Several years ago, the leaders of the Where 2.0 movement hoped to revolutionize the geospatial field by putting data and analytical tools into the hands of a much larger, less specialized audience. In this episode, Sean Gorman, founder of GeoIQ and GeoCommons, talks with James about the fate of this movement as a whole, and of GeoIQ in particular. Has this all ground to a halt or is this the dawn of a brave new era?

Sean also describes his recent work in big data visualization and analysis at the new Esri dev center, and explains how his PhD research came to be classified.
