This is one of the less intuitive ideas about the origins of the Industrial Revolution.  An historically unique concentration of skilled workmen were available in pre miracle England to translate the ideas of early modern science and technology into real industrial products and processes that worked.
The apprenticeship system with weak guilds was a uniquely British system, and is therefore a serious potential candidate for the origins of the industrial revolution.  We contrast the British system with the continent.
We also cover the one great regulatory failure of the Industrial Revolution the Spitalfields Act of 1773, often seen as the first minimum wage act, but the reality was a more sinister failure.

This is very important context to the understanding of the miracle.
