Normally, people are going to dinner parties or having brunch with friends, taking a walk in the park or having a coffee date. Instead, we’ve all been confined to our homes and restricted from leisurely conversation. Depression rates are at an all time high due to the lack of connection with others.I thought to myself, how can I fix this? How can I remedy this ache for connection? Oftentimes at any sort of social gathering, we end up telling stories. Whether they be recent occurrences or from years past, the conversation always turns to “You won’t believe what happened,” and embarks on a hilarious story that leaves everyone laughing. I’ve been collecting content from all over the globe in an attempt to recreate the spark of storytelling and offer it to those who may desperately need a connection and, even more so, a laugh. My mission is to provide entertainment through the process of building a connection with my listeners. I aim to have an audience that feels engaged in our community and wants to share their stories with the podcast. I'm simply the middle man working to create connections through others by telling their stories. I believe that this simple act will bring a sense of unity to those who find themselves isolated during these trying times. Hosted by mother of 3, April Abegg, HEYO podcast recounts some of the BEST first hand stories bridging from hilarity to embarrassment in all areas from childhood to adulthood and beyond. HEYO podcast encourages listeners the to submit their own stories. So grab your AirPods and prepare to laugh your ass off.
