Health tracking devices like the apple watch, fitbit and many others have become extremely popular over the last decade, but how accurate are they? Can they really determine our calorie intake or accurately tell us how we sleep, how hard we should train or what to eat? Dr. Andy Galpin, PhD and Professor in the Center for Sports Performance at CSU Fullerton discusses his research and thoughts on tracking devices. Andy also shares how we can best use these devices to achieve our health and performance goals. More importantly, Andy discusses how to reconnect with our own body and mind to optimize our training, nutrition and other areas of health. Ultimately, we need to find ways to integrate technology into our lives without eliminating intuition. Combing both is the key to optimizing human performance!
