In this episode of Happiness From Within, I have the honor of interviewing Master Byong Yu. He is a world champion and was my TaeKwondo teacher back in 2010. Today he’s sharing his story of how he came out of the darkness into the light. His story is one of triumph over adversity and the will to never give up.

Master Yu was born and raised in Korea, but later they moved to the US. He overcame his physical disability, language barrier, and prejudice to achieve his goals. He changed his childhood nicknames, crying baby, and ugly boy to Lightning Bolt by taking the martial art circuit and eventually attaining first place in the world championship. He has won 7 world championship belts, 28 gold medals, and other prestigious trophies in professional and amateur martial arts competitions.
