This is the episode you'll want to listen to ahead of Thanksgiving Dinner, especially if you're worried about being asked what exactly it is you're doing with your life.

Here we explore that there is absolutely zero shame in not knowing what's next.

This week, we talk to Yang Hong, founder of Shoshin Insights, a data and engineering consultancy specializing in machine intelligence for social impact.

She’s also a founder of Kaizen Collective, which is composed of a tiny, select tribe of empathetic consultants with deep expertise in full-stack engineering, machine learning / AI, data science, design, product, security, and social impact.

There’s more. She’s a member of South Park Commons an invite-only community of technologists, tinkerers and entrepreneurs who have come together to freely learn, explore new ideas, and help each other launch their next ventures.

That's not all She also sits on the board of directors for One World Children's Fund - A nonprofit with over two decades of experience in building a unique portfolio of 50 vetted innovative grassroots nonprofits in 25 countries, providing health, education, safety, wellbeing, and opportunity for 500,000 children and youth around the world.

And if that’s not enough, she’s also an expert in data engineering, data science, machine learning, and Artificial intelligence.

But Yang wasn’t always all of these things. In fact, much like us, she felt completely lost not that long ago.

Yang’s Jill-of-all-trades approach to being successful, however you may define what success is, is to me, the epitome of both Millennials and Gen-Z life.

We worry we’re not doing enough, not keeping up with our peers, not getting enough likes or follows, not growing as quickly as whoever on the Forbes 30-under-30 lists…or simply, just not being enough.

But in reality, as cheesy as it sounds, so many of us are doing the best we can with what we’ve got. And if we’re anything like Yang, we’re actually on track to do exactly what we love and make a career out of it.

So before you start beating yourself up over how much you didn’t get done this year, listen to this episode and know that you are not alone and not finished doing.
