This is Gone Racing, Fison's

0:04

premier NASCAR betting podcast. Here

0:06

are your hosts, former NASCAR driver Brendan

0:08

Gonne and Las Vegas Motor Speedways

0:10

Jeff Montley.

0:13

Here we are guess where we are this weekend.

0:15

We are at Talladega. Well, actually

0:17

we are in Vegas. We are in

0:19

our studio here at the Circa downtown Las

0:22

Vegas. But we're going to wrap up everything

0:24

last weekend at Texas and then talk about one

0:26

of the biggest, baddest racetracks in

0:28

all the world, Talladega, this weekend. One

0:30

of your favorite Jeff Brendan, had some good runs

0:33

there at Talladega. But Brendan, before we get

0:35

into Talladega, we had the first

0:37

race of the Round of twelve

0:39

of the playoffs this weekend at Texas, and

0:42

you know, we kind of, I don't know, I want to say

0:44

we'd written off William Byron, but

0:46

William Byron was really good early in

0:48

the year, and he kind of went through this mid

0:50

season malaise where he just kind of treaded

0:52

water or whatever. And you know, I remember

0:54

Byron won some races early in the year

0:57

when he didn't take the lead till late. Well,

0:59

he did it again. Here he took the lead with six laps to

1:01

go, and William Byron has gotten himself

1:03

a ticket into the round of eight.

1:05

Very opportunistic. William Byron always

1:07

is opportunistic, and started the year

1:09

he was the favorite. At one point people were ready

1:11

to hand him the trophy. Right then he did the

1:13

typical what we talk about with him and Alex Bowman.

1:16

They just kind of disappear and

1:18

he ran well, you say, disappear, eighth,

1:21

ninth, tenth, seventh, eighth, whatever.

1:24

Which is a big difference, so from running second,

1:26

third, third, forest.

1:27

Yeah, so I mean he still runs well,

1:29

but he just kind of did that disappear and

1:32

then all of a sudden there's the opportunistic

1:34

William Byron again. Right, Guys make some mistakes,

1:37

Guys have their issues, and there's William

1:39

Byron sitting there pouncing takes the lead.

1:41

Makes it a great restart, by the way, that last restart,

1:44

what he did, how he did it, great job

1:46

of driving that race car. And here he is locked

1:49

into the loving life that he

1:51

is at Talladega and doesn't have

1:53

to worry about a thing.

1:54

Yeah, I mean getting into and knowing that

1:56

he's going into this round of eight, and he's going to kick

1:58

that off here in Las Vegas, a track where

2:00

he's already won out at once this year.

2:03

We know Homestead is a track he's going to

2:05

be very excited to go to, which is also in the round

2:07

of eight. So if you're William Byron right now,

2:09

you're you're feeling pretty good about

2:11

making it to the final four in Phoenix, I would think.

2:13

No, absolutely, he is. He's got to be one of the

2:15

guys that's sitting there just right now taking that big

2:18

deep sigh of relief and going, Okay, if I'm

2:20

Chad Canals over there, you know, competition director

2:22

for Hendrick, he's got to look right now and have a

2:24

big sigh of relief. Especially, you

2:26

know, if he can have two more mile and a

2:28

half's and have a good run again, looks

2:30

really good for him to get to that final round at Phoenix.

2:32

Yeah. And then meanwhile, we've got Kyle Busch, who

2:34

had a miserable weekend.

2:36

You know, we've seen some guys that you

2:39

know, again we kind of get into that situation

2:41

where there's some guys that are struggling

2:43

a little bit, and I think Kyle Busch he might

2:45

need to win one of these last two races.

2:47

Well, and Kyle Busch going to a place that notoriously

2:49

when we come to your favorite word and why

2:52

it's been screaming it all day in the control room,

2:54

crapshoot day. You know, Kyle

2:56

is the guy that over the last couple years we always said,

2:59

listen Talladay, Daytona. Kyle hates it,

3:01

don't do it. I think here's

3:03

a couple of things. One they just announced Kyle Busch

3:05

sold Kyle Busch Motorsports. I

3:08

think that is a lot. I

3:10

think some of the issues Kyle may have had lately

3:12

may not just be Kyle Busch in

3:14

the RCR race team. I think Kyle was

3:17

preoccupied and worried about other things. Now

3:20

he can put all of his focus back on this car

3:22

now going to Talladega where I'm sure that's not where

3:24

he really would.

3:24

But he did win the first race this year.

3:27

That's where I was going. And if you go to Talladega and Daytona,

3:30

if you take you know, Talladega and Daytona.

3:33

This year, Kyle Busch has had

3:35

a very very good year on the on the

3:37

super speedways. You know, he won Talladega

3:40

in the in in the fall. He

3:42

was seventh at the

3:44

cutoff race at Daytona.

3:47

At the Daytona five hundred, crashed with

3:50

on the on the white flag, running

3:54

second third going for

3:56

the w I.

3:56

Think when you look at Daytona and Talladega, if you

3:59

finish in the top five, you've had a good day. If you

4:01

ended up in a crash, then the chances are

4:03

you probably were having a good day too well. And

4:05

he was when you finished twentieth is when

4:07

you probably just had just an average

4:10

day and you were just hanging around.

4:11

So he had done a really, really nice job

4:13

this year on the super Speedway. So that makes

4:16

me go, Okay, I think Kyle Busch.

4:18

I think we have Kyle Busch's focus back and

4:20

not the place he wants to go to. But he's

4:23

kind of under the gun now. He's got to make sure he

4:25

does something there because he is right

4:27

now on the outside looking in.

4:29

Absolutely all right, let's take a look at how it

4:31

would have paid off for you this weekend. If you're taking

4:33

William Byron at Texas, he was plus

4:35

seven hundred to win plus two hundred for a

4:37

top three. He won his group B at plus

4:39

two hundred. He also helped Chevy get

4:41

the manufacturer's prop win at one thirty

4:44

five. He also was a plus line against

4:46

both Denny Hamlin and Kyle Larson, coming

4:49

in at a plus one ten, So a

4:51

good return on the win, not necessarily

4:54

a huge return on the others. If you took

4:56

William Byron and then we take a look at that

4:58

at the top ten at first off, I mean,

5:00

just look at second and third. Ross chess Stain comes

5:02

in one of the best runs he's had in a while, plus six hundred,

5:05

and hey, the guy who was the best.

5:06

Cast car the day, best car of the day, Bubba.

5:08

Wallace, he came in a plus five hundred. He finished

5:10

third. I think he was very disappointed with this third place

5:13

finish, but heck, he let one hundred and eleven

5:15

out of two hundred and sixty seven laps. And

5:17

I think we've said Bubba on these mile and a half's

5:20

is really good. Bubba at Talladega

5:22

and Daytona is really good. So if

5:24

you're Bubba, you're thinking, gosh, if I could get

5:26

myself about fifteen points ahead of

5:28

that cut line going to the roval,

5:31

and I can survive the roval, then

5:33

he's got to think, man if I could get into that final

5:35

eight with Las Vegas and Homestead

5:37

in that final eight. I mean he's got to feel

5:40

some confidence.

5:40

Yeah, third best point getter last ten super

5:43

speedway races, not just Talladega, last ten

5:45

super speedway races, third best point getter, So

5:48

you know, got a good shot there. And

5:50

when you look at the rest of that top ten though, some

5:52

guys that you know, how about Brad

5:54

Keselowski once again with another

5:56

great run, Daniel Swarez with a much

5:59

needed good run, and you know Stenhouse

6:01

which we haven't mentioned Stenhouse's name, and you

6:03

know since Daytona and here he

6:05

is with another top ten. And then Chase Briscoe much needed

6:07

for that freaking for that Stuart Hoss team man

6:09

man, they just.

6:10

Yeah, no question. And you know one guy that now

6:12

we're not necessarily surprised to see him up there

6:15

is Denny Hamlin finished in fifth, but after

6:17

what happened to him on Pitt Road, which was not his

6:19

fault for a change, had his teammate,

6:22

I mean Ty Gibbs just drilled him

6:24

in the side.

6:24

And tie up and tie in his

6:26

interview said I made a mistake, but

6:28

he.

6:28

Also opened up a gash in the side of that car.

6:31

I was shocked that that car and

6:33

so you know, right side didn't matter. Huh, right side,

6:36

right side is very surprised. Right side door sees

6:38

no air in the corner. It's it's

6:40

a full vacuum right there. It wasn't going to bother

6:42

him.

6:43

But going back to Bubba Wallace, you know, Bubba

6:46

had the best day he's had in a long

6:49

time. And if I'm if I'm a better I

6:51

got to look at that and say, Bubba has had a lot

6:53

of good runs lately. But what I liked,

6:56

and this is what I liked about it his inn. I

6:58

didn't like his interview afterwards, where he you know, yeah,

7:01

he's too hard on him, so he's too hard on himself.

7:03

But what I did really like was

7:06

Kyle Larson. Everybody starts screaming, look, he's

7:08

everybody, not our normal show for betting,

7:11

right. But Kyle Larson

7:13

came out and they said, well, Bubba this and that, and he goes, Bubba,

7:15

what I was running the bottom. Bubba

7:18

was on my side and I lost the

7:20

air. They didn't touch.

7:22

He goes, he did his job.

7:24

I did my job. I missed he didn't.

7:26

I honestly thought now, and granted

7:28

you you are a former racer, I

7:31

have never raced. However, I thought

7:33

if I were in Larson's shoes and

7:35

I thought I had a better car than Bubba waited,

7:37

I probably would have just gotten in behind him

7:40

and said, you know what, a couple turns later, I'm gonna

7:42

probably hop his outside and drive around.

7:44

And look, it's very hard to say that, but

7:47

it's very true. There is discretion

7:49

and valor right there is There is that

7:51

opportunity of you know what, I

7:53

can wait one more lap. But these are

7:55

two guys that you know it's getting later in the race,

7:58

and you know, not a whole lot of time I'm

8:00

left. But you know, absolutely that's something

8:02

that Kyle's going to look back at and go, Man, I only

8:04

had eleven laps to go. Eleven

8:07

laps to go. That's still tough. But

8:10

could have probably maybe waited it

8:12

out. But it's still nothing

8:14

wrong with Bubba. Their did a great job. And

8:16

then you look at the points what it did for him points wise,

8:19

jeff it put him. He was sixteenth

8:21

at the start or twelfth at the start of the round.

8:24

Guess what now he's ninth.

8:25

But Kyle Larson, who was right up there near

8:28

the top. He's only two points ahead

8:30

of Bubba. He's three points ahead of Tyler

8:32

Reddick, eleven points ahead of Blaney,

8:34

and seventeen points ahead of Kyle Busch. So

8:37

right now, Kyle Larson is the guy who

8:39

is sitting right on that bubble

8:41

and knowing that I mean, heck Bubba,

8:43

and we know how Talladega is. Bubba

8:45

could theoretically win a couple of stages. At Talladega.

8:48

Kyle Larson run twentieth and that's

8:50

eighteen points.

8:51

No, absolutely, I mean well at.

8:52

Eb eighteen points ahead of him before they ever get

8:54

to the final stage.

8:55

My question is, do you think Kyle Busch, he's seventeen

8:57

points behind, are you panicking yet?

8:59

Do you think do you feel that you have to win?

9:01

Or do I feel that I have good stages, good points

9:03

days?

9:04

And I'm okay, Well, I don't think Kyle

9:06

Busch has ever really gone to Daytona

9:08

and Talladega with the strategy

9:11

of running up front all day. And

9:13

I think he is gonna have to change that strategy.

9:15

He's gone, he needs stage points, so

9:18

I think he's gonna have to have a completely different

9:20

strategy than what we're used to seeing out

9:22

of him when he goes to Talladega. In fact, I think

9:24

if you're really any of those guys other

9:26

than maybe William Byron, maybe Danny

9:28

Hamlin, I think Chris Busher and Christopher Bell,

9:30

Martin Trux Junior, they're all in pretty good shape

9:33

if they don't get in a big wreck. But if

9:35

they don't, but the guys there six seven,

9:37

eight, I mean, these these bonus

9:40

points are gonna be huge.

9:41

As we know, though this whole thing can lopside

9:43

one wreck takes out six of those guys and

9:46

the four bottom guys. You know, there's

9:48

a whole lot of movement that can happen with the points

9:51

right now, especially with this race

9:53

and with the next ray, with

9:55

what a great cutoff race.

9:57

Well, you're exactly right. I mean you think about, first

9:59

off, the only guy who's really feeling good will

10:01

you, He's like, all right, but

10:04

you're right. I mean, not only can that happen at Talladega,

10:06

but think about if you're at the roval.

10:08

I mean, you could be in third place with three

10:11

laps to go, and all of a sudden you get spun

10:13

out and lose twenty five positions. Because

10:15

at the road lead lap, right, everybody's

10:17

on the lead lap at the Roval, so it makes a completely

10:20

different situation. All right, Well, not only

10:22

do we talked about Talladega and the Rovell looking

10:24

at our upcoming schedule. Once

10:27

those two races are over, that's the end of the round of twelve,

10:29

then we head it to the round of eight. We'll come right here to

10:31

Las Vegas the south point four hundred,

10:33

but the entire round of eight, I mean, and you talk

10:35

about some criss crossing the country. We're going to go

10:37

from Charlotte to Las Vegas, down

10:40

to Miami, then up to Martinsville,

10:42

and then we're going to end it back now here on the

10:44

west in Phoenix. So a really

10:46

really good mixture of races

10:48

I think coming up going into these last

10:51

few races.

10:51

And great cutoff rounds. Again, kudos to Ben

10:53

Kennedy, East Phelips, whoever makes these decisions,

10:56

great cutoff races, the Roval, Martinsville,

10:59

Bryant's.

10:59

Get yeah, And I think it just goes all the way

11:02

back to what we talked about earlier with Daytona

11:04

being the final race of the regular season. But

11:06

they've been able to do this. I think maybe at some point,

11:09

we'd probably love to see the final

11:11

race be able to have a little bit of variety

11:13

to it. So I don't know, we'll

11:15

see how that one shakes out going forward. What do you think

11:17

about that?

11:18

I still wouldn't mind it moving, but

11:20

I think that right now the cutoff race is phenomenal.

11:23

I just I'm so excited about that.

11:25

Well, we're pretty excited about what we've got coming

11:27

up to. So when we come back, we're

11:29

going to tell you everything about what these guys have been doing

11:32

in there in the past. At Talladega. We've

11:34

got your odds to win. We got odds

11:36

the top three. We'll talk about the head heads

11:38

not a big deal. Right back.

12:03

This is Gone Racing, Feasan's

12:05

premiere NASCAR betting podcast. You're

12:08

your hosts former NASCAR driver Brendan

12:10

Gone and Las Vegas Motor Speedways

12:12

Jeff Madley.

12:14

Okay, will have put Texas in a review mirror

12:16

and all eyes now are focused

12:18

on the Talladega Superspeedway.

12:21

Talladega, Alabama and one of the biggest, baddest

12:23

racetracks anywhere in the world.

12:25

And NBC of course it's that time

12:28

of year where they keep showing my

12:30

kickflip and landing on the wheels. I kind of chuckle them

12:33

like that.

12:33

No, that's true. I saw more of Brendan's

12:35

undercarriage in one particular race

12:37

I ever wanted to see.

12:39

He didn't talk about the undercars that he used to see.

12:41

Oh oh,

12:45

okay, it's a family show here, let's

12:48

get back. Yeah, about the race of Talladega.

12:51

And speaking of Talladega, I mean, when you look

12:53

back through some of the history we've got at Talladega

12:55

as well, I mean, all right, we've got we've

12:57

talked about Kyle Bush when the earlier race

13:00

spring Chase Elliott won this race last year. But

13:02

when you look at the history Brad Keselowski,

13:05

it's got sitting now. I know we talked about a crap

13:07

shoot.

13:07

You talked about a crash show. I don't talk about a crash

13:09

show.

13:10

Okay. Six six

13:12

wins, ten top fives

13:14

and fourteen top tens, and I.

13:15

Believe in twenty nine races, and I believe

13:18

his.

13:18

First career win, I think

13:20

it was at the expense of Carl Edwards, Yes, but

13:22

it was his first career win. And I believe he was great racing

13:25

for James Finch. I mean he hadn't even gotten too the

13:27

to Pinske the Makasuki Indian, I don't believe. See,

13:29

yes, so it certainly Brad Kasilowski.

13:32

I mean his numbers are incredible.

13:33

That's why I always say it's not just a crap shoot.

13:35

When you can do fifty percent top ten,

13:38

that's not a crap shoot. Ricky Stenhouse nine

13:40

top tens and twenty starts, that's not a

13:43

crap shoot. You know there's

13:45

numbers here.

13:46

How about Danny fifteen top tens and thirty

13:48

five starts.

13:49

I mean that, you know it's just under that's you

13:51

know, forty one percent there, But it's

13:53

Kevin Harvick forty five starts that they'll man

13:55

with the most, twenty or nineteen top

13:58

tens. You know, there's some great stats here.

14:00

But Brad with those six wins man

14:02

and right now with as well as as

14:05

RFK has been running, maybe

14:08

foreshadowing we all know that Wyatt is

14:10

Brad Kaselowski's biggest fanboy. I

14:14

think that boy like that. I think we may have

14:16

we may have been able to foreshadow that

14:19

there's going to be a bet on Brad Kaselowski

14:21

this week.

14:21

Yeah, I would not be surprised to see that. It's also

14:24

really exciting to see how many different

14:26

drivers have been to Victory Lane that are going to be

14:28

in the field. And we talked earlier

14:30

about Bubba Wallace. Bubba Wallace has got to win

14:32

here. Ricky Standhouse Junior, who has

14:34

a win on a super speedway already this season.

14:37

I think Ricky Stanhouse Junior is a guy that everybody's

14:39

going to look at it. Ricky's always been kind of a wreckers

14:42

or checkers guy at these kind of kind

14:44

of tracks, so kind of one of the others.

14:46

So let's start taking a look at our odds to win

14:48

this week, and Brendan

14:50

kind of foreshadowed it for you right there. Brad

14:53

Kaseilowski is your favorite this week,

14:55

coming in at eleven to one. Now, one

14:57

of the significance here is that there

14:59

is no single digit favorite. It's

15:01

a double digit favorite. The guy

15:03

here at double digit winner for sure this week at

15:05

eleven to one. Ryan Blaney

15:08

and Joey Logano, the Penske teammates

15:10

and former teammates of Brad Kaselowski. They

15:12

both come in at twelve to one. Chris Buscher,

15:14

Kaselowski's current teammate, at thirteen to

15:16

one, William Byron, Denny Hamlin,

15:19

Chase Elliott, and Bubba Wallace all at fourteen,

15:22

Ross Chastain, Ricky Standous Junior,

15:24

Kyle Larson, Kyle Busch, Austin Sindrick,

15:26

Eric Almarola all coming in at twenty to

15:28

one, Christopher Bell at twenty two,

15:31

and a guy that seems to be running well every

15:33

week, Eric Jones at twenty

15:35

five to one.

15:36

Well, look, let's start with Brad Kaselowski won. He's eleven

15:38

to one. But let's talk about why,

15:41

Brett. What have you always say? What have you done

15:43

for me lately? And we've said that RFK of course

15:45

until this year had not done a lot lately. But

15:47

Brad Keselowski second at the cutoff

15:49

race at Daytona, fifth in the in

15:51

the Talladega race in the spring. So

15:53

I mean lately, what has he done? He's done really well

15:56

at Tallada.

15:57

He's also won a couple of qualifiers

15:59

at Daytona. He started his new team

16:01

as well.

16:01

So so Brad has been running very

16:04

very well, not just over

16:06

his history but even lately. So

16:08

I do like that Brad Keselowski. Bet I'm

16:10

not afraid of that Brad Kabat, especially

16:12

when you talk if there's a race that he

16:14

knows he can get in with, now, this is

16:16

it. So they are the best forward team,

16:19

hands down. There's nobody else you can

16:21

talk about right now as a better Ford team. So

16:24

I think that Brad being eleven to one, I actually

16:27

like that bet. If you want the truth, I mean,

16:29

he's worth it.

16:30

Yeah. I don't disagree with you either. I find it

16:32

a little bit odd just the fact that we've got a guy

16:34

hasn't won a race in two and a half years as coming

16:36

in as the favorite. But it also makes sense why

16:39

he is the favorite. And you know, we've kind

16:41

of the one thing we've been talking kind of negative

16:43

about the Fords that really Chris Busher and Kaslowski

16:46

been in the only good Fords that have run

16:48

well lately. But now you've got your top four favorites

16:50

are all Fords, because seems like when you get to

16:52

Daytona and Talladega, the Fords do seem to figure

16:55

it out and run well together.

16:56

Well and Blaney. Look, we'd also talked about manufacturers

16:58

work together at this race, right, Blaney finished

17:00

second in this race in the spring, Kyle

17:03

Busch won it. Blaney though what

17:05

was second place Chase Briscoe was right

17:07

behind him, with Chris Buscher right behind him with Brad Keselowski.

17:10

It was a Chevy win with Ford Ford Ford

17:12

Ford and then guess

17:14

who the next Chevrolet was? Eric Jones,

17:16

that guy you talked about at twenty five to one who's

17:18

been running very, very well lately.

17:21

Jeff Burton had the best line I've heard in forever.

17:24

They talked about how Chevrolet turned off

17:26

the pipeline to Legas Legacy,

17:28

you know, when they announced Toyota, and

17:30

they've been running so well lately, even Carson josevhar

17:33

has been running great. And Jeff Burton

17:35

says maybe they need to turn the pipeline

17:37

back to Chevrolet and to give him some

17:39

help. I laughed at that one, but I

17:41

like that one a lot.

17:42

Yes, as a guy whose son drives a Ford, Yeah,

17:44

so yeah, I guess he can.

17:45

He can say what he wants.

17:46

All right, let's take a look at our longer shots.

17:49

But we also know with the history of Talladega,

17:51

we have seen some long shots who have pulled off

17:53

wins at Talladega. I mean it's happened a number of

17:55

times. Daniel Suarez leads

17:57

that list at twenty five to one, then

18:00

a bunch of guys at twenty eight to one, Tyler

18:02

Reddick, Ty Gibbs, Michael McDowell, Kevin

18:04

Harvick, Chase Briscoe, Austin Dillon,

18:07

Alex Bowman all twenty eight to one,

18:09

Martin Trix Junior, a guy who's never

18:11

really been a big fan of Daytona

18:13

and Talladega at thirty to one, Ryan

18:16

Priest and aj Allmendinger thirty five, Carson

18:18

Hoosovar at forty five, Corey la

18:20

Joy fifty five to one. Runs well

18:22

on these tracks, it's just there you go, Todd Gillilan

18:25

and Justin Haley at sixty five to one,

18:27

and Harrison Burton at one hundred to one, and he

18:29

could even find his way in because we know how

18:31

well those Penske cars and by

18:33

extension, he's sort of like a Penske car.

18:35

Look, Corey la Joy. The stats don't

18:37

scream at you when you really look

18:39

at just even the last ten Super Speedway races.

18:42

But the thing is with Corey Lajoy, he's

18:45

got one crash in the last

18:47

ten races. That's what you gotta

18:49

look at. Corey is the one that misses

18:51

these recks that waits around, just like I

18:53

used to try to do in the end, right he just he

18:55

hangs tight, he waits. He's there at the

18:57

end, and he's been super close to win in a couple of

19:00

in the last couple of years. So Corey, if you're

19:02

looking for the super long shot, Corey, how about

19:04

Justin Haley. Justin Haley. Remember

19:06

how this is a kid that dominated with that

19:09

colleague team in the Infinity Series.

19:11

He also won the Rain Short Race. He's got

19:13

to win at Talladay. Yeah, I look at that.

19:16

Go to that camera, Go look at those who

19:18

are not watching us right

19:20

now and only listening to see the look on my face

19:22

when he was running a twenty ninth and twenty

19:24

eight guys hitt and it started raining. I

19:27

know he has the trophy, but it is

19:29

not a reason to bet him. But no,

19:32

but when you're talking about where your money

19:34

is now, I'm just saying.

19:36

I'm just saying that there's a lot of names

19:39

here. Chase Briscoe finished third in the

19:41

Fall, Austin Dillon, a winner on a

19:43

super speedway. These are guys right here

19:45

that I do like a lot. On

19:47

this second page, and let's get to the top three.

19:49

Jeff because if I like him for a win, they're

19:52

probably gonna have good odds for a top three.

19:53

Well, and we've got some really good odds for top threes

19:55

as well. I mean, normally we see some top threes

19:57

that are in the plus high one hundreds

19:59

low two hundred. Well, our two top guys,

20:02

Brad Keaslowski Ryan Blaney are both plus

20:04

three hundred. Chris Busher's three forty,

20:06

Elliott Byron Wallace at four hundred,

20:09

Logano Hamlin four to fifty, Bush's

20:11

five hundred, Chastain, Stenhouse, Larson,

20:14

Cindric al Morola all at five

20:16

point fifty, Bell Is at six hundred, and

20:18

Harvick is at six fifty.

20:20

Once again, have about Bubba Wallace four hundred.

20:22

There's a good number on a top three, you know, Ricky

20:25

Stenhouse, Kyle Busch. I'm saying, I'm

20:27

selling that Kyle Busch is back focused and going to

20:29

run, you know, really stay where he's at.

20:31

There he is at plus five hundred. I

20:33

really liked Eric Almerola been runs great at

20:36

these places. Eric Almolla at

20:38

just at Talladega, four top tens, three

20:41

top fives and a win in the last ten races

20:43

at Talladega.

20:44

Well, and I think you look at some of these guys that you might

20:46

have said earlier in the year, they might have really

20:48

pushed it if they were running you know, second,

20:50

third, or fourth. And a guy

20:53

like Bubba Wallace, if he's got a third place

20:55

car and he's running third, Bubba's gonna

20:57

want to bring that home in third. I don't think he's gonna

20:59

risk finishishing thirty fifth and on his

21:01

lid yep to try to win a race if

21:03

he can. So I think you're looking at guys like that

21:06

that getting them for a top three there's probably

21:08

a better chance to get a return on your money than

21:10

trying to pick them to win.

21:11

Absolutely, And the second page has some great

21:13

stats too.

21:14

And yeah, it definitely does. So we got a bunch

21:16

of guys coming in here at plus eight hundred. Daniel

21:19

Suarez, Tyler Reddick, Ty Gibbs,

21:21

Michael McDowell, Chase Briscoe and Alex Bowman

21:23

are all plus eight hundred. Truex is eight fifty,

21:26

Eric Jones, Austin Dillon, Ryan Priest

21:28

and aj Almdinger are ten to one. Hosts

21:30

of Oars twelve to one, Corey Lajoy fifteen

21:33

to one. Todd Gillilan

21:35

and Justin Haley are at eighteen and Harrison Burton

21:38

at twenty eight to one, and I think that's a Where's

21:41

Corey la? Joey might be a guy though, who says, well, I

21:43

got nothing to lose. I'm going for the wa I want

21:45

to win at or I ain't finished in second or third.

21:47

I mean, look, here's what I look at. Eric

21:49

Jones ten to one, his last races

21:51

at Talladega, jeff sixth, sixth,

21:53

eighth, eighth, a crash at twenty

21:56

seventh, a crash on the last lap,

21:58

third, second, fifth, Those

22:00

are all of his last races, going all the way back to the

22:02

Gibbs days. But man, Eric Jones

22:04

is good there. You know, Austin

22:07

Dillon is good there. So I mean, I really

22:09

like a bunch of these second page numbers.

22:11

And you know how we feel here. We know the head to heads.

22:14

We're not going to spend a lot of time talking about them because

22:16

they're not very exciting. So top

22:20

threes are kind of the way to go, right, We've got groups

22:22

that get tough. Top threes. I like

22:24

them.

22:24

No, the top threes are going to be a really good one this week.

22:26

You know what I'm also waiting for is I'm waiting for that

22:28

big wreck with about five laps to go, followed

22:31

by the text from Wyatt saying I

22:33

just lost four winners with five

22:35

laps to go in that last crowd because you

22:37

know what's going to happen. So if

22:40

you guys could hear the sigh in our ears? All right, we'll

22:42

be back on Gone Racing. We'll give you the head to

22:44

heads and our group matchups.

23:03

23:36

All right, we're back here for our final segment. No,

23:39

not our final segnal, not our third segment, not our

23:41

final segment. We have a new We just

23:45

myself saying we had not done anything professionally

23:47

unprofessional and we just we just did

23:49

it. Well, there we go.

23:50

That's our show.

23:51

But now we're going to talk about head to heads for

23:53

about thirty seconds and then we'll move

23:55

into our group matchups. So if we look at

23:57

our head to heads and Brendan, there's

23:59

really nothing that it's gonna jump out off

24:01

the page at us there. There's actually no

24:04

one in any plus numbers at

24:06

all. Well, and one

24:08

interesting thing I guess is up there is you do have

24:10

the teammates Chris Busher and Brad

24:13

Keselowski, where Busher's even Keaselowski's

24:15

minus one twenty. But uh, this is

24:17

more of.

24:18

A well here's the thing.

24:20

You do a don't line on on a Brad Keselowski,

24:23

you can get even money on three guys. You do a

24:25

don't line on Denny, you can get any you know, the

24:27

ty gives a j Allmendinger Westgate

24:29

throw a little spice into it. Okay, I'm

24:32

I'm not sure why, but Tie is the favorite.

24:34

But you know, especially with AJ, didn't

24:36

he win like two or three.

24:38

I think I think between Aj

24:40

and Tye, it's whoever

24:42

has the fastest reck truck that

24:44

gets some back into the garage. Is

24:47

that wrong?

24:48

That's harsh harsh fellow right there,

24:50

trying to get Aj to come to the come to the brenninggaw

24:52

Celebrity Blackjack Challenge. Throwing

24:54

that out there is not gonna help.

24:55

If he's listening, I sort of just dropped

24:58

the ball on that one.

25:00

Okay, it's ahead it I'm gonn guess he's not

25:02

listening.

25:03

Throw that page away, Kevinne.

25:04

All right, let's move on to our group matchups. That's

25:07

why, like I said, we're not spending any time

25:09

really on head to hit. So our group matchups A

25:11

Group A, and we

25:13

get Brad Keasilowski, which is

25:15

no big surprise since he's a favorite to win the race heading

25:18

up Group A at plus two sixty, Ryan

25:20

Blaney, Chris Buscher, a whole team

25:22

of Fords, all coming in here at plus two

25:24

seventy.

25:25

And that's what really bums me out about this one

25:27

is that all four are Fords.

25:29

I can't give you any differentiation

25:32

right on, Okay, pick a manufacturer,

25:34

you know, the forde reck or the Chevy's wreck. These

25:36

are all four Fords. You got two RFK

25:39

Fords versus two Penske Forwards.

25:42

Very very hard to differentiate

25:45

between this group right here. So

25:48

I just Brad's the favorite, Okay,

25:50

I get it, he's the favorite. But and

25:52

Blaney very good, Boucher

25:54

been very good, Logano very good at these

25:56

places. So to me, Group

25:59

A is just way too difficult. And no spread

26:01

on him, no, no, no cheese left

26:03

on the trap for the mouse. So I'm just I'm

26:06

not falling for that one.

26:07

Well, it is loading us up with metaphors

26:09

today, but you know I'm

26:11

actually with you there. I mean, obviously,

26:13

the best bet on it is probably Brad

26:15

Kaslowski at plus two sixty. You're right, but I

26:18

can get I can get him at plus three hundred for

26:20

a TOPERP three and you get him eleven to one to win

26:22

the race. If he wins this group, there's a really good chance he's

26:24

gonna win the race.

26:24

Plus three hundred for a top three.

26:27

Is you know you don't have to win the

26:29

group.

26:29

Even well, I would tell you, having

26:31

looked through the groups before we started the show, that the

26:33

Group A is probably the one that interests

26:35

me. The least.

26:36

Yeah, yeah, just because.

26:37

There's really no no differentiation there, right. Group

26:39

B Denny Hamlin is a favorite at plus

26:41

two forty five. William

26:43

Byron plus two sixty five, Chase

26:46

Elliott, the winner of this race last year, plus two

26:48

seventy Christopher Bell plus two

26:50

ninety five.

26:51

Well, and this is where I'm okay, now I'm talking about, right,

26:53

I got a Joe gives Toyota. Joe

26:55

gives Toyota with two Hendrick Chevys.

26:58

So now I can say, all right, do

27:00

I go with the Toyota camp, do I go with the Chevy camp?

27:02

Which way do I go? And remember there's

27:04

not a lot of Toyotas in this race. And if I go to

27:06

the race, if I go to the spring

27:09

race, Christopher Bell the only Toyota

27:12

eighth place. The rest of them all

27:14

way down the list. So you know, if

27:16

I look at this, I can go Byron, Chase Elliott.

27:19

And who's the one that has absolutely nothing to win

27:21

in this race?

27:22

Chase Elliott? Well, no, no, William I Byron's

27:24

Well, neither one of them do yeah, really, neither

27:26

one of them have anything to lose.

27:27

But Byron is the one that he's

27:30

just sitting there going I don't care. So that

27:32

leads me with.

27:33

He still wants more bonus points.

27:34

Absolutely, but I like Chase Elliott in that group

27:36

just because of how it plays out. Even though

27:38

I've I'm not big on the Chase Elliott bandwagon

27:40

right now, I do like Chase Elliott just

27:42

because of there's not enough

27:44

toyotas to make them strong. And if

27:47

I'm picking between Byron and Elliott, Byron,

27:49

if I'm Byron, I have a cup of coffee

27:51

and hang out in the back.

27:52

Well, apologies to all of our listeners,

27:54

viewers and followers that

27:56

were not giving you anything to choose from, because

27:59

I agree with Brent than this one.

28:01

I do like Chase Elliott here. And it's funny. You know, we've

28:04

talked about how somehow Chase Elliott has to

28:06

find his way, I say to Victory Lane

28:08

before the year is over. Well, to me, this

28:10

is really he's got two chances. I think he's

28:12

got this, He's got next week, and I

28:14

think that's really it. So I think this

28:16

is a race where Chase Elliot. And here's the thing with Chase

28:18

Elliot out front, he doesn't really negatively

28:21

effect anyone else if he wins.

28:23

Now.

28:23

If Denny Hamlin wins, it locks him in. Christopher

28:25

Bell wins, it locks him in. Guy like Chase

28:27

Elliot, he's got nothing to lose. I like Chase

28:29

Elliott. Here, I'm with you, okay now, group

28:31

see we got a real throw a blanket

28:34

over these all over again as well. Kyle

28:36

Busch, Eric al Maroola, and Bubba

28:38

Wallace all at plus two sixty five

28:41

and Kevin Harvick at plus two seventy

28:43

five.

28:44

So to me, I've

28:46

got Toyota,

28:49

Ford, Chevrolet, and

28:51

a Ford the one I

28:53

talked about the start of the show. The guy that has the most

28:55

to go for right now, the guy that needs the most

28:57

right now is Kyle Busch.

29:00

He's more than Bubba Wallace, right he is the one

29:02

that is the first. He is seventeen points out of

29:04

the cutoff, and I just think

29:06

clearing his head of that race team, clearing

29:08

his head of that deal, it's done. He's

29:10

got all the emotions out of the way. He

29:13

can focus right now. He's been really good at

29:15

these places. It's tough to win to in a row at

29:17

Talladega. Let's not kid yourself, but

29:19

he doesn't have to win, just win

29:21

his group.

29:22

I like Kyle Busch, well, you

29:24

know, I like Kyle, But the guy

29:26

I would pick in this group right here is Bubba

29:29

Wallace. I like the momentum he's riding.

29:31

I love the confidence that he takes into Daytona

29:33

and Talladega. I do think it's

29:35

one of those groups where, really, unless

29:37

something calamitous happens, Al

29:40

Morol and Harvick are not winning this group. I

29:43

just don't expect them to run

29:45

that well. No, I think Kyle Busch and Bubba

29:47

will both run well.

29:48

No offense to Harvick. This

29:50

is his last race at Talladega. I

29:52

remember my last race at Talladega. You

29:54

know what I heard a lot of for the first time ever. Oh

29:58

God, that's gonna hurt, you

30:00

know, And it just it was one of those things

30:02

where to me, that was one of the reasons why

30:04

I hung it up, was man, I

30:06

instead of just focusing on it, I don't care, I'm going,

30:09

I'm going, I was like, ooh,

30:11

I don't want to go in that hole that it was the first

30:13

time in my head at Switch Jeff, And that's what I knew.

30:16

It was time for me to get out of the car. And I think

30:18

Kevin might be near that spot. So I'm not saying

30:20

he is. Don't please don't, don't everybody call

30:22

Kevin and say I'm uh, but I just

30:24

I, man, I I knew

30:27

I had that talk in my head to me.

30:29

I like Bubba or Kyle, and I'm going to lean towards

30:32

Kyle because there's more chevrolets to push him.

30:33

Well. And I'm with you. I honestly think that

30:35

the happiest part of this entire weekend for Kevin

30:38

Harvick is going to be way on

30:40

the on the trail track, you know. So I'm

30:42

with you there. I like Bubba here, all right, Group

30:44

D, and this one has got me kind of flummoxed.

30:47

I really don't know where to go with Group D. Alex

30:49

Bowman, Ross Chastain, and Kyle Larson are

30:51

all plus two seventy and Austin

30:53

Sindric is plus two seventy five. And

30:56

this is my group of just saying, man,

30:58

I I don't know, I

31:03

really I don't know. I don't know like

31:06

and basically I would not be betting this.

31:07

Group, you know. I can try

31:09

to find just some stats somewhere buried

31:12

in the old stat machine here to differentiate

31:14

anybody on this one. But

31:16

it's very hard to if I go to Talladegg

31:19

and I look at theirs Alex Bowman fifteenth

31:21

thust point getter. Okay, where's Kyle Larsonat

31:24

Kyle Larson, who keep on looking?

31:27

He's way These tracks do not set up for

31:29

some reason, Larson has not had any luck here.

31:31

You know, Cindric's a guy that typically runs

31:33

well in these type tracks because Penske is run well,

31:35

and we know he won the Daytona five hundred during his Rookie

31:38

of the year.

31:38

If I lean anywhere, I'll lean there.

31:40

I'll lean to that he is the guy you get a little bit more returnal.

31:42

And you got three Chevyes. If the Chevy's wreck, You've

31:45

got the Ford sitting there as the dog in this group.

31:47

So that's the only way I could differentiate it is I

31:49

can play the which group is going to wreck theory?

31:52

And if the Chevy's wreck, you got Cindric in

31:54

a Ford Loan Ford sitting there. Take Austin,

31:56

Cindric. It's better than It's the best

31:58

thing I got for you in this group is

32:00

because the rest of them throw a blanket over.

32:02

Now, I completely agree with you, all right, let's take a quick

32:04

look at Group E. We get through that before

32:07

this segment is over. Eric Jones

32:09

and Tyler Redick are co favorites at plus

32:11

two sixty five, Ricky Stenhouse

32:14

Junior and Martin Truex Junior at

32:16

plus two seventy.

32:19

We talked a lot about Eric Jones right now, right,

32:21

I mean, Eric Jones pretty darn

32:23

good. Ricky. It's always so tough for me to

32:25

bet Ricky because we've talked about his aggressiveness

32:27

at these racetracks and it's feast or famine

32:29

for Ricky. But Martin Treux I can take

32:31

that off right off the bat. I just feel like I just Martin

32:34

kind of like we used to talk about Kyle Busch, you know before

32:37

this year. Martin just doesn't really care about

32:39

this. Tyler Redick.

32:42

I like him, I like what he's

32:44

been doing. But once again, when we talk

32:47

Kyle Larson and Tyler Reddick, we talked about guys

32:49

that love homestead

32:51

right in a couple weeks Vegas in a

32:53

couple of weeks, those places you can really get

32:55

up high and do some stuff. We don't talk

32:57

talladego with them, even though we're great at

32:59

it. Just I'm going to lean

33:02

towards Eric Jones, the favorite in that one. Just what

33:04

they've done over at Legacy lately has been has

33:07

been pretty impressive.

33:09

Well, I'm agreeing with you that I'm taking Martin

33:11

Trix Junior off the list. I agree, and this

33:13

has not been really Tyler Reddick's forte

33:16

some of these tracks quite as well as other

33:18

tracks. So I'm with you. I like Eric Jones,

33:20

I do like Ricky Stenhouse Junior here, and

33:23

I could probably go either way. I'm gonna

33:25

go and lean Stenhouse only because I

33:27

get a little bit more of a return on the value.

33:30

And you talk about confidence, and

33:32

we know Ricky Stenhouse Junior goes into Talladega,

33:35

he goes into Daytona and he's got confidence.

33:37

Absolutely, he's not liking that there.

33:40

Okay, we come back. It'll be our final segment.

33:42

We'll give you the group f the manufacturer

33:44

props, tell you how we did last week, and give you our

33:46

picks for this week.

34:08

This is Gone Racing, FISA's

34:10

premiere NASCAR betting podcast. You're

34:13

your hosts, former NASCAR driver Brendan

34:15

Gone and Las Vegas Motor Speedways

34:17

Jeff Motley.

34:19

All right, it's our final segment of gone racing this week.

34:21

Right now, it's our final segment.

34:22

Yes, now, this is our final final segment

34:24

this week, coming to you live from the

34:27

Circa Hotel Casino in downtown

34:29

Las Vegas. Our new digs we've

34:31

had now for about four weeks, but it's

34:33

our Yeah, this is our last segment. We talk

34:36

all things Talladega, and we're getting

34:38

into our Group F now and we got

34:40

three co favorites here, Ryan Priest, Daniel

34:42

Suarez, and Chase Brisco all coming

34:44

in at plus two sixty five and Michael

34:46

McDowell at plus two to seventy five

34:49

and Brendan I think you and I are going to agree

34:51

on this one.

34:51

Well, it's a name that we probably talk about a

34:53

lot on the show as far as cash and tickets goes. And

34:55

he's back in Group F and he was a playoff guy that just

34:57

got out. I will look and say, look,

35:00

let's take Ryan Priesce. We know how tough

35:02

we've talked about Ryan Priest being lately, right,

35:06

I think he's willing to take a super speedway race

35:09

off a little bit and kind of relax. That could

35:11

mean he stays in the back till the end and ends

35:13

up missing the wreck and getting a great finish out

35:15

of it. So that gives me a little pause

35:17

for caution or for cause. But Chase

35:20

Brisco pretty darn good at these

35:22

places. That has me a little nervous because Chase

35:25

but the guy who's been the most consistent of these

35:27

things. I like McDowell. I just I think

35:30

that McDowell does really well at these places

35:32

for top tens in the last ten Super

35:35

Speedway races. I like McDowell allready there.

35:37

And I definitely think and again we talk

35:39

about how in these group matchups, we kind of tend

35:41

to, Okay, we knock this guy out, we knocked this guy,

35:44

and we think it's between these guys. I kind of do the

35:46

same thing here and really think this does come down between

35:48

McDowell and Brisco. I like

35:50

McDowell a little bit more. And I also like the fact

35:52

that he's the plus two seventy five instead the plus two

35:54

sixty five. So I'm going to go with you one hundred

35:57

percent.

35:57

There a couple third place finishes, third and twenty one,

36:00

eighth and twenty two, third and twenty two,

36:03

so I mean two top tens and twenty eight.

36:04

He's a Daytona five hundred

36:07

it's one on these tracks. So again, kind of

36:09

like what I talked about Stenhousing Group B. We

36:11

know the confidence level that Michael McDowell brings

36:13

into this. All right, let's take a look at our manufacturer

36:16

prop and we have got a pretty big

36:18

number on the Toyotas this week. It's our

36:20

The Chevies come in as the favorite at plus one

36:23

twenty five, which is a shocker

36:25

to me given that the top four

36:27

favorites to win the race or fords Ford

36:30

then comes in at plus one thirty five, but a big

36:32

number on Toyota at plus

36:34

three fifty. And look, I look at Bubba Wallace,

36:36

Denny Hamlin and Christopher Bell, those

36:39

three in particular, and I say, h.

36:43

Enticement, right, I mean, there's enticement

36:45

right there. Three fifty is a big number on Toyota. Three

36:47

fifty is a big number.

36:49

Gets six cars right.

36:50

Why it's the lowest is because it's only.

36:52

Only six, but it's still six cars or plus.

36:54

Three and fifty and six cars. You got Denny Hamlin

36:56

in that group.

36:57

Any Bubba and Christopher Bell, I think can all win

36:59

this race. I don't feel the same

37:01

about Gibbs, Reddick and Truex gives

37:04

it a wild card.

37:05

Get listen. Gibbs is the kid's

37:07

been pretty darn tough. I mean, he made a mistake last

37:09

weekend, but he's been pretty darn tough this

37:11

year. So I don't I don't discount Gibbs on that one.

37:13

He finished earlier this year he finished thirty first.

37:17

Had a fuel is

37:19

what it was listed as. Oh

37:21

he ran out of gas with the one

37:23

N four He ran out of gas. It was fuel.

37:26

Wow.

37:27

They left him out. He was he was like

37:29

running third or something like that, and they left him out. He

37:31

was leading.

37:33

You don't typically think of Talladega

37:35

as a fuel mileage place because usually we get

37:38

that wreck with eight or ten laps

37:40

to go.

37:40

Well, it's a fuel miles races. The one guy

37:42

that doesn't pit stays up there. I did that in O

37:45

four with Penske. I didn't pit, and I

37:47

was told I was gonna run out of gas and I said, I don't care. So

37:50

that's what happens, is everybody pits. Somebody

37:52

takes the chance, and that's with Ty Gibs.

37:54

But it doesn't happen all then often happens.

37:58

All right, all right, Well let's see how we

38:00

did last week since we can do, we can lea visit

38:03

Texas a little bit.

38:03

Let's talk about the overall, let's talk

38:05

about the score maybe, but I don't know about

38:08

last.

38:08

Week, go to that. But so taking a look,

38:10

in fact, I was the only one to pick a winner

38:12

last week.

38:13

Fourteen bets, one winner. Yeah, that's that's

38:15

pretty bad.

38:16

That's fourteen losers in one winners.

38:19

That's almost hard to do. Yeah, try

38:21

it out.

38:21

There's some that are doubled up in there, so it isn't fourteen

38:24

total different bets, but still

38:26

fifteen opportunities and we got one w

38:28

So that's a pretty bad week for Gone racing right there.

38:30

Yeah, I got sten House there in Group E. We

38:33

did not jinx anyone. Nope, there

38:35

was no one that all three of us picked. So I

38:37

suppose that was helpful a little bit. So I

38:40

guess that means we are going to get to our picks

38:42

for this week, and well we will go to

38:44

the standings. Right now, the pit

38:47

crew is still lagging well by far.

38:49

Beer might be a record for negative.

38:51

In fact, they are almost as negative

38:54

as you are to the positive.

38:56

Very close to its very very close.

38:58

But who will go through our pit crew picks right now, and

39:00

they're going with five winners,

39:02

so they are guaranteed to lose

39:05

four bets.

39:06

Yeah, but if they have one of these, if.

39:08

They win one of them, it will be it'll here's

39:11

the problem, four losses.

39:12

Only one of these wins, correct,

39:14

we'll get them back positive.

39:16

Well, this is true too, This is true too.

39:18

So they have Brad Kazilowski to win at

39:20

eleven to one, is teammate Chris Busher

39:23

at thirteen, Bubba Wallace

39:25

at fourteen to one, Eric Jones

39:27

at twenty five to one, and

39:30

Corey Lajoy that is the Hail

39:32

Mary to say, we are going to get

39:34

into the positive fifty five

39:36

to one.

39:37

I don't dislike it. I said

39:39

it in the very first segment. If you're looking for

39:41

the super Hail Mary, Corey Lajoy is a

39:43

great choice for the super

39:45

Hail Mary. But I want to point out with these

39:48

pit crew picks that are on the screen if you're watching the podcast

39:50

right now, only one

39:52

of these bets gets

39:55

the pit crew into into

39:57

the positive.

39:58

Will be black figures or red figu red figures

40:00

in the black black figures, Red figures. How

40:02

does that red?

40:03

Red's no good? Black is good golf.

40:06

You want red figures though, right, you got that's right golf,

40:09

because you get the minus by your name. So

40:11

that's a good thing in golf.

40:13

In business, you like to be in the black, not the red.

40:15

That's fair enough. I'm not a look, they

40:17

can do whatever they want to. I'm not a real big fan

40:19

of picking for sure. Losers.

40:21

It got to though, they got to take a shot. I mean,

40:23

I under your minus thirty eight points

40:25

right now. You got to take a shot at something.

40:27

Okay, all right, it's good thing. It's not

40:29

like in the equivalent match playing golf.

40:32

I think I did that last year at this time too.

40:34

I think you did too, and had that work out

40:36

for you.

40:36

Not very good, very good?

40:39

All right. I'll give you my picks, and I believe

40:41

it or not, I'm actually in agreement on one of these picks.

40:43

We get pit Crew, so I'm going to go

40:46

with that favorite. I like the Brad

40:48

Kasilowski eleven to one, so I'm going to go

40:50

with that one. By the way, I didn't mean to

40:52

mention that last week we did another

40:54

professionally unprofessional when I actually

40:57

read the wrong driver off my sheet

41:00

Circle one guy and read one. So Whyatt

41:02

has to text me after the show and I

41:04

lost either one of them, so it really didn't matter. But

41:07

why it is like was it this or was it this? And

41:09

I'm like, oh, yeah, well this is when I circled

41:11

and then I said.

41:12

The wrong on the one you say with

41:14

the wrong.

41:15

Odds, I might say it was it was a

41:17

debacle once the show was and

41:20

you never even knew about it about

41:22

it. See, I'm confessing. I'm confessing

41:25

to my mistakes. Okay. In addition to

41:27

Kasilowski eleven to one, the rest of my

41:29

picts are going to be in the groups. I am going to go with

41:31

Chase Elliott in Group B,

41:33

Bubba Wallace in groups c Ricky

41:36

Stenhouse Junior in Group E,

41:39

and I'm gonna I know, he didn't come through for me

41:41

last week even though he ran well and all of a sudden

41:43

he disappeared, Michael McDowell

41:46

in Group F.

41:47

All right, not bad, I've so

41:49

here's the good news. We're

41:51

not going to jinx anybody because we all don't have the same

41:53

bet. And my thing is, I

41:55

am maybe we can put that stat back

41:57

on the board, the points for the season. I

42:00

can't I can't read.

42:01

We don't replace slides on.

42:02

Let me let me know. Oh yeah,

42:04

oh that's right. I'm thirty nine. The files

42:07

corrupted the folks. Wyatt, who used to

42:09

talk, says the files corrupted.

42:12

I like that he talks to us. He can't talk to everybody.

42:15

I am thirty nine point five points to the goods.

42:17

So why would I go pick a winner?

42:22

Because you are wanting to run up

42:24

the score on us. You don't. You don't

42:26

want to be the Miami Dolphins and.

42:29

Me and the Dolphins. I got the four stringers in and I'm

42:31

trying.

42:31

To Mike McDaniels.

42:33

McDaniels, McDaniel. He he very classy,

42:35

dude. I'm a classic game.

42:36

I didn'tkick the what did go for the last

42:38

touchdown? Or field gold? Classic the

42:40

all time record.

42:41

So I'm not going for a w. I got Brad

42:43

Keselowski for a top three. Why

42:45

because why go for the win? Let's go for the top

42:48

three. Then I'm going to stick in the top threes

42:50

and I'm going to take Eric Jones ten

42:52

to one for a top three. I like that. And

42:55

I'm going back to my old buddy eighty three, Austin

42:57

Dillon for a top three. I like that a

42:59

lot also because he just runs

43:01

well there and I think that he's going to be working

43:03

really hard to help his teammate Kyle Busch.

43:06

So I think I see some stuff there going to happen. And

43:09

then I've got two in the groups. I'm

43:11

sticking in the RCR camp and I'm going Kyle Busch

43:14

in Group C the two sixty

43:16

five. It's like you and I said, think it's Bubba Wallace

43:18

versus Kyle. I'm going to take Kyle,

43:21

and then you and I both like group F. And

43:24

just like weeks before, I'm looking

43:26

at that Chase Prisco or that Ryan

43:28

Priest going maybe, but I'm sticking

43:30

with McDougall, and hopefully Michael

43:33

can can have another great run at the super Speedways,

43:35

which he does so often.

43:36

Well. Given the fact that you have done so well this

43:39

year, I guess we should all be, you know,

43:41

looking at your picks closely. You

43:43

know, I tay what Brendan, I don't know what it is.

43:45

I always get excited when it's

43:48

Talladega Week or Daytona. I do you

43:50

love to race it? You love to watch it.

43:52

I ended my career racing just these races

43:54

for four years because I love this. It's

43:57

my favorite races of the year. It's

43:59

the great equalizer. Even with this new car, it's

44:01

still an equalizer, And

44:04

mentally, I wish I could get the folks to understand

44:06

how mentally tough this race.

44:08

Do you ever sit and watch

44:10

a race at Talladega on television

44:12

and say, what the hell was I thinking being

44:14

in those races? Yeah?

44:15

No, I said that to Daytona. I said, oh my god, I am so glad

44:18

I'm not racing this anymore. I just it's

44:20

you know, when you go to Talladega, longest

44:22

oval, two point six miles, huge race, I

44:24

look at this and say, man, I'm glad I don't do it

44:27

no more. Well, I miss it. I

44:29

loved it, but I'm glad I don't do it no more.

44:31

Well. I think it's gonna be a lot of fun this weekend

44:33

seeing the races at Talladega, and we'll be back next week.

44:35

We'll break all things down Talladega and

44:37

we'll start talking about the robo
