

in his career.

40:24

Got in to win Group E at plus two ninety

40:26

five.

40:27

He preferred. Brad Kaslowski is old faithful.

40:30

When has he been faithful to the pit crew?

40:33

You guys?

40:33

Yes, every week they don't pick him. Yeah,

40:35

every week they don't pick him. I pick him and I went on him.

40:38

Then they pick him and he loses.

40:39

So I'm gonna have to stay off him this week.

40:41

Mister Molly, please, you get to go second man.

40:43

Well, I'm gonna go one head to head. I'm actually

40:46

gonna go Tyler Reddick over Martin

40:48

Truex Junior.

40:49

The rest of mine are gonna be in the groups.

40:51

I just think this is the week that Kyle Larson finally

40:53

has everything go his way because it's

40:56

been been a few weeks. I'm going Kyle Larson

40:58

in Group A. I can't leave that three

41:00

thirty dangling out there with Chase Elliots.

41:02

I'm going Chase Elliot plus three thirty Participle

41:06

B group by Eric

41:08

Jones. Somebody's got have to prove to me they're they're going to beat

41:10

him. In Group EE. I'm going Eric Jones there plus two forty

41:12

five. And I said it earlier in this segment.

41:14

Group F, I'm going to a j Allmendinger. I'm taking

41:16

the only Chevy against three Fords.

41:18

I see, and I'm kind of bummed

41:20

right now. I'm sitting here, going do

41:23

I change one of my picks for that?

41:24

Do I?

41:25

You're gonna make me scribble?

41:27

I don't know.

41:28

I'm you don't know which one to change.

41:30

So that's the problem is which one do I take

41:32

it?

41:32

You feel so confident you're going five and oh

41:35

if I'm going five, we wouldn't.

41:38

Well, look, three.

41:39

Minutes, I have three. I have three minutes, so I have I

41:41

have a couple minutes to choose.

41:42

Well, let's and we should point out that we

41:45

all think we're going five and O or

41:47

we wouldn't make those picks in the first place, except

41:49

for those times when you pick three guys to win.

41:51

Then I know I'm going, but I'm hoping for the one. I'm

41:53

hoping for the big win. There, I haven't done that. Well,

41:56

let me go back to that page.

42:00

You know. Well, I would say we're live, but

42:02

we're a live tape here, so I'm sure this

42:04

this dead air is going up really well.

42:06

For podcast. You get

42:09

to physically see us, watch us. It's more fun, trust

42:11

me, we have a lot of fun here.

42:12

All right.

42:13

I'm gonna lead off I'm gonna I'm gonna stick with my pick, Jeff,

42:15

because you know, when you start second guesting yourself, go

42:18

with you, go with what you.

42:19

There's a saying he who hesitates

42:21

is lost. There we go.

42:23

I'm going to start with Christopher Bell in a top three

42:26

that plus three thirty Christopher Bell, I

42:29

just I I like it.

42:32

I think he's got something there.

42:33

Then I got two head to heads William Byron versus

42:35

Kyle Larson uh and Tyler

42:37

Reddick versus Martin Truex Junior. The

42:40

it's a head to head a plus one forty and a plus one twenty.

42:42

That's just too big of a number. And look, Larson's

42:44

been running great, but a

42:47

lot of things Larson's had just that you know,

42:49

string of bad luck in this a place that he

42:51

tends to crack an egg, you know where he gets a little too

42:53

close to that wall, makes that mistake. And

42:55

so I think that can happen. And then I'm

42:57

going into group. See that Kyle Busch pick,

43:00

I just it's to me, I like

43:02

that one the best that group see right there, if

43:04

we called we just janks Kyle Busch, I think all three of

43:06

us might have taken it.

43:07

Oh, no, no, no, I did not.

43:08

You didn't, Okay, good two of us did, hopefully

43:10

too.

43:10

Scared of Joey Logano's success here, That's

43:13

why I stayed away from that group.

43:15

And then I instead of going to a j Allendinger,

43:17

I am going to go Chevrolet plus.

43:19

One thirty as the top

43:21

manufacturer. I just Chevy's have been too

43:23

darn strong.

43:25

All right. I like those picks. I

43:28

don't know. I mean, like I said, I was just I don't dislike

43:30

the Kyle Busch pick. I just said, I just

43:33

just couldn't make myself pick somebody other

43:35

than Legano. So I just stayed away.

43:36

I was on the same thing.

43:37

I was really going back and forth, like, man, I know, the

43:39

Fourds have looked bad, but Joey really ran well

43:41

here.

43:41

Last Fords looked.

43:42

Awful, guys.

43:43

I mean they got to come with something.

43:45

You know, they're they're sitting in their meetings, going, we gotta do

43:47

something.

43:48

Do we say the same thing about the Toyotas at the beginning

43:50

of the year, and then they kind of really went on

43:52

a hot streak here.

43:53

No, because they were good at Vegas too, I mean they were

43:55

they came. Yeah, they're a good middle the same thing. Like Kansas.

43:57

They were a good mill of the race early in the race and then they

44:00

kind of faded. But well,

44:02

mister Motley, that has gone racing for the

44:06

Mother's Day weekend race. Happy Mother's Day to all

44:08

the mothers out there. I hope you guys

44:10

have a fantastic day. I remember back when I used to race

44:12

my mom's We used to come and we used to give them the rose.

44:14

They used to not even race.

44:15

Well that was, but I got to the Infinity.

44:17

We did do a little bit.

44:18

Remember we didn't race on Easter. We didn't race on Mother's Day, and now

44:20

we race on Easter, we race on Mothers We take Father's

44:22

Day off.

44:23

Now those are the two holy weekends.

44:25

We take Father's Day off. Now go figure that's.

44:27

Right, mind, I'm

44:29

definitely not going to go there. Thank

44:31

goodness. We only have about ten seconds left, mister

44:33

Motley. Great job. Good to see it will

44:35
