A noise event. An endurance test, but not necessarily. 

"I dreamt about a runaway trolley the other day...

I woke up today from a dream about a trip to San Francisco. On the bus was a man named Sam Peckinpah, I eavesdropped as one does when confined in a space like a bus and one's only a seat or three away. The golden gate was near empty and we crossed without incident, as though it were the now demolished bridge from about skid row/gentrified arts district into Boyle Heights. En route the city was littered with newspaper office buildings, brightly lit casinos, glowing billboards... 

Nearing the end of the ride, before finally heading out the off-ramp: I spotted a billboard with a 'Block Party'-era Dave Chappelle (his smile distorted to such a degree as it was revealing more gums than I ever remember the comedian/celebrity revealing before). I was offered a grip of pills from two seperate vials, and I ingested them without water (wondering only faintly what they were for; I'd gained the driver's trust by now, and I wasn't going to spoil the amistad, I guess). I was pointed out 'South Bay' past a stone clock tower out the window amidst a group of office buildings only a stone's throw from the place I sat at. As I wondered about where I'd sleep that night (deciding in thought to stay in town only maybe 3 days) my eyes fixed upon a 24 hr bowling alley, and then a motel with a sign on the side that read 'Happy End'. This is when it dawned on me that there's supposed to be a pandemic happening, and it dawned upon me that this was all a dream.
