This is Gone Racing, Vson's

0:04

premier NASCAR betting podcast. Here

0:06

are your hosts, former NASCAR driver Brendan

0:08

Gone, and Las Vegas Motor Speedways.

0:10

Jeff Montley.

0:12

Well, I'm sitting here in the beautiful Vson studios

0:15

here at the South Point Hotel Casino, but my

0:17

partner in crime, Brendan Gone, is

0:19

in parts unknown.

0:20

Brendan, where are you?

0:23

We're back in the space coast man. The

0:25

boys are at NASA Space camp this week.

0:28

So because there we're sitting in the

0:30

beach in Florida. Man, I can't. I got the little beach

0:32

picture behind me.

0:32

Come on.

0:33

I always do my best to try to give you, you

0:34

know, something better than the background you give

0:37

us in the media center.

0:37

Yeah, well you're looking very summary. There was

0:39

that a peach colored shirt you're wearing there?

0:42

Or what a peach or pink or

0:45

pink? Well, and I'm glad he's at NASA, not

0:48

at some Elon musk area trying to learn

0:50

how to do space flight, because

0:52

Elon's been struggling with his space flight.

0:54

So listen,

0:56

the kids are there. They can learn what they want from SpaceX,

0:59

NASA and whatever. But it's really

1:01

cool to be here, excited to be here, and got

1:03

here in time to watch an amazing

1:05

race that happened last Sunday, which

1:08

all three of us, you, Me

1:10

and Wyatt, we all said, there's no chance

1:12

in hell this race is happening on Sunday. There

1:14

are going to be their Monday. And once again that

1:17

is why you and I don't make those decisions.

1:19

Well, they did an amazing job just getting the race in

1:21

and I think when you look at all the notes that have

1:23

come out after the race, highest

1:26

rated race ever in NBC

1:28

sports history, the engagement

1:31

on social media, the highs for any event

1:33

other than a Daytona five hundred that NASCAR

1:36

has ever been able to track, I think this is just incredible.

1:38

The entire weekend they had, it was unfortunate they had to

1:40

cancel some of the concerts, didn't get to finish the Exfinity

1:43

race, didn't get to run the Cup race till its

1:45

full hundred laps. But when it was all

1:47

said and done, probably one of

1:49

the one of the biggest upsets

1:52

in NASCAR history, I think on

1:54

paper, Shane Van Giesberg and getting the

1:56

win, coming over from New Zealand and driving

1:58

that third car that Project ninety one car

2:00

for track house Racing, just just amazing

2:03

for him.

2:05

Hey, who picked him last week?

2:08

Well, somebody picked him for a top three. But okay,

2:11

you're gonna pull a muscle in your shoulder

2:13

padding your back there.

2:14

Look, look, we're gonna reset the playoff

2:16

standings if he keeps gloating last week.

2:18

I was like, hey, you know what you deserved it now now it's.

2:20

Getting a little little too excessive here. You're

2:22

hurting our feelings.

2:23

Now, Hey,

2:25

listen, you guys, Jeff, you talked

2:28

hold on. I mean I say, I knew exactly who

2:30

he was before we ever started the show. I mean I did

2:32

all the homework and research. But

2:36

Jeff, as soon as you mentioned be

2:38

a supercar to me, what did I say?

2:39

You said old?

2:40

Now maybe you knew he was going to be in a trackhouse

2:43

car and then you said old V eight

2:45

supercar champion from down Under.

2:47

This guy's got a chance.

2:48

I mean, we saw how good Marcus Ambrose was when

2:50

he came over here. This guy has broken

2:52

a bunch of Marcus Ambers's records over there

2:54

in New Zealand and Australia. Just

2:57

an amazing, amazing driver. And I was very fortunate

2:59

the week before to moderate his press conference.

3:01

When he got named to be the driver of that car,

3:04

the first thing I had to do is go up to him and say, okay, before we

3:06

start the press conference, tell me how to pronounce your name,

3:08

so I don't screw this thing up here.

3:11

But you could just tell he had a great confidence

3:13

coming into the race. And then you looked

3:15

at him out there and he was incredible in practice and qualifying.

3:18

And you know, Kyle Larson, I think made the great

3:21

comment after the race was over. He goes he came over here

3:23

and made fools of the rest of us because nobody

3:25

was getting off those corners and getting through those

3:27

turns.

3:28

Any better than he was. I mean, he was amazing

3:30

behind the wheel.

3:33

Well and honestly, Jeff, if you look at

3:35

we do this show on Thursdays, right, we always talk

3:37

about wait till you watch things. Wait so you see

3:39

practice, wait t you see qualifying.

3:42

This would have been one that after practice and after

3:44

you would have been going, oh hey, look at this guy.

3:46

You and I have to take these shots early in the

3:48

week before we get the advantage of all that. This

3:51

guy from the time they unloaded showed

3:53

why the Australian via supercar guys

3:56

are so good at what they do. You

3:58

and I talked off air. You know, he's driving

4:00

on the different side of the car than he's used to. He's

4:02

shifting with a different hand that he's used to. His

4:04

footwork is backwards of what he's used to. Absolutely

4:08

amazing job by this young man. Super

4:10

proud of him, super excited and of

4:12

course typical NASCAR fans everybody

4:15

now, oh, he should come to America and get a job,

4:17

you know, just like when Trevor Bain won the Daytota five hundred,

4:19

they said he should switch right away to those points.

4:22

They settled down everybody. He did a phenomenal

4:24

job though, super proud of him, justin

4:26

Marx Pitbull. But they have done

4:29

with Trackhouse Racing, absolutely

4:31

phenomenal in this program. You

4:34

got to give all the credits to them.

4:35

Man, No, you're right.

4:36

Just taking a look at the numbers, I mean, he was an amazing

4:38

fifty five to one to win that race,

4:41

eleven to one when we did the show

4:43

last week for a top three, Chevy

4:45

was a minus one twenty. The key to

4:47

that is, like I said, he was eleven to

4:49

one when we did the show last Thursday, But

4:52

after qualifying and practice was done

4:54

on Saturday, his numbers for a top three

4:56

dropped all the way. To think about a plus two to twenty

4:59

or plus two to twenty five, I've wired it was somethwhere

5:01

around there wasn't would you get him for a top

5:03

three?

5:03

I think round plus two twenty five.

5:05

Yeah, So there's an example of just once people saw

5:07

him on the track and what he was capable of doing,

5:10

kind of realized what he was able to.

5:12

Sixth driver not born

5:14

in the United States to win a Cup Series race,

5:16

the first one actually just since last year Daniel

5:19

Sware is interesting. The last two foreign

5:21

born drivers Shane BEng Giesbergen and Daniel

5:23

Suarez, both driving for track House Racing,

5:26

and the first guy in sixty

5:28

years since Johnny Rutherford, to

5:30

win his first ever Cup

5:32

Series race in his Cup Series debut. Just

5:35

just some remarkable numbers for him.

5:38

Well, what I think is really really kind of cool in

5:40

this, Jeff is one you

5:43

said, you know, only the sixth non American

5:45

to win this race, and of course we

5:48

Beason and Gone Racing would be remiss if we didn't

5:50

mention the Earl Moss Earl Ross

5:52

nugget.

5:53

He was the second leader. He was the second one. He

5:55

was the second one from Canada. Right Earl

5:57

Ross, he's

5:59

on that line.

6:00

But to me, only the six guy

6:02

would win his debut and hold on first

6:04

one in sixty years. But remember the first

6:07

one is the guy that won the first ever NASCAR race.

6:09

That really doesn't count, right, we don't

6:11

count.

6:13

Johnny Manz, Johnny Manson Darlington, you know, we don't

6:15

count Johnny Man's.

6:18

Yeah. So to me, I look

6:20

at this and say, what he accomplished

6:22

the first time in honestly a modern

6:24

era of our sport. Absolutely phenomenal

6:26

job. And that's why I give it one to his

6:29

ability in a race car. You watched how he drove that

6:31

car down the stretch. You saw the things

6:33

he was doing to the other guys. He went

6:35

from fourteenth to lead without

6:37

pits, strategy, without all the stuff. You know,

6:40

this is a different NASCAR show. We're not going to get into

6:42

why the strategy, shortening the race, all

6:44

the things we felt kind of kind

6:46

of hurts some guys that should have been better. But

6:49

I'm looking at this as man. Look

6:52

he was able to do how he outdrove him,

6:54

And give credit to Justin Marx Darien

6:56

Grubb and that track House race team. This

6:58

is a part time team. We talked about how

7:00

part time teams have a

7:03

absolutely not in this case phenomenal

7:05

job all in all by that Trackouse

7:07

group. Give them kudos they deserve.

7:09

Yeah, and let's not forget. Let's take a look at the rest

7:11

of the top ten. Let's not forget the guy came in second,

7:13

drove his heart out. Justin Hailey, proved

7:16

himself on a road course, didn't an amazing job. Came

7:19

in at a twenty eight to one for a top three.

7:21

And then Chase Elliott, he was kind of a little bit of

7:23

the beneficiary the race getting shortened. Came

7:26

in with third with a plus one forty. You

7:28

look down the rest of the top ten. Kyle Larson Kyle

7:30

Busch rallied from being up under a

7:32

tire barrier early in the race. It was a pretty

7:34

remarkable crash where he literally had

7:37

the tire barrier sitting on half of his car. They

7:39

were able to pull him out, get him going. Austin Cindric.

7:41

We talked about him as a good street racer. Placing

7:44

six. Michael McDowell, I don't think that's a big surprise

7:46

coming in seventh there, Joey Logano, Ty

7:48

Gibbs a good run, and Chris Buscher. We got

7:51

to turn left and right. Chris Busher

7:53

just keeps knocking off those top tens.

7:57

Look, we talked about Busher on the show

7:59

and we talked about it if you can find them for a top ten somewhere.

8:02

Busher just does it again. Man, he's

8:04

he's really done well on these road courses

8:06

as of late. So great job by Chris

8:08

getting that top ten. And you talked about

8:10

it briefly. Strategy change mid race

8:12

when NASCAR changed their mind and went from one

8:14

hundred to seventy five lap had

8:17

to do it. But definitely some guys that are

8:19

on this top ten, Christopher Bell, you know,

8:21

in particular, guys that should have been more

8:23

upfront but were not because of that whole

8:26

strategy line change in the middle.

8:28

Of the race. Yeah, and that's kind of what happened both both

8:30

Christopher Bell and Tyler Reddick. I mean, they were the

8:32

guys running up front and they pitted

8:34

kind of thinking, Okay, we made our last pit stop.

8:37

All these guys in front of us have to pit and it's

8:39

a seventy five lap race. I guess what those

8:41

guys in front of us don't have to pit now, so kind of

8:43

threw things off a little bit for those guys. But then

8:45

Bell and Reddick both ended up having their problems

8:47

throughout the race. Well, Brendan, I know we've kind

8:49

of gone back and forth. Are we going to count? Does this

8:52

win count? I know you still think we could get to seventeen

8:54

winners, and yes, this is a twelve different

8:56

winner, but it does not count toward

8:58

the playoffs because and Giesbergan's

9:00

not running all the races, so we're

9:02

still sitting at eleven.

9:03

But I'll tell you what did happen?

9:05

The great run by Ty Gibbs finishing

9:08

ninth move Ty Gibbs up into the

9:10

sixteenth spot ahead of Daniel

9:12

Suarez by six points right now. And don't

9:14

look now, but Michael McDowell is only ten points

9:16

out of the playoffs as well, So it's getting interesting.

9:21

Well, first of all, I

9:23

still count if we get the seventeen winners. I'm still

9:26

going to say it counts, even

9:28

though you're squashing my hopes and dreams

9:30

there. But that cutoff line, we've been talking about

9:32

it for weeks. Justin Haley, what a crusher

9:34

for him, he is nowhere near the cutoff line.

9:36

Had he won that race, that would have put him

9:39

right up into this whole talk. Absolutely

9:41

amazing run for him. Austin Dyllan took

9:43

a huge blow trying to go for the win, doesn't

9:46

get here and it hurt him towards that cutoff line

9:48

he lost more space. But man,

9:51

I really do do look at this cutoff line,

9:53

Jeff, and it is going to be an absolute battle

9:55

Royale when it comes down to the last race

9:58

of the season.

9:58

And another big loser this week. Guy that was sixteenth.

10:01

Last week, Alex Bowman

10:03

finished dead last. He

10:05

is now twenty six points out of the last

10:07

playoff spot.

10:08

He's he's desperate right now, Yeah.

10:13

Alex, you know

10:15

he's got Look, there's a lot of races coming up for Alex

10:17

and some of these guys Chase Elliott is still included that

10:19

we think they can win on. But it definitely

10:22

is right now, you only got two Hendrick cars

10:24

and we still think the Hendrick group is the best group

10:26

in the field, but they only got two of their four

10:28

and you know Fleet in the in

10:30

the in the championships, so I mean it's going to be close.

10:33

Yeah, And you kind of talk about the upcoming races. This

10:35

weekend, we're going to be making our first trip,

10:37

our first it's our first track that we're making

10:39

our second trip of the year. Two, we're gonna be heading off down

10:41

to Atlanta for the Quaker State four hundred.

10:44

Then we're gonna head up the loud New Hampshire for the Crayon

10:46

not to be confused with Crayola three to oh one.

10:49

And we've got Pocono coming up, followed

10:51

by Richmond and then our only

10:53

stop of the year in Brooklyn, Michigan

10:56

to get August started. And you

10:58

look at those five races on the board, and once those

11:00

are Overprindon, there's only gonna be three left,

11:02

and that's two road courses in Daytona before

11:05

we get to the playoffs. So unless you're gonna

11:07

roll the dice with playoffs or with

11:08

h with road courses or Daytona, you've

11:11

had to get something done at some of these tracks.

11:14

Yeah, you know, I mean, we've

11:17

talked. You better get back off the Snyder pretty

11:19

quick otherwise he is going to have a problem.

11:22

And and but it once again the schedule

11:25

schedule. We go from

11:29

going.

11:32

Yeah, well absolutely, I think you look at it right now.

11:34

It's going to definitely be a pretty uh pretty

11:36

interesting see what happens over the rest of the summer. Okay,

11:38

we'll be back on God and Racing and we'll start talking

11:41

about the odds.

12:04

This is Gone Racing, Feason's

12:06

premier NASCAR betting podcast. Here

12:09

are your hosts, former NASCAR driver Brendan

12:11

Gone and Las Vegas Motor Speedways

12:13

Jeff Motley.

12:14

Well, we're back.

12:15

Here on Gone Racing and we are moving on

12:17

from the Windy City to Hot

12:19

Atlanta.

12:20

Heading back to Atlanta second time this year.

12:23

Brendan's remote this week, so he's checking

12:25

in on Skype.

12:26

Or Zoom or one of those various

12:29

platforms.

12:30

Brendan, this is now going to be the fourth

12:32

race that we've had Atlanta since the entire track

12:34

was completely revamped. It's still the one

12:36

point five miles, but with the banking it's

12:38

been added now it really kind of races

12:41

like Daytona and Talladega. So I think

12:43

maybe the novelty of this type racing

12:45

at Atlanta has worn off, but it still

12:47

makes for a pretty exciting race down there and kind of

12:49

makes it a wide open shootout for anybody.

12:53

The novelty may have worn off. Let me tell you this,

12:55

I'm still glad I'm not racing in Atlanta.

12:58

Uh Man, that place is it's

13:00

mean looking, Jeff, the

13:02

way you race that thing now, that super style

13:05

and the tight corners of Atlanta. I am glad.

13:07

I'm on my couch watching.

13:09

Well, you know.

13:09

And we've got a lot of stats on who's done what at

13:11

Atlanta, I mean, and Kevin Harvick's got thirty

13:13

three stars, Kyle Busch got twenty seven, Kevin's

13:16

won there four times. But I don't know if we really

13:18

just kind of throw those stats out the window and we

13:20

really look at the three races that have

13:22

been held there since the track's been revamped. Last

13:24

year, Chase Elliott won this particular

13:26

race. Joey Logano got his only win

13:29

this season so far earlier in the year. One

13:31

thing is going to be a little bit different about this. They're going to run

13:33

it at night, kind of trying to compensate

13:36

for the summer heat.

13:37

Down there in Georgia.

13:38

So that's really the only difference that we're going

13:40

to see from what we've seen over the last three races

13:42

down there, is running it at night. We also

13:44

know it was frigid cold

13:46

when they ran there earlier this year. At the end of

13:49

March, it's probably going to be a very very

13:51

warm, humid Georgia day

13:53

down there, So you think that's going to have any effect

13:55

going tonight And just the difference in the heat from

13:57

the cold. I mean it was really brutally cold in

14:00

low twenties down there when they raced earlier

14:02

this year.

14:03

Yeah, it will definitely make a difference. One the

14:06

main thing for me is the fans. The fans now

14:08

get a much better, much

14:11

better time, right, I mean there are sports about the fans.

14:14

Nobody wants to sit in the grand stands.

14:18

Well, that's definitely certainly part of the problem there

14:20

when we have the have the we

14:23

have a situation like that, and I think being able to get

14:25

a better time of year and a better

14:27

time of day, if you will, is certainly going to help.

14:29

All Right, It's time to get into the odds this week

14:31

to win. Kyle Busch

14:33

is coming in as the favorite here at

14:36

ten to one. Chase Elliott

14:38

is eleven to one, followed by Ryan Blaney

14:40

and Joey Logano at twelve to one. William

14:42

Byron, Denny Hamlin, Brad Keselowski

14:45

and Kyle Larson all at fourteen

14:47

to one. Pitt Crews excited seeing Brad Keselowski

14:50

in the first column on the first page. Ross

14:52

Chastain and Christopher bell Are at sixteen

14:54

to one, Martin Trix Junior and Christopher

14:57

Chris Busher coming in at twenty to

14:59

one, Bubba wa In, Austin Sindrick at

15:01

twenty two, Tyler Reddick at twenty

15:03

five, and Ty Gibbs at twenty eight.

15:07

Yeah, I'm not sure the Kyle Busch thing. I mean, you

15:10

know, he we talked about how Kyle normally

15:12

does not like super speedway racing, so kind

15:14

of a new favorite, but he

15:17

has done much better since he's gone over to RCR.

15:19

So I kind of dig that. Brad

15:22

Keselowski fourteen to one. I really

15:24

like that. We know what Brad does at these super

15:26

speedways. I do like that. And Chris Busher twenty

15:28

to one.

15:28

I like both of them well.

15:29

And I think one of the things that kind of stands out to me here

15:31

is everybody on the board is at double digits

15:34

and looking at I mean, Kyle Larson can

15:37

get him at fourteen to one, and William Byron at

15:39

fourteen to one.

15:39

I mean Byron.

15:40

I think Byron won won here last year

15:42

in the first race, so Byron's

15:45

got to win, Elliott's got to win, and Logano's

15:47

got to win. Elliott eleven to one, I think is

15:49

a little bit high, but I think just seeing William

15:51

Byron down there, Kyle Larson at fourteen to one, Chas

15:53

Stain has been really, really good

15:56

on this format. Okay,

15:58

sounds like we're going to be working on Brendan's audio here

16:00

for a little bit, so I'm gonna move on over

16:02

here to our second page. Some of

16:04

our longer shots. Ricky Stenhouse

16:07

Junior and Kevin Harvick are both coming in at

16:09

twenty eight to one. Eric Jones

16:11

and Eric Almarola, along with Alex Bowman

16:13

all at thirty to one, Daniel Suarez

16:16

and Corey la Joy at thirty five to one,

16:18

Michael McDowell, Austin Dillon, and aj

16:21

Allmendinger are forty to one. Justin

16:23

Haley and Chase Briscoe were at forty five

16:25

to one. Ryan Priest and Austin

16:27

Hill driving the Beard Motorsports car,

16:30

one of their few races this year. Brendan's old Ride

16:32

coming in at fifty five and Todd

16:34

Gillilan and Noah Gregson are coming

16:36

in at sixty to one. So we've got some long

16:39

shot guys there, and I think one guy we

16:41

really really have to take a look at. I mean, I

16:43

know he's never won in the Cup Series before, but

16:45

he has had some incredible runs here since we

16:47

redid.

16:48

Atlanta's Corey la Joy.

16:49

If you're looking for an upset, pick Corey la Joy

16:52

coming in there at thirty five to one. I

16:55

think that's a guy you got to look at. Brendan, what do you think about

16:57

Corey and some of these other guys on the long shot board?

17:00

Well, look, I like Corey a lot. I think he's there.

17:02

Ricky Stenhouse Junior. I remember he's

17:04

you know, won the Daytona five hundred this year. This is

17:07

super speedway. He likes those. Austin

17:09

Dylan is Dylan is one of those guys that's

17:11

won on super speedways. Justin Haley proved

17:14

himself on a speedway. So a lot of guys

17:16

that are really good here on super speedways. I

17:18

can't say I dis like a lot of guys in the second board,

17:20

but for top three is probably more so than

17:22

the wins.

17:23

Well, how about your car.

17:24

Yeah, I mean you're you're still kind of involved with the Beard

17:26

Motorsports car. How's Austin Hill going to do?

17:28

I mean fifty five to one? That is that about

17:30

right on him? I mean could he get in there? Because look,

17:32

Austin has proven himself as a very accomplished racer,

17:35

just hasn't really been had the opportunity to do it in the Cup

17:37

series very much.

17:38

No on that, and I think Austin Hill is absolutely fantastic

17:41

And once again I know what car that is. So I mean

17:43

we got a hell of a car going to Atlanta.

17:45

This got added to the race. This is his home

17:48

track, so he's gonna be pumped up. Those guys

17:50

also have I mean, this is what you always love to

17:52

say, the crap shoot word, right, I mean it husedd just be preserved

17:54

for Daytona and Talladega. Well the

17:56

crap shoot is here, and Austin Hill

17:59

has a great Chevrolet race car with a

18:01

great DCR power behind it. He could be something

18:03

to wreck with the ear.

18:04

Also, Brendon, you mentioned the fact that the

18:06

top threes might be the place to make some money. So

18:08

let's start taking a look at our top threes for this

18:10

week, Kyle Busch, no big

18:12

surprise comes in at the top of the board. It's going to follow

18:15

suit. But the numbers just obviously get much

18:17

smaller. Kyle Busch is plus two eighty

18:19

five, Chase Elliott a plus three hundred, Ryan

18:21

Blaney, Joey Logano at three point thirty, Byron

18:24

Hamlin, Kazlowski and Larson all at

18:26

four hundred, Chastain and Bell at

18:28

four point fifty, Truex Busher

18:30

at five point fifty, Bubba Wallace and

18:32

Cindric at six hundred, Reddick at seven hundred,

18:35

and Gibbs at eight hundred. And man, there's

18:37

a whole bunch of guys that you could make some money on.

18:39

The problem is only three guys can finish

18:41

in the top three, and I could make a case for pretty

18:43

much everybody on this list for a top three.

18:47

Yeah, let's talk about Bubba Wallace, what he

18:49

does on super speedways, right, I mean, Bubba's gout

18:51

normally runs really well on these type of places.

18:53

He's plus six hundred right there, So that's

18:55

decent. And even if you go to Chase Elliott Ryan Blaney

18:58

again on

19:00

a top three, that's a great return. And remember

19:02

this is a race, we might do all a bunch of that manufacturer

19:05

teammate style racing, so you can either

19:08

you know, fade or bet with your manufacturer

19:10

or your team guys, and you can find some

19:12

ways around the odds. And that's the case also.

19:15

Well, and and I guess I look at guys too, like

19:17

Denny Hamlin and Brad Kaslowski. I mean, those

19:19

are guys that look every time we

19:21

race on a track that I know we

19:24

like to use the term restrictor plate races

19:26

or whatever, but every time we race on

19:28

a track like this, you feel like Denny Hamlin, Brad

19:30

Keselowski, those guys are always going

19:32

to be in the mix. So I think those are certainly some guys

19:34

to look at. Now, if we move over to our page

19:37

two, when we see some of I guess

19:39

what you would say are longer shots, if you will.

19:41

Ricky Stenhouse Junior another guy who runs

19:44

really really well in these type tracks, along with Kevin Harvick

19:46

at plus eight hundred, Eric Jones,

19:48

al Marola and Bowman all at eight point

19:50

fifty, Suarez and Corey Lajoy

19:53

at ten to one, Michael McDowell, Austin

19:55

Dillon aj Almadinger eleven to one,

19:58

Justin Haley, Chase Brisco at twelve, Ryan

20:00

Priest, Austin Hill at fifteen, Todd

20:02

Gilliland and Noah Gregson at seventeen.

20:06

It's worth it to drop a couple bucks on these

20:08

top threes. Look at the returns. Ricky Stenhouse

20:11

eight hundred, Corey la

20:13

Joy ten to one, McDowell eleven

20:15

to one, Dylan eleven to one. These are

20:17

guys that are getting a great

20:19

return for a top three. And you get some of

20:21

these manufacturers lined up and they're going to need that

20:23

push from some of these guys. There's

20:26

great returns on them. So I

20:28

do like a lot of the top three guys here.

20:30

Well, and I'm completely with you there. I mean I

20:32

just look at I mean, I look

20:34

at those eleven to ones right there, and now forget Allmundinger

20:36

for a minute. Michael McDowell and Austin

20:38

Dillon. Hmm, let's see.

20:41

I believe they've got some wins on

20:43

these type racetracks. Now at Atlanta. Michael

20:45

McDowell's a former Daytona five hundred winner.

20:47

We know Austin Dillon he's got to win at

20:49

Daytona. And honestly, I

20:51

think Atlanta probably because it's narrow,

20:54

even though it's a mile shorter. I think probably

20:57

right now, it's probably most like Daytona

20:59

then track on the circuit, wouldn't you agree?

21:02

Yeah, because this still has handling characteristics.

21:04

Your race car has to work well here. The

21:06

tight corners, the much smaller area

21:09

means you're going to have to basically have handle

21:11

in that race car like the old Daytona

21:13

used to. So it's going to come down

21:15

to cars that also handle well

21:18

in this super speedway format. And you're

21:20

naming guys from big teams, right, I mean even

21:22

Daniel Suarez right there with Trackhouse

21:24

and dealing with RCR, and Dinger and

21:27

Haley with that colleague team, with the

21:29

help from RCR. These are organizations

21:31

that are going to really get the handle right

21:34

on these cars as well well.

21:35

And I think one of the things that's interesting, and

21:37

we can even go back and talk about the odds to win

21:40

or the odds the top three, I'm not

21:42

even sure at Daytona and Talladega

21:44

earlier this year that we have seen the

21:47

odds be so big on so

21:49

many good drivers. I mean talking about the

21:51

fact that we've got double digits to win

21:53

the race all the way to the favorite a Kyle

21:55

Busch. And when you look at these guys

21:58

that are getting these top threes that are plus eight

22:00

hundreds and ten to ones, eleven to ones, I think

22:02

that just kind of is all about the unpredictability

22:06

of what this race is going to play out, don't you agree?

22:09

Yeah? Absolutely. I mean when you got Kyle Busch

22:11

on a super speed by style race is your favorite,

22:13

that definitely shows that the odds bakers

22:15

are scratching their heads, going, well,

22:17

he's run really well lately, so maybe

22:20

we just need to put him up there. It

22:22

definitely has them worried. I like a lot

22:24

of these numbers. You're getting double digits all through the field,

22:27

So Motley, we're guaranteed a double digit winner

22:29

at this point.

22:29

Yeah, we are.

22:30

And I think if there's ever going to be one of those kind of weeks

22:32

where you say, hey, you know what, I

22:34

could go bet three guys to win or

22:37

four guys to win, I mean your odds are going to

22:39

be pretty good if you're able to do that. Okay,

22:41

we come back on Gone Racing. We don't have in d'ar over head

22:43

to heads this week. We'll get straight into our group

22:45

matchups, talking about this week at Atlanta.

back here in the Vson studios here at

23:44

from the Space Coast they

23:46

call it down in Florida. Brendan Gonn,

23:48

who is remote, I don't even know if

23:50

we can see his video or we

23:52

may just have his moke shot on the screen right now. But Brendan,

23:55

we're getting under our group matchups here for Atlanta

23:58

this week. We talked about the fact this is our first

24:00

track that we're running our second event of the year on and

24:03

group A and then we're gonna find this with all of our groups.

24:05

It's really a matter of who's in the group, not really the numbers,

24:07

because the numbers are going to be pretty much the same group.

24:10

Bay we got Chase Elliott and Joey Logano

24:12

was the favorites at plus two sixty five, Denny

24:14

Hamlin plus two to seventy five, Ryan Blaney

24:17

two eighty.

24:18

Well, what I like here is I see two Fords at

24:20

two sixty five and two eighty against

24:22

a Chevy and a Toyota. I like all

24:25

of them, but Logano and Blaney teamed

24:27

up in this group. You know, I

24:29

I'm gonna stick with a Ford

24:31

in this group and Logano coming off his last

24:33

win. I'm going to

24:36

give the nod to Logano because there's not enough

24:38

juice to go down to Blaney. But I

24:40

just I'm just tagging on it as

24:42

two Fords versus a Chevy and

24:44

a Toyota. So I like it.

24:46

Yeah, And I can see that too.

24:48

I mean, I think, you know, Logano probably gets excited

24:50

for these kind of races. I'm with you, though, you

24:53

can look at all four of these guys and make

24:55

a case for him to win, and look at some point, Chase

24:57

Elliot's got to be like, hey, we

24:59

gotta win one of these deals here. We're

25:01

not going to make the playoffs. I think that's pretty obvious.

25:03

And you know, this is his home track. I know

25:05

Joey Logano claims it a little bit because even

25:07

though he was born up in the Northeast, Joey

25:10

moved down to Atlanta when he was about I don't

25:12

know, ten eleven years old to race Legends

25:15

cars and kind of also consider as a sort

25:17

of a home track. So I'm sure this is a big deal for both

25:19

Chase and Joey. So this is

25:21

this might be my group where it's kind of me to

25:23

just say, eh, I don't know if I want to touch this one

25:26

or not.

25:27

I think we're going to say that about a lot of groups unfortunately

25:29

today.

25:30

Yeah, but guess what, we got to pick some of them,

25:32

or well, we don't have to pick any of them. I guess we

25:34

can pick top threes and winners and everything

25:37

else. All right, let's take a look at Group B, where Kyle

25:39

Busch is a plus two sixty five, William

25:42

Byron plus two to seventy, Brad Keselowski,

25:44

and Christopher Bell at plus two seventy five

25:46

and Brendan. The first thing that jumps off at me is

25:49

the guy who is the favorite to win the race

25:51

and the favorite to have a top three drops

25:54

all the way to Group B even though he's the favorite here.

25:56

And Kyle Busch, Yeah,

25:58

you.

25:58

Know, sometimes we kind of joke about the Westgate and

26:01

you know how they do their stuff. Are some

26:03

of ours come from DraftKings, some from Westgate,

26:05

back and forth. This is one of those where it's

26:07

a little bit of anomaly. But I'm going to take the same

26:10

theory I didn't grew back. Kyle Busch and William

26:12

Byron are both Chevrolets

26:14

versus a Ford and bres Keselowski

26:16

and at Toyota and Christopher Bell. I'm

26:19

going to stick with the Chevrolets, and I give the nod to

26:21

Kyle Busch just off of you know, what

26:23

he's been able to do this year, especially

26:25

at Daytona. You know, I just I

26:27

think that that that's a That's

26:30

the only way I can give a differentiation,

26:33

so to speak, is that Kyle Busch finished

26:35

tenth earlier this year, and he seems like he's running

26:37

better on these type of places with his new duds

26:40

over at RCR.

26:41

Yeah, And it's interesting you say that because I think we've

26:43

seen Kyle Busch's attitude

26:45

maybe towards these type of tracks improve

26:47

a little bit this year since he went over to RCR,

26:50

you know.

26:50

But William Byron, I mean he got to win this.

26:53

He won the first race on this this new

26:55

layout at Atlanta a year and a half ago. Brett

26:57

Kesilowski, he finished second there earlier

27:00

this year. Christopher Bell is probably the one

27:02

I would I would count out right there.

27:05

But man, that's a pretty tough one for me. But

27:07

I kind of agree with you. They're probably lean

27:09

a little Kyle Busch. All right, let's take a look over

27:11

at our group. See one of our favorites

27:14

is up there at the top, but it's a three way top

27:16

there. Chris Bush or Martin TRICKX Junior, Tyler

27:18

Reddick are all plus two seventy how

27:21

Ty Gibbs comes in there at plus two seventy

27:23

five. Hey, we're finally going to a track that is

27:25

not one of Martin Tricks Junior's home tracks.

27:27

So are you sure

27:29

about this?

27:30

Yeah?

27:30

Sure, Yeah, I'm giving this one to Chase Elliot.

27:32

This is Chase Elliott, And like I said, Legano

27:34

gets a little bit of credit there, but yeah, we're

27:37

not going to give this one to true X.

27:39

Well, so here's my problem. In this group. You've got Chris

27:41

Busher is sitting duck with the three Toyotas right,

27:43

Trecks, Redick, and Gibbs, all teammates,

27:46

all lined up right there. They're all three Toyotas

27:48

ready to go. But here's the deal. What

27:51

if the Toyota is getting to the reck right

27:54

what if those three are teamed up and one of

27:56

them makes the mistake and takes them all now

28:00

sitting pretty with one guy. So

28:03

I kind of like the Chris Buscher

28:05

only because if there's the Joe Gibbs

28:07

racing aka Toyota, rec it

28:09

can be Chris Buscher because I can't differentiate

28:12

between Tyler Redick, ty

28:14

Gibbs, and Martin Trush Junior to me all

28:16

the same. They all run well here. Redick

28:18

was fifth in the last race. Here, Gibbs was ninth

28:21

in the last race. Here, with Denny Hamlin right there and

28:23

chrispher Bell, all the Toyota's pushed really well

28:25

together. So I just would

28:27

give a Chris Buscher going on the theory of

28:30

if the Toyota's getting the wreck. They're all going to be

28:32

taken out in the same one that would take those out,

28:34

which leaves Chris Buscher well.

28:35

And one of the things I like about Chris Buscher

28:37

in this group is his teammate Brad Kaseilowski.

28:40

We expect Kaslowski to run well.

28:42

If those two can team up together, that's certainly

28:45

gonna work in Busher's favor. We know

28:47

Brad is certainly embraces this

28:49

type of racing, so I think that's a big help.

28:52

I look at true X and all right, throw

28:54

Chicago out, where literally he hit everything

28:56

but the pace car. It was not a

28:59

good experience for him and Chicago. But beyond Chicago,

29:02

there hasn't been a hotter driver on the circuit over

29:04

the last month of the season than Martin Trickx Junior,

29:06

and I believe that that momentum

29:09

is still there. I think he can

29:11

probably take Chicago and

29:13

present and pretend he never even went

29:15

to Chicago. So that's the thing with true

29:17

Ex right now, that team has momentum, That

29:19

team is on a roll, and they are kind of just

29:22

loving life right now. So I think

29:24

true X and Bush are definitely the two guys to look

29:26

at. I don't really think Reddick or Gibbs are going

29:28

to be the guys here.

29:29

Can I jump in real quick?

29:30

If you're thinking about a guy that wrecks

29:33

all the time at plate races, Martin Trucks Junior

29:35

is like, oh, it's got to be like minus ten thousand.

29:37

He just has no luck in it.

29:38

And I know because I keep betting him thinking that he's going to

29:40

win one of these plate races. He just

29:42

has Him and Kyle Larson probably have the two

29:44

cruddy lucks in these type of races.

29:46

There's probably some truth to that. You know the definition

29:49

of insanity, right, So if you keep betting him

29:51

and you keep losing, that's what.

29:53

I did with Brad last year.

29:55

All right, let's take a look at our group.

29:57

Would you say, Brendan, I'm making the money,

30:00

I'm Brad this year He's jumped off it, I'm on

30:02

it and I'm winning every week. But I bet Brad.

30:04

Yeah, Well, I have a feeling there's going to be some kind of

30:06

a Kesilowski bet this week out of our pit

30:08

crew.

30:09

I'll be very surprised if there's not. All right, let's take

30:11

a look at our group.

30:12

D here, Bubba Wallace, Alex Bowman, Kevin

30:14

Harvick all at plus two seventy, Eric Jones

30:17

coming in at plus two seventy five.

30:20

So here you got the

30:22

the Eric Jones Chevrolet, the Kevin Harrick

30:24

Ford, the Alex Bowman Chevrolet, and the Bubba Wallace

30:27

Toyota. But the two Chevrolets here,

30:29

one of them is leaving to go. So I don't

30:32

see that him being allowed to work in the

30:34

reindeer game, so to speak. Which

30:37

leaves you Harvick and Bubba

30:39

and Bowman. And you

30:42

want to talk about a group that I and I'm going to

30:44

try to go through and give you some stats

30:46

somewhere here, jeff right. I mean, that's what I'm

30:48

supposed to do. And I'm trying to find any

30:50

stat to give you, and it's like, uh,

30:53

I can't differentiate. And Bubba Wallas

30:56

third best point getter in super Speedway races,

30:58

last ten races. So if

31:00

I want to give you one, Bubba Wallace is

31:02

the one that I would say, yeah,

31:04

he's run the best

31:07

man. I just there's not a whole

31:09

lot of Kevin

31:13

Harvick emotion. One is his last races

31:15

Atlanta, and you know the

31:18

amazing first race in Atlanta. You know,

31:20

I mean totally different racetracks though, but

31:22

I mean filling in for you

31:25

know, the recently passed Daleenhart Senior,

31:27

that amazing emotion and win, and that was the old

31:29

Atlanta. This is his last Atlanta. Will there be a

31:31

bunch of emotion there? And Kevin Harvick bring

31:33

the ghosts of you know, Christmas

31:35

past.

31:36

I don't know, I think to me, I

31:38

really, you know, you hit the nail on the head when

31:40

you talked about third best average fanage

31:42

last ten races. Bubba Wallace, I think bubb

31:45

is the guy who's going into Atlanta saying

31:48

bring it on, bring it on. You know Bowman

31:50

and the rough week last week. But Bowman

31:53

hasn't really been that good even since he came back to the injury.

31:55

Harvick.

31:56

You know, we've kind of written off Harvick so many times

31:58

and then like even last year he go in wins at

32:00

Michigan when we thought he was kind of left for dead. But

32:03

I really really like Bubba Wallace in this group

32:05

only because I think he is probably

32:07

going to embrace this race and embrace this type

32:09

of racing better than most of the others.

32:12

All right, let's move along and take a look at our

32:14

group E. Daniel Suarez,

32:16

Austin Sindrick, Chris, Ricky Stenhouse Junior

32:18

all at plus two seventy and Corey

32:21

La Joy an interesting case here

32:23

at plus two seventy five.

32:25

Yeah, you know, Corey La Joy being the dog

32:28

here. I mean I wish it was a little more, you know,

32:30

I wish we had a little more juice in there, right, I mean two

32:32

seventy five is really tight. I

32:34

do like that because the Joy normally is the guy

32:36

right that knows how to how to wait and

32:38

get around these things, and you

32:40

know, do that whole What we feel is the

32:44

super speedway style ration. You know, he finished

32:46

fourth in this race earlier this year.

32:48

He finished fourth, you know, not last year this year.

32:50

So I don't dislike the Corey

32:52

La Joy pick. But you're putting them up against

32:55

a Ricky Standhouse junior who just

32:57

won the day twenty five hundred, right, I mean he's got

32:59

a lot moment in this sort of

33:02

sort of deal. You're putting him up against

33:04

an Austin Sindric who here's a guy that won the

33:06

atony five hundred last year and needs to

33:08

have this race to kind of get in. So there's

33:10

a lot of guys here that I'm just I

33:14

like, But Corin La Joy at two seventy

33:16

five is the guy that knows how to.

33:17

Wait it out well, and I think it's

33:19

something we have to look at in all of our group

33:21

matchups here, as they're all really really tightly

33:23

packed together. Stenhouse and La Joy

33:26

are the two guys are probably embracing this type

33:28

of racing more than anybody else, although

33:30

certainly Cindric is going to be a factor here for

33:32

some reason, I guess I'm kind of leaning

33:35

on the Ricky Stenhouse junior bandwagon

33:37

in this group. But again, it's gonna be another competitive

33:40

one. Okay, we come back on ground racing. We got

33:42

one group left. We'll give you our manufacturer

33:44

props and we'll give you our picks for

33:46

Atlanta.

34:12

This is Gone Racing, FISA's

34:14

premier NASCAR betting podcast. You're

34:16

your hosts, former NASCAR driver Brendan

34:18

Gone and Las Vegas Motor Speedways

34:20

Jeff Motley.

34:22

All right, it's our final segment of Gone Racing this

34:24

week, talking about this weekends race, the Quaker

34:26

State four hundred at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

34:29

Just south of Atlanta.

34:30

I'm sitting here in our beautiful Vson Studios

34:32

at the South Point Hotel Casino. Brendan

34:34

is down on the east coast of Florida

34:36

around Cape Canaveral, going

34:39

to space camp or taking the kids to space Camp.

34:41

So, Brendan, we got on

34:43

one segment to go here and we're in our final

34:46

group Group F and hey, guess

34:48

what, We've got a guy who's actually.

34:49

A clear cut favorite according to the oddsmakers.

34:52

Here Eric Almarola at plus two fifty,

34:54

aj Allmendinger and Michael McDowell at plus

34:57

two seventy five, and Justin Haley fresh

34:59

off that second place finish in Chicago

35:01

at plus two ninety.

35:03

Well, look, I mean, you can see why Eric Almirola would

35:05

be the favorite, right you think about him and how many

35:07

times he came close to winning a super speedway

35:10

race. But that's that's what have you done for me

35:12

lately? He hasn't done a lot lately. I

35:14

look at this and I go, Okay, I got

35:16

the two colleague teammates of aj Allmendinger

35:18

and Justin Haley. Who those two

35:20

guys right there, man, think about what they

35:23

were able to do in the Exfinity Series, right colleague

35:25

racing absolutely dominated

35:28

the super

35:31

speedway races in those you

35:33

know, college cars. So I do like

35:35

those two guys, But you know, the sneaky guy right there

35:38

is that Michael McDowell. McDowell runs

35:40

really great on these places. He's patient,

35:43

like Corey, he knows how to be there at

35:45

the end, and now he's point racing. So I

35:47

think that Michael McDowell is gonna wait, avoid

35:49

some of them, Rex, and try to be there at the end.

35:52

You know, I really agree with you there. I really like Michael

35:54

McDowell here.

35:55

And I think another thing that is

35:57

probably helping Michael McDowell racing

35:59

on these speedways over maybe the last

36:01

few races where we've seen him do well, is

36:03

he's run so many of them that the other

36:06

guys out there have confidence in him.

36:08

You know.

36:08

I'm not so sure that the veteran

36:10

drivers have quite as much confidence in Justin

36:13

Haley or even Allmendinger on these

36:15

type racetracks, whereas McDowell

36:17

has proven himself, and there's no question

36:20

in the world that McDowell there would be any

36:22

problem with a Joey Logano or a Ryan

36:24

Blaney or even the guy's in another

36:26

manufacturer, Denny Hamlin, Kevin Harvick, any

36:28

of those guys that would be willing to get behind

36:31

Michael McDowell. He's always been a guy who's

36:33

been able to lead on these type racetracks,

36:35

and he finds himself in the right spot. I just

36:37

think McDowell's a guy who is going to

36:40

run up front and maybe run up front a little

36:42

bit better than these other guys. So I kind of like

36:44

your thinking there on, Michael McDowell. Okay,

36:47

our last line we've got is our manufacturer

36:50

props. Chevy comes in with

36:52

a plus number. Finally, for a change, Chevy's

36:54

been in the negative number so many weeks. Chevy's

36:56

a plus one fifteen, Ford's a plus one forty

37:00

plus three point fifty. That is a big

37:02

number for some pretty good Toyota cars.

37:06

Let me read you the top ten from the

37:08

last Atlanta race. Chris Ravel

37:11

third, Tyler Reddick fifth,

37:13

Denny Hamlin sixth, Ty Gibbs ninth.

37:17

The Toyotas work amazingly well

37:19

together. They have extra ones now that they

37:21

used to didn't have that they didn't have before, and

37:23

they have great drivers in them. I

37:26

really like the three fifty Toyota. I

37:28

really do, only because it's a

37:30

massive return in a three man horse race. You're

37:32

getting over a third return in a

37:34

three man race even though there's only six

37:37

cars on the track. I like that Toyota

37:39

number. That three point fifty just screams

37:42

to me. Value.

37:43

Yeah, I'm an I am so in agreement

37:45

with you on that one. And look, you look at the six

37:47

guys that are in Toyota's I know Ty Gibbs

37:49

has never won a Cup Series race, but I really look

37:52

at those six guys and I say, all six of

37:54

these guys are capable of winning

37:56

the race. In fact, I think Bubba Wallace, Denny

37:58

Hamlin, Martin Trux Junior. I mean those three

38:00

guys, I think all are completely

38:02

embracing this type racing and they have done

38:05

it for a number of years. You know Whyatt

38:07

mentioned the fact that true X has had a lot

38:09

of bad luck, but you know, kind

38:11

of those things kind of come around, and I'm

38:13

not so sure that good luck for other than

38:15

last week in Chicago hasn't been smiling

38:18

on true X a little bit there, So I'm kind of with you there.

38:20

I really really do like Toyota

38:22

coming in their plus three to fifty. I think you got so

38:24

many opportunities with good drivers. All

38:27

right, let's move along. We'll take a quick glance at

38:29

our odds

38:31

to win the championship. Not

38:34

much movement we've seen over the last

38:36

few weeks, partly because last week we didn't

38:38

have anybody pull an upset when

38:40

that was actually running for the championship. Shane

38:42

Ben Giesbergan was not running for the

38:45

title, so it's only Racey's run this year.

38:47

So not a lot of movement other than

38:49

I think we're just continuing to see

38:51

Chase Elliott's odds go up and up and up.

38:54

I mean, are you at the point Brandan? I mean, Chase Elliott

38:56

right now is down to ten to one to

38:58

win the championship. First

39:00

off, it's gonna be hard for him to get in it without

39:02

a win, and even if he does get in it, he

39:05

doesn't have a whole lot of playoff points unless he runs

39:07

off three or four wins here before we get into

39:09

the regular season.

39:11

Yeah, I like that. I like that because everybody's

39:13

doubt him. Right now. He's a double digit. Last year

39:15

he was a plus four fifty. I think by the end,

39:18

I think that he absolutely is an

39:21

amazing contender, and that's a team that can

39:23

win for five races in a row, right, I mean, those

39:26

guys have done it before. So I think that's

39:29

your best value on the board. Is that ten to one there and

39:31

Joey Logano and Ryan

39:33

Blaney vote twelve to ones. I think that right

39:35

there just screams pick me, pick me, and hedge

39:37

my bet for later in the season.

39:39

Yeah, And you know the guys that have gone the other way, you

39:41

know, William Byron, Martin Driux Junior, Kyle Busch,

39:44

those were the guys to have gotten in on earlier in the season.

39:46

And you know, I'm almost you know, go back and you look

39:48

at it. I'm almost surprised that Truex

39:50

was was only eleven to one, that he wasn't more like

39:52

fifteen or sixteen to one, given that he didn't

39:55

even make the playoffs last year. So it kind

39:57

of surprised me a little bit that he opened

39:59

at eleven to one. He's down to plus seven hundred,

40:01

and you know the four guys at the top of the board

40:03

right now, Kyle Larson at plus five hundred and Byron

40:05

Trucks and bush All at plus seven hundred, they're

40:07

clearly the four hottest guys on the circuit right now,

40:10

so I guess it's no big surprise that they're there at the top.

40:14

Nope, that's and look trucks. Once again.

40:16

We can talk about it all day long. I have the

40:18

worst bet of the season, I admit

40:20

it. I will have to eat Crow and Admitte all season.

40:23

Martin Truex has not been the disappointment of twenty

40:25

twenty three.

40:26

Well, and I think you're going to be

40:28

forgiven on you eating Crow because now we can talk

40:30

about our picks from last week and

40:32

where we have the standing. Unfortunately we do.

40:35

Of course, I got shut out last week. It

40:37

was It was a brutal, brutal week for me. You

40:39

know, I was feeling so good about a Toyota

40:42

win until the whole issue

40:44

with Christopher Bell and Tyler Reddick and the shortening

40:46

of the race. Pit crew did get one right

40:49

last week, picking Michael McDowell

40:51

to win in Group C, and again they lost

40:53

point one point. They are literally dying by

40:55

pin pricks. It gets a zero

40:57

point one. It's like it seems like every week right now.

41:00

Brendan only got one right, but hey, it was an

41:02

eleven to one winner. With Shane Van

41:05

Giesberg and so Brendan. You're

41:07

up fifty three points on

41:09

me now and I am thirteen points

41:12

ahead of the pit crew. So I

41:14

need a big win here somewhere.

41:16

You know, you keep saying that the pick crew's dying

41:18

by pin prick, but I think that

41:20

what's happening is they're slowly catching

41:23

up to you by just sitting still.

41:24

Yeah, we're about thirteen. We're only three laps down

41:26

now.

41:27

Oh yeah, I mean, here's a deal. There have been

41:29

pinpricks. I severed a main artery. That's

41:32

a big difference. Come on, Okay,

41:34

we got to get into our picks though for this week, so

41:37

we'll let Wyatt take off on the pit crew.

41:38

Go ahead, all right, big money this week for the pit crew.

41:40

We're gonna go with Chase Elliott to win eleven

41:42

to one, and the pick that I've been hyping about since

41:45

probably last year, Brad Keslowski to win

41:47

fourteen to one. Really high on Corey

41:49

la Joy. He's been running really well here. I

41:52

should have could have won the race last

41:54

fall. We're gonna go top three with him at ten to one.

41:56

Bubba Wallace to win Group D plus two to seventy

41:58

and Michael mcdaalds win Group F plus

42:00

two seventy five.

42:02

Since I already know Brendan's picks and I've got

42:04

my picks done, there's a kiss

42:06

of death that is coming today, folks.

42:07

Somebody that all three of us are picking.

42:09

I swear if it's the Braad Kaslowski to win, I'm gonna

42:12

be mad.

42:12

Well it won't be that one, But I am in agreement

42:14

with the pit crew. I am gonna go Chase

42:16

Elliott to win. I think if he's gonna break

42:18

through, this is the week that he breaks through.

42:20

So I'm going Chase Elliott to win. I have

42:23

three group picks.

42:24

I'm gonna go Bubba Wallace with the pit crew

42:27

there in Group D, I'm going

42:29

into Group E with Ricky Stenhouse

42:31

Junior, and Group F I am

42:33

going Michael McDowell. And my last

42:35

pick is going to be Toyota to

42:38

win. Let's say you, mister Gahn.

42:41

So mister Gann is going to start off with that top Toyota

42:43

pick. Also that plus three fifty, I really

42:46

like that. Then I'm gonna go Brad

42:48

Kez at plus four hundred for a top three. I'm

42:50

gonna dominate. Top three's here Keselowski

42:52

plus four hundred on a top three, Reddick

42:55

at plus seven hundred for a top three, and

42:57

Hamlin for plus four hundred on a top

42:59

three. I just I like those

43:01

top three numbers better than our group picks. And

43:03

then McDowell to win Group F. I'm

43:06

gonna go with that. Michael McDougal pick and

43:08

pick him at plus two seventy five.

43:10

In group Brenda, do you have McDowell's

43:12

phone number?

43:14

I do.

43:15

You should text him and apologize ahead of

43:17

time that he will not be winning Group F. Since

43:19

all three of us have picked McDowell and.

43:21

Group have we ever won with all

43:23

three of us?

43:23

I think we might have gotten one right, but I know it was

43:26

a chest dain we lost on the head to head

43:28

last week. We all three had chest dain going head to

43:30

head over Elliott may.

43:32

Also picker at him top three and that was

43:35

the case of poor qualifying just stood

43:37

no chance.

43:38

Well that's true.

43:39

Well, Chase Elliot didn't have a good qualifying either, That's

43:41

who he was head to head against. Chase Elliott crashed out

43:44

in qualifying.

43:44

If Chase Eli's got eight plus strategy this

43:47

year, apparently.

43:47

Well, definitely things kind of fell

43:50

right in his lap or exactly the way he wanted

43:52

him.

43:52

So uh.

43:53

Anyway, so we got about a minute left in this segment.

43:55

Brandon, you look forward to this racing in Atlanta.

43:58

Do you think we got enough of those with Dayton? And it

44:00

doesn't really matter because what we got now is what we got now. But

44:02

these Atlanta races have been pretty exciting since redid

44:05

the track.

44:06

He've been exciting. But remember, I'm older, going

44:08

to show my age here. I really loved that Atlanta

44:10

track. I was part of that group years ago that

44:13

we used to We used to go up to old Don Hawk

44:15

and beg and scream and kick

44:17

and everything about please don't

44:19

repave, Please don't repave. So I

44:22

do love the old track. With this new track definitely

44:24

exciting. Fans get their money's worth when they go

44:26

to the race now.

44:27

Well they do, and it's definitely you're right, You're

44:29

right. It's very exciting to see these races at Atlanta

44:31

and it's one of our home tracks. It's one of our speedway

44:34

motorsports facilities. So looking forward

44:36

to having a great weekend in Atlanta. All right,

44:38

that's our show for today. Brittan was remote

44:40

down there, down there in Florida, so we'll

44:43

be back next week.

44:44

We'll break this race down and talk about the next

44:46

one.
