This is Gone Racing, Vison's

0:04

premier NASCAR betting podcast. Here

0:06

are your hosts, former NASCAR driver Brendan

0:08

Gone and Las Vegas Motor Speedways

0:10

Jeff Motley.

0:12

And the green flag is in the air. He remembered

0:14

the flag.

0:15

Yeah, that's right, he's got him. Oh wait, he's got it wrapped.

0:17

There we go, got it, got it loose.

0:18

He's in a black flag. Leek for that comment, probably

0:20

black flag and Henford get the gotta

0:23

work on that.

0:23

Welcome in Everybody, Gone Racing Vson Studio,

0:26

Mister Jeffrey Motley, William, Brendan

0:28

Gougan, my brother's coming, little crash

0:30

growing up.

0:31

If they knew them what they knew now, they wouldn't made me that well

0:34

foreshadowing kind

0:36

of well.

0:38

I ran to Jessky into the side of a seventy

0:40

nine foot vote full.

0:41

Throttle, so anyway and live to

0:43

tell about it.

0:44

And he walked away, you know those visits, And he

0:46

walked away away.

0:47

I didn't really have somebody had doctor Droli's kid.

0:49

Rico had to come in and get me.

0:51

Welcome man, guys, Welcome to Gone Racing.

0:53

Mister Motley, we had a a not

0:55

Crayola crayon three to oh one last

0:58

week, and I'm.

0:59

Going to have to start this show.

1:01

I am whooping everybody in the Gone Racing

1:03

Betting League and it's very obvious,

1:05

and I will be continue to kind of pound that and

1:07

not to the point where I crash

1:09

and burn because I'm overbragging. Just want to make

1:12

sure you know we tell the folks at home I'm

1:14

on fire this year. But I think

1:16

I get a minus fifty point.

1:19

We got to go back one of these days and say.

1:21

Oh, we will once we get toward the end of the season,

1:23

we get into the playoffs.

1:24

The biggest disappointment this year is going to be Martin TRUEX

1:26

Junior, and that might be the

1:29

biggest flub in the history of any

1:32

podcast, radio show, tv show, whatever you want to call

1:34

it.

1:34

Well, and it's hard to predict him if you looked off

1:36

what he did last year and he missed the playoffs last

1:38

year.

1:39

But here's the used fifth in points last year and

1:41

missed the playoffs.

1:41

That's true. That was where yeah, and

1:44

he didn't he didn't win a race.

1:45

He really he was only in it

1:48

in a couple of them, really, and there's a lot of

1:50

talk about was he going to walk away and they're still

1:52

talk about is he going to walk away after this year?

1:54

But yeah, you're right, Brent.

1:55

I mean Martin Trickx Junior, what he's

1:57

doing lately, he's the guy to beat now.

1:59

Well, and here's the thing, Monday races.

2:02

I was listening to the Morning Drive with with p D and Baggy,

2:04

you know, and I think they said something like,

2:06

of the last twelve races run

2:08

on Monday, Martin trust Junior has won

2:10

like seven of them or something like that.

2:12

That's nuts. The dude is like Monday, Martin.

2:14

You know what was the old saying, you know, the only only things

2:17

that hold true on Monday? Or death taxes and a Raiders

2:19

win on Monday night. And

2:21

Martin Trux Junior winning on Monday and

2:23

just winning. I don't think we've seen a domination

2:25

like this since Martin

2:28

Truex Junior in the Coca Cola six hundred.

2:30

It was definitely dominant. He he really

2:32

kind of just went out and it was his race to win. Early

2:35

on, Christopher Bell looked looked really good. But

2:37

that team keeps shooting itself in the foot every week, it

2:39

seems like.

2:39

But hold on, Christopher Bell looked good. Yes, Christopher

2:42

Bell looked good, led one

2:44

laugh. What do you look good? Eric

2:46

Almrolla looked like he had was

2:48

going to be good.

2:50

Yeah, four lasts and then his team doesn't they

2:52

put the under on.

2:53

I mean that's but but you know, people were saying, oh,

2:55

this guy look good, this guy look good.

2:58

Eric Almroller led four laps, Christopher be Well led

3:00

one lap, William Byron led nine

3:03

laps. Ricky Stenhouse at some point

3:05

during a pit cycle or something, led three laps.

3:08

Austin Dillon led twelve laps. Kevin

3:10

Harvick led.

3:11

Ten laps two

3:13

hundred and fifty four of three hundred

3:16

and one laps.

3:16

Yeah.

3:17

I mean it's probably the most dominant

3:19

performance in New Hampshire since that ill fated

3:21

year they tried putting the restrictor plates on and Jeff

3:23

Burton led every lap of the race and one that was

3:25

awful. So I just think though Martin TRICKX Junior

3:27

has pretty much sent the message now that

3:29

it doesn't matter where we race, he's going

3:32

to be a guy to beat. I don't care for on a mile a

3:34

half mile, we're on a big super speedway or on

3:36

a road course. It's hard to pick

3:38

against him.

3:38

Right now, when you talk about the three manufacturers, we've

3:40

talked about the Fords being very you know, especially

3:43

betting wise, right, Fords are always the dog every

3:45

week, and they're there for a reason.

3:46

Chevy has been the top dog.

3:48

But Chevy has the weakness on the

3:50

tracks that the Fords are good on. Chevy's

3:52

weakness is that flat track. Unfortunately

3:54

for Chevrolet. That is Phoenix,

3:57

right That's where the big check gets cut.

4:00

That is Chevy's Achilles heel right now is the short

4:02

track and the and this flatter

4:04

style mile Phoenix E style

4:06

plays.

4:07

Toyota is overall probably.

4:09

The best make when it comes to both

4:13

all the style tracks, super Speedway, mile

4:15

and a half and the short track.

4:17

But it's almost like it's different drivers. Like on the

4:19

super Speedway it's Danny and Bubba,

4:22

you know, but they got a mirror, but they got

4:24

that, right, Did you.

4:25

Go to Phoenix?

4:26

If you went to Phoenix tomorrow, you're

4:28

saying, I'm picking Martin Drugs Junior, Right.

4:30

Picking Martin, I'm picking I'm picking Seabell,

4:33

I'm picking you know, Denny, maybe Denny

4:38

too.

4:38

Many of the Toyota teams have been self

4:40

inflicted problems.

4:41

This year.

4:41

But I just love I love watching

4:44

sometimes it's fun watching melt downs.

4:46

When you just go, man, that's pretty funny right there.

4:48

Let's get to what we do. The Martin Truch Junior did win New Hampshire

4:50

in that dominant fashion. He was not the favorite,

4:52

actually he was the co He was second favorite.

4:55

He was plus six fifty to win top three plus

4:57

twenty five Group A at two forty, and

4:59

Toyota was the favorite at one

5:02

to win the to be the winning

5:04

manufacturer.

5:05

And then you go to the top threes.

5:07

Joey Logano was plus four hundred, Kyle

5:09

Larson was plus two forty. A lot

5:11

of chalk heavy at the top of the board, but

5:14

still and Martin we

5:16

said, was one eighty five.

5:17

But look at some of the names.

5:18

This is what we got to look at, man, this season,

5:20

this new car since we've come with this car Motley. How

5:23

about the resurgence of r FK. Brad

5:25

Keselowski another top five. Kevin

5:28

Harvick I said, what have

5:30

you done for me lately? Kevin in New Hampshire gets it

5:32

done? Missus A top three by one spot

5:34

was there late in the running. Austin

5:37

Dillon with a solid run, Chase Briscoe with a much

5:39

needed top ten, Bubba Wallace with

5:42

a stellar top ten right there, Tyler

5:44

Redick, you just talked about him solid

5:46

top ten, you know what I mean?

5:48

You know?

5:48

And you you actually just brought up the

5:51

Chevrolets and there's only two in

5:53

that top ten right there, Kyle two Austin

5:55

not the two that you Kyle Marson are sure but

5:57

you expectedly William Byron there and cha

6:00

cha Chase Elliott. I'm telling you

6:02

right now, I'm convinced he is not making

6:04

the playoff.

6:05

I'm still gonna go minus

6:07

things that we've talked about on air that we don't off

6:10

air, that we're not going to, you know, mention on

6:13

I still think Chase.

6:14

Is going to get So he has to win Watkins glenor

6:16

he doesn't make it, because I just don't see where he's winning anywhere

6:18

else. They've not been consistent at

6:20

all in any ovals. And you can't put your

6:22

eggs in the Daytona basket.

6:24

Well there's a road course, but unfortunately

6:26

two road courses. But did you see who's who's coming

6:28

back for Indy? Our boy Shane

6:31

Fanspergen.

6:32

Oh you got the pronunciation down. I'm impressed

6:35

he's not German. I don't know why I give it the German

6:37

accent for the kill. I think it's probably a giant

6:39

favorite.

6:39

And now I was like, what was that? I

6:42

think it's a German heritage, is

6:44

it?

6:44

Ben?

6:45

It sounds very it sounds very German heritage. I mean,

6:47

I mean, I mean it could be Kiwi. I

6:49

don't know he is a Kiwi, but he's a Kiwi. Got

6:51

a German name.

6:52

Yeah, I'm also watching a

6:54

little baseball.

6:55

But yeah,

6:58

folks, you got the British choping on.

7:00

We got some I don't know who on

7:02

earth are the Juco products and the heart

7:04

Fire playing basketball. I mean, we got

7:07

some obscure stuff on the

7:09

DC in this studio.

7:11

I don't even know who that is.

7:14

Uh.

7:14

Season standings, we've been talking about it. Leader

7:16

in the clubhouse. William Byron is still your

7:18

playoff leader with the four wins. But Martin

7:21

Truex Junior is actually the point

7:23

regular season point leader right now.

7:24

He's got seventeen points that come out of nowhere too.

7:26

Honestly, he was he was sitting fourth, fifth, sixth

7:29

a couple weeks ago and really climbed up

7:31

there to get there.

7:32

Are you getting off though, We're gonna have more winners.

7:34

Yeah, I think we're finally. I think everybody

7:36

is safe now. That is one erase that

7:38

they will be locked in. I do believe

7:40

that. But this cutoff line, Motley,

7:44

this is the time of year that I love looking at this

7:46

cutoff line.

7:47

We are talking a.

7:48

Battle roy al one

7:51

point one point

7:53

and nineteen points.

7:55

I mean one point between fifteen and sixteen

7:57

and one point between sixteen and seventeen.

8:00

So even if we get a winner right now that's not in the

8:02

top sixteen, it still makes the cut

8:04

off line one point with four people.

8:06

Yeah.

8:06

Now if we get two winners not in the top,

8:09

then it's sixteen right now.

8:10

Then you get a little breathing room, but not much, and

8:13

you know it doesn't take much. But man,

8:15

this cutoff line is absolutely amazing. Look at the names

8:17

that are still in Chris Buscher RFK breathing

8:21

a little sigh of relief.

8:22

Little Rowski, you got a little bit of

8:24

a cushion.

8:24

Bobl Wallace in there, Michael McDowell in

8:27

there, and the guys outside. Look at the Dinger with

8:29

his return to cup. Look at Daniel Swarez

8:31

sitting right.

8:31

There, and look here, you think about a j Almendinger

8:34

got in Indianapolis's road course and Watkins

8:37

Glenn coming up. Look, I

8:39

think he's going to be a guy to really

8:41

be looked at.

8:42

There.

8:43

It's close. I mean, look the Dinger's right

8:45

there. And look who's outside. You still got Alex

8:47

Bowman down there in twentieth place.

8:49

You've still got Chase Elliott outside. You still got Austin

8:52

Dillon outside. You've got some heavy hitters

8:54

sitting outside here.

8:56

Bowman to be that close is a

8:58

miracle, given the way he's running, like.

9:00

No, and that's he's he's been. He

9:03

disappeared again.

9:04

But isn't that what we said at the start of the season, You and I we said

9:06

that about Byron and Bowman.

9:08

Now Byron has not disappeared. Byron's been.

9:10

Byron's been good. You know, Larson hasn't been as

9:12

good the whole Hendrick team. I mean, and look, Byron

9:14

wasn't that great at New Hampshire. I know we want led a few laps,

9:16

but that I think part of that was just.

9:19

The Chevy's were not good. I

9:21

mean, let's least be frank, the Chevys

9:23

weren't good. Chevy's were second tier there, you

9:25

know, absolutely, But you know you look

9:28

at Alex Bowman. That's

9:30

the m o he has, Right, we talk about him,

9:32

he gets a win, we tied it, we bed

9:34

him a few weeks, and then he kind of we stopped

9:37

betting him because you stop talking about him. And then all of a

9:39

sudden they figured

9:41

out and Alex Bowman wins two more races,

9:43

you know, So that's what that's the fear with

9:45

Hendrick, Right.

9:46

They can win one of these last six. It isn't gonna

9:48

matter that he.

9:49

Can do it by points. Still, I do believe

9:51

you asked about Chase Elliott. I do believe Chase

9:53

is going to take a win. But bowmana

9:55

is.

9:55

Well, if Chase takes a win, that makes it even harder

9:58

to get in our points.

10:00

Well, I mean asked, where do you think Chase Ala could get the

10:02

win? Are you more likely on the road course?

10:03

Do you think, I say, Watkins Glenn is his only? Look

10:06

you look at the Cup coming schedule. Chase Elliott won this

10:08

race last year.

10:09

Okay, he didn't finish first, okay, but

10:11

he won on race day.

10:13

He can win at Richmond, he can win at Michigan.

10:15

He can win it Indian and he can win at Watkins Glenn, and he

10:17

can win it.

10:18

At he can win he can win

10:20

win anywhere.

10:21

He's not going to Watkins Glenn

10:23

is the one I think he really really has to

10:25

zero.

10:26

Feel like we have a side bed coming up here now.

10:28

I just look, I kind of

10:30

want to see something.

10:31

I don't disagree.

10:32

That's all I'm saying is I've seen nothing out of

10:34

Chase Elliott right now that makes me think he's

10:36

going to be a contender to win or make

10:38

the playoffs at all.

10:40

Let's show the schedule that we're talking about. So this

10:42

is basically all except one to the playoffs,

10:44

and it starts with what we just said, poking o. We're going to

10:47

talk about this week. Then you got Richmond, Virginia.

10:49

By the way, that high Point dot Com I don't think has

10:51

anything to do with the town in North Carolina. So

10:54

I think they're just trying to mess

10:56

with you. In these sponsors, they are.

10:57

To cookout, though at least we.

10:59

Don't cookout cooking that's not in our backyard.

11:01

Trust me, I know a cookout is fire Keepers

11:03

Casino, Farner, Michigan. I'll be there with the Beard Oil

11:05

team We're coming to that race, our first non super.

11:07

Speed You're actually gonna go, Yep, I'm gonna go.

11:09

And then the road course at Indy which might be the last

11:11

one for Cup and Walkins Glenn Thego

11:14

Bowling dot Com at the Glen So.

11:16

And then we only have one race left in

11:18

there.

11:20

So eclectic schedule coming up here, really

11:22

kind of cool poking of course, the tricky Triangle.

11:25

It is a super speedway race, so much fun.

11:27

Race is Sunday, July twenty third, two thirty Eastern

11:30

Chase Elliott finished third last year but

11:32

won the race without leading a single lap.

11:34

We'll talk about it when we come back, when.

11:36

We go to give you the odds and all of

11:38

the great stuff that mister Motley and I, or at least I tell

11:40

you.

12:03

This is Gone Racing, FISA's

12:05

premier NASCAR Beny Podcast. You're

12:08

your hosts former NASCAR driver Brendan

12:10

Gone and Las Vegas Motor Speedways

12:12

Jeff Motley.

12:16

A very excited green flag back out in the air. Only

12:18

you and I will appreciate it.

12:19

It's like we got Harold Kindern, Doyle Ford all lild

12:21

into one over there.

12:22

You and I would appreciate older race

12:24

fans list. Nobody else understands that we

12:27

do.

12:28

Is that is that the Earl Ross.

12:30

Commander Ross nugget for the day.

12:31

I mean, I mean Harold Kendran, Doyle Ford pretty much

12:33

comps to about thirty five years of NASCAR is

12:35

the flag.

12:36

But nobody else knows that except for Hell

12:39

I did. I bet even like Jimmy Johnson and those guys

12:41

don't know that.

12:41

That's just those were guys that I paid attention to maybe

12:44

so they were they were the really

12:46

fair. Harold was one was in the flag stand at Talladega

12:48

and barely missed and

12:50

Bobby Alson's car, both of them.

12:52

He's the one that almost got He was ducking and almost

12:54

got hit. Okay, welcome

12:56

back in.

12:57

It is the high

12:59

Point dot com.

13:02

Three hundred whatever it is, and I think

13:04

that's a technology company, right, it's

13:06

not hype. Once again, I thought, I don't think it's

13:09

I don't think it's the Convention Bureau

13:11

and high Point. It's definitely not sponsoring the race in

13:13

Pennsylvania, but it is Pocono.

13:15

And of course I do love Pokeon. You know, do you know that they

13:17

asked me to be you know how you guys get a driver every.

13:19

Year to do your Oh I know this hut

13:21

they asked me. It was COVID. I was on the call

13:23

that I was on the call that day when they picked you.

13:26

They get a thing where where

13:28

every track is to pick a driver to cut to do their

13:30

pre race pr for the year. And

13:33

all these names were left for Pocono to pick and

13:35

and and they they called my name, and NASCAR

13:37

went, he doesn't drive anymore, and they go, we don't

13:39

care, we want.

13:41

I haven't texted A guy said, hey, you realize he's

13:43

not going to be racing at Pokoner right.

13:45

Well, it doesn't matter that.

13:46

They they they they called me in there. But

13:48

I love the I love the family. Mattie OLiS are great.

13:51

They're fantastic up there. Love Pocono,

13:53

love the track. It is some only track that

13:55

you actually get scared going down a straight away.

13:57

It's okay.

13:58

There have been some you know, I guess I remember what

14:00

Ken Schrader, Jeff Gordon, Bubba Waas all

14:02

going into turn one losing the brakes.

14:04

And I lost a motor going in and it's the Skandale

14:07

Jarrett may have had one of those.

14:08

We had some bad ones. On the backstretch. Remember the Yeah,

14:10

but Steve Park.

14:11

And turn one. I'm telling you,

14:13

turn one.

14:14

On trip, Davy Allison back there, Turn.

14:16

One scares the hell out of you, I gotta tell you, man.

14:18

But the guys that aren't scared of it, apparently, when we talk

14:20

about Pokemo driver track stats, Danny

14:22

Hamlin, we're talking

14:24

almost fifty percent top five here, Jeff.

14:28

Fifty and like and over

14:31

in like a sixty seven percent top

14:33

ten ten.

14:34

I mean some amazing stats there from guys even

14:36

Chase Elliott eight out of thirteen top

14:38

ten.

14:39

You know, look at some of these numbers, and even.

14:41

Kevin Harvick, he's at the bottom with forty three starts,

14:44

fifteen top fives, and you go, oh, it's

14:46

not as good as Danny Hamlin twenty two times.

14:48

I mean phenomenal stats here for

14:51

some guys, even Brad Keselowski. Look

14:53

at that fifteen top tens

14:55

and twenty five starts. So there are some guys

14:57

with some amazing numbers here. And of course Chris

14:59

Bush's on this because he had the famous the

15:01

Fog year where they had to call the race for fog and

15:03

they took a shot at it.

15:05

So I think this is a real

15:08

driver's track, though, I mean we don't.

15:11

We rarely Okay, Chris Bush, you're not standing because

15:13

we had a weather situation.

15:14

We don't typically see a big upset

15:17

here.

15:17

You see you see fuel mileages, you see upsets

15:19

that way. But let me tell you something. Scariest

15:21

turn in the sport turn one. You're doing

15:24

the fastest you've done, your motors about to blow up, and you see

15:26

a ninety degree turn.

15:27

It is the most frightening thing.

15:29

Biggest cahone's turn in the sport turn

15:31

two because it's flat

15:33

foot, super flat, and then a driver

15:36

and the bump and the tunnel bump

15:38

right there. Everything about turn two is just frightening

15:40

and scary when you're going to it down shifting, I

15:42

mean unbelievable. And turn three is

15:45

a driver's turn Saint Louis,

15:47

Phoenix, New Hampshire, flat, faster

15:50

than all of them, and you're just dancing

15:52

that it's it is absolutely a super

15:54

fun track as a driver.

15:55

And you know, if you don't get off turn three, screw

15:57

for the you got a long trail, don't.

16:00

Undertand why there's only three turns there? If Las Vegas

16:02

Motor Speedway has four then Pocono has six. Let's

16:05

get into the odds to win. Uh,

16:08

there are two turns at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

16:10

One over there, one over there.

16:12

Theoretically, every OVAL's got one turn right,

16:15

Well, well they have straightaway, still be two, that's

16:17

what no, I guess I'm saying one in each ten.

16:19

Yeah, theoretically, so if we

16:21

call ovals four turns, then Pocono should have six.

16:23

Maybe Pocono's got five because

16:26

the tunnel turn is not like a turn like

16:28

the others. That's just a little great because

16:30

if you think about it, Kink Phoenix, Well, if you want to get

16:32

truthful about it, then Las Vegas Motor Speedway should

16:34

be considered a big turn down the whole front straightaway.

16:37

Really, you start turning going into turn

16:39

three, you don't you stop Two

16:41

Vegas. My point is you start turning

16:44

on most of these ovals going into turn three,

16:46

and you don't stop turning until you come off turn two.

16:48

Really true, Well that's all I'm saying. These

16:50

big, sweeping D shaped

16:52

tracks like Richmond, Kansas.

16:55

It's the first ever turn debates and gone race

16:57

in history.

16:58

You know, it was better than crapshoot to

17:00

date.

17:00

It wouldn't be fine if Brenda and I couldn't find something

17:03

just to disagree about.

17:04

We need to give people odds, which is what we're supposed to

17:06

be doing here. It is a gambling show,

17:08

Yes it is. Yes, this is a gambling show. We're supposed to

17:10

be talking about gambling. So let's get to that, and

17:13

we start off with our favorite this week, the guy that should

17:15

be the favorite every week, but he's co favorites Martin

17:17

Truex Junior, Kyle Busch, Denny Hammon, all

17:19

favorites, al Tooya, oh no.

17:20

Not all toyotas forgot, Kyle Busch isn't check.

17:23

Kyle Larson seven to fifty, William Byron nine

17:25

hundred, double digits from there, Ryan Blaney,

17:28

Roschastein eleven, Chase Elliott twelve, Tyler

17:30

Redick, Christopher Bell fourteen, Kevin Harvick joyily

17:32

gone on sixteen, Daniel Suarez, Bubba Wallace

17:34

twenty eight, Ty Gibbs, Brad Keselowski

17:37

thirty five to one's, and Jeff William

17:40

Byron at nine hundred and

17:43

Ross.

17:43

Schastan was good here.

17:44

If you remember, this was the Denny Hamlin ros

17:46

Shastean debate last year where Denny just

17:48

just did him in and

17:51

Ross was fast. So you

17:53

know the double digit on ros Shastean, you

17:55

know a couple.

17:56

Other double digit ones a jump out of me.

17:58

A guy who seems always be good

18:00

here is Ryan Blaney and he's eleven

18:02

to one. And the guy who granted he crossed

18:04

the finish line fourth, but he placed second here

18:07

last year, Tyler Reddick, and now he's

18:09

moved into a Toyota, and we know how good the Toyotas

18:12

have run at this racetrack. Tyler

18:14

Reddick at fourteen to one, I think both of those

18:16

really kind of jump out at me. Bubba

18:18

Wallace is going to run here at twenty eight to one, and

18:21

Brad Kaslowski, the guy's been good every week

18:23

and he's been pretty solid here at this racetrack. I

18:25

mean, I think he's finished in the top ten and half

18:27

of his starts.

18:29

And maybe not for the win. Maybe

18:31

that Bubba Wallace for the win might be a little long.

18:33

But the Toyota has been so good at this the

18:35

big fast motor tracks twenty

18:37

eight to one. When we get to top threes might be something

18:39

we talked about a little more. Let's get to the second page.

18:41

I don't. The second page has a couple of anomalies

18:44

on its me.

18:45

You start with Alex Bowman at thirty five to one, and

18:47

that's a guy that can win this race in my opinion,

18:49

So that one's a tough one for me to say he should

18:52

be second page. Then he jumped big gap, Chris

18:54

Buscher sixty, Austin.

18:55

Dillon former winner here, Chris bushery, that's

18:57

right, he did win here. I mean, yes, he did. Nobody

18:59

has to I don't drop take away

19:01

from it.

19:02

Austin Dillon, aj Allmendinger at nineties, Eric

19:04

Allen roll one hundred, and then massive long shots

19:06

after that, I mean, even Chase Priscott. I don't

19:08

think we need to go that far down to talk about those guys.

19:11

But Alex Bowman,

19:13

I mean, Hendrick Carr.

19:16

This is a guy with nine starts, four

19:18

top five, four top tens, two top fives

19:20

and a win here.

19:23

So thirty five to one.

19:25

And we talk about how Alex Bowman disappears, disappears,

19:27

disappears, and then all of a sudden bang, he

19:29

shows up thirty

19:31

five to one.

19:32

Well, and that's the thing. If this is Bang week,

19:34

then that's great. Thirty five to one. I

19:37

just you know me, I'm not gonna go and get behind

19:39

a guy until he shows me something. And right now, Alex

19:41

Bowman, has it really showed me?

19:43

You need to get ahead of the curve and you hit

19:45

that week because you know that. Look, those guys win any

19:47

given week.

19:48

It says the guy that's fifty points ahead of the rest

19:50

of us in the standing. So you might as well go pick Alex

19:52

truth. But I'm just saying, is it really that much? Uh

19:55

So a thirty five to one would only cut the march.

19:59

You need two of those.

20:01

Let's get to the top threes because this

20:04

is where I think that first page is really going to come in. Martin

20:06

Trux and Kyle Busch and Denny Hamlin all very

20:09

very very small plus one fifties, Kyle

20:11

Larson two hundred, William Byron two fifty

20:13

Blaney chacet Ay and or three hundred, Chase Laight

20:15

three fifty, Tyler Redick, Seabell four's,

20:18

Kevin Harvick, Joey Logano four fifty, Daniel

20:20

Swerez, Bubba Wallace eight hundred, Ty Gibbs nine

20:22

and Brad k nine. This is where I like what

20:24

you were talking about that Bubba Wallace number plus

20:27

eight hundred. Yeah,

20:30

I mean, you know the other thing here, forget his stats,

20:32

he's just run well lately. I mean that he's got

20:34

two top tens. Here by the way, Bubba has

20:36

one top five and two top tens and nine starts

20:38

and there, what have you done for me? Lately's fifth

20:40

and twenty twenty one eighth last year.

20:43

And I think we've seen this entire

20:45

year him getting more and more comfortable. I mean,

20:47

he's showing more confidence right now. Here's

20:49

what I see up here.

20:50

Now.

20:51

Look, I honestly do believe Denny

20:53

Hamlin, Martin Trix Junior probably finished

20:55

in the top three unless unless something goes wrong.

20:57

I mean, they're so good here, good here. We got to tell

20:59

you what.

20:59

The last few weeks, Kyle Busch's

21:01

team has not been good. And to

21:04

me, I'm looking at that and saying, Okay, somebody,

21:06

I can fade that, somebody who's plus two

21:09

hundred or more is going to get a top three,

21:11

because I don't think Kyle Busch is finishing in the top

21:13

three this week.

21:14

No, I mean I've faded him

21:16

a little right now until they make a little bit of a comeback.

21:18

But I still like a lot of these numbers,

21:20

and when you get to the second page, I want to kick

21:22

off with that same guy I just talked about for the win.

21:25

Alex Bowman is plus nine hundred. I

21:28

like that.

21:29

Chris Buscher's fifteen eighty is twenty

21:31

two with aj Allmendinger, Eric Allen, roll of

21:33

twenty eight pre Stenhouse Haley,

21:35

Eric Jones, Brisco All at four is.

21:37

A little bit of road course characteristic

21:39

in that track, and Almudinger

21:41

twenty two to one.

21:43

Call it cars, that's what you

21:46

know. And RFK has been really good this year.

21:48

Chris Buscher's been Chris Busch has been solid,

21:50

top tens, pushing top five.

21:52

He's comfortably into playoffs right now unless

21:54

we get a couple of upset wins.

21:56

So I mean, you know there's some deals here, but plus nine hundred

21:58

for Alex Bowman, Okay, you don't think he's gonna win last

22:01

nine Hunter for a top three, Jeff, that gets you

22:03

one sixth of the way back to you know, getting to me.

22:05

So you know, I mean, it's it's it's

22:08

close. I knew that was coming. I

22:10

like it.

22:11

Let's say, how about uh, let's go for Corey

22:13

La Joy for a top three, and I really need it this

22:15

week.

22:16

Oh but I mean, listen, Corey's

22:18

been running prett darn good.

22:19

I mean I wouldn't say top Let's say that's

22:22

what I That just tells you how far behind Brendan

22:24

that I am.

22:24

I need Corey La Joy to finish the top three.

22:26

Here here's the problem with the Corey La Joy. Let's

22:28

let's just not to pick on Corey. They've

22:30

been running great, but you

22:32

don't see this is a track where Motor

22:35

Arrow, the whole package has to come in.

22:37

Spire just doesn't have that whole

22:39

package. Yeah. I

22:42

ain't picking Corey La Joy either, but we

22:44

come back head heads and get into the groups.

23:39

Mister Jeffrey Motley, we are back in

23:41

the fabulous Vson studio

23:43

at the that's okay,

23:45

south Point tell because you spa uh,

23:48

we.

23:48

Have got plenty of south Point gear on

23:50

tweek.

23:51

We take our privilege, right, I mean we so everybody

23:53

knows that most of the guys on Vson where their sports codes

23:55

and all that, and anybody that's known me

23:57

in my career knows that that probably isn't going to

23:59

be I preferred.

24:01

So we do get a little privilege.

24:02

As long as we're a south point four hundred gear, we get

24:05

it kind of a pass.

24:06

And you.

24:08

Made it through the whole season without showing up

24:10

with their shirt on inside out, And

24:14

I made it through the entire season without starting

24:16

the show talking into no microphone.

24:19

Professional.

24:20

Yes, I showed up and we started the show

24:23

and my shirt was inside out.

24:24

That one's impressive.

24:25

That was a good one.

24:26

And then Motley did start a show with I'm

24:28

looking around and the microphone was sitting down

24:31

beside it.

24:32

Was it was on the floor.

24:33

Jeff started talking, and it was like, so,

24:36

while Jeff grabs his microphone that is on the floor.

24:39

So we've had a couple of single shots this year, one while

24:42

or not this year, but on the show, one while you're changing

24:44

his shirt.

24:44

And while I'm finding a microphone.

24:47

Well, professionally, I'm getting T shirts.

24:49

I'm getting T shirts. It's going

24:51

to be the The picture is gonna be the pick crew all

24:53

battered and bruised because of the Oh yeah,

24:56

notice the hit. That picture is like disappeared.

24:58

Oh yeah, it's gone into oblivion.

25:00

Oh yeah, I don't want it to be when the picks

25:02

come from last week. I'm hin

25:04

myself up here a little bit, all.

25:06

Right, So let's get to.

25:06

Our head to heads And even a

25:09

one hundred hitter hits a home run every once in a while,

25:11

right yeah, just.

25:12

Even a blind squirrel, the old saying you got it.

25:15

Head to heads this week, there are some decent

25:17

returns right here, and a couple of them

25:19

that I like. And the one that pops out on the page

25:21

to me is a plus one twenty William

25:24

Byron to a minus one forty Kyle

25:26

Busch. You and I both agree that we're fading

25:29

Kyle a little bit at the moment, and

25:31

William Byron plus one twenty your playoff

25:34

point leader, one of the hottest guys, maybe

25:36

not the hottest right now. Trucks's kind of taking that mantle,

25:39

but William Byron isn't too far removed

25:41

from the hottest guy in the sport. He's getting a plus

25:43

one twenty and a head to head battle. I

25:46

really like that.

25:47

Well, you know how I said earlier, I said, it's

25:49

kind of fun when you and I disagree. Well,

25:51

they were not having any fun right here, because I'm a

25:53

one hundred percent agreement with you. And not only that,

25:56

but I am on the don't

25:58

Kyle Busch big time this week Kyle

26:00

Larson plus one ten and Ross

26:03

Chesstain plus.

26:05

I'm really going on the don't line with Kyle bish.

26:07

I love you, Kyle, but I mean, right now, I think Kyle

26:09

would even say. Look, he had the hat trick last week.

26:11

He wrected in practice erect in qualifying erect

26:13

in the race.

26:14

We call that Johnny west Townley, God

26:17

rest his soul. Oh God, I forgot. Oh that's

26:20

harsh man. You sorry. I can't

26:22

take that one back. Nobody wanted.

26:24

I didn't mean it, I understand, but

26:26

I feel feel bad and we every time I think

26:28

though, you know, he actually won a truck racings,

26:31

but unfortunately I can never get out of my head

26:33

he and Spencer Gallagher rolling around

26:35

on the turn two.

26:36

Gay.

26:37

Yeah, Spencer can't get that up

26:39

of set either. So what

26:41

we do like though I don't disagree.

26:43

I mean Kyle Larson, I mean, here's a guy, Kyle

26:45

Larson, right, I mean, Larson is phenomenal

26:47

everywhere we go, and he is,

26:50

you know, but Kyle Larson, what have you done for me lately?

26:52

Four wins last ten races, eight top

26:54

ten, seven top fives last ten races.

26:56

You know, you look at at what

26:59

he's.

26:59

Done and and don't forget that stat

27:01

I just gave you has one that he was disqualified.

27:05

So if you took the ten races.

27:08

He actually has five wins,

27:11

nine top tens, eight top fives in

27:14

the last ten races.

27:16

Yeah, that's pretty strong.

27:18

I mean, that's that's why. But if

27:20

you go for being faded right now

27:23

because of what we've seen right now,

27:26

I do like the way in Byron one twenty.

27:28

I do that's my favorite one in the head to head

27:30

matchups.

27:31

Uh, let's jump into the into our of course,

27:33

the the perennial favorites here on gone race and is our

27:35

group matchups, and there are some really fun

27:37

numbers here as well. This week, the

27:39

Better the Westgate is definitely trying

27:41

to give us some enticement, and they start right

27:43

off the bat with Krupe Denny Hamlin at

27:45

two forty five, Marty Truex Junior

27:48

and Kyle Busch two sixty five and Kyle

27:50

Larson three twenty. Jeff, the

27:52

hottest guy in the sport right off the

27:54

bat is not your favorite at

27:56

two sixty five.

27:57

Yeah, you know right here.

27:58

I mean, first off, I like Tricks win the race, but

28:00

I'm gonna like him a lot if he keeps running

28:02

like this. I really and it's

28:04

we just said it a minute ago. I'm really not feeling

28:07

Kyle Busch. Kyle Busch, So maybe

28:09

this is a three person group. The problem

28:11

is that the two guys I think that are probably gonna win

28:13

this group with the two at the top, and

28:16

so I don't think Kyle Larson wins this group.

28:18

Then then you got a two man horse race at two forty five,

28:20

two sixty five. It's still not a bad return.

28:23

Kyle Larson three twenty. It's Kyle Larson three twenty.

28:25

I mean on Kyle Larson three twenty.

28:27

Yeah, I know it's if I if I didn't think

28:29

Truex and Hamlin were so much

28:32

better than everybody else here, then I'd love

28:34

to jump all over Kyle Larson.

28:35

Ready for the last four for Kyle Larson here fifth,

28:38

ninth, second, fifth, Yah.

28:40

But how did he do in comparison to Truex

28:43

and Hamlin in those races? See

28:45

that's my point. It's got he's got to beat those two

28:47

guys. I got to mention Martin Trix

28:49

Junior is the hottest guy in the sport right now.

28:51

That's and that's that's what I started with, was here's

28:53

the hottest guy in the sport.

28:54

You're giving that number? Not terrible

28:57

group?

28:57

B Ross Jastan is your favorite with William

28:59

by at both two fifty, Christopher Bell to

29:01

eighty five, and Chase Elliott three oh five.

29:04

If I'm going to take a chase.

29:05

Bet, this is

29:07

my chase bet.

29:08

If I think that.

29:09

Chase Elliott is going to start winning races,

29:11

is going to start performing, I

29:14

like this here because Ross Chastain, William

29:17

Byron two fifties. We

29:19

know what Chastain was doing last year before

29:21

the Hasselhoff happened. William Byron,

29:23

like I said a minute ago, was one of the hottest.

29:26

Still kind of still kind of there, Seabell,

29:29

But there's something to me. And I've told

29:31

you, I think I told you what I say two weeks ago something like

29:34

that, I'm going to keep betting Chase elli because he's

29:36

going to win before the before the playoffs happen.

29:38

I like a three oh five.

29:39

You know this group here, I'm all over

29:41

the board on this group. Obviously I've said

29:44

I'm not feeling Chase Elliot, Christopher Bell. I see

29:46

him leading laps early, and I see the team making

29:48

a mistake, which one

29:50

good thing about Pocono is Pocono is

29:52

the kind of racetrack that you can make

29:54

a small mistake on Pitt Road and you can kind

29:56

of typically recover from it. William

30:00

Iron, you know, the guy's

30:02

been one of the top guys all your long chest name

30:04

we know runs well here. I can make a case for

30:06

it against everybody here. So this is my group where

30:08

I'm just throwing up the big X.

30:09

See.

30:10

But to me, this is the group that that I've got

30:12

enticed and here's a great look. I

30:14

don't feel Chase Elliott for the win. I

30:16

don't feel Chase Elliott for you know, the

30:18

top three at three fifty, but he's

30:20

a three fifty top three or a three oh five to beat

30:22

this.

30:23

I don't think any of those guys win this race. So

30:26

and that's fair. I don't disagree with you. So

30:28

I like the three oh five on Chase Elliott, but I also like

30:31

a little bit.

30:31

The guy who has had the most wins all season,

30:33

I lead the points, is in this in a group.

30:35

B, I just let's

30:38

stick with my gun there group

30:40

see.

30:40

We start off with Tyler Redick Att two thirty five, a

30:42

big favorite, Harvick and Blainey two seventy,

30:44

and Logano three twenty.

30:47

I this was scratched by head Jeff. I had to look at

30:49

this.

30:50

Logano last ten races,

30:54

four top tens, no tough

30:56

fives. Yeah, he Pocono has

30:58

not really been his and the two that

31:00

are top tens seventh and tenth. Yeah,

31:02

you know, like, okay, he made it.

31:04

Yeah, I don't know that this track has not

31:07

been one of his better tracks, which I'm sure why

31:09

he's a plus three twenty in a group cee Harvick.

31:12

I mean he's been good here for best

31:14

point getter in the last ten races, by the way.

31:16

And Blaney is a guy who's one here, who's been

31:18

in contention here a number of times. You

31:21

know, it's funny. Reddick's the favorite here. He finished second

31:23

last year. They haven't

31:25

been as good this year as I thought they were gonna be.

31:27

Is this But I just talked about the style of tracks that

31:29

Fords have been good on, the style of tracks that Fords haven't been

31:31

good on.

31:32

Harvick, What have you done for me lately?

31:34

Twenty seventh here last year before that eighth

31:37

or fourth, eight, second, first? But

31:39

what have you done for me lately? This is not a blue

31:41

Oval track. This is not the I named

31:43

the tracks that were blue Oval style lately, right, those flat

31:46

Phoenixes New Hampshire's that deal.

31:49

This is not them. So having Logano

31:51

is as a daw as a

31:53

big dog.

31:54

I see it.

31:55

I can see the stats. I agree Blaney

31:57

and Harvick tied. I see that, which leads me

31:59

a Toyota and a guy that's been fast.

32:02

I think that by this to me, by process of elimination,

32:05

to me, the way the Blue Ovals run

32:07

versus the versus the Toyotas, what we know

32:09

Reddick can do at a place like this makes

32:11

me lean very heavily to Reddick. And at two thirty

32:13

five that's not terrible.

32:15

No, I don't disagree, and that's kind of I guess I kind of lean

32:17

a little bit of your way too. I mean, I see Reddick

32:19

here's probably he should be the favorite in this group.

32:22

Well plus three twenty on Joey Logano, it's like,

32:24

how do you not take Joey Logano in a group?

32:26

See at three twenty. But there's rationale

32:28

for not doing it, Big rationale.

32:30

I mean, I'm looking down here, big rational eleventh

32:32

best point geter, last ten races.

32:34

Big rationale. All right, let's go on to.

32:36

Group D, and we got the guy I talked about on the

32:38

top three side, Alex Bowman. Is your co favorite

32:41

Daniel Swaarz at two fifty fives, Ty Gibbs

32:43

two ninety, Austin Dillon two ninety,

32:46

Chevy, Chevy, Chevy, Toyota.

32:48

You gonna use your same theory again.

32:49

No, this is too evenly matched, because you got

32:51

Toyota's and Chevy's but if if I

32:54

pick who's the best team, it

32:56

goes right to the favorite of Dox Bowman. But

32:58

Daniel Swarez has been running really well lately.

33:00

Yeah, you know, Suarez I think has had a couple of good

33:02

runs at this racetrack. In fact, I think he ran really

33:04

well here last year.

33:05

He's four top tens, two top fives,

33:07

last ten starts, you know. And Tie has been fast

33:11

lately. He's cooled off. He's cooled

33:13

off just a hair lately.

33:14

And it's a track he doesn't have a lot of

33:17

He's got a little experience, a little bit, not a

33:19

lot.

33:19

And this place, Look, this place is intimidating a young

33:21

kid like that, you know, that could go both

33:23

ways.

33:24

He could, He could, he could.

33:25

Sometimes those young kids are too young and dumb

33:28

to realize they should be scared too.

33:30

That's what I'm saying. He could just blow right.

33:32

By it, or he could go Holy cow,

33:34

this is intimidating. So to me, this

33:36

is the one that I struggle with the most. If I'm going to pick the best

33:38

team there, it's Alex Bowman. You

33:40

know, Dylan has got decent stats there, But

33:43

this one, to me is my man, It's

33:45

it's tough for me. All right, guys, when we come back

33:47

and finish the groups, the props and give you our

33:49

picks.

34:11

This is Gone Racing, FISA's

34:13

premier NASCAR Betty Podcast. You're

34:15

your hosts former NASCAR driver Brendan

34:17

Gohn and Las Vegas Motor Speedways

34:20

Jeff Mottley.

34:22

White flag is in the air.

34:23

One more segment to go, mister Motley,

34:25

and we are still breaking down the high point dot

34:27

Com four hundred at Pocono and

34:29

we got two groups left. We just wrapped up Group

34:31

D. Group E kicks off with a

34:34

three way tie. This is kind of the boring group if you

34:36

want on the odds at least. Eric Jones,

34:38

Justin Haley, Eric Allen Roller two seventies, Ricky

34:40

Stenhouse Junior two seventy five. Next

34:43

group, Well, I mean, look there's

34:46

money and everything, right Yeah, to me, Justin Haley,

34:48

that colleague team's probably the best team.

34:51

What do we get some news breaking on? Yeah,

34:53

But I don't think that's going to affect anything right now.

34:55

I'm really I don't honestly,

34:58

And you have Justin Haley just now said he's going to go next

35:01

year. He's going to go drive for rick whaere colleague

35:04

isn't in the big Reindeer games, right,

35:06

They're not in the big Chevy meetings.

35:08

So I don't think that this is really gonna So

35:10

let's see.

35:11

We got a driver who's switching manufacturers,

35:13

a driver switching teams, a driver

35:16

who may be retiring in Ricky Stenhouse

35:18

Junior.

35:19

Look well that process. Let's take stand

35:21

out stable situation.

35:24

He's run the best this year. I mean, you know, Stenhouse

35:27

does a good run.

35:28

Last week he finished eleventh, which was pretty good for they.

35:31

That Legacy Motorclub, which is falling off face

35:33

the earth, had at least a decent blip on the

35:35

radar. So but this is this is one

35:37

that I think is to me, another one of those

35:39

that's a little difficult too.

35:42

Yeah, I guess I got two groups.

35:44

I'm throwing up the X on this week, and that's the other.

35:46

This is the other one.

35:46

Now our favorite group though, group f Ryan

35:49

pret is your favorite to sixty five Michael McDowell.

35:51

How is he not the favorite in group F at

35:54

to sixty five? Chase Brisco two eighty,

35:56

Austin cindric at two ninety.

35:58

We're filing a protest here.

36:00

Who is not in a group this week. Chris Bosher's not Mcarling

36:03

a protest although he didn't mint us any money last week.

36:05

Chris and Brad Keselowski not in a group this week, which bumps

36:07

me out. Those are two guys been cashing those tickets.

36:09

This was a we are sticking it

36:11

to Wyatt Tom check. That's right, but

36:14

you want to not going to let Kez. In fact, I'm surprised

36:16

they put a top three on Kazlowski just to just to

36:18

screw get they

36:20

wanted.

36:20

They knew we won with Kazlowski last

36:22

week, so they like that.

36:23

So he couldn't do it again this week and couldn't double

36:25

down.

36:26

But how about this, though, you want to talk about Group

36:29

F normally has like Aspire Motorsports

36:31

and a front row. Right, you've got

36:33

a playoff driver and Michael McDowell, Stuart

36:35

Hass racing with Ryan Priest and Chase Briscoe

36:38

and Penske racing with Austin Sindrick. You

36:41

want to talk about wow if if

36:43

that's kind of embarrassing on a few of

36:45

these teams, and the worst is I

36:48

like Michael McDowell the best.

36:49

I do too.

36:50

In fact, Michael McDowell and me should be the favorite there.

36:52

He Look, we've talked about having

36:55

confidence and having momentum. Michael

36:57

McDowell's team definitely has confidence and they

36:59

got some momentum going.

37:00

I like them there.

37:01

I can take the same theory throughout earlier. There's three Fords

37:03

in a in a Chevy, and I

37:05

take Priests and the Chevy because I think the

37:07

Chevy's run better. But McDowell, you're talking

37:09

about a playoff driver who

37:12

has a Cruchie right now that has bigger,

37:15

bigger guts than anybody in the sport

37:18

at two sixty five.

37:20

I like McDowell here, and I'm with you.

37:22

I just I think that's a that's one

37:24

heck of a shot right there.

37:25

On a group fu Isaiah said that all

37:28

these guys are Fords.

37:29

In this group, Ryan Preese is in a Chevrolet

37:31

Fords. That's right, all

37:33

four four, all four fours. I forgot Priest is not at

37:35

JTG. Sorry, thank you Isaiah for correcting

37:37

that. So all four fours. That even makes my point

37:39

even more for mcdoell that

37:41

that takes my my my little point

37:44

there and I and why I'm sure Isaiah

37:46

is down there right now. Don't break your arm, Isaiah,

37:49

I make plenty of mistakes.

37:50

Bit he is waving that black flag. That

37:53

was a black flag.

37:54

I was thinking JTG with Price right there and says the story

37:56

and even said he was Stewart Hawsson.

37:57

Then I called a Chevy impressive,

38:00

right, we.

38:00

Are professionally and professional, Yes, we are just kind

38:02

of live up to our name.

38:03

We need Can we file for a trademark on

38:05

that? We should? We should? I want residuals.

38:09

Let's get through our prop belting like the Screen Actors

38:11

Guild believes they're getting.

38:13

Right now, Chevrolet

38:15

is your favorite, of course at one twenty, Toyota is plus one

38:17

forty, and Ford's, for obvious reasons, plus

38:19

three hundred. I still don't entice me to

38:21

go to on Ford. I can't name a Ford that I think would

38:23

win this race.

38:24

No, but you're gonna tell me that you've

38:26

got Denny Hamlin and Martin Tricks

38:28

Junior in the fold and your manufacturers not.

38:32

I'm with you. I think that. I think that.

38:34

But that's a sheer numbers game right there. Well, see

38:36

this is my thoughts. Fourteen Chevies and six Fords.

38:38

I don't know if I should pick TRUEX

38:41

or pick Danny Hamlin to win or

38:44

to fit win their group.

38:46

But I know I get both of them if I think. Right

38:48

here, I'm just saying I like it.

38:50

I don't disagree with the Toyota and

38:52

and that's a.

38:54

Decent shot right there. Fords

38:57

though, man, No

38:59

Ford, No, I just I'm going I like Toyota

39:01

here plus three.

39:02

Hundred, and it's not even enticing

39:05

esus, We're not even going, you know, I

39:07

think.

39:07

I want to go for a Ford.

39:09

Let's take a quick peek at our championship odds,

39:12

and there has been a massive mover. If

39:15

you didn't get in early on Martin, sorry

39:18

you ain't getting in on him now. In fact, I think

39:20

I might still bet him at the plus five hundred

39:22

right now. The way he's going, well he's running, but

39:24

there I still look where Chase Elliott has

39:26

finally gone. Jeff last week at ten to one,

39:29

I said he wouldn't probably drop any further fourteen

39:33

to one.

39:33

Chase Elliott and I don't see

39:35

much movement here until we have a road

39:37

course or two, I think, because I don't

39:39

think he's going to win until we get to potentially a road course.

39:43

I mean, if he goes into Daytona and he doesn't have a

39:45

win. I think you're going to see that number will be about

39:47

thirty to one. Because keep in mind, even

39:49

if he were to get a win and get in the playoffs,

39:51

he has almost no playoff points.

39:53

I know, but still there's big numbers, man.

39:55

I mean fourteen to one for not

39:57

the raining but a recently

39:59

remove Cup champion Tyler Reddick twenty

40:01

five to one, and I.

40:02

See a former champion at twenty five to one. Exactly,

40:04

we're champion at twenty eight to one.

40:07

Yeah, those they're they're running about

40:09

that round. I mean Alex Bowman at

40:11

fifty to one. This is a guy that you know, turns

40:13

it on at the right time and he's right there. There's

40:15

some big numbers in the futures here. Remember, futures

40:17

are are a great way to hedge. Some bets play

40:20

them while they're hot, and there's some guys that you can get

40:22

at good numbers. All right, let's talk about my favorite

40:24

part of the show, which is how well we did last week?

40:26

And you know, of course we would

40:29

you know, goes without saying who was the best last week?

40:31

Again? The pit crew won

40:33

the weekly I know, but I'm still in the head.

40:35

I still did pick a race winner. We haven't had that happen very

40:37

often.

40:37

They picked a race winner and they massive, massive

40:40

come back to Jeff Motley.

40:41

Remember Jeff was bragging a couple weeks ago.

40:43

It's quiet about you know, they're point twoing

40:45

me to death, you know, And I said, well, yeah, Jeff, you were just slowly

40:47

moving back to him, and.

40:48

They didn't point ten me this.

40:49

We're in in the same turn right now.

40:52

I'm just saying, you guys are playing the same game. Now.

40:54

It's pick a ball in tennis. Now you're both playing the same game.

40:56

So you're still not playing, you know, run,

40:59

We're still.

41:00

Running into a wall right now, trying to punch you fifth.

41:02

Oh eight points. That's ridiculous.

41:04

I told you almost sixty. But a great week for the pick

41:06

crew eleven points. I end up with three four. We

41:08

got two winners. Motley got one winner, so

41:10

he just got his, you know, barely lost

41:12

any ground.

41:13

And we all janks Christopher Busher last week.

41:15

And we did too. That kind of bummed me out. But we did

41:17

all have some good wins in there. Uh, you

41:19

know, great picks on some of these, So we're doing better

41:21

this season. And with that though, we still go worse

41:23

to first. So we kick off, of course with our buddy the

41:26

pit crew, Wyatt, Tomshack.

41:27

Wyatt, please go ahead.

41:28

All right, We're gonna go with Kyle Larson over Danny Hamlin

41:30

at plus one twenty. I'm like a bird

41:32

just flying into a nice clean window here

41:35

with this bet god Chase Elliot plus three

41:37

or five. That's just so enticing. A win Group B Kevin

41:39

Arvick to win Group C plus two seventy. Eric

41:41

Jones, who's had some really good run he ran

41:43

well here at Pocono last year. Three of the last

41:45

four races he's finished top fifteen. We got in a

41:48

win Group E at plus two seventy and

41:50

probably now my third favorite driver on Gone Racing.

41:52

Michael McDowell to win Group F at plus two

41:55

sixty five.

41:56

Well, I like the stat they threw out about Eric Jones.

41:58

Nicely done, very good. I

42:01

agree, mister Motley.

42:03

Okay, I'm gonna go a couple of head to heads.

42:05

Both don't lines on Kyle Busch

42:07

here. I'm going Byron at plus one twenty over Kyle

42:10

Busch and Kyle Larson at plus one

42:12

ten over Kyle Busch. I'm only

42:14

going into two groups this week. I'm gonna go

42:16

into Group D and I'm gonna take Daniel

42:19

Suarez and I'm going with the pit crew

42:21

in Group F on Michael McDowell.

42:23

So if you pick him, that'll be the our jinks for the week.

42:26

And then I'm taking Toyota to win as

42:28

the manufacturer.

42:29

I love that one forty number on Toyota.

42:32

See now you're gonna make me have to probably change a pick

42:34

here at the last second.

42:34

I'm going through my sheets here, all

42:37

right, So I'm gonna kick off first. I'm going

42:39

top three.

42:40

I'm that plus nine hundred on Alex Bowman

42:42

is just screaming. You know, if you

42:44

remember you gotta pick the time you can't

42:47

sit, it's going to happen. See,

42:49

you gotta stay stay ahead of the curve. And Alex

42:52

Bowman, I like that plus nine hundred number on him.

42:54

I am getting one head to head.

42:55

I'm taking William Byron at the plus

42:58

one twenty over Kyle Busch. A lot

43:00

of us are doing don'ts on Kyle Busch this weekend, which

43:02

guarantees that Kyle Busch is going to win

43:04

this race and lead the most laps and dominate

43:06

the field so that he can call

43:09

us next week and tell us all three of us to

43:11

take a long walk off a short pier. I

43:13

am told you, I'm betting Chase Elliott until

43:15

something happens for the playoffs, and I'm taking Chase Elliott

43:18

and Group B also. I just he's going

43:20

to get a win period. He is going to uh

43:23

And then what else did I have?

43:26

Chase La Group B.

43:27

I got one pick, No, I got two picks. I got Group C,

43:29

Tyler Redick. I

43:33

talked about the theory behind it. Right, three Fords and

43:35

the Toyota Tyler Redick two thirty five. I'm

43:37

going there and then I'm going to jump off the bandwagon

43:40

because I don't want to give the Michael McDowell jinks and

43:42

I want to be a little contrarian to everybody. I

43:45

had Michael McDowell Group F. I'm scratching

43:47

that out. I am going Toyota plus

43:49

one forty win the race.

Like that pick. I know, I'm just I couldn't.

43:56

I don't want to jinks. Michel McDowell.

43:57

I appreciate you not picking Michael McDowell because

43:59

I think maybe the pick crew and I have a chance

44:01

now that we didn't all three pick the same guys.

44:03

That's why I said I want to give the Gone Racing

44:06

jinks herees.

44:06

I think we've only had like one pick this

44:08

year that we've all three gotten right

44:10

without jinkings.

44:12

Well, let's not forget. We thought McDowell won his

44:14

grouping and yeah, we.

44:15

All were pass fourth and group f

44:17

and he still lost group finish and

44:19

fourth loses.

44:20

All right, Molly, Well, we got another professional,

44:23

unprofessional week of Gone racing.

44:24

Great job, and convene

44:27

next week and talking about both.

44:28

Ricky Triangle this week and where are we going next week?

44:30

I've even heavily forgotten where we're going next week

44:32

already. Oh yeah, Richmond short track.

44:34

Short track, Richmond next week, so one of your favorite racetracks.

44:38

Bill with Water. All right, guys, thank you so much

44:40

for joining us. We'll see you next week when we

44:42

break down all the things we did right and wrong
