‘If you believe in it then it is gonna happen, there’s no two ways about it’

Dan is not only a close friend but also a massive inspiration to me. I was lucky enough to be best man at Dan’s wedding when he married his beautiful wife and love of his life Helen Movahedi. A former professional Mixed Martial Arts fighter whose record originally went the wrong way with no wins and 8 losses and then managed to pull back 7 wins in a row! Dan is the epitome of resilience and character, able to apply his bounce back to not just his fighting career but also his home life.

Following his stint as a fighter Dan moved to coaching, which was how we met when he was my MMA personal trainer. We then hit it off instantly and became business partners and moved into promoting where we built Fury MMA to become the biggest MMA event in London.  Now Dan has gone into refereeing where he has now found his calling as the ‘third man in the cage’. Throughout life Dan has always been the yin to my yang.

Apologies for poor sound quality on this one but I’m sure you’ll agree that wisdom that Dan drops is worth the bird tweeting in the background and the occasional clicking noise!
