For many Desi/Muslim families, family friend groups become a second family over time. It’s a special bond that’s formed over years of intense badminton matches at potlucks, funny Sunday School incidents, long Taraweeh prayers at the masjid, chaotic Eid parties, Iftar nights, hiking trips, and more.
The both of us have always felt that our group has become more than just a circle of friends that meets every weekend. In all honesty, it’s been our strongest link to our culture, tradition, and religion, one that we are extremely blessed to have.
