In this episode New York on Tech (NYOT) Co-Founder Jessica Santana shares how she gained momentum in her career by creating pathways for students of color to obtain degrees and careers in tech. As a Latina woman in corporate America Jessica struggled to find her way, but eventually she found her true calling in her desire to serve. In 2013, Jessica and co-founder Evin Robinson launched the pilot for NYOT with just 20 students in Brooklyn, and since then NYOT has grown to over 500 students across New York City. NYOT’s work has been featured in multiple major media outlets such as Forbes, CNN, BET, and the Huffington Post, and in 2017, Jessica and Evin were selected for the prestigious Forbes 30 under 30 list.

Jessica’s inspiring career journey reminds us to lift as we climb because we all have a responsibility to push the culture forward.
