This week's sermon focuses on two things: not only do we have a new foundation for our lives as believers but we are also so deeply, deeply loved. It's easy to hear those words and let them skim off of our hearts, but how often do you truly reflect on the love that the Lord has for you? How often do you pray for a soft enough heart to let those words sink right into your core, past all the skepticism or projections of human weaknesses that we can sometimes attribute to the Holy God?

Sometimes I have a tendency to think that God has accepted me into His kingdom almost begrudgingly, more because He said He would and less because He actually loves me enough to want me around for eternity. It sure is a long journey to get to the point where we can accept God's genuine love just as He's offered it. But once we do accept His love, we will see a new foundation in our lives that is slowly built up on the solid ground of His gift of grace. It is sure, true, trustworthy and it is freely given. ~KT
