Maria is one of the greatest coaches in New Jersey high school history, coaching Secaucus High School for 27 years and leading the program to 16 NJSIAA state titles, 17 league titles, 15 county titles and 8 undefeated seasons. After her time at Secaucus High School, she coached Immaculate Heart Academy to 14 NJSIAA Non-Public State titles, 15 NJSIAA Sectional titles, 7 Bergen County titles, and 19 league titles. IHA also earned the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award 17 out of 18 possible years during her tenure.
