Lupe Nambo-Basua is a Bilingual first-gen Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She founded Luna Counseling, a private therapy practice that aims to challenge dominant narratives in mental health by practicing Therapy from a decolonized lens. Her focus is to create spaces for people to explore healing, reclaim their narratives, and reconnect with their bodies.

Lupe built the therapy practice that did not exist when she was growing up and hopes that her representation will inspire people to take a step towards breaking generational cycles of trauma and normalizing mental health in our communities.

When she is not doing Therapy you can find her hiding under a good book. Her favorite genre is YA.

Lupe hopes that with this episode folks feel inspired to take care of their mental health and also not be afraid to go after the things that they want. People will try and talk you out of your dreams and goals but you have to stay focused and learn to trust your intuition. Protect your energy and live the life you dreamed of.
