Lea Holz is a cannabis blogger, plant-based recipe developer, and fitness enthusiast currently living in Fort Myers, Florida. In 2016, while at the peak of her physical fitness, Lea incurred a series of mysterious connective tissue injuries which sidelined her athletics and changed her life. Shortly after, she was diagnosed with Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder with high probability of Ehler’s Danlos Syndrome — a genetic condition identified by faulty collagen production resulting in chronic injuries and joint weakness. Determined to rebuild her life, she utilized her experience in the medical cannabis industry and her passion for vegan cooking to nourish her body, regain strength, and rebuild her mindset one day at a time. Lea now chronicles her journey navigating the challenges of chronic pain by implementing medical cannabis and a plant-based vegan diet, at lealoveslettuce.com. By opening an honest dialogue about her experiences, she hopes to bring inspiration and hope to others who have been sidelined by health challenges to stay active and live their best lives.
