He created Future World Funk a project with DJ Cliffy that had CD sales of over 80,000. He has now moved onto his solo project Hackney Globe Trotter. He has produced over 13 compilations, djed in over 40 countries and headlined festivals like Womad, Glastonbury, Bestival, Roslkilde and Love Box. He currently has a monthly HGT residency at London's Notting Hill Arts Club. In his weekly show on OpenAir, Russ Jones plays a world beat mix up, covering everything from Cumbia to Soukous, gypsy , latin hip hop, reggaeton, dubstep, raverton, afro beats, vintage classics and beyond.
